Everyone's saying that split clan jobs are great but I can't help but say a big old yikes to that. It can be a generally good idea if you erase all the problems that come with the idea. To do that, you have to take a deeper look at Tallstar's Revenge to see how awful an idea it could be. Cats were very much at odds with each other. Tallstar constantly got bullied by Shrewclaw from literally birth as 'Wormkit' and his dad legitimately couldn't handle the idea of him being a moorrunner and not a tunneler. Not only that but all the tunnelers seemed very upset that two tunneler mates talked it over with Heatherstar and made their kid a moorrunner.
So in theory, yes it can be a good idea and it'll be your stories to do as you please, but realistically, it would divide the clan very much.

Moorkit | Moorpaw | Moorrunner
A calm, level headed guy, Moorrunner is Pearlheart’s mate and father to Snowpaw and Icepaw. He doesn’t talk much, happily content to let his mate do the talking for the both of them, and can come across as kind of hard to read to those who don't know him well. He’s always been a very large tom, intimidating to the other Clans due to his size and strength. But he also does cute things like pick flowers for his mate and giving his boys the best pick of the prey pile, so.
Currently, he's mentoring Wolfpaw. He's been mentoring Wolfpaw for what feels like years. She's turning his fur gray.

What's the reason why Tallstar refused the lives from his parents? (I haven't read Tallstar's Revenge so I don't know the characters that well)
Alright so (and heavy spoilers ahead)
Windclan was split between tunnellers and moorrunners. Sandgorse, Tallstar's father, was a tunneller and wanted his son to be one too. But at his apprentice ceremony, Tallpaw became a moorrunner. Sandgorse didn't even call out his name because he was so pissy about it.
Further on, Tallpaw almost dies in the tunnels and is reasonably angry and frightened. Heatherstar deams the tunnel that it happened in--a tunnel Sandgorse was working really hard on-- too dangerous and to have all work on it abandoned. Sandgorse blamed Tallpaw, thinking he had told Heatherstar, and told him never to talk to him again.
I'm not very good at explaining, but Sandgorse pretty much only ever treated Tallpaw like a son when he thought that he would be a tunneller like him. He had this idea in his mind that they would be tunnellers together, and when that idea was destroyed, he became incredibly bitter.
Palebird was more reasonable.. at first. Tallstar's littermate, Finchkit, died at birth, and she had postpartum depression, which made her grieving worse. She paid attention to Tallkit and would clean and cuddle him, but it was clear her mind was always elsewhere, and she would sometimes slip into a dissociative state.
But she got BETTER. She got a new litter, new kits. But she continued to neglect Tallstar. When he announced that he was leaving the Clan, she dismissed him and focused right back to her new kits. When he eventually returned, she snaps at him, thinking that he let her kits run around the moor (he was bringing them back). Tallstar even wonders if she even noticed that he was gone.
I don't think she called out his name, either.
Tallstar even asks himself if Finchkit should've been the one to live, because maybe she would make Palebird happy. And another time he wonders why her new mate and kits could make her happy, but Tallstar and Sandgorse couldn't.
---------------
Other than Shrewpaw (his bully), Tallstar's life was miserable because of his parents, especially because of Sandgorse.
So Tallstar refuses their lives. His life was dreary enough because of them, why on earth would he want more from them? He would rather be a leader with no lives at all.
--------------
I also have a evil Tallstar working with Brokenstar AU (yes very original), because. idk I just really like the thought of the horror and regret his bully, Shrewclaw, and his parents would feel knowing they lead him into that road. It's my favourite trope.

In a Hairball
by MoorRunner
His gaze wandered back to his fluffy pet. At this point he was half listening to Wilbur since he kept repeating the same stuff.
‘You had 2 hours to help him, why didn’t you?’ The only words Tommy was paying attention to rang in his head.
If he was honest, he didn’t know why. He would tell Wilbur, but he wouldn’t shut up.
Wilbur was still gently petting Biscuit, rubbing up and down their blonde nose bridge and forehead. Biscuit looked so tired, their eyes were barely open.
Anxiety rippled through Tommy as he watched Biscuit close their eyes.
Wilbur must’ve noticed since he glanced down at Tommy’s pet. He slowly moved his hand off of Biscuit’s head and carefully placed it on their back.
Tommy bit his lip as he fittled with one of his belt loops with one his thumbs.
Dear God, did I really fuck up this bad?
Wilbur inhaled and exhaled with a small nod and looked back at Tommy.

strike, gray, fire
Gray: most under-developed...
strike: Clan?
sdjffdsjh I’m gonna say WindClan and RiverClan are under-developed, just because all the focus is on ThunderClan, but now extending to ShadowClan and SkyClan. arguably, however, all the Clans are under-developed, just bc there’s... no effort into lore whatsoever
like, in the earlier super editions (Bluestar’s, Crookedstar’s, Tallstar’s, and, unfortunately, Yellowfang’s), the Clans were unique!! like, old ThunderClan had a pretty strict system in place amongst their warriors! Stormtail and the other senior warriors separated themselves from the younger ones, there wasn’t really much focus on family (coughStormtailcough), and just... felt more, standoffish, I guess, for a lack of a better word
now, compared to RiverClan, they were much more connected and laid back! everyone was seen hanging out with everyone, there wasn’t an emphasis on senior warriors vs younger warriors, and overall, the Clan behaved as a big family!
old WindClan was fun bc they had the tunnelers and moorrunners! the separation between the two groups was done well, with it bleeding into every aspect of Clan life, yet having the Clan be open to outsiders (those travelling loners, for instance) was really neat to read!
and then old ShadowClan was just... chaotic dfsgjhfsdhj - there wasn’t any structure or separation between Clanmates, but they were mean to each other constantly! there was little care when it came to the feelings of others, Yellowfang was mocked for becoming a medicine cat, Raggedstar and Scorchwind were mocked by everyone for their missing father, no one cared about how Lizardstripe treated her kits (Brokenstar included), but it was still something - it separated ShadowClan from the other Clans
now, with the focus on lore gone, it’s just... the same. there’s nothing separating the Clans distinctively outside of “we climb trees! we swim! we run fast!” - like, congrats? it’s been shown other Clans can do that too - Firestar placed focus on tree climbing after the thing with SkyClan, Cinderheart and Jayfeather learned to swim, and other cats outside of WindClan can run fast
but, overall, RiverClan and WindClan for under-developed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fire: your favorite...
strike: Clan?
now, for my favorite Clan is tied between SkyClan and RiverClan tbh!! buuuuut if I had to go with one, I’d say RiverClan just bc I love swimming myself sfsdfhj

Pearlkit | Pearlpaw | Pearlheart
Pearlheart is a bit of an outlier in Root Clan, having originally been born in Shore Clan. Her father Wrenface passed away in battle before she even left the nursery, and her mother was a distant figure in her life, but despite everything, she still grew up to be a good warrior, a good hunter and mentor to her former apprentices, Luckyleaf and Lavendershine.
She and her Root Clan mate Moorrunner first met at a gathering after having to break apart their overzealous apprentices’ sparring match. (It was, admittedly, mostly Wolfpaw doing the sparring.) The two felt an instant connection there, and over time, ended up sitting together at the every gathering, and exchanging friendly banter at the border. This, of course, eventually led to even more private meetups.
When Pearlheart eventually learned she was pregnant with Moorrunner's kits, she went to her leader and deputies, formally explained her plight and asked to secede from her birth clan. Dapplestar, short on warriors towards the end of the war and hesitant to turn away a queen in need, allowed it and Pearlheart gave birth soon after to Icekit, Snowkit and Flakekit.
Although her new clanmates were distant and even a little hostile at first, Pearlheart threw herself into learning her new duties with gusto, digging out rocks and weaving roots until her claws ached, quickly gaining a reputation for her happy go lucky nature and work ethic and fierce determination to be accepted.
She almost cried when Dapplestar gave her her first Root Clan apprentice in Pondpaw, as it finally felt as though she was now one of them.
