#impulsesv#skizzleman#hermitcraft#soul eater#✩ | bonnies scribbles!#THEIR OUTFITS ARE BASED ON ALL THE COOL PARTS OF DRUMLINE OUTFITS I SAW!!#i cant remember how wavelengths work exactly but i think it would be so cool if at least some of them resembled songs -#- so that this pair could work for their combo move!!!#they can use each other in weapon form and carry around 'decoy sticks' that look like each others weapon form to make a pair when fighting#for sure close range weapons for a bunch of moves!!! i imagine the 'drum' would be their opponents body#they hit pressure points -- im really just looking at a deep/loud sound - like the one where you can feel your whole heart shaking#i think they would for sure also hit points in the ground as well - like in structures that have weak points - especially with Skizz#imp's little holder on the top bar of his outfit is magnetic and can move!! it usually holds sticks or other smaller weapons!#they usually look for a meister who can drum/they think has any rhythm as opposed to using each other#their wavelengths are extremely different - which makes their combo move: Polyrhythm Rupture! very hard to pull off#Imp is for sure used for closer percise range - while Skizz is used as chaotic sporadic damage#yay for youtube helping me figure out things!

I don't understand Lirin hate tbh. I feel like if you put yourself in his shoes for a second it all clears up immediately, even if you still don't agree with him.
He's always been a pacifist, with a pretty straightforward train of thought behind it. (Violence will always net more harm than good.) Despite this he spends all of his energy in the book 1 flashbacks fighting. Stealing the spheres, speaking up to Roshone, going to the dinner party, it'is all a means of resistance for him. Where does it land him? Both sons (plus rillir) dead, and him and Roshone both left shadows of themselves. He's left to sit with this for years before Kaladin comes back to correct the idea, and in the time, his worldview shifts from violence will always net more harm than good to conflict will always net more harm than good. I don't agree, but I totally get it!
Finally, Kaladin's back, and he has his son back to cherish and keep safe but wuh oh! Kaladin is actually conflict generator supreme for a myriad of reasons inside and outside his own control. And Lirin recognizes his words of pacifism carry no weight or obligation to anyone else, a big part of Vorinism is freedom (supposedly.)¹ but Kaladin is his son, who he shaped and had expectations for, and who ultimately listened to his teachings up to following Tien to the army for his protection.
I absolutely get why he pushed Kaladin so hard to follow his pacifism in RoW. He was so scared of losing him again, and the constant fighting wasn't helping Kal! He was freezing up on the battlefield! He was barely able to hold the scalpel after the fight with the Regal and the Stormform! From Lirin's perspective Kaladin is tearing himself apart throwing himself into the fight so of course he yells at him for diving headfirst straight back into the war blender and attacking the singers in the surgery room.
Most importantly, the story addresses this-Lirin is changed by the end of RoW, but everyone likes to kick him for how his trauma manifested still :(

Hello! I have a question, how do you draw lineart weight? that is, how do you understand where to make the line wider and where narrower? I've been trying to figure this out for about 2 years now lol. (Sorry for bad english)

I touched on this in a previous ask here !
I am...not an expert and am very much still learning ;; I ocassionally have little revelations but as I go to write them down or share them I then realise that it fundamentally breaks another 'rule'...so in order to explain one little revelation you need to explain the rule. I tie myself in knots over this Saying that, lineart weight TO ME is fundamentally all about 'rhythm'. human eyes love contrast...lines being thick in one area and then thin in another area is very 'stimulating' (or has high levels of 'appeal', to use the proper term). there are a few rules or guidelines you can use to help you determine where to place your thick and thin such as: - thick lines represent shadow or occlussion...therefore place them on the underside of objects or planes - by an extension of that logic...thick lines can represent gravity or weight or contact between objects (ie: if someone is sitting on the chair...make their bum line thick to represent the 'gravity' of their arse against the chair**). Likewise it feels more natural to render a feather in delicate thin lineart vs super chunky thick lineart - thick lines can represent movement / action / force - thin lines can represent something distant....almost blinking out of the capabiltiy of your eyesight. this means you can use thicker lines to make the object feel closer to the camera **this is actually the rule i've learnt most recently you can really break. if you're drawing a heavy rock on the ground...it makes sense to go 'okay the underside of the rock is shadowed and the rock itself is heavy so i'll draw a nice thick line on the bottom of the rock against the thin lineart of the ground'. BUT maybe....the rock is SO heavy that it is literally compressing its own lineart meaning that you get a thin line between the rock and the ground??? maybe...the THINNEST line?? as it's so heavy that the rock and the ground are almost becoming one? bah sorry i should really be providing images with these concepts Even in consistant-width lineart styles there's still a respect for the concept of 'rhythm' although it becomes the rhythm and harmony between high density and low density areas of detail. Moebius and other 'ligne claire' style artist are often really great examples of this :) learning by studying is always the best though! i spend a lot of time just looking at art i like and trying to understand what is providing the appeal / rhythm within the image and why. my favourites at the moment are: Grant Alexander, Esther Morales, Kerascoet, Hergé and a lot of mid- -century-modern illustrators haha hopefully...this vaguely helps...it's a long path that we're both on but we can do it!

Happy Friday! Have some trolls. A very random set again this week, but hopefully I'll have something a lot more halloween-y next week!
