It is created on the basis of an ancient Egyptian bas-relief. I wanted to depict different types of grief. Calm, when all the experiences remain in the soul and you accept what is happening with humility, grief with loud sobs, when it is so bad that everything breaks out, and grief mixed with anger, when you are angry at the gods and the deceased himself. Professional mourning is an activity that has its origins in Egyptian, Chinese, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures. Professional mourners, also called moirologists, are paid to mourn or give a eulogy and help comfort a grieving family. In ancient Egypt, mourners engaged in ostentatious displays of grief that included tearing out hair, loud screaming, beating bare breasts, and smearing the body and hair with mud. On the walls of tombs and inside pyramids, there are many images of crowds of people, mostly women, following a body throughout the funeral procession. These women were dressed in the colors of mourning and sorrow, blue-gray, and covered their faces and hair with dust and earth. This was a paid position, and the wealthier the deceased, the more mourners there were in the procession. However, the most important of these women were two, personifying the two goddesses Isis and Nephthys. They were supposed to be portrayed in the mourning ritual by the most professional mourners. Most of the images found show them walking on either side of the deceased. Strict rules applied to the women who are chosen to represent these two goddesses, such as that their bodies must be completely shaven, they must be childless, and they must have the names of Isis or Nephthys tattooed on their shoulders.

So I have one question did your version of intelligent descendants of the mantelopes did classified each post human species across the galaxy based on how useful they are as well as the amount of racism between each other also I want a much longer detailed length about your answer on this question and yes I'm so sorry be speaking so much by directly apologized
The Mourners found the other human species here and there but never interacted with them, merely watched to see if they are of benevolence or not. Moreso than anything, they were looked over for any Qu interaction or recent activity before passing over them. In the early times of the empire, the Mourners are 125% in hunting down their transformers. It is when the other species started to be uplifted by their own merits and join into alliances that the Mourners became involved. They closed the massive gaps between the species and became the 'parent' more or less as the ruling power, introducing them to their long history and situation. Just in time when the Gravitals were starting to become a threat that the Mourners weren't allowing.
They are caught before they became a real super power with their gravity weapons overpowering everyone.
The social intermingling between species with racism and whatnot is just expected and overtime overcome with the help of the wise and culling of lacking mercy on the Mourner's part.
If anything, Mourners don't play with stupid. They had a early existence of being animals and remembering even before that, they are not having any crap from anyone.

The mourners in various outfits … I always forget to draw Keening and Wailing’s wings but that’s ok for the sake of fashion …

This is watching your lover die. Walking away from their casket surrounded by the green and white wash of flowers. Finding it hard to breathw as you step through the door of the quiet house, no longer a home. And the emptiness of mourning thereafter.

Policemen try to hold back a crowd of fans, some of them in tears, to form a path for moving the casket of John Garfield to the hearse, May 23, 1952. This followed the funeral ceremony at Riverside Memorial Chapel. The 39-year-old actor had died of cardiac arrest two days earlier, in the Gramercy Park apartment of his lover, Iris Whitney.
