I have a few things to say about the new Matilda musical firstly it was amazing! Miss honey is perfect in all movies and I love that they kept the Bruce eating cake scene. Also the scene where they all get up on the desk and a little later Trunchbull gets yeeted across the entire school is nothing short of fucking perfection. Also one last thing Ms. Phelps is just an amazing character I love her.

Roald Dahl has said and done many horrible things that are worse than naming one character this. but also I am amazed that every adaptation of Matilda has left Bruce Bogtrotter’s name unaltered because...

The trouble with having a December birthday in the house is that we now have enough cake to last us through the winter, just when I want to be doing Christmas baking. And when I say that, it's currently summer.

Bruh,, the poor kid probably had ptsd from the chokey and being at Trunchbull’s mercy after his cake eating ordeal and then to be SURROUNDED by chokeys???
i know everyone loves Bruce from Matilda the musical but I just can't get behind that because I'm unreasonably mad over the fact that while all the kids were revolting, he just sat there and do nothing. But as soon as they drove the Trunchbull away, he got up and started singing revolting children as if he did anything. Like "we won't forget the day we fought" you mean the day they fought cause you sat and did nothing
