Here is the drawing of the re-cast version of Matilda (1996), It’s starring Wendy Testaburger from South Park (1997) as Matilda Wormwood, The Humanized Version of Lillie Lightship from TUGS (1989) as Miss Jennifer Honey and Mrs. Melisha Tweedy from Chicken Run Duology (2000-2023) as Miss Agatha Trunchbull.

Matilda is a crazy book cause it starts out like ‘this little girl was super smart and loved to read :) and sometimes she used her smarts to play pranks on her shitty family :)’ and you’re like ‘wow good for her!! i hope her life gets easier once she starts going to school’ and then she starts going to school and develops telekinetic superpowers via emotional dysregulation that she subsequently uses to psychologically torment her principal into confessing that she murdered her brother-in-law and made it look like a suicide in order to seize control of her niece’s trust fund. And then Matilda’s entire family has to flee the country because it turns out her dad has been stealing cars and they’re all being hunted by the FBI

The Lady Mowbray discourse makes me wonder how many of y'all were attracted to the Trunchbull in Matilda (1996). Because that was the reference point my brain went to for her.
Here's a pic to refresh your memory.

Hello! Your blog is pretty cool! Can Mrs. Trunchbull (from Matilda) kill Macbeth?
(I am so sorry if this was asked already and I missed it)
Yes, Agatha Trunchbull from Matilda could kill Macbeth!
She applies for the Gender Clause. She does claim that she was never a child and/or that she grew out of childhood very quickly, though this is most likely just something she has convinced herself of due to her vehement hatred of children, refusing to believe she ever could have been one, and not some sort of supernatural origin.
Thank you for your submission!

Can't stop thinking about how much the musical adds to Jenny's tragic backstory with "My House/I'm Here." Because that should have been the end; her father barging in and freeing her from confinement, promising to be there and carrying her up to safety. In nearly all Cinderella-esque stories, including the original Matilda, the father dies oblivious to the abuse even when it's happening while he's still alive. His death barely changes anything. But Magnus in the musical went down fighting, supposedly, he died trying to stop the Trunchball - and failed. But just the fact that he did try and Jenny knows how much he loved her but, it wasn't enough, just adds to that pain she carries with her.

The other kids in Matilda were pretty chill about a ghost attacking the principal. I mean, yeah, she deserved it, but they were all quick to accept the windows strobing and chalk writing by itself and erasers flying all around. They weren't even freaked out, they were laughing! Good for them.
