🎂 [birthday cake] how does your OC celebrate their birthday? with who, and where?

regene's relationship with his birthday is pretty fraught. when regene and laetitia were kids, their parents forgot about their birthday pretty much every year after they turned 8 or so, so there's a gap of a great many years where they just didn't celebrate it. this changed eventually as they grew more independent, and by the time they were in high school they had started celebrating on their own; it was always a bit spontaneous, and never quite the same from year to year, but they made an annual routine of going off on some stupid excursion together. they'd explore abandoned buildings, or take the train to the last stop and dick around wherever they ended up, or (once they learned how to drive) they'd drive out to the middle of nowhere and take a night to stargaze. regene started to enjoy his birthday more as he grew older, but of course after laetitia died it became hard to think about. i like to think that after a few years when the wound's not so fresh he starts to celebrate his birthday again with his new friends (in maybe more conventional ways)

🥝 [kiwi] how does their outside appearance differ from who they are?

regene's good at playing nice, but he was (he got better) a very mean-spirited person in reality. it's a little hard to describe how he might appear to other people and what kind of person he is because that changes so drastically over the course of his life—for most of his childhood and the first few years of his young adulthood he generally tries to present himself as Unknowable. he doesn't have much interest in other people until he loses laetitia, so he never really gives anyone else a chance to figure out anything about him other than, like, that he's smart? but i also don't think he ever outright Lies about who he is except by omission.

🌸 [cherry blossom] does your OC believe in legends/myths?

not really. he finds them interesting but doesn't really subscribe to ideas without proof; laetitia's the much more sentimental of the two (although i'm not sure i would say they believed in any particular myths either, just that they were a lot more "spiritual" so to speak than he ever was. in that they anthropomorphized space and celestial bodies on mildly frequent occasion). i think when he's really in the thick of it he occasionally entertains the concept of an afterlife just to bring himself some small comfort but he never can fully bring himself to actually deeply believe those kinds of things

Last night I decided to add a hair wrap to my hair in trans colors (you wrap string around a small braid in case you aren’t sure what I mean)

My friend called me a hippie when I showed her the hair wrap, especially after I showed her the skirt I picked out to wear today

I woke up with my right arm numb and every so often now it will go numb again - I don’t understand what is happening here

My new phone case finally shipped so soon it will be here and I won’t have to deal with the case I have now - there’s nothing wrong with it except the bit around the camera button is wonky and makes it hard to press said camera button

It was raining today. Late-summer rain, like a warning that autumn was just around the corner. The light drops tapped against the single window. The light cast into the room was even more gloomy than usual. Gray and cold. Nnoitra was sprawled out onto the couch, one hand on the floor ( his arms were too long to dangle off the couch ). He was watching TV about ' the most dangerous animals in Latin-America ', and rating how badass he'd look fighting these supposedly deadly animals.

The weather was shit, and he was well aware that his current past-time was what he was going to spend MOST his time doing once autumn hit. THAT was depressing as shit! He rolled awkwardly off the couch and got to his feet. There was only one thing that could save his plummeting mood - THE FRIDGE!

As he was walking over to the ( most likely ) empty fridge, with a false sense of hope, his phone buzzed. Two texts. It wasn't all that common for him to receive texts. His friends knew that it was better to call him ( Nnoitra fucking hated texting ). He fished out his phone, to see a new contact flash on the screen. He hadn't received any texts from his neighbour, Tesla, before. What did he want? What was the classic trope? Borrow sugar? Nnoitra opened the texts.

Tesla wasn't asking him for sugar. Instead - he was asking him if... He played videogames? Nnoitra read the text again with a not-so-intelligent look on his face.

Hah?

No, he didn't really play videogames. He'd had a playstation once, WAY BACK WHEN, but he'd ended up throwing the controller into the TV, breaking both. After that, he'd figured it was more economical for him NOT to attempt any sort of videogames. He only played ONE game, and that was a mobile game designed to help you relax.

His thumb was hovering over the reply button. He was going to answer ' no ', he figured. But, then again... He WAS bored. Surely, Tesla was asking him if he wanted to play videogames with him. Weren't the two of them a little old for that? Nnoitra shoved his phone back into his pocket.

Then he went out the door, across the hall, and - knocked on Tesla's door. He'd wait, wait. Wait for him to open the door, and, when he did?
