If he were of a sounder mind, Klavier might’ve woken Apollo up or even declined the call. It’s none of his business, anyway.

But he was not.

Klavier took Apollo’s phone and locked himself in the bedroom, standing in the farthest corner from the door as he accepted the call.

He cleared his throat and collected himself. Time to be Klavier Gavin, rockstar prosecutor. “..Guten Tag? Fräulien Magician, are you there?”

It’s rude not to greet someone properly, no?

“May I ask why you’ve rung so late, perhaps?”

Klavier shifted his weight between his feet (still wearing only socks) and messed with his already messy hair using his free time. His voice was quieter than usual, clearly trying not to wake a certain horned menace.

(Okay this is my first time doing a rp thing like this so it will. be uhm. interesting. Murderpollo please)

[In a little cafe in a city not too far from where Apollo lives, sits a man, probably mid-thirties, anxiously running his hand through the messy strands of his long hair. He's waiting on someone to arrive, it seems. This man is the Teller. He hasn't met up with anyone in a long time, and face-to-face social interactions aren't exactly his strong suit....

He looks around at the activity around him, shifting in his chair constantly. It's not too busy, but just busy enough that nobody might overhear the conversation he is about to have. He taps his foot before inhaling and adjusting his mask, mumbling to himself.]

"...Breathe, you're fine. He won't do what they did last time..."

[He mumbles some other incoherent things before looking up once more and seeing Apollo finally walk in, and he starts waving him over, trying to catch his attention.]

"Justice!"

[Even wearing clothing more casual than his usual wear, the jacket, bandages and hair made the man stick out as much as always.

Apollo hadn't known what to expect. What this person looked like, if they were even going to come. He hoped the latter was true. At this point, there was a rather tiny number of things he'd willingly exit his apartment for, and this just barely made it. To his relief, the person indicating him was spotted, garnering a slight sigh from the attorney. And the mask... that seemed like it'd be something his correspondent would wear, didn't it? Dodging a few people in his way, he walked over, slowing his steps once he reached the edge of the table. The figure was stared at for a few moments before he crossed his arms, muttering out a question.]

"...The Teller, right?"

[He had to check, just in case.]

"It was a joke at first, but that doesn't mean I was incorrect, does it? He must've forgotten SOMETHING, he's not exactly the brightest. He never even committed a murder before this! So, with all that in mind, you'd assume that an amateur like himself would mess up on something, even if it seemed to have no relevance."

You know darling I don’t think you need to be as scared of telling your secrets to this ‘other’ Apollo, he may be acting off himself just like you but he does enjoy the conversations between you so far.

I think maybe, just maybe let some of those secrets out…it doesn’t have to be the big one but it’ll help him be more at ease to not have that silly bracelet causing him more headaches because of your lies, let him get a ‘taste’ as it were of what is lurking underneath that handsome face ~

I’m sure your brother would be rather impressed if you could pull this off and persuade Apollo to spill his secrets ~

I was thinking, in your version, do you think it'd be possible that someone got wrongly accused of Athena's murder? In that case, would Apollo act as the defense attorney? Perhaps Blackquill in the prosecution since he, more than anyone, would want to prosecute the one who took Athena's life? (I'm not sure if by then he'd have been executed or gotten acquitted)

Would Apollo purposely lead to a guilty verdict so all possible suspicions on him are erased for good? Or would it backfire, the prosecution and/or the rest of the WAA would notice the lack of fight from the defense and begin suspecting something? Would Apollo forge evidence to fit his truth and subtly harm his client's case further?

(hopefully that's not too overwhelming, I've just been thinking a lot about this AU ever since I heard about it, thank you for sharing your drawings and ideas, they're really inspiring!)

\\ I actually am not entirely sure who would get accused in his stead. It's possible, sure- If someone was spotted in the park/general wooded/nature area where Athena was killed, they'd likely be picked up as a suspect, even if the evidence to them is weak. When I envision the situation, I honestly see the police having no suspect and unable to start a trial due to as much, because that's honestly a more interesting situation (has never happened before in AA in-game to my knowledge)

\\ Simon would be dead by that point sadly... if we're following the games to a T, anyways. In the hypothetical situation that he'd still be kicking (possible but I'd have to think hard about the whole situation), he would ABSOLUTELY prosecute that case, no questions asked. I'm not sure if Apollo would be on the defense unless it was someone he really cared about, like Trucy- though Phoenix would beat him to that one, at least. Apollo's behavior would definitely be fishy about the whole deal in any case, and I can see him forging evidence to either use himself or give to Wright. Phoenix gave him that bloody ace the one time, anyways, what was so bad about him doing the same to his boss? :)

It was really fun to make this, even without the animated bits! Only took me like 5 hours overall which is neat.

There was a beat of silence.

(ooc: i am high key SO obsessed w/ the idea of Klavier and Nahyuta office friendship considering their own pasts/the people they both know [or once knew, in Nahyuta’s case 😭]. also I need to interact with this blog more it’s so fun)

There were 5 (brief & scarily reminiscent of the beginning notes to “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?”) knocks on Nahyuta’s office door, followed by a certain glimmerous fop.

While it's more accurate to DD Apollo, I felt like the bandage kind of took away from things. Still saved it, though.
