Dude all these hate anons are just projecting at this point like for the love of krishna, either present facts or just shut your trap. Hiding behind the anon net. Sickening. Part of the reason why I follow your is because of your time to time unapologetic commentary on socio-political issues and I find them pretty well backed up with sources and quite balanced. If they want to criticise your take on something they should do it with proper referencing of sources and not as if they are learning to string sentences for the first time.
References ya proof hote to anon ke pichhe chhipke mujhe galiyan de rahe hote kya?😆
These people are just sorry in general, I don’t feel anything for them, the way that one tried to casually label me as a TERF because I did not know what JK Rowling was doing even scared me for a second, I thought I was going to be subjected to the Kangaroo judgement of these brainrots who will defame me, but thankfully I had the draft post (and the fact that the anon was really just projecting and had no proof) that saved me. Bhagwaan sahi mein hai yaar🙏🏼
All in all, thankyou for your kind words, we don’t inetract often but I like you from the start, thanks for having my back🫂

MP High Court: The person who said 'Pakistan Zindabad' got bail on a unique condition, will have to say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' 21 times every month
MP High Court: This condition has been put by Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal. He said that this condition of saluting the flag at Bhopal's Misrod Police Station will continue till the case is over.
Tumblr media
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted bail to an accused on a unique condition. This condition is to say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' 21 times. Actually, this person has been granted bail on the charge of raising anti-India slogans, but a unique condition has also been attached to it. Faizal alias Faizan was released on Tuesday on the condition that he will salute the national flag 21 times twice every month and chant "Bharat Mata Ki Jai". This order has been given as a bail condition so that the accused can awaken the feeling of patriotism and responsibility.
This unique condition of patriotism for bail
has been put by Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal. He said that this condition of saluting the flag at Bhopal's Misrod Police Station will continue till the trial is over. The court order states, "He will mark his presence at Misrod Police Station on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month between 10 am and 12 noon and salute the flag 21 times, as well as chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'."
Justice Paliwal believes that this unique bail condition may perhaps save the accused from future legal complications. Along with this, Faizal was also directed to deposit a bond of ₹ 50,000, and warned that the bail order will automatically expire if the conditions are violated.
The slogan that landed Faizan in trouble
The case is related to an incident in which Faizal was accused of raising slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad". Following which a case was registered under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code. The state lawyer, while opposing the bail plea, also said that Faizal is a habitual offender and 14 other cases are also registered against him.
Faizal argued that the incident had been exaggerated, but he also admitted that the man seen raising slogans in the video was Faizal.
While Faizal's lawyer argued that he had been falsely implicated, the court, without commenting on the merits of the case, granted bail considering Faizal's criminal history and previous charges, but attached a condition of patriotism to it.

Zindabad means long live x and used as generic approval and murdabad is the opposite.
Kinda surprising that English has the 'long live x' thing that's semi commonly used in chants and such but I can't think of a stock phrase used the other way. Down with X I guess?
So I've no idea how much they were editorialising for stand-up comedy purposes, but I've heard it claimed that the whole "death to America" thing is just an overly literal translation.
Like, there's this phrase in Persian which literally means "death to [whatever]", but it's broadly understood and typically used as a stock expression of (potentially even quite mild and trivial) anger and disapproval.
And this resonates with me bc I too am a dramatic bitch who would yell "death to uneven carpeting!" if I tripped and nearly fell down

today was an absolute washout, the police managed to keep the abvp barricaded, far off from the university. I’d say this was a good thing, no one got hurt, but I’d also argue that this is just a beginning. they’re going to come again. on a normal working day perhaps. perhaps on a holiday, when the students are less prepared, less on edge, less situated to defend themselves. and we’re going to have to deal with it.
what worries me is the quick calls to victory. the rallies called when nothing happens, when there is no event to contextualise. knowledge flows from practice, a form of knowledge that does not rely on the event, the process of production, the unfolding of history, is idealism par excellence. we cannot fall to idealism when the threat of violence propagated by the hindu right is immanent.
if you want to know the taste of the pear, you must change the pear by eating it. so said an old comrade. we ought to heed those words.
