Md finale thoughts/spoilers but I to quite like the progression of realization from ‘is the absolute solver spreading itself to have more hosts?’ to ‘oh cyn-solver isn’t spreading the virus on purpose’ to ‘cyn-solver is actively hunting down other solver drones that aren’t her own Disassembler “worker bees” (as seen with Nori’s notes in e7)’.

it makes sense that she’s hunting the others down- they’re not potential backup hosts, they’re rival “queens”, and I say that very much in the eusocial insect way. She always knew there was a possibility that another solver drone could become the new primary host as soon as she was able to possess the Unethical Test Subjects (trademarked) via sharing the Absolute Solver. Kind of a double edged blade? More eyes and hands to possess and work through by possessing them, but always with the possibility one of the “maiden queens” would win out in a physical confrontation over the metaphorical crown. (Which is exactly what happened when V and N stopped doing their murder jobs).

I think the reason glitch is releasing a bunch of teasers like 5 months before the episodes actually drop is to lure us into a full sense of security.

Like, right now in this very moment, I fully expect my still-beating heart to be ripped out of my chest and crushed to a fine paste right in front of me. I know that whatever I see in those last two episodes is going to hurt me in some way or another, I just don't quite know how.

So maybe by giving us a bunch of little snippets to work with in the meantime both keeps us fed and interested, while also giving me time to convince myself that it won't we that bad. And honestly? Slay. Like yes glitch, make me cry.

5 days until the Murder Drones finale!!!!!

So in the new teaser we can see what are clearly parts of Disassembly Drones, including the nanite injectors scattered around what is obviously the Cabin Fever Labs facility.

That brings up a lot of questions though since the Disassembly Drones were supposedly sent from Earth to Copper-9 to eradicate the Workers after the core collapsed, but these drone parts being here indicate that JCJenson were conducting experiments and such involving creating Disassembly Drones on Copper-9 even before the core collapsed.

Then there’s the fact that last episode seemed to imply Cyn was the one creating the Disassemblers due to the parts seen in the basement in N’s mindscape/dream.

My best guess for what’s going on is that after the mansion massacre JCJenson caught wind of what happened, confiscated the Absolute Solver infected Worker Drones there including N, V, and J, and then decided to conduct experiments on them, as well as various other drones (such as Nori and Yeva) in their off world colonies to replicate what Cyn did, just much less organically in appearance.

Only things likely did not go well due to the dangerous nature of the Absolute Solver (the program likely being responsible for Copper-9’s core collapse) which lead to them abandoning the project and attempting to cover things up by sending some of their experiments (such as N, V, and J) to the planet to wipe out both the evidence as well as any trace of the AS program that could be lurking by killing the Workers there (while also making sure the Disassemblers who have their own AS would die off too thanks to their overheating).

I’m probably wrong though. This show has a way of subverting expectations and I’m excited to see how episode 6 plays out.

So basically what you're saying....

The images of Earth being destroyed isn't 100% fact and that Flesha (or Cynessa as I like to call her), has been an unreliable narrator this entire time...

I clearly love this series but it is so, so frustrating to theorize about.

Because look at this.

Green text.

Yellow text.

This implies the computers at Cabin Fever Labs normally had green text (or red), but the one we see Flesha use has yellow.

Yellow is the colour of the Absolute Solver. Flesha had infected the computer she was using.

Not only was this a piece of foreshadowing about Flesha in Ep6, it also means we can't fully trust anything Flesha tells or shows N in this scene.

None of the pictures can be 100% trusted.

They could be real pictures that existed on that computer, or they could be complete fabrications Flesha is using to manipulate N into agreeing that UZI must die.

Some of them could be real and others could be fabrications.

Is this a real live steam of Earth's current, 100% destroyed state? Or is it an attempt to shock N into agreeing that UZI needs to be killed, with Earth actually still being intact but completely terraformed by the Solver?

While I think they are all likely real photos, it's in question because of text colour.

Ok so i saw a post mentioning how Spindlehorse was hiring animators again, and i thought "huh yknow im really curious what the turnover rate of animators is in this studio" because i mean its a genuine question considering how i swear theyre hiring new animators every other week

So then i checked IMDB...

Before i go on i wanna put some context because its kinda needed for what im about to say:

On IMDB there's a section of the cast and crew page labeled "Series Animation Department". This is the section meant primarily for animators and storyboarders among other jobs in the same vein.

Now. Can you guess how many animators/storyboarders Helluva Boss has gone through in less than 2 seasons?

444.

That is four hundred and forty-four individual credits, a majority of whom didn't stay for any longer than a few episodes. I have never in my life seen an animator turnover rate this skewed.

But i saw this and i went "well it cant be that bad right, what about other shows?" because admittedly i didnt know a lot about animation so for all i knew this was normal. So i went to the IMDB pages of other animated shows

RWBY: 164 credited animators over 9 seasons

Murder Drones: 11 Animators over 7 episodes

The Owl House: 88 Animators over 3 seasons

Amphibia: 73 over 3 seasons

Steven Universe: 44 over 5 seasons

And just to be fair let's include Hazbin Hotel, which had 62 in 1 season

This means that for one reason or another Helluva Boss has gone through more animators in less than 2 seasons than shows that ran for SIGNIFICANTLY longer go through in their entire lifespan by several times and that astounds me

A pause occurs as the inkling gathers his thoughts for this update to his log. "I have recently found an underground facility left by humans long ago. My Curiosities led to me going inside and analyze it." He spots a door left barely open and he squeezes inside. "Upon entering I notice that it's very dark in here. I can barely see a mere 2 feet of what's in front of me. Good thing I have a portable light source on me." He stops atalking and a flashlight is heard being turned on with a click. "This chamber appears to completely empty. There must somthing further inside." He stops talking and footsteps are heard as he moves onward. "There was nothing worth noting for a few minutes. But I have found countless number of Drones all around me, Both Worker and Disassmbly. Let's see if I can figure out what happened here." He stops recording and performs an autopsy on the drones to check their damages. Once he finished he wipes the oils off his hand with a cloth he carries on him and then continues his log recording. "I have finished an autopsy on these drones and Accoring to my examinations, something bit them and clawed out their internal oil supply. Unfortunately The Core Memory Processor and storage Systems are too damaged to download anything. thus the information to what did this remains Unknown." On the turn of an eye he spots somthing nearby and points the light onto a wall. "It appears that There are claw marks on the wall nearby." He then approaches a set of the claw marks mentioned and places his right hand on them. "Based on the curve and the depth of these Claw marks on this wall. I can determine flawlessly that these belong to Velociraptors and there's multiple of then. What's strange is the damage suggesting these raptors are made of steel and The age of these marks left here date Minutes before I arrived. Whatever left these marks. They are still here and they are Hunting something, and i want no part of it. So I better turn back and leave before I regret coming here." The recording ends at this point.

Some Murder Drones Episode 7 screenshots I thought were interesting and my thoughts on them :>

Nori, despite being a middle aged woman with a child, appears to be an Otaku or otherwise likes "edgy" and "scene" stuff, as well as listening to nightcore, very much like her daughter. Good for her tbh you're never too old to have fun

She also has a photo of Khan and what I can only assume is baby Uzi, though it appears to have blue eyes, but maybe it's just the lighting. Still very cute she has a pic of her husband

As well as all the previously mentioned Otaku stuff, she also drew herself as an anime character. She has a skinsona. Phenomenal (pos)

Nothing much here, just Uzi coughing up blood. Girl got the goop (gore) inside of her already

Lab Space. Apparently the Church was just down there and not even the humans know why. The canonicity of this is questionable; it could just be a joke

OT, as per google, stands for "Occupational Therapy". Makes sense for the context, and makes the bottom text funnier

"Fun Time To Universe Big Crunch: 87". The Big Crunch is a hypothetical way the Universe could end, where the universe folds on itself and shrinks into a single point. 87 "what" I don't know. If it's months, that 7 years and 3 months

Honestly the Murder Drones lore is super confusing. I think what this is trying to say is that every other Zombie Drone is doing poorly, (Except for Yeva), they are trying to reactivate 002 (Nori) via the USB. I'm not sure what this means. Maybe they only got the results they wanted from the two of them, and are trying again with Nori since she was the only other one that worked (also why they got Yeva when she failed; this may all be referring to how the episode opened up) Also, the date says SER. As revealed in the episode Cabin Fever, Copper-9 has months that Earth does not. SER most likely stands for Seramorris, the month revealed in that episode

There is a message board where someone who doesn't like robots is talking. They also are scared. Also no one else is using this system, which is unsurprising. "Ur aight ;)" Wait is the winky face intentional foreshadowing? Or unintentional?

We get the names of a bunch of other Worker Drones. Unfortunately for all 029 fans, her name was not visible. (also can someone tell me what "JWEB" could be short for?) And Yeva is said to have a patch. That may be the crucible thing idk

Cyn (which I will be calling this version Skyn [Skin + Cyn]) apparently took of the space suit just to give Doll the Withered Foxy jumpscare. Honestly really terrifying. If this photo was teased before release I think the fandom would've exploded

The MDs, Cyn's pets. Nori refers to them as "Nerfed" so the "Entity" can ensure control, and says they were made to destroy other hosts. I don't know why Cyn would want them dead, but I'm not the loremaster here. YouTube line is there because I couldn't be bothered after the Railgun image

Probably already confirmed, but doubly confirmed that a symptom of the Solver is giving Drones organic insides. A Worker Drone body with a rib cage and guts. I wonder what would happen if the infection continued uninterrupted (also R.I.P. Doll I loved you :frown:)

I'm sure everyone noticed, but when Uzi tried to manipulate Tessa, the ERROR noticed appeared. Already hinting Tessa is not all she says she is

Apparently the Solver can create Black Hole Saws. Interesting development (Blackhole Blitz)

I know most people (I think) see this as a joke and N just being a bit of goofball. But honestly, I think he did it intentionally to shock Cynuzi and give Nori a chance. In the Pilot, he licked V's sword to surprise her too, which means he isn't unfamiliar with doing something weird and surprising for the advantage

Skyn eating Doll's core. R.I.P. Doll again. Seriously, was that Doll in Core Form like Nori was? Or was Nori a fringe case because she was "Exorcised" and this is just a regular core? Questions, questions. Also yeah the Solver also gives you a Core. Fun

This tag makes me think that this body is Cyn's actual body. Not longer a hologram, but her actual body from the mansion. The reason Tessa gave N, J, and V their names was because that was the first letter of their Serial Designation (she's very uncreative). However, Cyn's tag was slightly faded, which meant her SD couldn't be seen, so Tessa gave her the name "Cyn" after her P/N, even though the other 3 already have the same P/N as Cyn (Tessa, again, is very uncreative)...

...and for some reason, Cyn or the Solver, which ever theory you subscribe to, decided to wear Tessa as a skin suit for some twisted reason. It did help her with the Captcha. Also scary because this doesn't have the right proportions for an adult (unless Cyn really forced that skin on), which leads me to believe that this is a Younger Tessa, and she faked having an older voice. Maybe I shouldn't call her my wife... I'm sure Eldritch J is still available :^)

(Seriously, the eyes are burnt out, leaving two eye holes over the visor, so she gives herself two X eyes so it looks better. Also yeah we found out what that thing on the "It Came From Copper-9" poster came from. It really was Cyn or Skyn)

Just a frame of the final...frame... for coolness. I'm probably also going to use this for a background. Also, this is definitely Copper-9. You can see the ring and ringless moon together on the right. Uzi somehow got sent to orbit after falling in the meat hole

Hey guys! Welcome to the next update of MD:Totality! Things are about to get fun in a few more pages, so hold tight, our boy N isn't looking so hot...is he...:P

Are you guys excited for the finale of Murder Drones? 2 MORE DAYS LEFT!!! The quality looks absolutely BONKERS GOOD in quality! Im so scared for all the characters, I've grown to love all of them so much, but hopefully we get a decent ending or cliffhanger! I know alot of people are upset they aren't announcing a S2 and the show feels rushed, but who knows, maybe it'll end in a cliffhanger and the show will be picked up someday again after TADC and GASLIGHT District come to a close! Don't give up hope yet!

In the meantime, the comic will be aiming to do the characters justice that 8 episodes couldn't give them on Glitch to the best of my ability! Just adding more characterization and info/personality of the universe/The Solver/JCJenson/characters etc. So I hope you all enjoy my spin on things!

(P.S Sorry for the late upload guys, real life stuff got in the way, got super sick and am feeling a bit better, but I'm aiming to have this comic out on time, minus exceptions!)

Here’s the synopsis!:

Barely escaping the mass destruction of Copper 9, as well as losing Uzi to the Absolute Solver, N, V, J, Khan, Lizzy and Thad find their way through the galaxy to the Earth-like planet “Jericho”; where they look for refuge and plan to fight back. Their new goal, stop the solver from destroying the last remaining human colonized planet by any means necessary, find JCJENSON and report their findings. It shouldn’t be THAT hard…right?
