handsome bros and reader doing tubbathon together? just being super chaotic, im thinking that one clip where scott and aimsey r singing ceilings by lizzie mcalpine, and then tubbo asked if she had schizophrenia.
in oneshot format preferably
also could i be 💿anon, if it's free?
oooo okay, I haven't even written yet but so sorry if it's short/weird in general, I had no idea what to do here for some reason lmao ; and yes ofc! welcome 💿 anon :) ; also wrote this while sick with no functioning braincells so ignore the weirdness lmao
HANDSOME BROS ; tubbathon
summary ; chaotic tubbathon moments with the handsome bros
warnings ; language, cringe, talk of fetishes, troom troom & 5 minute crafts (everything said about these channels is real btw)
word count ; 916
masterlist
"Did you listen to that song I sent you?" You ask, turning to Tommy next to you.
He shyly and slowly shakes his head no.
"Bro, why not?"
"I forgot! I forgot, I swear" He half-laughs, raising his hands in defense before the play fighting and shouting began. "I meant to listen to it when you sent it to me but I was eating with Molly and fell asleep watching a movie"
Ranboo raises an eyebrow, "What song?"
"Yeah! by Ludacris"
"Oh my God I love that song!" Ranboo and Freddie exclaim in unison, sending the three of you into fits of laughter.
Tubbo is silent as he sits in front of his setup, just watching you talk for a moment. He then speaks up, confused.
"Tommy, have you never listened to Yeah?"
"No, I don't think so" The blonde answers with a shrug. "Y/n was talking about how it's an American classic or something"
"You sound so stupid right now" Ranboo chuckles.
Within the span of the next minute or so, it turned into you, Ranboo, and Freddie singing a portion of the song since Tubbo couldn't play it on stream, the two T's just watching and listening. This was quite usual, just, odd, but it made sense because the three of you were all running off of adrenaline and coffee at this point. The sun had set long ago, it was about midnight, and you were all having a sleepover anyways, so why not make the stream fun before you all passed out?
"Up in the club with my homies, trying to get a lil V-I, keep it down on the lowkey" Ranboo, starts, pulling you into the song halfway through the line as the others begin to smile and laugh.
"You should know how it feels" You look to the Webcam with the weird TikTok fuckboy look, a sideways L made from your pointer finger and thumb under your chin.
Freddie joins in by the next line, on your left, slinging an arm around your shoulders, which starts a slight school-play-remix of the song.
"I seen shorty, she was checking on me, from the game she was spitting in my ear, you would think that she know me" Freddie runs a hand through his hair to fix it up a bit.
The three of you turn it into a full-blown trio song, singing together as Tubbo and Tommy laugh and smile, with the chat spamming the lyrics along.
"I decided to chill, conversation got heavy, she had me feeling like she was ready to blow!" Ranboo giggles, trying to maintain their composure. "She's saying come get me, so I got up and followed her to the floor. She said baby let's go!"
The loudest point of the song now came, with Tubbo moving towards the side so you could be in full focus of the camera while Tommy records you three to the side, wanting to show Molly.
"When I told her, I said yeah! Shorty got down low, said 'come and get me!"
The three of you begin dancing in your seats as you sing along, hiding laughter, which was evident in the way you sang-shouted. You go through the whole song, including a tap-dancing bit from Ranboo, which you didn't understand whatsoever. But, as time passes, the five of you begin to delve into the deep abyss of 5 Minute Crafts and Troom Troom on stream, creating a whole section of commentary together.
"This has to be fetish content." You comment, watching in creeped-out-awe as the video is just about people sitting on and squishing things.
"I can't see how it isn't" Ranboo shrugs, "Who is watching this?"
"Probably like, middle aged moms, you'd think" Tubbo replies, "Or like, brainrotted YouTube Kids children"
"Probably the latter"
The group votes on no more Troom Troom, feeling genuinely weirded out by some of the stuff on their page. You get Tubbo to pull up 5 Minute Crafts, a much better option.
"I hope that slide caves in" Tommy comments, seeing a thumbnail or a slide being made out of cardboard boxes.
"Me too, brother" You smile, "I mean how would it not? That child looks like they're maybe 80 pounds, this is a safety violation"
"Oh my God" Tubbo speaks, resting his head in his hands.
Freddie is the first to laugh, doubling over in his chair as Tubbo clicks on the video with the cursed thumbnail. "Did you see that?"
"Y/n was right, this has to be fetish content"
"What fetish includes eating off of toilet seats!?" Tommy loudly questions, seeing you stare into space out of shock and concern.
"That's probably the worst idea to solve that problem too, like, it'll still roll off and it hurts to have a whole toilet seat around your neck, ceramic or not" Ranboo chuckles, repositioning to sit criss-cross in their chair.
"Oh my God" You cringe, "Why are we putting pounds of garlic into a stick of butter??"
"I bet you that texture is so rank when you taste it..." Tommy cringes as well, seeing the oil being frozen after baking for reusable purposes. "It looks chunky!"
Freddie fake gags, crying about how he wanted to go home.
"Okay, no more!" Tubbo chuckles, clicking away to the YouTube home page. "Enough of that, I feel myself losing braincells"
Tommy shouts, hands to his mouth to create more sound. "Troom Troom for president 2024!"
"And I thought what we had was already awful"

How Do I Tell You?
based on the Lizzy McAlpine song (go listen to it I beg you it is so huskerdust coded)
Angel is scared. More than he has been in a long time. At least like this. A real relationship should excite him, make him happy. But he can't get over the fear that all of this is going to end.
Scared that Husk will leave him like everyone else tends to. Even though he assures that it will never happen. Or scared that Angel will be someone Husk is scared to love. Because of his past. Because of his present. The addiction that still pulls at his mind and the chain that is wrapped firmly around his soul.
Angel believes that no one could ever love him the way that he is. That's what everyone he's ever been with said. What his family would say if they really knew about him. Everyone except Molly.
But Husk doesn't talk like the rest of them. Doesn't say the mean shit that crushes Angel's spirit. Doesn't play the games. He does the exact opposite. Makes Angel feel like he might be worth something in the end.
That's the thing that makes Angel so scared. He's used to the pain. To the torment. To the abuse. He doesn't know what it's like to be happy with someone. Doesn't know a damn thing about it. It's what he's come to expect. How is he supposed to tell that to Husk? How is he supposed to tell him where it all started?
Husk is someone that Angel wants to know. Wants to know all of the things that he's never told anyone else. All the secrets and insecurities. Everything that makes Husk the man that he is. But in turn, that would make Angel want to tell him the same. And if he did, what would come of it.
Deep down, Angel is ashamed of what's happened to him. Only a few people have seen into his life, that he's let see into his life. There was still so much more that no one knew. No one needed to know.
Angel's not the person he was when he joined the hotel. When all he was doing was just working for Val. There is so much more to him that he is comfortable to be. Comfortable to share. Most of it is because of Husk. Knowing that there was a person out there who liked Angel for who he was without the contract. He couldn't say that for most people.
He wants to tell Husk. He does. Just doesn't know how. How can Angel tell him what really happened to him? How can he admit that he's been waiting for it to all go bad? How he's so used to the pain that he expects it.
How could people write love songs without them being sad? The love that Ange's experienced has only ever been sad. It's all he's known.

Louise Brealey On Starring In BBC Three’s Upcoming Comedy Such Brave Girls
Such Brave Girls will arrive on BBC iPlayer on 22 November

Louise Brealey is perhaps best known for her witty portrayal of lovelorn morgue technician Molly Hooper in Sherlock – but we’re loving her recent comedy work even more. She’ll next be seen in the BBC‘s hotly anticipated comedy Such Brave Girls, coming later this month. Written by Kate Sadler, Louise plays Deb, the matriarch of a dysfunctional family, trying and failing to keep her kamikaze daughters from disaster. We sat down with Louise to hear all about it.
Interview: Louise Brealey
© Leo Staar
Hi Louise, how’s life going at the moment?
Hello! It’s been a busy summer – my new film has been doing the festival circuit so there have been a lot of planes, trains and automobiles.
You’re about to star in BBC’s new series Such Brave Girls – can you give us an elevator pitch for the show?
Two messed-up twenty-something (real-life) sisters [Kat Sadler and Lizzie Davidson] and their total car crash of a mother attempt to navigate their way out of disaster and into love.
You play Deb – can you describe her?
Deb is amazing. She’s a shockingly bad mum who has completely messed up her two Gen Z daughters. I think of her as one of those vending machines at railway stations and swimming pools where you can get a Twix, but all that’s on her shelves is Tough Love.
What was it like playing her?
A terrifying hoot – she has a lot of lines.
How did you get into character/prepare for the role?
I based Deb on a little girl I used to know. You could see every emotion on her face. Guile, rage, confusion, fear. When she was cross, she scowled. When she was delighted, she beamed.
I used my real accent: Northamptonshire. It has softened over the years, so I sound a lot posher now, but it’s how my family speak and I’ve never had the chance to work using it.
Any funny stories from rehearsals or filming?
The scenes requiring our amazing intimacy coordinator, Elle McAlpine, were hysterically funny and genuinely not at all awkward. Poor Paul Bazely who plays Dev may have experienced some chafing.
What is the cast dynamic? Who was your favourite person to work with?
We are like a little family when we are filming. I feel very protective of Kat and Lizzie. And Paul is a wonderful human being and a phenomenal actor.
Are you still in touch with any of your co-stars?
Yes, we message all the time.
Josie (KAT SADLER), Deb (LOUISE BREALEY), Billie (LIZZIE DAVIDSON) in Such Brave Girls. © BBC/Various Artists Limited/James Stack
You’re perhaps best known for your role as Molly in Sherlock. What is that like to look back on?
Bittersweet because I don’t feel we finished it, and we have lost Una Stubbs. But it was incredible to be a part of what was really a phenomenon. It couldn’t happen now with streaming.
Any special memories from the show?
Too many. Having a candle in an egg custard tart (my favourite) on my birthday in Benedict’s trailer… Laughing and laughing with darling Una and Rupert Graves, who is a dreamboat.
You’ve also starred in the likes of Lockwood & Co, Brian and Charles and Back recently. But what has been your favourite project to date?
I loved working on Clique for the BBC a few years back. I got to play a hard-ass Queen Bee university lecturer in power suits who was afraid of no one, and then to completely fall apart. In an Edinburgh accent.
I loved Lockwood & Co. How does it feel for the show to be cancelled after just one series?
I felt so bad for the young cast, the crew, the fans and everyone whose livelihoods depended on the show coming back. It got such fantastic reviews and great viewing figures. I feel like the hoop it had to jump through for the streamer was just too impossibly small.
Any roles in the pipeline that you’re excited about? (If you’re allowed to tell us!)
I’m the lead in a lesbian chicken factory musical film called Chuck Chuck Baby.
Who has been your favourite actor to work with in the past?
This is much too hard. There have been so many that I admired, and some I now call dear friends. But my buddy Jeff Rawle I’ve worked with three times now, and we are trying to make it a fourth.
Which co-star did you learn the most from?
Antonia Pemberton, who played Nanny in Peter Hall’s Uncle Vanya when I was Sonya. She told me not to keep tomatoes in the fridge.
What’s your dream role?
I’m desperate to get back on stage. I’ve been doing film and television for the past seven years, but theatre is my heart and my home.
What’s a genre you’d like to do more of?
I’d like a good horror. I can’t watch them because I’m a scaredy-cat, but I’d love to be in one.
© Leo Staar
Do you get to spend much time at home?
Not enough. I’ve been gadding about.
Do you live in the town or the country? Which do you prefer?
I’ve lived in London since I left university. I live on a hill next to an oak tree, so it feels like we are in the branches. I can never leave London because I’d miss the culture stuff, but I am a woodland creature.
What’s your interior design style?
A mish-mash of old things I’ve found in auctions. Too many books.
How do you find balance in your personal and work lives?
I don’t.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
An astronaut.
If you could give advice to your 15-year-old self, what would it be?
Don’t sleep with that guy’s flatmate when you are 21.
How can we all live a little bit better?
Choose love.
Anything fun in the pipeline – professionally or personally?
I’m going to run away to a southern European city for January and February to write.
Quick Fire
I’m currently watching… Only Murders in the Building
What I’m reading… We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
The last thing I watched (and loved) was… Silo. I love Rebecca Ferguson.
What I’m most looking forward to seeing… The Motive and the Cue with Mark Gatiss in the West End because I was away for its National Theatre run.
Favourite film of all time… Don’t Look Now
Favourite song of all time… ‘Disco 2000’ by Pulp
Band/singer I always have on repeat… Leonard Cohen
My ultimate cultural recommendation… Join all the museums and galleries
Cultural guilty pleasure… Overcooked 2. It’s computer game where you run around and try to make kebabs.
What’s next for me is… Walking my dog in Beckenham Place Park – it’s south London’s secret mini Hampstead Heath.

I thought it would be best to combine my answers to your asks into a big list in one post, and I tried to pick songs that I've listened to within the last week. I hope you like them!!
For Oighear (I tried to pick songs that I feel fit you and/or your amazing fics' vibe, so I hope you like these!) [Spotify and YouTube Links]

Better (YouTube) by Regina Spektor
Since I included a song I know you knew already here's a bonus one: You (YouTube) By A Great Big World
***
For Erika (most of these are either heart-wrenching angst or 'finding healing' and/or 'learning to love again' songs so I hope you'll like them! And I've listed 6 here so there would be a balance of angst & post-angst) [Spotify and YouTube Links]

Getting to Know Me Tag Game
Thanks to @musings-of-a-rose for tagging me!
Top Three Ships: 10th Doctor x Rose (my OGs), Loki x Darcy (a very strange exploration but I really enjoyed it), Sherlock x Molly (I know!)
Favorite color: Daffodil yellow, royal blue, dusty rose
Last song: Ceilings by Lizzie McAlpine
Last Book: The Society of Shame for book club, and Billy Summers by Stephen King is on loan from a coworker, so I've been meaning to start that.
Currently Watching: I've been sick for most of this week, so I chewed through Loki S2 (LOVED it, still crying) and a season of Dimension 20 (The Ravening War). Now I'm starting Fall of the House of Usher and as a big Poe fan, I am LOVING it so far.
Current Obsession: Trying my hand at bullet journaling because I've been in a productivity rut lately and want to see if it helps motivate me. Though all I've done so far is watch videos of people talking about how to bullet journal, so not much started on that front.
Currently working on: So many things!
Fic related: A BEEFY next installment of I Think of You, Dieter and Murch's first date, the next SW!Frankie ask (which starts a new mini-arc with them, which I'm excited for), prepping for a couple of challenge fics, and deciding if one of my oneshot WIPs may come onto the schedule after that.
Non-fic related: prepping for Thanksgiving, new holiday decor for my place, Christmas shopping and my favorite part - wrapping gifts!
Country I want to visit: I'd love to see Morocco, New Zealand, Japan, and Montreal!
I think this made the rounds recently, so anyone who hasn't played that wants to, jump on in!

THIS IS A THROWAWAY THOUGHT I MIGHT REVISIT LATER BUT

The writing team included the writers who also gave us two other movies I like: City Slickers and Fever Pitch. Parenthood accomplishes in general what the movie Rain Man did for my wife and me. It reminded us of our autistic daughter And made us laugh at stuff that frustrated us in “real life.“ Similarly Parenthood touches upon a lot of hotspots in the parenting experience and helps us laugh at them. Their is a fine Ensemble cast. I particularly like KianU Reeves as Tod, who seems like an inappropriate boyfriend for the daughter but who proves to be valuable in mentoring their disaffected son. There are many memorable situations but one line my wife and I often quote even after all these years occurs when the other son Larry is pushed out of a still moving vehicle by people he owes money to. His father, played straight by Jason Robards, asked who they were. Tod replies that they were just some friends. The memorable line by Robards’ character is, “Friends. Friends slow down; they even stop.” The movie is full of good one-liners, as well as more in-depth sources of humor. You must ...
