Meant to send this way sooner, but anyway, NEW SUPERFOX LORE! YIPPIE!
The red-white one has been introduced, love that, Miyo looks fucking cool
It was definetly very nice to have their dynamic with Kyuki established and with how Miyo were the one who wanted to explore in the first place and Kyuki being more hesitant, I'm supposing their death probably felt like a confirmation of his fears
Does Kyuki blame themself for giving in and not insisting on staying in the city more?
Pretty curious to know what exactly killed them, will have to wait and see
Having a phrase go from friendly teasing to a painful reminder is always wonderful, but what I loved the most is the fucked up animorph transformation
Something that really grabbed my attention was Kyuki saying “Everyone warned us not to leave the city until we were older”, which does imply that the two of them were somewhat involved in a community or had at least a handful of acquaintances that they were close enough with to receive advice and potentially have mentioned their plans to so I wonder if these people that knew two young kitsunes that always stuck together noticed that they only ever saw one of them anymore? Did they notice changes in Kyuki's character? Did Kyuki pull away from these people and lost some relationships, either fully or just got more distant?
-Leuchtturm
I'm actually sooo hyped about finally establishing some lore.
Kyuki 100% blames themself for what happened to Miyo. It's one of the core factors in why they insist on living independently and why they keep everyone at arm's length. They don't want a repeat of what happened.
Also, I noted on it a bit, but Miyo was older and very much the instigator in their relationship. Kyuki was fairly young and naive when they first found each other. (I'm imagining the relationship of a 13-14 year old finding a 16 year old so much cooler and looking up to them. It's similar to that) Kyuki pretty often blindly trusted Miyo because they were so confident in their own abilities. That also meant Kyuki overlooked the fact that Miyo is also incredibly naive.
Now that Kyuki's older, they look back on their old self with the mentality that they used to be incredibly dumb. That they're smart for shutting themself away from the world
I have not yet established what killed Miyo, but it's most likely going to be a god methinks
Also, I'm so glad you noticed the screwed-up animorph transition. That's what I was going for with that scene. It's a small bit of lore, but shapeshifting is pretty complex magic. Kitsune can do it naturally, but it's still a struggle to learn. Anyone new to changing their shape has to do it slowly otherwise they can mess up horribly. Speed comes with improving the skill. I like to think Miyo learned how to shapeshift early on and is a bit better at it than Kyuki. Well, was.
And now to answer the big question, yes! Kyuki wasn't particularly close with people, Miyo was the friendlier of the two and had quite a few different acquaintances. Miyo frequented places like the cryptid bar and tended to chat with people in their free time, so many creatures got used to them being around and saw them as just a friendly kid rather than a scary kitsune. They tended to drag Kyuki with them everywhere, so Kyuki got to hear plenty of advice and conversations.
For magical creatures, time and aging can feel wildly different based on the species. Every magical creature tends to naturally live longer than any non-magical counterpart, but it's incredibly rare for a species to naturally last centuries. The vast majority of species will cap out at around a human lifespan. The most notable exceptions are any species with celestial or demonic ties. Kitsune, being demonic in nature, fully mature between 900-1000 years old and can live for millennia after that. This means what may be a lifespan for some creatures can feel like a few years to these beings.
As I've mentioned before, the city Kyuki lives in is filled with weaker magical beings. After Miyo died, Kyuki went into mourning for several decades. To them, it was a short time, but to everyone they knew, it was half their lifespan. Anyone they used to know is most likely dead and if not, don't remember them anymore.
Some people were probably curious about what happened to them, but most likely assumed they were either both dead or had simply moved away. No one cared enough to try and find them

My Happy Marriage Episode 4 Review: Kiyoka Is The Best Husband
I apologize that this review came out late. I’ve been busy with writing chapters for my internet novel Lavender Eyes that I didn’t have time to watch My Happy Marriage until now. While this episode had moments that angered me, it also made me tear up a bit. Also, excuse my language in this review because I don’t have pleasant things to say for some parts of this episode.
The part that angered me was, of course, the scenes with Miyo’s scumbag family members. Miyo’s family is absolute shit. Her biological father developed no love for his first daughter because she lacked powers. It’s boggling that his love is only worth something if his child has power. What an absolute trash bag of a father he is. The fact that this is can apply to Asian families in real life hurts even more. Because her father finds her worthless, he was the reason why Kaya ended up the spiteful, entitled brat that she is. Miyo’s stepmother is a bitch and it’s because of her that Kaya became the way she is. I don’t care if Kaya’s attitude and behavior is because of how she was raised, she still engaged in abusing her sister and still does it to this day, meaning she enjoys doing it like the psychopathic bitch she is. The fact that she develops a liking to Kiyoka pisses me off even more given how bratty she is. Kaya is exactly the type of girl Kiyoka LOATHES because his previous fiancees were all gold-diggers and only saw him as a way for climb up the social ladder. Kaya only finds his exterior attractive.
Speaking of Kiyoka, he was an absolute JOY to watch. He visits Miyo’s crap family and tells them that if they don’t apologize to Miyo for all the abuse she had to endure from them, he won’t give them anything in return; he’s basically saying that he won’t give them money or associate them as his in-laws. He’s written absolutely well. He’s not someone who miscommunicates with Miyo or is dumb enough to believe in lies. He’s someone who believes in the truth and in love because he loves Miyo.
The fact that he figured out something was wrong with Miyo after she returned from her outing and wanted to do something to bring back the confidence and brightness she had before. He wrote a letter to someone and that was when Hana, Miyo’s former attendant, came to visit her and encouraged her to be confident and content with her current life.
Miyo feeling like she’s happy with her life but then regressing back to her old self was heartbreaking to see. Miyo finally felt like she had a place to belong, but when Kaya came in, everything got ruined. The fact that she decided to hyper fixate on making a hair tie for Kiyoka and looked rather out of it when she was done showed how bad her issues are. The way her voice actress voiced her so soft spoken to the point of being a mumbling robot was extremely good voice acting. Wow. I’m impressed.
The fact that she realized how much she is loved and worth from Hana is so well-written. Sometimes, people in despair just need that extra push to be able to move on. What Miyo needed was encouragement that everything is going to be okay and that she has people who care about her. The way she was moved to tears when she learned that it was her husband-to-be that sent a letter for her to come to the Kudou manor to see her tugged my heart.
She told Kiyoka of her secrets and how that she’s nothing special despite being a daughter of a wealthy family, but he already knew. He doesn’t care and that he only wants her to be his wife. The way he hugged her so tenderly and how she accepted it back made me so emotional. Man, Kiyoka’s such a good man. The fact that he didn’t expect much from Miyo from when he first met her to falling for her gentle soul speaks so much; the fact that she was so different from his previous fiancees speaks so much in volume. Please only let good things happen to them from now on.
Koji’s brother Kazushi makes his debut in this episode. He doesn’t have much screen time, but all that is told from his 1 minute screen time is that he has abilities and that he doesn’t take his responsibilities seriously. He also teased Koji about being too nice to the point of being unkind. I feel like that’s Koji’s character in general. He’s a nice guy, but he didn’t do anything to stop Kaya from abusing Miyo despite being in love with her. I think Kazushi’s role is to foreshadow that aspect of him. Will he be more of a spineless coward in future episodes?
Wow, I wrote a lot for this review. I can’t help it. The episode was such a rollercoaster. I can’t wait for what’s to come next week as it feels as if something bad is going to happen now that Mr. Tatsuishi is trying to use Kaya in his plans to get his hands on Miyo. What are your thoughts on this episode and how much do you want to punch all of Miyo’s abusive family members in the face? I certainly want to beat the crap out of them and have them get a taste of their own medicine.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 5 Meakashi pt. 12
With some of the more recent chapters I do occasionally think about uploading my various screenshot folders for the individual chapters up onto google drive, or similar. So that way you can see what I skip over if you're really curious
For instance, Shion and Ooishi have themselves a lengthy chat about Satoshi's disappearance. Which then cuts to Kasai and Shion, having a chat about the person who they say killed Satoshi's aunt, before cutting back to another lengthy section of Shion and Ooishi jawjacking about the confessed killer, and Satoshi's disappearance.
Shion then does some research into Oyashiro and the nature of the curse in the Okinomiya library where she meets Miyo Takano, and the two talk about the nature of Onigafuchi, Oyashiro's curse, and the disappearances therein. Shion had evidently not clocked the notion that when someone dies, someone else seems to disappear, which seems at odds with prior narration, but still. Shion then goes back to her apartment and gets a visit from Mion. The two share some cheesecake and talk about Shion's penance. And then:
This, I feel confirms my suspicions about the Shion/Mion mystery from the end of Watanagashi. Shion is acting a lot more violent and aggressive compared to the shrieking woman in peril she was claimed to be when she had Keiichi at her mercy towards the end of that chapter.
Considering the way Shion has reacted in an aggressive violent manner this scene convinced me that the earlier times when "Mion" was acting incredibly violently were in fact Shion. After all, this chapter has gone to considerable length to establish that Shion has a deep grudge against Oryou, at the very least, and has a less than good view of Mion. So it wouldn't surprise me to learn by the end of Meakashi that everything that happened when the bodies started cropping up was entirely Shions doing. I'm open to the idea of this all being a deception to show how Mion is actually the crazed demonic killer that Watanagashi claims she is, especially when it shows just how easily cowed she can be. But at the moment I'm willing to accept the idea that Shion's behind it all. The Why is all I'm missing, because I don't think she would have enacted the whole plan just because Satoshi vanished.
I like to think these TIPS were just put in there to be like "yes, we're skipping back to 1983," and not have to just keep rehashing information it's given up repeatedly. You think anyone at the Comiket, or whatever convention these originally sold at just bought the newest one and dived in completely unaware of the larger ongoing narrative?
Like they just saw this cover with the green-haired anime girl with a knife, went ooh, and bought it without knowing the first thing about it? How confused do you reckon they were? Or do you think they were able to get by without being too terribly lost?
As an aside, looking for even just the original box art is rough. The internet generally has a problem with just dumping out spoilers you know? As an additional aside, Higurashi the shmup? That's a thing that exists apparently, which doesn't surprise me, as well as an ebay listing for an alleged Higurashi fighting game.
Getting back on topic.
We're back to 1983! Everything's gonna be great forever!
I like to imagine this particular set of biker delinquents just get their bikes kicked over all the time. Everywhere they go, someone just knocks em out. So it's basically a weekly occurrence someone screws with their bikes, they confront them and bam, crowd out of nowhere to hassle em out of town. Maybe in the final chapter of this series the embodiment of Oyashiro will knock over the motorcycles again, and the biker delinquents having enough of the universe's shit will beat up and take down Oyashiro. I can't believe I've just now accurately, and completely, predicted the end of the series.
Look at this dork ass. Most specifically his dumb little vest on the original art. Turning it into a tank-top was probably the right choice in the end. I was just struck by a terrible vision of the future. Because this seems to just be a retelling of Watanagashi this means there's a significant chance that this will make me go through the part with the otaku again. I really, really hope not. That was quite possible the worst part out of the entire series to read.

Yeah…I’m afraid I was wrong about My Happy Marriage. It grabbed me initially with some stunning visuals and a hopeful premise, and I left the first episode hoping that the story would find some dimension beyond its grade-school Cinderella cosplay. But it falls flat in so many respects.
It is worth mentioning that this is likely the prettiest show I’ve seen this year. Tsurune is the competition—a strong competitor, for sure—which only goes to show how brilliant a lot of the imagery in this show looks. I love the Meiji-era cityscapes, I love the costumes, I love the character design. This show is a visual treat.
And that’s where my praise for this show runs up against a wall. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised how flat this story is—light novel adaptation gonna light novel, after all—but I guess I am surprised that a show with this level of investment in its visual presentation just has nothing else going for it.
Miyo has zero appeal as a main character. She’s a damsel in distress that shows no talent or motivation or personality. Her white knight does white knight things. Her family is evil for no reason. The one interesting gay-coded character has like two lines to signal involvement and then disappears forever. It’s a big ‘ol snoozefest.
To make things worse, there are nefarious magical elements descending upon our heroes. What are they? Where do they come from? What is their motivation? Everyone in this show seems to know the answers, and yet they remain mysterious to us. Lazy. Dumb. Bad.
I like the OP and I like looking at the screen when this show is on. That is all. 6/10.

My Dumb Thoughts on Higurashi- Onikakushi
The first of my Higurashi Reactions I started on Reddit, now with GIFS! These are basically the notes I put down of my thoughts after each chapter.( I'm not sure if long posts like this are seen as okay, so I may break up the later chapters for readability) [also spoilers for Onikakushi, obviously]
Oh, and before I begin, I read the main five in the following voices:
Rena and Keiichi: higher and lower versions of my own voice
Satoko: heavy enunciation
Mion: Peni Parker's Sonic voice
Rika: Cherami Leigh's voice for Sunako in Shiki
any other voice, I'll say when they show up. With that, let's begin!
Well, that was an uncomfortable opening
Ch 1-1
Honestly the fact Keiichi’s mom has no sprite way more unnerving than it should be
Keiichi, you’re gross. Stop that
Oh hi Rika, I can’t wait for you to murder me and/or Satoko and for it to be like big sad.
Tip about the uniforms: ah, either Mion’s relatives are part of some sort of criminal underground, or this is a pervert thing.
Ch 1-2
WHY DOES MION HAVE A GUN?!
Hello?
(Zero Escape 999) Rika giving me some *Redacted* vibes with these rabbits
Yes, this is a cute picnic, but Mion still has a gun, and no one has said anything about it.
Tomitake Is voiced by Kyle Herbert (specifically his Kaito voice). No one can tell me otherwise
Oh, shit a Sanders Statue!
When Rena talks like my great grandpa side stepping topics ‘,:(
Why is there no tip about the GUN?!?! - future me here to say I now know why no one talks about the gun. thank you. -
Ch 1-3
Should have believed in the heart of the cards, Keechi.
So Mion is shady about the 79’ murder too, Huh?
Never let go Sanders!
The XX killer be like:
That moment when you completely redress to grab an axe.
Ch 1-4
Zimbo Zamboo Zombie blasto!
Man, Mion had to be really lucky to fake a tagging. Like how did that even happen?
Ayyyy Tomitake!
I’d love for a pic of the guy who died in 79’ to show up and its straight up Colonel Sanders given the parallels
Ch 1-5
I don’t like the one kid who canonically has a gun is the one proposing a “four demon fire-fight”
Oh hey, it’s like me playing pook. Keiichi has learned to believe in the heart of the cards!
Rika: So, you want to die? That can be arranged.
You insinuating somthin’ Rika? I don’t like that tone
Ch 1-6
Festival time!!
+ Tomitake has joined the party+
Me: *suddenly realizes we now have six ppl for parallels*
Spooky time with Tomitake and new lady (I’ll call her Ms. Clover until I get an actual name) - also I realized later I forgot to give her a voice, so she's british-
And then nothing bad happened.
Ch 1-7
Well this is a funky version of clue… I wanna try it.
Rika, stop saying cryptic stuff like that. Stop it. Get some help.
Ooishi, sir, you look constantly high. I think I'll give you a southern drawl.
NO!! Tomitake!! Oh, and Ms. Clover is missing, I guess.
Oh god, that’s deeply upsetting.
Secret~ agent~ Keiichi~!
Tomitake isn’t you’re name ?!?
Ah so Ms. Clover is Miyo, and she’s a nurse from nearby. Neat.
Ch 1-8
Two events masquerading as one event. They’re evolving…
“You got home safely, right?” sus
Secret member Satoshi has entered the chat
Hmmmm so that cat eye thing is not just Miyo. Hmmmmmmmm
I don’t like Rena-x.
double don’t like this door shenanigan thing. You call that officer back right now! Keiichi!
Ch 1-9
I feel that Keiichi +passes out for nine hours+
The staple of mysteries, gossiping grannies!
Ooishi out here to drop some truth bombs. Oh shit, may have been too much.
Huh I wonder why he censors death in his own mind there? Maybe effects of something.
Keiichi you are so lucky they don’t know your family’s away.
So, either A, there’s a spy network, or B, they can do some sort of vision thing. Not fun either way.
Welcome to the “Keiichi digs himself into a bigger hole” hour. I hope the conclusion of this game is him eventually learning to talk around the truth.
Keiichi if you don’t cut open those Mochi to check them I swear to shogoth!
God damn it.
Keiichi, you currently have an in with the cops, and actual evidence of an attempt on your life. LEAVE! Find safety, Please!
Ch 1-10
What Keiichi’s brain feels like:
I wonder what they would have said if Keiichi had guessed the mochi?
Keiichi: I just have to act normal
Also Keiichi: No I won’t play games because that would be nice.
*Telling parents about the clock* Ah yes, very subtle Keiichi.
TIP: Hmm… is this implying Satako or Rika aren’t fully in the know? Seems the only reason to play it coy like this.
*Casually looks up how long the game is*
Ch 1-11
White van dude:
IDK why but I imagined Keiichi flying back with a twirl like in a fighting game.
Okay Rika definitely knows as much if not more than everyone else.
Man this sucks Keiichi.
Rena: I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…
Store Tip: huh, does Keiichi have like an eidetic memory or something? Also, hi langolier in my memory.
Ch 1-12
Wait this should be the weekend… *googles* man, tough luck Hinamizawa's a Sunday only town.
Spilling all the beans today, aren’t we Keiichi?
Mion and Keiichi:
(art by @ratt-lord)
Oooo secret past of Mion and Ooishi, sounds interesting.
This cycle? Keiichi do you know something I don’t?
So you’re saying Oyashiro-sama is what, a Cubs fan? God of bats?
That set up with Rena sounds like those guys probably deserved to get beat up.
Wild goons have appeared!
When you monologue so hard you can actually freeze time… HE REALLY IS SHADOW!!!
The Manager? Ryuukishi!?!
Keiichi, Quick! What number was the mochi?
Oh no.
Oh no oh no.
Sorry the most important part was stolen bud. Also, it’s weird they left the white van stuff. Must be pretty confident.
AFTER PARTY
Tomitake!!! You’re Back!
When you are too poor to get a character sprite #Protag-Problems
Love this theory talk. Personally, I’m going with it being people, but the curse is also going on but as an unrelated thing. Also I feel like maybe the girl's astral project or something.
So there's my Reaction for Onikakushi. The later ones have a lot more custom memes, so I hope you like the one I added in here. I'll try uploading Watanagashi some time in the next few days. See You Soon!

Ngl I don't 100% love the message My Happy Marriage is sending at the moment. There's like 100% chance I'm reading into it way too much, but still.
Idk how to word it so it won't sound dumb. Though I hope as the series goes along Miyo becomes her own person rather than living to please others. She can still be married and happy, but at the moment she just kinda feels like a "trad-wife"

Personal but I’ll get off Tumblr for a bit
No I’m not leaving or deleting anything xD
Just that irl is pretty bad right now. Been sick for a week now buuut life has a lot of ways to make you feel worse other than your physical health and mental health. I used to scroll and reblog/like on Tumblr to just distract myself from this cruel world but it’s not really effective right now. Not even my fangirling can help PFFT. It’s sad. So I’m taking a break for a few days. I’d still probably check Discord though. But my fangirling habits will take a bit of a halt.
Buuuut, I’m still writing a fanfic right now... and will make an art for it, so you can at least expect a post a few days from now. At least art is therapeutic. And healthy!
So for now, I shall go~

I saw the spider one and was inspired! This is a pretty specific scenario but, if the main cast was in the desert and they came a cross a boa constrictor or a king cobra what would they do?
oof i really want to draw everyone interacting with a snake now
the main cast is kinda dumb so i think they'd all find a way to piss off a king cobra and die
animals just hate miyo so the most she can do is keep a huge distance. but doing that doesn't always work out for her
nero's the opposite when it comes to animals(they just love being around him). he wouldn't mind holding them if it comes up to him
sawako surprisingly likes snakes. she'd try to keep a safe distance to take pictures
kent is gone. he's abandoned everyone
bianka would try to hold the snakes and get bit(probs after miyo)

My Happy Marriage Episode 6 Review: Playing With Fire
I am applauding. This is the best episode of the show by far. The way the kidnapping plot gets resolved in one episode, the way Kiyoka comes to rescue his fiancee and the way Miyo stands her ground against her abusive family is just perfection.
I like the fact that everything isn’t slow paced and that rescuing Miyo actually takes the entire episode and not cut into two parts. It is a bit fast-paced but I’m just glad that nothing felt rushed. It was super satisfying to see everything resolved in one episode but while holding more questions for future episodes. I’m just personally biased because the Saimori family is no more!
The action scenes were amazing. The way the supernatural powers were animated was a treat to see! It shows that these people are special in a way, but Kiyoka is a lot more special for he is the strongest ability user in the current generation. It makes you wonder why Miyo’s dumb dad actually sent over his “reject” daughter to wed him and not the favorite Kaya. It matters not because Miyo is happier and better than Kaya. Though, my only gripes with the action scene is that Mr. Tatsuishi and Miyo’s dad were stupid. Mr. Tatsuishi was the reason why the Saimori manor got caught on fire and Mr. Saimori wasn’t even aware of the kidnapping plot but still helped him out. Talk about idiocy…
The way Kiyoka seems calm but is actually furious on the inside shows with how he behaves in this episode. His rage starts with him destroying the gate and then using lightning on Mr. Tatsuishi and then coldly rejecting Kaya by telling her that he’d never marry a girl like her. In fact, the fact that Kiyoka is not only a fire user, but has other abilities in his arsenal like barriers and conjuring lightning. Since he is the best ability user, having multiple abilities makes sense. However, I do wish Kiyoka was a bit more aggressive. That’s just wishful thinking on my part since I want someone to punch or kick Kaya and her mother. I’m glad that he’s not shallow or dumb and just loves Miyo for who she is.
The way Miyo stands her ground amazed me. If this was Miyo from Episode 1, she’d just give up and apologize, but she’s not the Miyo from before now. She’s a changed girl now! Living with Kiyoka and Yurie helped her realize what happiness is and how precious it is to her. Even if her stepmother and half-sister were beating her, she firmly goes against what they want her to say. The way she fought for her happiness was truly marvelous. Miyo’s trauma might not be fully recovered, but she healed up enough to know that she has someone who loves her and that she loves him back. The way Kiyoka and Yurie were relieved to see her after she awakened was truly warm.
I’m also amazed with how Koji finally stood up to Kaya. He told her that he’s helping her because he loves Miyo and that he doesn’t want her to be sad when someone is hurt. It was very brave of him. I want this guy to be happy with someone who is deserving of him.
I’m curious to see what the second half of the show will bring to the table. There seems to be two new antagonists coming into the picture and they seem to be connected to the Usuba line. The bedridden man seemed to have conspired with Mr. Tatsuishi regarding Miyo’s lineage, but since he failed, it’s time for the bespectacled man to come into the fray. I wonder if the second half of the show will focus around Miyo’s power since it seems that Sumi’s words were hinting at Miyo’s abilities awakening. I do wonder what her abilities are and how powerful they are.
What did you think about how this episode turned out? Was it satisfying for you? Please let me know!
