It's really apparent how so many queer people's search for a cool club that They can Also belong to clouds them to the fact that they should be dismantling the whole system about who "Gets" to belong to some club in the first place.
By virtue of needing someplace else to belong in, you should automatically already do mental work to realize that the fact you Don't already belong means there needs to be a change. And you don't make that change by gatekeeping who deserves to belong to this "Rejects only" Club that you've found from the queer community.
All of us should focus on unlearning harmful biases, the existence of which led to us being "Other" in the first place.
Like this is about how so many queer people are still phobic (or racist) against other types of queers. Like, no, honestly, being queer isn't actually about finding a new exclusive club just for yourself. It's about recognizing that society at large should not be separated into clubs at all.
This applies to alot of mental illness/neurodiversity as well btw. Like you're autistic but you still call people with personality disorders inherently abusive. When in fact you should be advocating for the fact that people with any kind of mental condition deserve all the same rights and decent treatment. That's the bigger picture. You shouldn't have been ostracised, because nobody should.
You having gained an entry pass into a group considered a minority doesn't mean you transform out of your existing biases. It's your job to keep listening to other people still.
Like I understand that being ostracised by society makes you crave the feeling of belonging. I feel that every day. It's not inherently harmful to have and want communities of people similar to you. But that's not the whole picture. You should recognize that you have this feeling in the first place because you were branded too other. And you're capable of enacting that feeling onto others all the same.
You shouldn't have been ostracised because nobody should.

Guys you need to fight for trans women. You need to be the biggest most aggressive and unwavering advocate for the trans women in your lives. You will not let anyone convince them to bury themselves. If they're forced to detransition or be closeted you will be there to hear them and know them as their true selves do you fucking understand. You will not let them continue to swallow their happiness until they choke.

Perhaps too spicy of a take
I am actually a victim of parental (motherly) abuse and I still enjoy abusive mothers in fiction bc I think it's good to portray them existing and it validates my pain. I find it really satisfying to engage with media about abusive mother relationships bc it helps me compartmentalize my feelings and experiences. I also am able to enjoy different things in fiction than real life, shocker. But I do not enjoy Fandom at large reception to these characters bc everybody fucking refuses to view it as the complex experience that abuse is and just opts to fucking shred the fictional mother character instead. That's not actually as cool and progressive as you think. It does not make me, as a victim, feel more understood and comforted actually. Refusing to engage critically with media about abuse bc it's a woman (gasp!) is completely trashy. Refusing to engage critically with media about abuse is always trashy but I'm talking about the misogyny aspect rn. It's the same thing as in my previous post: evil female characters are denied the privilege of being analyzed and viewed with any thematic complexity, which is often awarded to similar male characters much more (even when people acknowledge them as being actually as bad as they are).
Viewing abusers as simply "Pain dispensers" is grossly reductive and has the same problem as like. When in pro climate media, you portray the villain as this mustache twirling guy who just Really loves polluting and throws garbage on the ground for fun. Like it is that immature to me.
I think reducing evil female characters to "Grr she should burn in hell and be humiliated constantly and nothing else I have no opinions except I hate her and she sucks", honestly comes from the same spigot as the people who don't think women are capable of being abusive (or downplay/refuse to acknowledge abuse from women). It's like. Something something "Women are inherently more pure and innocent, and the ones that aren't, have some innate womanly failure to them and are not a sign of anything complex or real; they're just evil. End of story"
Like do you get what I'm grasping at here? It's not my most well constructed post but I feel a passion and want to make this post bc honestly I need to let this out

Speak English poorly. Speak with an exaggerated accent or with the pronunciations easier for your native language. Add your language to it. Speak with direct or poor translations of your words into English. Don't conform. Sound obnoxious, sound stereotypical. Be free. Fuck the americanization of the world. Prioritize your native language. Prioritize languages other than English. Listen to them. Listen to your own language.

It is okay to get fatter because of disability. You are not "downgrading" or "deteriorating" and you still deserve accommodation no matter how fat you are. Fat disabled people are treated like shit - if you were already fat, people don't believe you or think you inflicted your disability on yourself by being fat and therefore it's your fault and you should lose weight before getting help. And if you weren't fat but became fat due to your disabilities you're seen as a lazy slob who's not trying hard enough to help themselves.
You deserve better. It's okay to be fat and disabled. It's okay to gain weight while struggling.
