At Montaza Park right now, a piece of land and a palm tree forest attached to a palace, which once belonged to the last king of Egypt, and is now a semi-public park (a small fee is charged, presumably to keep all four or five million people in Alexandria from trying to crowd in every weekend).
It's lovely but I'm honestly not feeling it today. Although I'm a people-person by neurodivergent standards, all of this socializing is really starting to catch up with me, and as usual there's a big group of people with me. So I've retreated in childhood behaviours and wandered off to the side somewhere to look at the landscape and brood.

Alexandria is generally considered safe for tourists, but it's important to exercise normal precautions. Avoid flaunting wealth, be aware of your surroundings, and use reputable tour companies and guides.
The political situation in Egypt has stabilized in recent years, but there is still a heightened security presence and some terrorist activity, so vigilance is required.
Petty crime like pickpocketing does occur, so keep valuables secure and be cautious in crowded tourist areas.

Alexandria is about 2.5 hours by train or car from Cairo. There are also flights available.
The city has a good public transportation system with buses and taxis. Ride-hailing apps like Uber are also available.

Montaza Palace (قصر المنتزة‎‎) is a palace and extensive gardens in Alexandria, built on a low plateau overlooking the Mediterranean. These grounds first had the Salamlek Palace, built in 1892 by Khedive Abbas II, the last Muhammad Ali Dynasty ruler to hold the Khedive title over the Khedivate of Egypt and Sudan. It was used as a hunting lodge and residence for his companion. The larger Al-Haramlik Palace and royal gardens were added by King Fuad I in 1932 as a summer palace in a mix of Turkish and Florentine style. President Anwar El-Sadat renovated the original Salamlek Palace as an official presidential residence. It was most recently used by former president Hosni Mubarak. The Al-Montaza Park, former royal gardens, are open to the public. The Al-Haramlik—Montaza Palace is a public museum of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty family history and objects d'art. The Salamlek Palace is now an adjacent hotel.

Runaway Love:| Kalel
Kalina laid in her bed, sweat clad in linen, her infant son within arm reach, her daughter on the other side of her. She feels the pain of missing her husband but he didn’t want her. He couldn’t look at her, he made her feel unloved and trying to take care of her infant son, it didn’t help. She sat up thinking about what her daughter needed though. She needed both of her parents, regardless of how Kalina felt about her husband. Should she write to him? No, he would demand that he got his children back and her son needed her. Mikhail was fed by her, he needed his mother to survive, she refused to feed him formula. Yes he was eating mushed fruit and vegetables, but he was still being breast fed. Gabriela loved being in Egypt, the Montaza Palace was beautiful and the gardens gave her a place to run around. They spent most of their time recluse to the palace as the guest of the Egyptian Royal family, the secret of Princess Rashida and Prince Hasani. Her being their guest was a secret to which the staff with knowledge of her location were required to sign Non Disclosure Agreements. She knew if her husband learned of her location that it would be a fight and she just didn’t have it in her. She was scared to send her daughter back to Brazil to see her father because she knew that she would never get her back to Egypt while she was there. But maybe it was time to go back home. The time spent in Alexandria was peaceful and forced her to really bond in a way most royalty never do with their children.
“Your Highness, I was telling you that you know you could join the royal family instead of staying out here with a fraction of the people who could be task to your service.” Rashida said repeating herself to woman who wasn’t paying attention the first time she spoke. Kalina smiled weakly. She stood up, looking towards the gardens. “My husband, to all of his faults, is talented in having a network of people who are loyal to him, spying all over the world. Like the KGB, but prettier. His influence over getting authentic information...it would not be smart for me to stay there. I have to be cunning to allude him, but even then, I can be allusive to his spies, but he knows me well enough to be able to find me when they fail to get my exact location.” Kalina mused to the woman, she refused to go there, it would be like setting a huge light off saying ‘Here I Am’. Rashida sighed. The woman scooped up the other princess. “Kalya, you know that you are welcome to stay in Egypt, but you are an empress, second to head of state to a man, you deserve more luxury than having two maids and five guards.” Rashida was trying to bargain for something normally Kalina would jump at. But now she couldn’t, not when that allowed for more errors. Too many for her liking. She cradled her son’s head to her chest, kissing him. “I cannot. I appreciate you for everything, but my husband is far too clever and so I must hold steadfast.” She said dismissively. The Egyptian sighed, setting the child down. She would be back like she always was, every week. The Egyptian princess was going to work hard to get her guest with the royal family.
Kali sighed heavily. She turned to look at the door way. The way she knew that in her heart of hearts, the gig was up. “I knew that you were here...” She trailed, setting her son on the play mat. “I knew as I told Princess Rashida that you were clever...” she didn’t bother to look around. She stood up straight, running her hands through her hair. Her hair was at her waist now longer than her typical bra strap length. She looked lean, donning a white linen dress, she wrapped her shawl around her tighter. “So, what gave my location away? I’m assuming that you are here to take my children away.” She held her head high, trying to muster a fraction of the strength that she once possessed. Fear ran through her body and that made her more dangerous.

Alexandria Corniche Waterfront Promenade, Egypt The Corniche is a waterfront promenade in Alexandria Egypt, running along the Eastern Harbor. It is one of the major corridors for traffic in Alexandria. The western end starts by the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in place of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It runs for over ten miles and ends by the Montaza Palace. Downtown Alexandria's wide waterfront road is as much a symbol of the city as any of its monuments. It's here that you get a real feel for the era of cosmopolitan elegance and decadence that marked this city in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Much of the architecture from this era still stands along the Corniche, though these days, much of it is heavily dilapidated and falling into disrepair. Despite appearances however, ocean front property is as valuable here as it is elsewhere in the world and it is along this promenade that Egypt has lavished large amounts of capital. #egyptpassion #egypt #iregipto #alexandria #night #rain #winter (at Alexandria, Egypt)

Semoga bukan cuma di dunia ya, tapi sampe surga @asseyzha ❤ #1 (at Montaza Palace)
