This is my version. Songwriters Christina Perri and David Hodges put some interesting rhythmic combinations into the original. I wanted to emphasize those and in doing so ended up with phrasing that reminds me of tuareg band Tinariwen (check out Talyat Girl). Super fun to play and more difficult to stop than to just go on playing…

Yeah, Everyone knows the fake identity calls - You don’t really know who is trying to reach you - but you know something is going on. Should you stay still and force other peoples wishes on your already worked - out sleeves ‚ or do you want to be part of an unknown midlife crisis. Literally everybody can „fuck up“ - likewise a butterscotch can be all fudge or can be the big milk bounce down your throat, without claiming to be a barkeeper at your coincidence daughters’s birthday or weeding. Things can change, by any means - but like to claim the devil as being their friend in so many ways. Although the air above your head is also somehow fear - I would not trust a deal with devil for any reasons if I am planning on having a wedding.
