Unfortunately, I’m not able to rewatch it because none of the Afam shows have been to Canadian Netflix so if I do end up rewatching it I’ll have to search hard for links so I’m basing this off of memory but like the core 4, the girlfriends, they had platonic chemistry, I believed they were friends

and I believed their relationship to William

When Toni left and they tried to fill that void with Monica I was like, no.

I liked the subsets in the group and the different dynamics everyone had like Toni and Maya not getting along but being there for each other and Toni never knowing what Jabari’s name was, I like that Lynn had so many degrees and couldn’t hold down a job and it became a who’s going to let Lynn stay with them situation.

In terms of romantic storylines, I don’t remember the details of them as much, like I thought Maya and Darnell had chemistry --- I also think it’s funny that Darnell changes in season 1 --- but I don’t remember if the man Maya cheats on him with, if they had chemistry, I remember being upset and I remember Darnell kicking Maya out after was hard for me to watch as a kid.

I think I also liked her with ... ... was it the neighbour? He was C-Note in Prison Break and he was the sheriff in Sons of Anarchy, and it ends up being this weird triangle thing with Lynn, but I think I liked them

Toni and Todd had a great banter, I liked seeing their verbal sparring I remember that, I did think she had chemistry with the painter dude who Joan accidentally told about Toni two-timing him.

I thought Joan’s “enchanted love” dude was corny, I remember being like you guys don’t have what I think you’re supposed to have for this enchanted love business, like y’all met for one night and you’re already cheating on your actor boyfriend, which was WHAT. I found that whole thing ridiculous.

I hated the William storyline, I don’t think I saw that one through, I just remember being glad they weren’t together anymore. I also didn’t care for William and Lynn having their friends with benefits deal. I think I liked William with ... ... was she a cop? Yes, was her name Yvette or Yvonne, am I making that up?

I don’t think I cared for any of Lynn’s romantic sls.
