Mobian Culture Headcanon #2

Since Mobians and Humans/Overlanders occupy the same world, their cultures mix in curious ways. Example is Mobians wearing clothing (beyond shoes and gloves that is) either just cause they like the outfit or because they need extra protection from something.

Another example is the terminology for romantic partners. Girlfriend/boyfriend is a realatively new term in the eyes of Mobians. Anyone under thirty will use those terms (or partner for non-binary) but anyone over that is still adjusting and will more likely use the term "courted" as that's what the pair are doing.

Spouse, husband, and wife are all terms barrowed from humans/Overlanders and are used more in relaxed situations. They're polite terms to be used in pleasant company and often this will be what most stick to. However, "mate(s)" is still a term that Mobians can and will use. It's used to invoke or convey one's devotion to their significant other. A statement to all just how important that someone is to them. It's a powerful statement, and often used when someone else is over stepping boundaries or being disrespectful to the speaking Mobian's partner.

🚨: Thatcher used to have a better relationship with the law but ever since she discovered unethical medical experiments and helping people who can't go to the hospital or they'll get arrested (all her friends) and ever since she started committing medical malpractice like using a frying pan instead of anesthetic when she runs out, she's been more cautious of police since she doesn't want her medical license taken away

//Random headcanon I just remembered from the other day while @man-of-fandoms and I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and were discussing thr stuff from Mario Kart World. Instead of Daisy having Toads to act as her retainers and assistants in her castle, she actually has Shy Guys aiding her due to the fact that we see Daisy's emblem on the palace in the Shy Guy Bazaar track and it implies it takes place in Sarasaland. Daisy with Shy Guy helpers just seems super adorable to me, plus it would also give her another point of uniqueness to separate her from Peach

Drake: Well...! That's one way of describing it. But yeah. It's the benefit of having sixteen older siblings. I also have a recipe for Vaccuan (Cajun), barbecue, and pulled pork mac.

My muses and how they’d act if they ever get sick because I’m bored?, This will probably all be pretty basic however lol.

::Queen Marika::-> I don’t think she gets sick all that often, I guess that’s because she’s a god so yeah- but when she does get sick i feel like it hits her like a falling tree to be honest, like 10 to 100 real quick lol. I can see her acting more clingy to certain individuals in all honesty, not to an ‘uncomfortable’ extent but to an uncharacteristic extent.

::Spirit-Tuner Marika::-> Thai version of Marika however, she’ll get sick much more often honestly, it’s not going to hit her like a falling tree just yet however- but I can see this younger version of her probably getting sick like every other, if not every summer/spring. She’d would probably be as clingy as the older/future version of herself in all honesty.

::Radagon::-> I think he would probably get sick during the colder months of the year, but only at the beginning of the colder months however- probably just within the first few weeks or so. I can see him trying to keep up with his work by himself if possible, not wanting to get any other people sick.

::Messmer::-> he probably is a lot like his mother because I just can’t see him getting sick all that often, probably just once in a blue moon to be honest, however whenever he does get sick in a rare case he does- he needs to be forced to take care of himself by his soldiers in my opinion lol.

::Godwyn the golden::-> Godwyn, despite being one of the few un-cursed children of Marika he probably is one of the few ones that gets the most sick in all honesty, he’ll try not to really let it affect him but he also knows when he needs to take a rest so yeah, pretty normal in all honesty.

::Godwyn the prince of death::-> unlike his living version of himself he just doesn’t get sick anymore, he physically can’t at this point in time.

::Miquella::-> because I muse his ascended vision he is much like his mother, he can’t  necessarily get sick unless it’s something really bad-? But whenever he does/if he does get sick he’ll try his best to take care of it as soon as he can, mainly because before he  ascended he never wanted to get his twin sister any more sick then she already was/is.

::Malenia blade of Miquella::-> because Malenia is inflicted with Scarlet-Rot whenever she gets sick she really feels it and feels it hard, whenever she’s sick she feels like she’s dying more then she already does. She’s really just out of commission whenever she’s ill/sick more so then she already- that’s about it to be honest.

::Malenia Goddess is rot::-> this version of Malenia can’t necessarily get sick anymore actually, mainly because of the fact that she’s now fully is the living vessel of/for the outer goddess of rot at this point in time.

 ::Saint Trina::-> Trina doesn’t get sick all that often, she probably does a bit more then what Miquella does but still, she has a pretty good immune system in my own opinion, however whenever she does get sick she just sleeps, sleeps more then she probably already does actually, that or she’ll make herself something to drink that she’ll think would make her feel better.

::Fia::-> She has an amazing immune system, she hasn’t been sick since she was an actual child, sooo yeah. She’ll probably try to help others who get sick however.

::Roderika::-> Unlike Fia, this woman gets sick every other month most likely, it’s nothing to bad but it is annoying for obvious reasons, she’ll try to just rest it away and do what she can to make it leave sooner rather then later.

::Romina::-> Romina, much like Malenia in her rot goddess form just doesn’t get sick- or at the very least not that often anymore, it was probably many, many years ago by now since she was actually sick at this point. However when she was last sick she kinda half-ass taking care of herself.

Heh heh, I love you for asking this~ While she lived In China, Xiao never really gave marriage any thought. She was mostly turned off from it because her parents, being the traditionalists that they were, would most likely arrange a marriage to some random guy she didn't even know. Knowing her, the last thing she would want to do is break their hearts by rejecting him. She didn't really give marriage a second thought until she met Jin. There's no doubt in my mind that she had silly schoolgirl dreams about marrying Jin when she was younger, and now that she's almost an adult, I don't think she would want to marry anyone else but Jin~

Mobian Culture Headcanon

I just saw a little comic dub that gave me a new headcanon for Mobian culture.

They all wear gloves because their sense of touch is very delicate, like how cats or dogs don't like just anyone touching their paws. So showing someone your hands as a Mobian is a very personal thing to do, and it's a sign of trust and honesty with each other.

Let's discuss. (Most of this is headcanon.)

As stated previously here, Lawrence residing in Mason's woods is something the man is very wary of, as he is incredibly superstitious. Lawrence was hollowed, beheaded, and dumped in the swamp when Mason was only 18, and since then, though not strong enough to become a full-blown religious figure, Mason has always made an effort to keep the "living corpse" satiated. He doesn't visit the swamp often. In fact, he's only there once every few years to deposit an offering into the water when his crops or hunts become scarce. (I like to think this is how Law got his new head, aw <3) He believes the Lich somehow has an influence over the environment, and while he is partially correct, in his brainwashed and intense mindset, he thinks it can do so much more than it actually can. He believes the entity can make or break a seasons prosper by will. He does not pray to it, he does not worship it, he does not believe it is holy, but he still grants it the same respect he would any deity, and he does fear it like the devil.

Even while being as violent and cruel as he is, Mason has also shown an affectionate side! He obviously holds his beloved "Sandy" in high regards, despite what had become of her. He's also seen to be a very polite man when in normal circumstances, if not friendly. Before they are prey, I would go as far as to say MC is treated pretty buddy-buddy during their introduction.

I don't think Mason visits civilization often. Sure, he has a car, he has the internet, but at heart, he prefers his isolation. His heart and soul belong to the wilderness, and so far, he hasn't found a soul who has truly understood like he does yet. Being raised in an environment he was, he is not at all caught up with technological advancements or modern-day gadgets and such. I'm willing to bet he was pretty stoked when Fox invited him into the digital auctioning room, even- Wow! A live feed, with other people competing! It's like he's on the telly! Certainly a very special feeling day, that was.

Speaking of Fox... Mason's opinions of him are mixed. He respects him as an artist, as a salesman- but also... All vermin deserve to be hunted. What he'd give to get his hands on him, just for a night. Just for one night.

Mason, when online, is a total sweetheart by sheer accident. He's just so ignorant to the times, the memes, the slang, and doesn't understand how to work a lot of the tech he uses, that of which is outdated as it is. He loves the faces you can make on the keyboard! And when he discovered emojis- by God, his life changed forever. Mason fr fr

✂️: usually Girard looks after the haircuts for everyone but ther was one time when Thatcher couldn't find her hairnet before a surgery and she didn't want her long ass hairs getting all in this person's organs so she just kinda...cut it all off. In a really short jagged bob. Girard was horrified and fixed it up a bit for her so she wasn't an embarrassment to their organization (Thatcher didn't care at all)
