Theme: TTRPGs For Accessible Gaming Charity Bundle
The TTRPGS for Accessible Gaming Charity Bundle is going on until October. 20, and has 314 games included. There’s some real gems in this pile of games, so let’s highlight some that I’m excited about!
Unknown Journal, by Mori Seika.
Unknown Journal is a solo post apocalypse TTRPG in the same universe of its’ sister game Unknown Signal. In this universe mysterious beings have taken over the world, and they can take over human's bodies, making it really hard to distinguish between humans and monsters. It is best to ignore anyone you see, you never know who is human, and who is actually one of them. You'll need to look for resources, deal with monster encounters and maybe find some people you can trust.
Unknown Signal appears to be a video game designed by the same person, so this appears to be another way to engage with the world they built, with a journal and dice instead of a computer program. The printout includes a number of event tokens that you can cut out and put into an opaque bag; these will generate random events that will affect your character as they try to survive.
This looks to mainly be a resource management game in a post-apocalyptic world: every event has the potential to drain your resources, or force you to roll for consequences. Because events happen in a random order, your ending scene is determined by whether or not you’ve reached certain locations or met certain people, which I think lends this game to feel a little big like a choose-your-own adventure novel. If you love rolling dice to see what happens and using small prompts to generate fiction, I think you might like Unknown Journal.
I Want Your Bite, by Rue.
a mysterious bachelor has recently purchased the manor house overlooking the town. they're in the process of renovating- starting a new life. and rumour has it- they're looking for a partner.
compete against your fellow players for the chance at immortal love- a place by the Vampire's side.
Say hello to a competitive pvp-style rpg, but the arena involved here is love: you’re all competing to win a vampires’ heart. One person plays the vampire, and everyone else will pick up a reality tv-show style archetype, slated to engage in a number of challenges in order to score dates with the vampire and accumulate points. In between each challenge, there will be be downtime scenes that include those coveted dates, as well as other drama between competitors, probably trying to sabotage each-other’s chances or digging up dirt in the pursuit of making you appear to be the most desirable contestant of all.
What I’m really excited about is the optional Vampire Hunter rules. This changes the game, and also raises the stakes, by introducing a (secret) Vampire Hunter character who’s not here to kiss the Vampire, but kill them instead. All of the contestants will know who the Vampire Hunter is, and the Hunter will compete in the challenges just the same as everyone else - but our Vampire player will have to use their dates with people to suss out their true intentions - and hopefully pick a lover who actually wants to join them in a grand afterlife. A perfect way to change your dating sim into a hidden-role social game.
Post-Apo-Calypse, by CardboardHyperfix. @cardboardhyperfix
You play a troupe of three characters, each representing a stat. The three of you are trying to set up a route from one town to the other for delivering mail. POST represents a determined mail carrier. APO is a prepared representative from the town who makes sure you have enough supplies. CALYPSE is the protector who covers the group to keep them safe.
This one is for the solo gamers who like balancing a number of characters in their head. Post-Apo-Calypse has you build a troupe of three characters, with each character responsible for a different specialty - as well as different facets of the game. You need index cards, 12 Fate dice, and a pencil in order to play this, as well as a map that you can move your little group around on, and an inventory of the letters your mail carrier needs to deliver.
The game comes with generative tables that you can use to determine your surroundings, as well as the obstacles that will stand in your way. You’ll use a character (or perhaps the trio, working together) to overcome the obstacles by rolling the dice and looking for positive results - the more you get, the more obstacles you can clear. Your characters also have an exhaustion mechanic; if too many folks get too tired, they’ll have to return to home base before they can continue. However, any progress you make on your map will be saved, so the next time you venture out, you’ll likely get farther - and eventually get to another town.
The Girls of the Genziana Hotel by Hendrik ten Napel @hendrik-ten-napel
She only left behind a bloodstained stocking…
The Girls of the Genziana Hotel is a roleplaying game about chambermaids investigating the disappearance of one of their own: Marga, the boyish girl with the wild curls. It is the nineteenth century and all the girls work at the Genziana, an alpine hotel at the edge of the German territories. The Napoleonic wars have come to an end and Germany is changing—but you don't care about that, you just need to know what happened to her.
The Girls of The Genziana Hotel is a great game for folks familiar with other PbtA games, especially games like Brindlewood Bay or the Between. It’s a horror murder mystery, about a group of girls trying to find out what happened to their friend - and nobody else seems to care about her. The themes here are rather heavy, and are likely to centre feminine horror, including a potential reference to abortion, harassment, and violence.
There’s a couple of optional PbtA mechanics that show up here, the primary one catching my eye being the rolling with advantage/disadvantage mechanic. This involves adding an extra dice to your roll (making it 3d6 instead of 2) and taking the two highest or two lowest numbers, depending on the situation you’re in. You’ll also be slowly uncovering Marga’s fate as you play, and as you do so you’ll simultaneously uncover the kind of girl she was - and perhaps also why you miss her.
I think the biggest potential for the emotional side of role0play here is the Grief moves - different ways of grieving that differentiate your character from everyone else. These moves allow you to interact with a specific part of the game differently from everyone else, but also embody different ways of grieving someone who’ve you lost, and I think thematically it really ties in with the whole story that you’re trying to tell.
shadow/giant by PsychHound. @psychhound
It don’t matter how you got here. Don’t matter what the destination is. At some point, somehow, against the odds … Shadow felt safe with the Giant. And the Giant, though they mighta sworn off it before … cares for the Shadow. There’ll be threats. Always will be. But, maybe, you can get through. Find safety. Together. As long as it takes to get there. And through those long days, cold nights … the tears, the fears, the fighting … someone, somewhere … might just mistake you for a family.
Well. Wouldn’t that be somethin.
Shadow / Giant is a duet roleplaying game about finding care, safety, and family amidst a malicious and unaccepting world. In it, one player will play as the Giant – a gruff and jaded adult who thought their care for the world was long gone – and the other will play the Shadow – a child with magical abilities who now relies on them for protection.
First of all, I want to say that I am in awe of @psychhound ’s layout skill. This game is so beautiful, and it makes me so so jealous but in the best way. This is a duet game with asymmetrical rules, inspired by another duet game called Badger & Coyote.
In Shadow/Giant, one person plays the Giant, who is wrestling with mistakes they may have made in their past, and is doing their best to take care of the Shadow, even if they don’t feel equipped to do so. They build a dice pool out of skills, traits and the Shadow’s assistance, and use the highest result to determine how well or how poorly they do. In a way it reminds me of Forged in the Dark games.
The other person plays the Shadow, who has suffered something that scares them, an event possibly linked to their special powers. The Shadow chooses a single skill number to represent both their strength and their weakness. This skill number shifts up and down whenever you fail, with two conditions that will end the game should you ever reach 1 or 6.
The rules for shadow/giant have a strong narrative voice, which immerses you in the tone of the fiction even as you learn how to play. I’m a huge huge fan of the amount of art built into the design of this game, and even if you don’t have someone to play this with, I think reading the document in and of itself is a worthwhile experience.
Under the Neighbourhood by Quest Friends!
An eccentric girl enters a world of magical monsters and decides to become a witch. Twins discover a mysterious journal in the woods near their great uncle’s house and delve into the world of cryptids the journal describes. Three friends get lost on an island filled with frogs and fight to find their way home.
Under the Neighborhood is a tabletop roleplaying game for 3-6 players using the Powered by the Apocalypse engine, where players live out adventures from their favorite Saturday morning cartoons. All you need to play are some dice, some friends, and your own imagination!
Whether you want to recreate your favorite episodes from The Owl House, Gravity Falls, or Amphibia, or you simply want to go on exciting adventures in a curiously ordinary world of your imagination, Under the Neighborhood is the game for you!
Under the Neighborhood is a funky combination of PbtA design hallmarks and Cypher System mechanics. Like PbtA, you use stats and typically roll 2d6+stat to do a move. You also choose from a set of character playbooks, which establish how your character relates to the worlds around them. However, like the Cypher System, you have a special player resource that can be used like XP, or spent to activate special abilities or improve a roll. You also choose a descriptor, which makes your character especially unique, and grants you special items, skills, and inabilities.
You also build you own setting, but no matter what world you create, your world will have Mundane elements, Magical elements, and elements of the Other. The mundane elements will include what makes this place feel normal, but they also come through when you create your character complication: you’ll have small, slice of life problems that are important to you as a character, but probably don’t matter as much to the rest of the world. You’ll also have to define what is different from regular Earth - maybe the dead come back to life, or there are animal folk who live as our neighbours. And even though this world is Magical, there will still be bits of it that are Other - another place or dimension that connects the setting, but it’s unfamiliar, and provides special challenges. (@oddatbest you might like this one)
Intemperate Shadows, by Sad Goose Cooperative.
Discover the source of the scratching in the garden shed. Escape the disaster at Meitner base. Fight your undead grandmother in the crypt beneath City Hall.
Intemperate Shadows is a GMless no-prep horror-adventure system where four players simulate a monster movie, building from a subtly sinister opening scene to a no-holds vbarred showdown at the game's conclusion. Over the course of a three to four hour game, you'll pass control of the monster from one player to the next as a series of desperate decisions pushes your characters closer and closer to victory--or destruction.
I might have a bit of penchant for PbtA games - although I didn’t necessarily realize that this game was Powered by the Apocalypse until I opened it up. It’s boiled down to a few essential moves, with a broad interpretation of possible outcomes encouraged - whatever makes sense for the fiction. You slowly reveal a monster as you play, in a way that leaves the group’s odds of survival up in the air all the way until the end.
This is also a no-prep game, meaning that you’ll learn it as you play it, with an infographic mapping out each phase of the game in sequential order, as well as instructions for each phase as you get introduced to it. Your characters are fairly simple, because the focus is on what you can build together; I think this might be a great exercise in building onto elements introduced by other people to create something new. It’s also potentially a great way to give the entire table a chance to try out a part of the GM experience. I think it might also be a neat tutorial for roleplaying in general, as every action that a character can do requires that you answer a prompt question before you do the action.
The game itself culminates in a showdown - players will add up victory points accumulated over each phase, to find out whether they won, and if so, how final the monster’s defeat is: did you temporarily stop it, or put it away for good?
Inspirisles by Hatchlings Games.
Experiencing visions of a mythical land throughout childhood, you are guided to a kingdom ruled by the fae. Responsible for a pact made long ago by your ancestors, Arthur & Guinevere Pendragon, you must now earn Belief and the respect of their gods to secure your ticket back home.
INSPIRISLES is a completely original all ages Tabletop RPG promoting storytelling, empathy and Deaf awareness with an emphasis on cooperation.
This game takes place in a fairytale setting that places a heavy focus on elemental magic and opposing energies called Belief and Disbelief. Because of the use of four elements, I think the ideal play group is probably one gm and four players. Your character background is built through memories that you choose during character creation, and you also have to choose a patron and element. This elemental choice is going to be the biggest thing that differentiates you from the other characters. The game also has a mechanic that I’ve seen before in We Are All Mad Here, that being a location in-game that is a designated safe space; where your characters can retreat to for sanctuary.
The game comes with links to an online resource with sign language tutorials, as well as an explanation on how sign language can be incorporated into gameplay. There are different levels of sign that can be used, from Weak (finger-spelling) all the way to a “Bonus” level that includes learning signs for basic vocab attached to the game world. The game also comes with plenty of information about Deaf culture and ways to communicate respectfully and efficiently in sign language. In this way I think it’s a very helpful teaching tool!

Breaking out of my hiatus to deliver some awesome news:
Amazing artist @galaxy-forest-productions (a.k.a.: Mori Seika) has offered me the physical versions of the two first issues of her zine Mahō Monthly (plus Sometimes I Feel Silly, another zine of hers) and some other lovely bonuses, such as stickers and a handwritten letter:
The two first zines also came with two charming collectible cards, each of them featuring a random magical girl:
And I must say, I absolutely love the warm and homely charm these zines have; there's something so special and comforting about recieving something carefully crafted for you, as a proof of your support for the underground arts.
I also adore how a small universe is built within these two zines; it makes your mind wander about how this magic universe where magical girls are mainstream (kinda like MagiLumiere) and how its categories/classes (kinda like G4 MLP) function within society.
I'll be honest, though: I sincerely wasn't expecting them to be pocket-sized. I guess that adds up a lot to its artistic and cutesy charm!
Oh, and Mori also does her best to make her zines accessible, so you can also find their digitalized versions on her itch.io (check out her blog for more info); no one will be left out of the fun!
Please, go support this amazingly talented artist and her projects, if you can! She deserves nothing but heaps of love!
#magical girl#there are also some bonuses withing the issues; i'll check them out and share 'em with you all later!#might even share the zines on my other socials (the ones where the artist is available at)...

This week’s #zine #review is “Pocket Week” by @galaxy-forest-productions! You can find this on itch.io at mori-seika!
In the past I've bought physical book planners, but I kept running into the same problem: my to-do lists always feel too trivial for the book, so I'd never actually write them in the book, and then the year goes by and the book is nearly unused.
That's why I was interested in this planner minizine. It has dotted sections for each day, and you have a choice of covers. I used the one in the picture to plan a week trip, then I copied it so that my family could have the itinerary too.
I recommend buying the cover pack! It’s only a few dollars and the cover choices are very cute!

Shoujo manga recommendations - love triangle

At first glance, these four heartthrobs come off as arrogant individuals, responsible for invading her cafe's safe haven. Soon after though, as they uphold their promise of keeping her workplace a secret, Mitsuki starts to see them in a new light.

But despite having just arrived at his school, she completely eclipsed him in everything by consistently scoring top marks in exams and placing first in athletic events. After a brief confrontation with her that left him shocked, Naoto vowed to outdo her no matter the cost.
Ten years later, they are now students attending the same college. Her parents wanted her to go to school, so she was looking for a job to cover her school expenses and rent (plus living expenses, though she didn't mention it). She goes to be interviewed for a part-time house helper job but is rejected before she can say anything, because the guy offering the job is the eldest for 4 brothers and it's an all-male household. She pours out her story, so he takes pity on her (even though he'd pointed out that she can't really take a part-time job if she doesn't have a guardian) and offers the job as a live-in position. However, he has one condition: she's supposed to disguise herself so his brothers don't take an interest in her. Her disguise: lots of towels around her body, so she looks fat; makeup so she looks old (39); plus her hair is all loose and she's wearing glasses.

Kyoya's second shot
Episode ten: Tamaki makes a discovery!
Tw: self harm (mentioned and implied) starving (mentioned)
The next session was more peaceful, he didn't have to talk to any guests, he could just watch Tamaki, whilst stirring his coffee lazily. Tamaki's way of acting evil was incredibly satisfying to watch; he kept pressing gentle kisses to the prop skull, running his tongue against his perfect teeth, the way he purred his words towards the girls- playing up his natural accent to make the ladies swoon, he drew his words out, lounging about in lazy regality. Kyoya had no idea Tamaki could do that, it was incredible… nearly enough to make him drool if he was honest. He wanted nothing but to sit there under Tamaki and let him woo him like that… but that could never happen. Kyoya looked at the girls, the guests, laughing and giggling and watching Tamaki with wide eyes… and he was consumed by jealousy. How dare they, how dare they get to enjoy so much attention from Tamaki, whilst Kyoya has to sit there, just wishing. They're so horrid, so vapid, they're worse than Haruhi, they don't even deserve his hatred.
Oh. The coffee stirrer had shattered in his hand, he growled under his breath and pushed the cup away from him. He turned to his laptop for comfort, opening the finances, he's not doing anything, just toying with the graphs and such. He takes out his phone as well, opening the council group chat.
Shadow king: Seika, I need you to do something. Now.
Woman#2: Ooh, someone's pissy, what happened?
Shadow king: That is irrelevant, just do something.
Hurt her.
Woman#2: You want me to hurt her? How? Are you sure?
Shadow king: I don't care how. Just do it.
He put his phone back in his bag, hands shaking from the anger. He wanted to leave, he felt angry, he felt he was going to scream. He took his glasses off, rubbing his face and running his hands through his hair, deep breaths, he just has to take deep breaths.
"Senpai?" Haruhi's soft voice cut through his calming breaths, sparking the rage in him again, he looked at her, putting his glasses back on. She looked worried, a soft smile on her face, she had no idea how much she was hated, "are you alright?"
He tenses up, did he have the strength to lie? He felt like punching her in the face here and now, but he knew he couldn't do that. He was tapping his nails on the table, trying not to tell her to fuck off, his lack of ease was clear to her, as he gritted his teeth and forced a smile. "Of course I am, why wouldn't I be? I'm just sorting out the finances right now, did you need anything Haruhi?"
She paused, sensing the danger though being unable to see why, her smile turned to a frown, "I… no, I just wanted to check on you, I'll… go back to my table now." She took a few steps back before turning and heading back to her customers, she should have been focusing on them anyway. Kyoya felt a little worried about how she'd clearly noticed something, wondering if she realised how much he hated her.
He couldn't focus on anything, nothing at all, so instead he took out his notebook, beginning to doodle. It was a human, it had sharper features then a human; a pronounced nose, a tiny neck, very sharp shoulder blades- Haruhi was softer than that, was he drawing Haruhi? He fixed the shoulder, smudging the offending ink with his finger and rounding off the shoulders. He focused on her hair, it was similar to Tamaki's, but uglier, flatter, brown. Her expression was one of disdain, one Kyoya had never seen on her face before, she was disgusted, like he knew she would be when she realised what he'd been doing- if she realised, commoners were never smart. Was the school badge on the wrong side? He always struggled with mirroring, it was hard to remember. Her eyes were bleeding silver from his pencil, he would have grabbed a pen but he had no blue, he didn't want to touch his red, it was the only red pen he had- Haruhi didn't deserve it.
She was disgusting, selfish, she didn't deserve Tamaki, she was just some dumb commoner… commoner, commoner, he said that word a lot, but Yuuichi had said it was regular- just regular people, they were the minority in real life. It was a strange feeling, they all had so much power yet there were so much more commoners in the world, it was strange, it was… odd. His breaths shuddered as he wrote words, the same word, over and over and over and over again around his sketch.
Commoner.
She's a commoner, and he hates her.
The session ended after a while, and the tables were pushed together, guess Tamaki had ordered a meeting. The others had gone to get dressed, so Kyoya hesitantly followed. When he got to his corset, he really didn't want to leave it, besides, the others hardly ever do any inventory so it's not like they'd notice it missing. He toyed with the tightness for a little, before slipping his shirt and blazer over it, something sparking in his mind as he put his tie on. An idea that led him to pull said tie as tight as it could possibly go… then loosen it a little- a tie isn't as safe as a corset apparently.
He took his place at the table, opening his laptop and closing his book, "so, what's this meeting about then Tamaki?"
Tamaki paused, looking unsure for a moment, there was something about how he'd looked at Kyoya that made him suddenly very uneasy, "well, just about everything and anything, just thought I'd switch it up, cause I uh- I wanna do something on Friday!" He smiles, clearly having just made that up, "care to give us a finance report?"
Now that was something Kyoya could do, he nodded, opening the finances graphs and charts and tables. He took out a remote for the projector that sat in the ceiling, waiting until Tamaki got the whiteboard out for him, then he projected his screen onto it. "So," he actually smiled, he loved talking about numbers, "we're actually doing rather well, profits are up and I have to say welldone, all of you are contributing to the profits equally, although of course, Tamaki is still number one." He pulled up a chart depicting each hosts individual profits, complete with images; obviously he'd manipulated the graphs, the twins were actually doing better than Tamaki by 2% but the graphs only purpose was was to make Tamaki feel good, and to hide the fact that Kyoya himself literally avoided hosting at all costs. The hosts seemed to enjoy the graph, though Haruhi had frowned, to which Kyoya nodded, "unfortunately, Haruhi has been slacking recently, is there a reason for this?"
All eyes were on Haruhi, and Kyoya felt incredibly vindicated by this. She paused, blinking in surprise, "well I don't think I was falling behind, I could've sworn I did more hosting then you have senpai…" Her tone was a pondering one, but Kyoya felt the rage spark up again.
"Well there's no need to be so rude about it," Kyoya glanced around, hand on his heart, maybe it was time to take a risk, "you've been awfully spiteful towards me lately and I'm not sure why, is something the matter Haruhi?" He kept his tone soft and almost hurt sounding, hand pressed against his head as the other loosely held the remote for the projector, he did his best to paint Haruhi as the aggressor- he could tell Tamaki was still too hurt from her distance on Sunday to stand up for her, but he looked torn, not sure who to believe. The twins glanced at each other, then between Kyoya and Haruhi, they'd been privy to the discussion that morning and were likely still hesitant. Honey and Mori were the wild card, Mori was unreadable as always but Honey looked sympathetic to Kyoya, and Kyoya felt a little spark of victory.
Haruhi stared across the table at him, trying to read him and failing, Kyoya was not going to let his guard down. So she sighed, "I haven't been rude to you senpai, you've just been jumpy, I even asked if you were alright this afternoon, remember?" Oh god, she was being honest, he wasn't sure how to combat honesty, unless he could twist her words into what he wanted…
"Haruhi, I'll be perfectly honest here, you should probably stop neglecting your duties. As I said this afternoon, I was too busy to converse with you, and you had clients anyway so you should have been at your table instead of bothering me with questions about whether there's anything wrong with me." He paused, taking a breath and letting it sink in, he was taking a huge, huge risk here, and he hoped it would pay off. The twins seemed to at least somewhat agree that Haruhi should have been doing his job, Honey seemed concerned about what was said, Mori was still unreadable, and Tamaki… Tamaki looked almost angry, but at what, Kyoya wasn't sure.
Haruhi was startled, "I… I didn't mean it like-"
Kyoya shut her up with a wave of her hand, "that doesn't matter Haruhi, what matters is that you left your station, and should pay more attention to your duties, are we in agreement?" She nodded and he smiled, changing the slide, "but yes, profits are up, even if the recent theme cost quite a lot, namely in the diamonds for Tamaki's prop skull," he glances down at the king, seeing Tamaki's smile made him feel fuzzy inside, he's so glad these idiots don't think about things for more than three seconds.
But then Tamaki spoke, "oh, about today's theme, I made sure to put all the costumes on the hangers when you were all setting up the table… Do you remember where you put your corset, Kyoya?" Oh god, oh fuck, Kyoya instantly glanced away, hand going to his abdomen, feeling the bones of the corset through his shirt and blazer.
"Well I-..."
Hikaru snickered, holding in a laugh, "did you keep it on? Couldn't you get it off?"
Karou joined in at that, chuckling softly, "like when you took too long this morning? Were you actually just struggling?"
Kyoya felt his face go red, and was glad of the makeup, he frowned and glared over their shoulders, "that's… that's not why I-"
"So you did keep it on?" Honey spoke up, tilting his head, smiling, "but for a different reason?"
Tamaki sighed, "aww Kyoya, I offered you help you if you got stuck, there's no shame in it." The tone he used, it was one you'd use for a jumpy, frightened animal- he was offended but he couldn't say it didn't sooth him slightly. He also felt the idea of Tamaki helping him with the corset was certainly someone that made him feel fuzzy but he was too tired to protest too much. He just sighed.
The meeting was cut short a little, Kyoya wasn't entirely sure what happened, he remembers the twins did a talk about the costumes they have for the themes lined up, and Honey gave feedback on the cakes he had ordered… but Kyoya was a little fuzzy through the whole thing, maybe the corset and the combo was a little too much. He could glance back down at his notebook to clarify that he was taking notes, though it was a larger font.
16:26 - Clothes look good, cake was dry...
It trailed off, and Kyoya's face feels hot, he's dizzy, and feels like he's so close to passing out. He closed his eyes and felt cold fingers against his skin, opening his eyes he saw Tamaki carefully untying the ribbons of his corset for him, his eyes were full of concern, "Kyoya… this is way too tight… how could you breathe?"
"Hm… couldn't…" Kyoya's words were slurring, god, he really was about to pass out.
Tamaki's eyes flickered up to Kyoya's face, noticing how clouded his eyes are and sighing, "oh no…" he reaches up, loosening Kyoya's tie for hum, their faces were so close, and Kyoya wondered if Tamaki could feel the heat from his face, "you tied your tie too tight too… please don't tell me it was on purpose…" he looked at Kyoya with those big doe eyes that Kyoya can't resist, and something in Kyoya just breaks. He's crying now.
Shocked, Tamaki pulls him into an embrace, just letting him cry, "oh… oh Kyoya… why? Why would you do that to yourself? Does this mean you lied about the reason for your starving too? Is this why you've been so antsy?" Kyoya didn't answer, he was sobbing now, the floodgates were open, there was no moving until he was done. Tamaki let him for now, a lot of things probably making sense in Tamaki's mind, he shifted so Kyoya and he were both more comfortable. The curtains parted slightly and Kyoya couldn't see who it was but Tamaki snapped, "hey! Don't look! Let him have privacy, just go home." Kyoya appreciated Tamaki caring so much for his privacy but felt a little bad at intruding on his.
Tamaki cradled him softly, rocking back and forth as Kyoya sobbed in his arms, Kyoya felt awful, absolutely horrible, he had been hurting himself, he had and that was awful, he had upset Tamaki, he upset his darling best friend and crush by letting him find out about the self harm. He was a horrible friend, he should have hidden it better, god he was terrible…
"Kyoya," Tamaki hummed Kyoya's name, pushing back slightly to look Kyoya in the eyes, wiping his teeths gently, "you know you can talk to me about anything right? You're my best friend and I love you, you're very important to me and I don't want to see you so hurt. Take care of yourself, I know it's probably hard, but just try your best, ok?" He smiled softly at him, his hand on Kyoya's cheek, Kyoya's own hand came up and touched Tamaki's, his eyes were wide and he couldn't help but smile. Tamaki's so wonderful, so brilliant, Kyoya loved him with every inch of his being, Kyoya simply adored him. "Promise me I won't ever see you so hurt again?"
Kyoya just nodded, he would hide it better next time, he wouldn't let Tamaki see even the idea of Kyoya being hurt, he hated himself for how he'd upset Tamaki- he wouldn't let it happen again. Tamaki had smiled and stood up, helping Kyoya up before fully undoing the corset, letting it fall to the floor. Kyoya felt a shiver run down his spine and Tamaki gasped, "oh you must be so cold! Here, let me help you with your shirt!" He bent down and buttoned Kyoya's shirt back up, humming a sweet little melody, one that made Kyoya's heart soar like a bird. He stood and put a gentle hand on Kyoya's shoulder, "I'll see you tomorrow mon ami, take care of yourself."
Kyoya was silent on the way home, his bodyguards couldn't get a word out of him, his fingers drummed on the cover of his black book, he wanted to write, but he didn't want to have to get his pen out of his bag. They got home eventually and Kyoya stormed up the driveway and into the mansion, he practically ran upstairs, slamming the door to his room the moment he entered it. He threw his bag at the table, before following it and kneeling down, placing his book down and opening it.
17:56 - Tamaki realised why I had the corset so tight, he helped me take it off, his hands are so soft. He knows about the self harm, I promised I wouldn't let him see it again but it's too late: he knows, he knows, he knows, he knows…

QUIRK
Seika’s Quirk is called Cyan Spiral. It’s an Emitter-type Quirk that lets her create fast-moving, flexible spirals of blue-tinted condensed air starting from her shoulders going outward. However, as her Quirk affects the pressure, movement, and quality of the air around her, she has trouble breathing while using it.
PERSONALITY
Seika is a very sweet and academically smart girl. While social situations tend to fluster and confuse her, she's able to discern emotions of the people closest to her very well, often being one of the first to notice if one of the Katsucrew is feeling off. She's also a loving girl, going out of her way to cheer people up and also being one to appreciate the little things in life.
However, Seika is also fiercely protective of the Katsucrew and her little sister, wanting nothing bad to happen to them. She learned martial arts in middle school and how to incorperate her knowledge of plant life into medicinal studies for the sole purpose of protecting and helping others. This is also indicative of how determined she is, as Seika does all she can to further her Rescue Hero studies, so she can be one of the best.
RELATIONSHIPS
Partner(s)
Kate Mito is Seika’s girlfriend. The two are childhood friends and have been together since the second-to-last year of elementary school. They love the other very much and spend as much time together as possible, often spending hours testing out support gear and baking together.
Shioawa Henshuu is Seika’s queerplatonic partner. They met in the first year of junior high and became very close friends. The two now attend the same Hero school, training for hours afterschool to help each other better their techniques and studying together.
Family
Daikikou Itsuyo (大輝煌厳与) is Seika’s mother. She’s a rather strict woman, often criticizing Seika’s grades, relationships, and aspirations. However, she does love her daughter, just not in a traditional way that’s shown outright.
Daikikou Bennosuke (大輝煌勉之助) is Seika’s father. He’s a hardworking man that isn’t often home as a result of being employed at a top Hero Agency in Hokkaido. However, he loves his children greatly, calling Seika and her siblings at least twice a week and setting aside time to visit once a month.
Daikikou Tomo (大輝煌登喪) is Seika’s older brother. She doesn’t know much of him, since he’s worked overseas as a Hero in America since she was young, but she admires him greatly from the stories her parents tell of him.
Daikikou Iru (大輝煌威瑠) is Seika’s little sister. She’s a demanding yet loveable kid that loves to bake and garden with Seika, have playdates with Kanji, and read the fantasy, botanical, and baking books Seika keeps stacked around her room.
Friends
Bakugou Katsuki is one of Seika’s best friends. They knew each other since they were kids, having lived in the same area, but didn’t become friends until the last year of elementary school. They share an intense love for Heroics, and both enjoy hiking, making food together, and training on the weekends.
Agei Ashikari, or Kariage, is one of Seika’s best friends. It took some time for the two to really become close on account of their wildly different personalities, but once they clicked, nothing could keep them from being friends. The two share a love for the least appreciated parts of Heroics, often pairing up together in school along with Henshuu.
Dehisa Yasushi is one of Seika’s friends. While they don’t have all that much in common, they enjoy each other’s unique brand of humor. They have tutoring sessions with the rest of the Katsucrew at least once every week, and Seika often visits the Yasushi family konbini since they, in her words, make the best melonpan.
Obuki Hifue is one of Seika’s friends. As the two of them are the least troublesome of the Katsucrew, they’ve become adept at getting their friends out of trouble and having fun along the way. They bond over their shared social introversion and their love for reading.
Minor Characters
Shou Kazahiko (翔風彦), also known as Buster Hero: Air Jet, the 68th Ranked Pro Hero, is Seika’s Japanese History teacher at Moushou Academy. He’s a rather casual teacher who helps his students as much as he can, making him Seika’s favorite teacher.
Nekoshima Myouou (猫島妙嫗) is Seika’s boss at the cat café she works at. As an older woman, she cares for Seika and the Katsucrew like they’re family, and often offers advice to the struggling teens when they need it. Seika also appreciates the motherly vibe she emanates, as her relationship with her own mother is rather strained.
Ukichirou Takanohashi (鷹嘴烏吉朗) is Seika’s cousin. He attended Aldera Junior High in the same class with Seika. The two share curly hair and rounded eyes but not much else, and neither really wish to have a closer familal relationship to the disappointment of Seika’s mother.
Shinsou Hitoshi is one of Seika’s acquaintances. While they don’t know much about each other, they met when Shinsou wandered into the Black Cat Café on Seika’s shift. The two bonded rather quickly, often teasing each other over their opposing pet preferences and having hours-long conversations over coffee and pastries about Heroics.

~ Ouran High School Host Club 🌸
❤ Favorite male: Shadow King and the host club’s mother, our dear Kyoya <3 Not only is he cute as fuck he’s hilarious. He reminds me of Inui and Yanagi from the prince of tennis where he has dirt on everyone. ❤ Favorite female: Haruhi ofc! She’s one of the few female characters I truly love and want to protect. I love her so much <3 ✖ Least favorite character: Ooohh what was her name, that red-headed girl that tried to act like Haruhi attacked her... I looked it up, her name is Seika Ayanokoji. Hate that bitch :not-amused: ❤ Most attractive: In terms of physical attractiveness, definitely Tamaki. In terms of personality, I’d say it’s between Tamaki and Kyoya. Mori is an honorable mention, as well. ❤ Three more characters that I like: Tamaki, Mori, Yuzuru
~ Kuroko no Basket 🏀
I haven’t finished this series so I’mma just go off the characters I know currently.
❤ Favorite male: This is a cruel question, how can I possibly choose ugh Probably Kise?? Most of the time when I imagine my OC he’s by her side as her best friend, so. Karamatsu is a VERY close second. ❤ Favorite female: Riko, ofc <3 Another female character that doesn’t bother me in the slightest, she’s the type of girl I’d love to have as a best friend. Super chill. ✖ Least favorite character: Hmm I’m on the fence about Akashi because I haven’t seen him enough to make a decision but he seems manipulative. Also, Hanamiya because I hate his face, and if I remember correctly he’s a total twat. ❤ Most attractive: For me personally, I have to go with Kasamatsu. Not only is he cute af, but his personality is also amazing and he’s so cute how he can’t talk to girls hehe ❤ Three more characters that I like: Kuroko, Kagami, Kiyoshi/Mitobe

Pick a dozen Takarazuka underclassmen
In the interest of blogging more, and being excited about the future, here are 12 underclassmen that I, as of 5:58pm EST on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, am into, in no particular order (well, I guess, in like, troupe-separated ascending seniority order).
🌙Sou Yuuki: This started during Singin’ in the Rain ‘18 as “ooh, the New Yorker is in this, find the New Yorker!” When I found her (which was easy), she was being real cute. A+ smile, great dynamic expressions, brimming with hopeful high school theater kid energy.
🌙Ruou Ria: Still hanging on from my preliminary 103rd picks (along with a few of these, huh), we all sometimes gravitate to that one whose face we just like. 2 years later, I still like her face, I’ve seen her attempt to wink in the theater, and I’ve noticed she has a knack for standing right behind whoever is being filmed. It makes for a fun game of me pointing and yelling RUOU RIA (fun for me only).
🌙Amashi Juri: I was into her as an otokoyaku, and the switch has only made her more adorable and more visible. She’s practically a secondary lead in Sainte d’Amour, if you’re interested.
❄️Hanataba Yume: Cute. CUTE! Cute!! Sucks we have no record of how cute she was in On the 20th Century. Looks like Mori Keaki from certain angles. I swear. Check twitter.
❄️Seika Rian: Originally caught my attention because she used to walk in in the morning carrying her bag in the girliest imaginable way. Can sing! Is tall! Shockingly tall for Yukigumi and also for her appearance. Cute fashion.
⭐Ouka Rurina: Obligatory current 105th pick. Can dance af.
⭐Ruri Hanaka: Yes that’s her back there, killing it. Extremely tiny. Maitii-level arm muscles. Might put tacks in your shoes. Can dance af x10. Can’t hit a note, so damn fierce I could not care less.
⭐Amato Kanon: Already has more smolder than any ken-4 has any right to be able to muster. You know, when you just catch someone’s eye, and you’re like “hmm.. HMMM.” Also already kind of a chameleon, based on shinko clips. Shou vibes, but only in like, hotness. She’s gonna grow up to be more versatile. Look out, I warned you.
⭐Mizuno Yuri: Melted my whole inside when I saw Beside the Foggy Elbe. I will stop whatever I’m doing and watch her scenes if it’s on. She has a weird surprised way of talking. She’s noodley all over. She’s got dimples where dimples don’t even go. I’m obsessed.
🌌Yumeshiro Aya: Boring choice, she’ll be top a minute from now so I’m sure the higher powers and everyone agree, but she deserves it. Was my favorite 103rd at the time of debut because she looks like Tonami and her voice was husky in bunkasai. Since debuting, she’s done nothing but put her money where her mouth is, or her everything where her money is, or whatever.
🌌Takato Chiaki: Also kind of a boring choice as she’s probably about to get every shinko lead available for the rest of her shinko eligibility, but boy is she charming. Talented for sure, but still growing in that area, and mostly just overflowing with a completely accidental charm that I find irresistible. Doesn’t get how hot she is, like a great dane puppy that’s grown up and still thinks it fits in your lap. Can’t speak above a whisper offstage. Please watch Hustle Mates.
🌌Yuuki Shion: I think I mentioned this in my Ocean’s review, but she wants to be Sora, and is succeeding a little, and it’s hella working on me. Hilarious, adorable, incredibly dynamic dancer. I can’t believe how high she can jump. She’s really just... good with her legs in general. Ballerina but like, big and strong. Huge problem. Biggest problem on the list.
Steal the graphic and do your own if you want!
