Traitors of the 37th Cohort, Cont.

Of the 2500 Astartes of 37th Cohort, 2,375 forsook the Imperium, for reasons still not fully understood. A significant proportion of these were tactical marines. These images depict a typical cross section, equipped with bolter, chainsword, and MkIII or Mk.V power armor; the latter being a common hybrid used by both sides as the Heresy burned across one thousand, thousand worlds.

The Optios here carry combi-Grenade launchers. These squads could easily be used as Veterans with the addition of heavy weapons; bog standard marines are still quite useful troopers, especially with the “Day of Sorrows” Rite of War.

First squad blood marking is a bloody Aquila; second uses a combination of right pauldron and right greave markings. Oh dear, I see I’ve missed inscriptions on some of the purity seals/oaths of moment: Heresy!

I ordered some Mk.V power armor bits on ebay so i can start working on my captain. Got the torso, head, arms, and legs from the assault marine kit. Now all i need are shoulder pads, a lightning claw, and an eviscerator from the new assault marine kit.
