And Pol has just said it could be an Honda and that there's no space for him in KTM unless it's in GasGas

Sorry to get in here, but I have to add some more riders.

Taka is contracted with Honda, but his seat is in danger depending on what Chantra, and more importantly, Ogura does. So he might risk breaking ties with Honda to avoid becoming a test/development rider.

Diggia and Zarco are the riders in the Ducati sphere that could get cut. Both of them have 1 year contract, and we already know that Ducati are interested on moving Bezz and/or Álex to a “factory” bike *Pramac*. And if it’s Bezz the one that is moved, that could open a spot for Franco in a Ducati.

As you have commented, Joan might want to make the change, but not just because it’s a slow bike, but because he already knows how to develop a bike with 2 riders (although apparently Rins is the one that did the biggest job as he is the more sensitive rider). Nonetheless, Joan knows how a bike like Yamaha works because it’s the same as the Suzuki. Honda and Puig did in the past let a rider (in this case Jorge Lorenzo, who then retired) break their contract. Puig knows how unhappy and frustrated Joan is at the moment, so it might be a possibility.

And from Moto2? Acosta might become a “free” agent as KTM can’t give him a MotoGP seat as it was promised to him by contract. Pedro has already said he wants to go to MotoGP, and he doesn’t mind the colour (although he said red). Tony Arbolino and Alonso López might be into the mix too. Yamaha already took a risk with Fabio in 2019, so they might risk again. Also to throw some more names: Filip Salač, Arón Canet and Fermín Aldeguer, who was already called to make the move last year, but then all the noise started and his performance suffered. I think a win from any of them can make a MotoGP team to start taking notes

with both Fabio and Franco wanting to leave for obvious reasons, what do you think Yamaha will do if they both find a place elsewhere? look for younger riders in moto2? because no one on the grid would like to waste their time there with their level of performance and the development of the bike 😅 I really hope they escape the disaster that is this team 🫠

it's the million dollars question isn't it! first, fabio is contracted for next year (lord help us) so yamaha are lucky they have time to prepare for the departure of their lead rider because let's be honest, unless there is a dramatic change next year, fabio is gone.

as for franky, his recent statement changes everything if he really is going somewhere else. from the current grid, i don't see a lot of riders that would go to yamaha, not to mention a lot of them have a contract for next year. jorge martin would be a fool to leave that ducati and he knows that. the only one maybe that i would see going for this move is joan mir. he would be going from a slow bike to another one, but at least the m1 wouldn't make him crash that much. but again, he is contracted to honda for 2024.

moto2 riders it is then, but it's always a risk to put a young rider directly on a factory bike. i don't expect the protagonists of the championship to be running to go to yamaha right now. pedro acosta is linked to ktm and tony arbolino is rumoured for a gresini seat anyway. the one i could see as a realistic option is alonso lópez, especially since he allegedly already met with yamaha some weeks ago.

He also might have screwed up (apparently).

He said Diggia with the GP25 and Franky the 2024, but acording Pablo they aren't that close yet. Apparently there are some stuff still that needs to be solved. And Ducati/the team might consider not giving the GP25 to Diggia according to Tardozzi.

But you should know that I also deeply miss Kimi Raikkönen and Mick Schumacher in this sport 🏎️

-> motogp : I'm a Honda and Yamaha fan (yeah, I'm not having the best time of my life those days) - my favourite riders are Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez but I also cheer on Joan Mir, Luca Marini and Alex Marquez - I also miss Pol Espargaro as a full-time rider way too much btw 🏍️

I also watch some football but not as much as before (i'm still happy when I see good results from my favourite teams aka Olympique Lyonnais, Manchester City and Bayern München), I will probably start watching formula e when the new season starts (I watched the last race of the season by accident and I actually liked it) and I also have a liking for swimming (thanks to the Olympics 2024 and to Léon Marchand)

For my other obsessions (yeah, I still have time for more, that's surprising), you may have seen posts about movies/shows, about Louis Hofmann or about some famous ocean liner aka the Titanic

You don't get how fucking funny it would be if Luca doesn't actually make the switch to Honda and there'd just be a bunch of sad posts and fanfics and everything about it and in a few years we look back and just go "Oh well that never happened."
