this has been the best winter for my plants ever. knock on wood, but i haven't lost a single one ;-; and i've been seeing new growth like crazy!! it feels like every day i wake up and see a new leaf emerging somewhere. that's WILD for a midwest winter lmao but i think i'm at the point where i know my plants well enough that even when i'm not being hyper-vigilant they can still thrive, which is soooo nice because i've been focusing more on other hobbies lately. i love that my plants have become more of an ambient feeling of joy rather than a chore (a chore that i enjoy of course, but it can sometimes be overwhelming). i feel like a sim with a +3 beautiful environment moodlet 🥺

Shout out to the owner of one of my former places of work who was an utter scum bag, ignoring how he funelled most of his profits into building a four story mansion as a man whose legs didn't work and then proceeded to get my buddy a permanent injury borrowing him from his job to move 100lb hunks of stone

He would sometimes bring people out on his boat, which is to say he'd bring out all the girls and enough boys in each trip to cover his activities while he stared like a hungry seal at people aged 16-19 as a 60 year old man, you know at the company where he and the general manager were caught agreeing to only hire young women for the job as eyecandy.

The one year I was involved I ended up standing between him and the girls the whole time acting like I didn't realize what was happening, because fuck you old man

I've got a million more stories but let me make something clear to the 4 people who will see this; The rich aren't inherently evil, but they sure tend to be.

as a customer, caribbean customer service is among the worst on earth, but as a customer service worker i think it must be so liberating. you will walk into an office and the receptionist will look at you like this 😐 or this 🙄 or even this 😒 and will talk to you like you're interrupting them from doing their job even though their job is to talk to you. i work in canada and i'd give anything to not have to mask the emptiness behind my eyes every day. allow me to let the customers know i dont actually give a shit!! i dont want to be here i just need this job!!
