Thougths on Tara Platt? Voice of Edelgard? (I love Edelgard ❤)
I think she’s pretty cool! I will say here and there, I personally (PERSONALLY, again, is the key word) think there’s range issues, but she’s a cool actress and holy fuck she did NOT deserve the abuse she got from demented Three Houses/Dimitri stans during 3H’s peak popularity. Like… yes I love Dimitri but I’m not THAT delusional that I think Tara should have been dragged through that shit.
Also, she’s not only Edelgard, she’s Miriel and Flavia! Outside of FEH, some of her well-known roles include Zero from Drakengard, Mitsuru Kirijo and Elizabeth from the Persona series, Washimi from Aggretsuko, and Temari from Naruto. And fun fact, she’s married to Yuri Lowenthal!
Ok so performance, I think she’s pretty great. Her lines as Miriel are punctual and mature, as Flavia she’s loud and confident, and as Edelgard she’s factual and cold. Though I will say that her lines as Flavia almost kind of fell into each line having the same tone for each reading, but she saved it with her lines about getting along and having your back. Her Miriel is my favorite, though.
Ok, controversy time. I think she fits Miriel and Flavia well. Edelgard… she FITS, but because of the fact that Edelgard once had a different actress, I have to say that I actually prefer Edelgard’s actress from the E3 trailer with all the beta footage. I think Tara’s voice fits as she makes Edelgard distant and closed off, but her voice deliveries come off as incredibly redundant each time. Compared to the E3 trailer (Which I WILL get wrong, I’m just trying to quote it from memory and paraphrase) “Do you dare to walk this path with me?… It’s now or never!” I actually think the other actress delivered a better performance. But still, Tara fits just fine.
Range? It’s all right, but it’s not super crazy. Part of it is that Tara’s one of actors who is type-casted, always playing some level of serious characters. But if you hear her lines as Elizabeth in Persona, she can do crazy voices, especially since out of Theodore, Margaret, and Lavenza, Elizabeth has the most emotional voice.
I think Tara’s a good 8/10. Regardless of my personal feelings on Edelgard, she’s a talented and seasoned VA.

Hi!! Following onto what the last anon said, I can't find one of your Freddy stories! It was the one where Marc was kidnapped and Fred freaks out but Morgan saves her and is avoiding Fred because he thinks he blames him. Did you write that? I can't find it on your Ao3 and it was one of my favorites. :(
(I've got it right here!! It's one of my faves too ;; A ;; )
There was no reason for the battle to carry on as intensely as it did. But you were outnumbered. Morgan and Marc had taken to clearing out the battalion to the east, leaving you and Frederick to handle a skirmish in the northern part of the battlefield.
The rest of the Shepherds were struggling, too. There was just too much happening, and everyone was on edge.
None so much as your husband, though. Ever since you had sent the siblings off to fight with their own group, he had been more worried than usual.
“Robin- we need to get back to them.” He said behind clenched teeth, fighting to keep his bearings while the great knights surrounding you started to close the circle tighter.
“They’ll be all right.” You assured him with a devastating blast of magic straight through the Vallites in front of you. “They’re strong, especially together!”
“I know that,” He threw an axe into the helmet of another, shattering bone and steel alike. “But Marc isn’t as strong as Morgan, and she’s still new to the battlefield. If I’m not with her-”
“Morgan can defend her. We need to focus on clearing the field!”
“But-”
“After the battle. I’m worried, too, but we need to prioritize- mrgh!!” You flung violent bolts of Thoron, disrupting the charging men.
It allowed Frederick to draw himself back; of course you were worried, too. Those were both your babies, even if they weren’t from this timeline.
You didn’t like the idea of them fighting on their own.  You just didn’t have a choice, and made the difficult decision.
For once, Frederick thought to himself, he shouldn’t blame himself. This was what needed to be done. He dove in beside you, finishing off the enemy battalion after the bolts of lightning faded.
It would be several minutes that dragged by before you were able to route the enemy. You flung up a signal flare, letting the others know that you and Frederick had succeeded in neutralizing your targets.
Another flare, to the west, followed after. Chrom and his group had succeeded. Then came Sumia, Cordelia’s and Miriel’s. All positive.
The battle was a resounding victory, it looked like.
Frederick looked to the northeast out of instinct; Morgan and Marc’s flare should be going up any moment. A positive signal.
You were right, after all; they were both very strong. He couldn’t be more proud of his son and daughter, as they were excellent nights.
So excellent, that he couldn’t allow himself to even consider the possibility that the flare shooting up was negative.
But the sky went dark, and a red flare shot into the sky. North-northeast.
Negative.
“Robin-”
“Go!!” You burst past him, running towards the flare as it dissipated into the sky. Frederick rushed after you and kicked Hebert into gear, galloping as fast as he could. His heart thundered in his chest, and an icy fear crept through his veins.
His children were the only ones to come back negative. It didn’t mean they were inherently in danger, but it did mean that they weren’t winning their battle. Possibly worse.
The forest gave way to a small clearing. You noticed the coat, first.
“Morgan!!”
“Gods-” Frederick tore from his horse and hit the ground, following you to the boy collapsed on the ground.
Morgan’s armor was shattered, blood coating him from head to toe. He was gasping for air. The spear had been torn from his hands, splintered and broken off somewhere away from his body.
He was fighting to stay conscious. Worst of all, Frederick realized, was that his son was alone.
“Morgan, Morgan- can you hear me?!” Your voice was tense with fear, pulling him to your chest and cradling him tightly. “He’s covered in wounds, he’s- Frederick, what do we do?!”
“I have an elixir-” He stumbled and grabbed the vial from his pouch, taking his kerchief and pushing it into your hand. “We need to clean the wounds and patch them, quickly!”
You sent up an emergency flare. The voices of the Shepherds echoed in the trees, but they were all farther away than the two of you were.
Frederick helped you pull Morgan’s coat off, working to get his tunic off and cutting away belts and anything else keeping you from the injuries. There were gashes all over him, an assault on your son that you never wanted to see.
“Wait-” You shoved your hand into his pouch, finding an emergency vulnerary. “This...this should be enough. We can at least get the bleeding to stop. But Marc…”
“I’ll find her. She must be close by.”
She had to be.
Frederick returned to Hebert and swiftly steered around, galloping into the field in search of Marc.
He didn’t know where to start, only to search frantically for a mop of brown hair and another tactician’s coat.
She couldn’t have gone far from Morgan. The flare was sent up a short while ago...she had to be near him. They would never leave each other’s sides, especially not if you had directed them to stay together.
For minutes more Frederick searched, his voice hoarse as he called for his daughter. He had no reply.
The search came to a sudden end. Hebert’s hoof clacked against something heavy on the ground, making the beast stumble.
Frederick followed the object as it fumbled across the grass. It was a heavy tome.
He dropped to the grass, unaware of how badly his hands were shaking when he retrieved it. An Arcwind tome.
Marc’s tome.
His grip tightened on the book- the paralyzing fear overwhelmed him, realizing that its owner had yet to be found. She wasn’t anywhere.
“Marc!!” He shouted for her, his chest heaving with breath that he couldn’t find. He was panicking. His daughter was missing.
She had lost her weapon, her brother, she was gods knows where, and in what state-
The thought of her mangled body flashed across his mind, and for a moment, Frederick couldn’t breathe. The fear of his child being in danger, worse than anything he could possibly imagine, was overwhelming all of his senses.
It was the scream that snapped him from his thoughts.
“PAPA!!”
Frederick jolted when Marc’s voice ripped through the air. He whipped around, searching for its source.
“Marc?! Marc, I’m here!!”
“PAPA!!!”
Above.
Frederick stared into the sky, the sun suddenly blotted out by a hulking beast. A wyvern rider had taken to the air, a whole troupe of them alongside him. The battalion Morgan and Marc were tasked with clearing.
And in the dragon’s claws
was Marc.
They had his daughter.
“NO!!”
Marc was reaching for him, screaming after him. He had never seen such a look on her face, but what was worse was that she was getting further and further away from him.
They were taking his daughter right in front of his eyes.
He galloped after them. He poured on what speed he could.
“No- no, Marc!! MARC!!”
He cried after her, reached for her- but Marc was too far gone.
He could only watch, helpless and afraid, as his daughter disappeared into the sky.
“Marc…!!”
-------------------------
The healing tent was in a flurry. Morgan had been treated and brought back to a stable consciousness, but there was no relief in the room.
Everyone that was crowded inside knew of what happened.
You were helping Morgan to his feet when Frederick returned, his expression gaunt and dark with fear.
He clutched Marc’s tome to his chest. Numbly, he informed you of what he witnessed.
The Valmese took her.
“It’s all my fault.” Morgan’s buried his face in his hands, “I-I wasn’t strong enough to fend them off, and when they got m-me out of the way, they…”
“Do you know why they took Marc?” Chrom questioned him, standing beside his sister who continued to heal him. Morgan shook his head, remorseful.
“They saw our coats. They knew whose children we were. But when I put up more of a fight, trying to keep them from Marc, they figured it’d be easier to get me out of the way. They o-overwhelmed me, and I told her to run, but…”
“They chased her down.” Chrom sighed heavily, “This doesn’t bode well. There are a number of places they could’ve taken her that are nearby- and we’re in no state to rush straight into another battle.”
“There doesn’t need to be another battle.” Frederick stepped in, hand on the hilt of his blade. “I will go. Whatever locations we deem likely as to her location, I’ll take them down on my own.”
“Frederick, you can’t be serious-”
“They have my daughter. I will not rest until she is safe. I never should have left her side to begin with.” There were thick layers of worry beneath his anger.
You touched his shoulder, trying to draw him back. “Let’s focus on finding the most viable location, first. Then we can discuss who goes.”
“I will not be kept from saving my child-”
“But you will not be going alone.” You cut him off curtly. The look on his face could melt steel. “We’ll discuss rescue logistics later. Right now we need to focus on actually finding her.”
The Shepherds could only watch as their fearless tactician stood up to their captain, a man who looked ready to tear through just about anything if it meant he’d get his way. They had never seen him when his family was in danger.
He was a protective man; which clearly meant he was a dangerous one.
Frederick silently took his leave, storming from the healer’s tent. You shared a glance with Morgan, who knew full well how his father could be.
“...I’m sorry, everyone. We need to get back to the matter at hand. Miriel, you had the maps for the northern regions, right?”
Morgan watched as you drew in the Shepherds to begin the planning, the feelings of guilt silently growing within him. He knew there was only so much he could have done, but Marc was with him when she was taken. It felt like his fault more than anyone else’s.
He made plans to convene with his father once the most likely location was found. He hoped the rest of his wounds would be patched up before the sun fell that day.
The sooner he was on his feet, the sooner Marc would be home.
-------------------------
Night had come long before you made it back to your tent. You were exhausted, but the need to sleep wasn’t there. You were too tired to focus properly, but too worried to risk falling asleep.
You could see Frederick’s silhouette against the candlelight, pacing back and forth urgently. The poor man was falling apart at the seams. Considering the way he behaved in regards to his children, it was only natural he be so upset.
Tentatively you entered through the flap, Frederick’s back to you even as he heard you latching it shut. For several seconds neither of you spoke.
“Frederick?” You didn’t receive a response. His shoulders were tight and hunched forward, his entire body tense. “Darling, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to shoot you down. I know you’re worried about Marc, as am I. If I could let you hunt down her captors and bring her home on your own, I would.”
“You can.”
“I can’t.” You insisted, firmly, the response enough to finally draw his attention around to you.
His face was grim and unimpressed with the situation. But his anxiety betrayed the anger in his eyes.
“You know we can’t risk being so reckless. Throwing you to the Valmese, alone? While you’re compromised?”
“I am not compromised, I-”
“You’re worried about our daughter and you want to jump head first into the enemy’s camp to bring her home.”
“And you don’t?” He snapped, “She never should’ve been taken in the first place! We don’t know what they’re going to do with her, what methods of torture they might be using- they could kill her before we get there! We can’t wait for a plan, we need to go!!”
“It’s too dangerous, and we don’t even know where to start! What if you choose the wrong location? What if you inadvertently notify the enemy that you’re looking for her, and then they take her somewhere farther away? What if they kill her because they find out you’re coming?”
“None of this would’ve happened at all if I had been with her!”
“Frederick, that’s not true.” You argued when he whipped around, his glare sharp and unforgiving.
“If I was with Marc I could’ve protected her. I could’ve taken her place, or-”
“You really think that I would prefer you be stolen instead of Marc? You think that would make this any easier?”
“If my children are safe then they can flay me alive, for all I care!! Marc needed to be with me, not Morgan. She never should’ve left my side!!”
“You cannot blame Morgan for this.”
You shook your head in disbelief. Frederick exhaled heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“What I am saying is that Marc’s safety is my priority, above all else. She is not strong enough to fight with anyone else, yet. Her training is not complete. If I was with her, I could've done something different. At the very least, I could've stalled long enough for her to get back!”
“They were up against wyvern riders- if I knew there’d be so many of them, I wouldn’t have let them take that battalion on. Besides, you couldn’t have handled them- Morgan’s still a cavalier, and his armor is lighter than yours. He’s able to maneuver around those axes, but you would've fallen harder than he did. You saw him! You think you could’ve survived that assault?”
“If only long enough to protect my daughter.” He glowered, “But I wasn’t there, and I couldn’t, and now…”
“Frederick, we’re going to find her.” You closed the distance between you, “There’s no point in arguing like this. Just don’t be angry with Morgan, or yourself. Be angry with me. I was the one who sent them off.”
“I’m not...I’m not angry at you or Morgan. I’m angry that I couldn’t protect my own blood.”
“I know.” You sank down onto the cot beside him, wrapping your arms around him. “I’m sorry.”
“I couldn’t bear it if we lost her, Robin. She’s not even from our own timeline, but I cannot imagine our lives without her.” He confessed, his voice muffled weakly into your shoulder. You squeezed him close, willing back tears of your own.
Marc had only been in your lives for a short time. But it was clear that she was her father’s daughter.
He couldn’t lose her. Not like this.
You both knew this. But you weren’t the only ones. There was a boy wearing your coat and wrapped in bandages that heard it all, waiting silently outside the tent. He knew what he needed to do.
You could stop his father. He wasn’t the one who needed to rescue Marc.
Morgan was.
-------------------------
You woke up before Frederick did. The bags under his eyes were dark, clearly restless from the anxieties that poured out that night.
You let him stay in bed a while longer. He needed it; you could handle the start of the search. At least, that’s what you thought.
“Robin!!”
“Lissa?”
The princess stood in the entrance of your tent, shifting from foot to foot with sheer panic on her face.
“Morgan’s gone!!”
Your heart plummeted. “What?!”
“He left a note in his tent- Lucina went to check on him when he didn’t come to the medics, and found this!”
You skimmed the hastily scrawled note with trembling hands. Morgan was hunting down the men who took Marc. He would bring her back, it promised. No matter what.
You didn’t realize Frederick was awake until his hand covered yours to take the note for himself. His face was unreadable, but you watched the color drain as he paled with realization.
“Morgan-”
“We have to go.”
You took Frederick’s hand and you were racing across camp. It didn’t take long for the panic to grow into a borderline riot; the tactician’s children were both gone, and it was only a matter of time before someone showed up hurt or worse.
They didn’t have any time left to try and form a proper strategy.
You discovered maps were missing, but there was enough to go on that you could feasibly track down the locations you needed.
The problem was that it was taking too long. You were starting to understand why Frederick was so anxious, before. Now that both your children were in danger, the patience and time for rational thought was quickly dissipating.
It wouldn’t be until sundown that you found an answer.
“We’ve got it!!” Henry leapt from the table, his hands glowing with dark magic. “The tracking spell’s active. If we go this way, towards the northwest, they’ll be there! Then we can rip everyone in there to shreds, nya ha!!”
“Northwest.” Frederick repeated and turned on his heel, striding for the barracks. He had been in a full suit of armor all day, and had a number of weapons at the ready.
The Shepherds followed suit, all of them ready to lay into the Valmese and raze their forts. They weren’t going to get away with what they’d done.
You were hot on Frederick’s heels the entire time, prepping your strongest tomes. You were working in tandem, handing each other what you needed and directing orders to the others that were flurrying about in preparation for battle.
“You think we’ll be able to find them in time?” Frederick asked you with that pinch of uncertainty in his voice. You nodded, tightening your gauntlets.
“We have to. If the tracking spell is working, that means they’re both still alive. It tracks the subject’s life force. So long as Henry’s spell is active, we can save them.”
“It wouldn’t detail if anyone is injured, would it?”
“Unfortunately not. But injured is better than dead.” You reminded him, “They’re going to come home.”
“There is no doubt.” Frederick shifted his chest plate, keeping it firm and making sure it was ready to take a few good blows. He’d be raging through the Valmese, after all. A few hits were going to make it through his defenses.
He glanced out the window on a whim, watching the sun begin its descent behind the mountains.
“We will need to embark soon. At this rate we won’t be there until tomorrow morning, even if we use wyverns to-”
A silhouette captured Frederick’s attention in the distance. You were busying yourself with your sword, unaware he was distracted.
“Henry mentioned a spell we can use to speed up our travel time. It’ll take a lot of mana, so it’s best we assign it to a mage that can stay back and build magic. If spare Miriel for the first half of battle we can...uh, Frederick..?”
You trailed off when your husband brushed past you, starting out the door. You stared at him, confused. He was completely focused on the outskirts of camp.
Brow furrowed, you followed him, calling after your husband.
“Frederick? What What’s wrong? What are you-”
You gasped.
There, in the distance, your coat flapped in the dusk breeze. The figure staggered towards camp, in tatters and littered with more cuts and bruises than you’d ever seen on a person.
Morgan had come back.
And he was carrying Marc in his arms.
“Morgan!!” Your cry echoed across camp, drawing the boy’s eyes up. He saw the two of you running towards him and he smiled, albeit weakly.
“Mother...Father…”
“Oh my gods, Morgan-!! You...you f-found...w-why did you-!” You couldn’t form a sentence.
Frederick had yet to try.
His eyes were locked on the fragile girl in Morgan’s arms, who was unconscious. She was in desperate need of care.
Morgan, sensing his father’s anxiety, held her out for Frederick to take.
“She’s alive. Just...needs help.”
Frederick was unable to  speak. His mouth opened, but closed again, taking the delicate girl into his arms. The child he had to watch disappear before his eyes, powerless to help her.
But she was here.
You held Morgan to you when Frederick took his sister. He fell heavy against you, prompting calls for a healer.
“I’m...so proud of you, son.” You whispered, tears in your eyes. “But why would you be so reckless? We were so worried about you...”
“I know what Dad thought...that if he’d been there instead of me, she wouldn’t have…” Morgan sucked in a shaking breath, “It was my fault, so I wanted to fix it.”
“Oh, but Morgan, he didn’t mean-” You choked up when you saw the sadness in his eyes, overwhelmed only by the exhaustion of his journey.
 -------------------------
The air of calm around the Shepherd’s camp was beautiful and most welcome. The Chief Tactician’s children had returned, both in one piece, both alive. Frederick had glued himself to his daughter’s side while she slept, waiting impatiently for her eyes to open.
You stayed with Morgan as much as you could, while you worked between Chrom and the others to find and destroy the next closest fortresses.
They already assembled and set up a strategy for those who had kidnapped his daughter...why not put it into action and make a statement?
Of course there was something that bothered you, which was Morgan’s words when he came back.
And it was something you needed to speak with your husband about. So while Morgan was sleeping one afternoon, and you were finally free of your responsibilities, you headed to the healer’s tent.
Frederick was dutifully seated by Marc’s cot, gently brushing her hair.
You smiled softly; how he loved and doted on his sweet girl. It made your heart twist just slightly, knowing he had yet to speak with his son. It had already been a few days.
“Freddybear…” You called to him as you came to his side, earning a tired smile. The worry lines were deep in his forehead, and his eyes were heavy; clearly he had yet to get a good night’s sleep, even with Marc safely returned.
You ran your fingers over his forehead, pausing his brushing as he leaned into your touch. Your hand fell to his cheek.
“You haven’t slept well.”
“I don’t want to miss Marc waking up.” He murmured, “I have waited this long...Libra said she could awaken any day, now.”
“But you won’t be able to welcome her properly if you’re out of sorts. Besides, there are still things you need to do. I’m afraid you can’t stay right next to her forever.”
“I have already cleared my schedule and reassigned tasks to Cordelia and Lord Chrom, who was gracious enough to suggest I remain with Marc. I am not sure what other duties you would be referring to.”
“You haven’t seen Morgan since he returned.”
That seemed to give him pause. His brow furrowed, a serious frown on his lips as he thought back. “That’s not true. I’ve seen him-”
“You’ve been here the whole time. Since he brought Marc back, you’ve been in the healing tent. You haven’t even come back to bed with me in the last three days. Which I understand, and I have no problem with. But when it pertains to Morgan, I think it’s a little different.”
“I didn’t realize I…” He trailed off, looking back to his daughter.
“You need to talk to him. Morgan’s under the impression that he had to be the one to rescue Marc.”
“What? Why on earth would he think such a thing?”
“He heard what you said, about how it should have been you with Marc and not Morgan. He thinks it was his fault that Marc was taken, because he wasn’t strong enough to protect her. That you should have been with her, not Morgan.”
“That’s not what I- Morgan is not to blame in any of this!” He protested, the worry lines returning full force. “I could not be more proud of my son for what he has done. I was blaming myself for not being there, not Morgan-!”
“Then you need to tell him that. Because he’s not sure that’s what you meant, and he’s convinced he’s done something terribly wrong.”
“I…” He looked to Marc, conflicted, if only for a moment.
This was his baby boy they were talking about.
Finally he stood from his chair, stiffly, but resolved to reconcile with his child. “I will be back shortly. Please fetch me if she wakes.”
“I will.” You promised, and he pressed the brush into your hands, and kissed your cheek.
“Thank you for being patient with me. I know...I have not been easy to deal with the last several days.”
“It’s all right.” You assured him, and squeezed his hands. “I know you’ll make it right.”
“Without a doubt.”
Frederick strode across camp to find his son’s tent, which was quiet and flickered with a sole candle in the far corner. When he stepped in, he found Morgan at his desk, bandaged from head to toe and looking quite worse for wear.
When he saw his father lingering in the opening, though, Frederick was greeted with a bright smile and a surprised laugh.
“Well, hello, Father! I was beginning to forget what you looked like.”
“Morgan…” He trailed off, staring at his boy who stood from the desk with a stretch and a hum, as cheerful as ever.
“How is Marc doing? I know you’ve been worried about her. Is she awake yet, or is she- oomph!”
Morgan was silenced by his father crushing him to his chest, Frederick hugging his sweet boy as tight as he could.
“Ah, Father-”
“I’m so sorry.”
Morgan paused when Frederick whispered those three little words. Cautiously his hands came around his father, somewhat confused.
“What do you...w-why are you apologizing?”
“You did everything you could to protect Marc. If it had been me in your place, I would have lost her twice as fast. I may have died trying to protect her. But you survived, and you b-brought her home, and I...I cannot express how proud of you I am.”
Tears filled Morgan’s eyes, but he swallowed them down, shaking his head to dismiss them.
“If I was strong enough to protect her, she wouldn’t have been taken. You were right, it was my fault she was kidnapped in the first place. It was my duty to bring her home.”
“No, Morgan. You didn’t do anything wrong. I was wrong for saying what I did. Worse still that you heard it. I failed you. I cannot express to you how truly grateful I am that you are my son; that you are the cunning, strong and excellent man you are.”
“Dad…”
“I hope you will forgive my impertinence.” Frederick sighed, pulling back to place his hands on Morgan’s shoulders. “I understand if you are angry with me. But I-”
Morgan launched back into his father’s arms before another word could be spoken. He buried his face in Frederick’s chest, squeezing him as tight as he could.
“Thanks, Dad.”
Frederick would not be able to deny the tears that welled in his eyes, nor could Morgan. But it was clear without a shadow of the doubt that they loved each other very much. There was no such thing as favorites; only Frederick the Wary being overprotective of his children.
They eventually found the strength to gather their emotions and pull apart, but not before he tousled his son’s hair and assured him all was well.
The pair opted to return to the healer’s tent together, so that you could see both your boys vastly improved and happier. They were mere meters from the entrance when you suddenly tore the flaps open, eyes bright with glee.
“Frederick- she’s awake.”
He sprinted the last few steps. Sure enough, they entered the tent to find Marc stirring in her cot, her expression shifting and twisting with effort as she woke up for the first time in days.
Frederick barely made it back to his seat beside her when her eyes fluttered open, squinting up at him in an attempt to gather her surroundings.
“Marc?” He called to her softly, his hands floating over her as though unsure where they belonged. She stared up at him for several seconds, as if processing what she was looking at.
Then the tears silently spilled down her cheeks.
“...Pa-” She swallowed thickly, reaching shakily out for him, “P-Papa…”
He had her in his arms, cradling her to his chest in seconds. He cupped her head tenderly, pressing her into him and hugging his fragile daughter for all he was worth.
“It’s all right. I’m here, Marc. You’re safe.”
She was so very small, enveloped in her father’s arms. She turned into him from the cot, the tears flowing freely. She sobbed against him not even realizing there were tears in his eyes, too.
You placed a hand on Morgan’s shoulder, smiling at your son. Everyone was misty-eyed, but above all, your family was happy.
Together, again.
Of course the waterworks only continued when Marc was able to separate herself from Frederick, if only so she could hug her brother who saved her life, and hug her mother who she was convinced she’d never get to see again.
The healing tent was just a mess of emotions, but it was filled with plenty of love. And, of course, Morgan having to swear up and down that he’d never do something so reckless ever again.
Which, once his father was satisfied with Morgan’s promise, proceeded to receive countless hugs from all of his family members.
A proper reward, indeed.

Who's the Most Likely, Least Likely, or Maybe Fathers for Gerome based on Classes, looks, supports, and/or mannerisms?
Most Child units inherit the hair color from their fathers (with the exception of Female Morgan, who inherited her mother's hair color, and Lucina). But some parents are more fitting for some child units then others based on Classes, looks, supports, mannerisms, etc. I'm not looking for who would make the kid stronger. Just a parent who would make sense for the Child Units.
Recap: Brady Severa Cynthia Laurent Noire Yarne
Nah
Kjelle
Lucina
Owain
Inigo
Morgan
Here's what I've gathered about Gerome.
1.) In Gerome's support with Cynthia, she concludes that he wears the mask to hide the fact that he never entirely got over his fear of heights. Gregor reveals he has a fear of heights in his support with Cherche.
2.) He seems to be better at something then everyone else. A successful chick magnet (see Gerome's support with Inigo), stronger than Kjelle (see Gerome's support the Kjelle), he's even taken seriously when he speaks theatric while Owain isn't taken seriously (see Gerome's conversation with Owain in Hot-Spring Scramble). Virion, although considered a boaster, most of his statements about himself seem to be accurate. Virion is a very talented dancer in Olivia's support, He's resistant to Tharja's hex, he beats Robin in strategic games, he can read people in his supports with Miriel and Cordelia, in Sully's A Support he won a duel against somebody the entire rest of the army was having trouble with, and His supports with Lissa and Frederick have him demonstrating a talent for political intrigue.
3.) He and Lon'qu have similar "Distant from Everyone" personalities. But the uptightness also reminds me of Frederick
4.) Gerome's always training hard to become stronger. Like Lon'qu (see Lon'qu's support with Gregor)
5.) Gerome's A support with his dad has his dad tease him in regards to his and his Minerva's close relationship. It might seem out of character for Lon'qu but he does have his silly moments (see Lon'qu and Nowi's support and Lon'qu's Summer Scramble conversation with Gaius and Virion)
6.) He can sew, according to his event tiles. Gregor can sew (see Gregor/Cordelia's B Support), Frederick can knit (see Frederick & Chrom's C Support), and Gaius is good at making embroidery (see Gaius/Lissa support). But Gerome probably learned how to sew from Cherche.
(?) Both Lon'qu and Henry have some unique dialogue with Gerome. Here's a part of Lon'qu and Gerome's B Support dialogue " Lon'qu: Don't get your smallclothes in a twist, Gerome. Cherche sometimes calls her wyvern Minervykins, too. Eventually, I picked up the habit. Gerome: Oh… Er, right. I knew that. Lon'qu: You know, you're kind of adorable when you're flustered. Gerome: …… Lon'qu: Are you glaring at me? Two can play at that game. …… Gerome: …Enough. This is foolish. Lon'qu: I must say, seeing you so angry reminds me quite a bit of Cherche." Here's a part of Henry and Gerome's B Support dialogue "Henry: Nya ha! No need to get your smallclothes in a twist, Gerome. Cherche sometimes calls her wyvern Minervykins, too. Eventually, I picked up the habit as well. Gerome: Oh… Er, right. I knew that. Henry: Heh heh. You're kinda adorable when you're flustered. Gerome: …… Henry: Don't you glare at me, young man, or I'll curse you into next week! I don't want to curse my own son, but I totally will! Gerome: …I'm not afraid of you. Henry: Yeah, I know. It's because I'm not very scary. Nya ha ha! Though I gotta say, seeing you so angry reminds me quite a bit of Cherche." Plus, Henry has another unique dialogue in his A Support with Gerome "Henry: Sooo… what did Minerva say? Gerome: Hmph. You claim to be part of the family, but you can't understand her? Henry: Usually I can, yeah. …But she was mumbling." There does seem to be an error with Gregor and Gerome's A Support. In Gregor's support with Cherche he can understand Minerva but in his A Support with Gerome, he can't. Same goes for Libra
(?) He'll remove his mask during certain S supports; either female Avatar or female Morgan, Severa will walk in on him washing his face during their S Support, He stops wearing it in The Future Past DLC, And Inigo removes Gerome's mask in their conversation in Harvest Scramble. So you'll know what's underneath the mask and get an idea who he looks like more.
Who do you think is the child's units mostly likely, maybe, and least likely parents based on Classes, looks, supports, mannerisms, etc?
I'm not sure if I got everything. There's always a chance I'm missing something but I'm willing to listen to any input and reasons why you think whatever father is suitable for Gerome.
Oh, and just so you know, I sometimes go back to my other Child Units posts to edit and add new evidence and possibilities

I need more of the fell dragon chrom au HOW WILL MORGAN PLAY INTO THIS?? HOW ABOUT THE OTHER CHILDREN??? N O I R???????????
Morgan, oh god Morgan. In the Future Past, he ends up on Grima’s side even when it’s a very clear-cut “Grima is trying to murder everyone, Chrom was killed and Robin disappeared and Grima rose up immediately after, eating people from his own cult, and immediately setting fire to everything, Grima is definitely evil” matter. But in this situation, where you see both Grima-as-Robin and Naga-as-Chrom coming up alive, badly wounded, and each with an opposing story about who was the aggressor in their conflict, it is going to be a much uglier situation internally for the original Shepherds. And the kids - Morgan is as much his mother’s son as Lucina is her father’s daughter. Morgan is, without question, fighting for Grima, siding with his mother’s ghost and corpse.
And god, Morgan’s not just fighting against his sister and his friends in this situation. The ghost of his father - a puppet of him, his body not his heart - stands across from him on the battlefield, too. Chrom’s not so gone.
It probably wouldn’t just be Lucina and Morgan who split apart, either. I think the Shepherds could all fracture - the original Shepherds, the Ylisseans, are going to stay with Chrom to defend their home. Plegia did start this original war, after all. That’s not a good look. And while Grima and Naga both command their armies with brutal pragmatism, throwing lives away to get a shot at each other, Naga is at least pushing the fighting away from Ylisse, across the border to Plegia, while Grima keeps bringing the fighting into their homeland. Lissa and Frederick, of course, and Sumia and Cordelia, Stahl, Sully, Vaike, Miriel, Kellam, Ricken, Mirabelle, Donnel, all fight for Naga. Libra would too - and present Libra would have a hell of a time, having to confront the fact that the god he’s dedicated his life to doing good in the name of is truly a monster - and Panne respects Emmeryn as the Exalt, so she would stay with Naga. On the other hand, Tharja and Henry don’t have any particular attachment to Ylisse and weren’t raised with any impression of Naga, and Tharja is very attached to Robin, so I imagine they might go with Grima.
Since Naga is also a brutal commander, with little regard for the lives of her army, I wonder if the death of some of the original Shepherds could cause their kids to switch sides and join Morgan after all his appeals. Grima is little better, as a harsh pragmatist who also has a penchant for sacrificing whatever lives deemed necessary, but considering Naga is claiming a righteous crusade against Grima, those words might ring a little hollow and make some of the kids see the cracks and start to wonder if Morgan’s argument, that it’s Naga who truly desires the end of the world, and Grima who only wants Naga defeated, is true.
Which....oh god, can you imagine, if there’s two factions of kids who travel to the past. Lucina and her friends, and then Grima chasing her with Morgan and the last few kids. That really makes this a very overcomplicated AU, but like....it’s also a super interesting concept. AU of the AU? It’s just hard to wrangle how the kids reuniting with their parents works if some of the kids are also at each others’ throats within the Shepherds while they also are fighting against Walhart.
........and then there’s Tiki, I just realized. I don’t want to make her evil, and Naga doesn’t really need a Voice if Naga is able to use those of the Exalt bloodline as vessels, so maybe Tiki just doesn’t really know how her mother is at all, and ends up mislead the same way Lucina is.
All of this is just like. I love pain. Love to inflict it on myself.
Don’t think about the fact that through all of this, there’s still Chrom and Robin’s souls buried beneath Naga and Grima, both of them struggling to regain control before they have to watch everyone they love die, on both sides of the war, knowing that across every battlefield there’s one of their children, and their spouse, at the other end, commanding that enemy army, and they can’t make this end.

out of curiosity who did you pair together in fire emblem awakening
:D Awakening!!!!
In the vanilla game I paired Panne and Lon'qu, Tharja and Libra, Lissa and Vaike (...cursed), Nowi and Donnel, Miriel and Ricken (also cursed), Chrom and Sumia, Sully and Kellam, Cordelia and Gaius. Cherche and Virion, Olivia and Stahl, Maribelle and ... Frederick I think? As Frobin I literally married Yarne bc I wanted Bunny Morgan so I could pretend I had 2 bunny sons lol, and also because the guide I was using said 2nd gen units gave better stats for kids. Which is also why you see Rickon/Miriel and Lissa/Vaike--i was only on hard classic but I thought I REALLY NEEDED THE STATS which is just. So wrong since awakening is easy lol.
But the gay hack!!!!! That's where my real ships are.
Frobin married Panne, of course. Sumia and Sully, Chrom and Libra, Cordelia and Say'ri, Lissa and Maribelle(!!!!), Tharja and Anna (idc about either of them lmao), and I'm thinking I'll do Olivia/Cherche for that sweet, pink hair.

Explain Your Marriages
Just for fun, here are most of my Fire Emblem Awakening pairings and why I think they’re definitive. Don’t get mad at me...Lol!
Amanda (MU) and Chrom- This is the only one I will fight for ceaselessly. The game’s story takes on new levels of beauty if MU is Chrom’s wife, and nothing will change my mind about that!
Frederick and Sumia- I think Frederick needs to father a daughter, since he strikes me as being one of those “Daddy’s Little Girl” suckers. Similarly, Sumia has a smaller pool of potential husbands, and Chrom/Gaius/Henry are more suited to other girls. Their Cynthia inherited Luna and Lancefaire, which I think were good skills for her.
Lon’qu and Cordelia- These two make such a great couple, and I particularly like that Cordelia’s S Support with him has her plainly stating she no longer loves Chrom. Both are very strong characters, so it also comes as no surprise that they produce a terrific Severa (I gave mine Lethality and Galeforce).
Sully and Stahl- I often have a problem with these two as singles. I don’t think Sully is a lesbian, but none of the guys seem to be her perfect match. On the flip side, Stahl would make a great husband for anyone. I do like that this pairing fuses the Cain and Abel archetypes, so it seemed like a good way to go.
Lissa and Vaike- People have a lot of issues with Vaike, but I think it’s hilarious if he marries the sister of his “sworn rival.” Plus, this pairing enables Owain to have his traditional blonde hair.
Miriel and Gregor- I matched these two on a whim, but I’m actually really happy with the result. The way Gregor encourages Miriel to come out of her shell was quite satisfying to see. It’s the ultimate “opposites attract.” In addition, their son was able to snag Armsthrift and Lifetaker, and they work well for him.
Henry and Nowi- This is a highly underrated match. I mean, think about it...both of them are incredibly childlike and treat battle as a game. Their Supports show that their personalities sync up perfectly! Also, I love the look of Nah with white hair (and the fact that she inherited Tomebreaker from her dad).
Virion and Olivia- I can never get the hang of using Virion and often barely get him into an advanced class. That said, he’s the potential Inigo father that makes the most sense. Not only will Inigo get his dad’s trademark blue hair, but they’ll also share the womanizing ways.
Libra and Tharja- What makes me laugh about this pairing is the idea of a dark, dour Plegian witch marrying this easygoing blonde priest. That said, I’d only marry Tharja to a lighter-haired dude because I think Noire looks awful with dark hair.
Cherche and Kellam- For me, poor Kellam needs to marry one of the women who notices him right from the C Support. And Cherche fits that bill perfectly! Furthermore, this pairing sets Gerome up to inherit some great skills...in my case, they were Swordbreaker and Pavise.

A Messy Family Time
The castle was the noisiest it had been in a long while. She could hear the noise from several halls down. The plain, white hallways filled with ancient treasure, portraits, and vases that Lucina never quite understood why they were so valuable always so clean and quiet. Yes, normally the castle was a sterile state of quiet and cleanliness, as Laurent liked to put it. Just as Laurent’s mother and her father’s most loyal friend, Frederick, liked to keep it. It was after all the place where the princes and princess were being raised.
The last pregnancy had been more difficult than the first one. Carrying twins had been a task that Lucina’s body found difficult. Far more than any of the endurance training she had ever faced. Not to mention the birthing process. After which Miriel decided that she would be needed to make sure Lucina’s health did not fade for months after. Then she often came up with reasons to visit and see the children thought that was never her stated intent. Not that Lucina minded an extra hand or two. Especially now five years later when father was going to be handing the kingdom over to her soon.
Since her responsibilities were increasing everyday Laurent had agreed to pause his research on what he explained was the comparative traits of dark magic and it’s supposed the opposite of healing magic. He had already written half of a tome over it yet still insisted he was nowhere close to bringing a conclusive if not at least acceptable end to his study. Yet he was willing to do the extra care it took to handle the children. It was agreed between Laurent and Lucina that hands-on parenting would be best since both grew up cherishing their parental relationships and wanted their children to feel the same.
Now as Lucina traces down the source of the screaming she begins to wonder if having one of the handmaiden’s help them wouldn’t be such a bad idea. For what Lucina saw when she opens the door to the children’s playroom was indeed a nightmare.
Laurent was pinned to the ground by the twins Lucretia, and Renard. Someone had given them paint for Laurent was covered in marks of blue, brown, red, and green. Their hands were covered in a strange mix of the paints that also was all over their own clothes. Renard’s red hair was covered in blue and green paint as his blue eyes had rings painted around them. Lucretia’s blue hair was clean except for the ends of her twin braids. Yet her face was almost completely covered in paint. All except for her purple eyes thankfully. The floor was decorated as well but instead of paint, their were toys everywhere. Play swords given from Owain, pointed hats from their father were hanging off a pile in the corner, and the collection of wooden soldiers each given by one of father’s own soldiers were everywhere. There was no organization to this chaos. Just wild abandonment. While the twins dealt with their father Samuel was in the corner tearing pages out of one of his father’s tomes. The five years old she understood, but she had hoped Samuel would have grown out of such behavior by now. Having finally had his seventh name day just a week ago.
“What is going on here?” Lucina asks finally making her children aware of her presence. Immediately Samuel hid the book behind his back as the twins smile up at their mother. They were still wiping their messy hands all over their father and his clothes.
“We’re playing!” Answers the giddy Renard.
“Ah Lucina, just in time I see.” Laurent slowly pushes himself up into a sitting position. Carefully he removes Renard and Lucretia from on top of him. “I thought allowing the children to stimulate their creative sides would help them, but it became a little chaotic and I lost control.”
“Was it before or after that when Samuel stole your tome.”
“Neither he told me the other day that he wanted to learn so I bought a practice tome along with me for him to use today. Though now,” Laurent raises his glasses up on his nose as he looks to his oldest. “I see that I will need a private space where I can teach him one on one.”
“Perhaps tomes aren’t his thing,” Lucina suggests as she offers her husband a hand up.
“Perhaps, but it does no harm in trying. My mistake was bringing it on me to play time.”
“Indeed my dear. I hope you can replace it.”
“Rather easily I believe.” Laurent adjusts his clothes and flattens out his hair again, ignoring all the paint on him.
Lucina turns to her eldest and holds out her hand. With a pout, he does return what was left of the magic tome. Yet he keeps the shredder paper behind himself in the corner. Lucina shakes her head as she reaches over her seven-year-old to retrieve the scraps. As of late Samuel had taken to acting more like a petulant child than a young prince. Leading his siblings and himself into plenty of trouble. Lucina hands her husband the remains of the tome and turns back to her eldest son.
“Samuel,” and right like that the tears began to spring forth from his red eyes. The eyes he retrieved from his father’s side of the family. “Please stop dear. I’m not going to yell I just want to talk to you.”
“Really?” He asks and suddenly his eyes were dry once more.
“Yes. Laurent, can you take the twins and wash them? You seem as if you’ll need one as well after them.”
“Of course though I think I will ask your Aunt Lissa for help for the little ones. Our youngest son has decided he doesn't want his father’s help.” Laurent makes Lucina aware as he picks up Lucretia. Renard runs away from his father.
“Mother says I was like that with her at their age.” Lucina turns to her eldest. “Let’s go somewhere quieter.” Lucina picks up Samuel and turns towards her husband. “I’ll go get Aunt Lissa and send her to meet you.”
“Thank you.” Laurent sounds a bit relieved as he catches Renard’s hand. Lucina gives him a kiss upon one of the cleans spots of her red hair.
She leaves as Laurent gives a grunt and lifts Renard up. Lucina knew Aunt Lissa would probably be in the kitchens where she and Owain often spent their personal time practicing Owain’s cooking abilities. She wanted her son to never go hungry while he was on one of his self-assigned missions for the Shepherds. Samuel stays quiet on his mother’s hip as he buries his face into her arm.
“Do you want to tell me what’s bothering you?” Lucina offers the olive branch so they could solve the problem faster. For anyone who expects a child to, expects too much. “You can be frank, er, honest.” Lucina corrects herself reminding herself that this was her child, not one of the bureaucrats she was often stuck listening to.
“You and papa don’t like me,” Samuel complains freezing his mother.
“Why would you think that?” Her mind could not fathom why her son would ever think that.
“You always work instead of training or playing with me, and when you don’t work you play with the twins. They always sleep in your bed while I have to sleep in my room alone. You don’t tell me good job or good boy Samuel, and you and Papa haven’t been calling me Sammy anymore.” Samuel begins his rant by clutching his mother’s arm but was soon waving his arms about and growing increasingly hard to hold.
Lucina had to admit it was hard getting the twins to sleep in their own bed. Especially Lucretia since she had her own room, and didn’t like to be alone at night. Though she did not think she and Laurent showed that much more attention to Renard and Lucretia then Samuel.
“Is that why you asked papa to show you how to do magic?” A short nod. Lucina sighs and sets her eldest down. “Listen, Sammy, mama is very busy. She is very sorry, but she and papa don’t dislike you. We love you.” She runs one of her hands through his blonde hair gently. The way her mother showed her to do it to calm children down. “Hey how about we go help papa bathe the twins then he can show you some magic?”
“Okay.” Samuel agrees still sounding a little dejected.
“What can I do to help you, Sammy?” Lucina asks feeling her heroic blood pounding through her veins to answer the call. Or so her cousin Owain enjoyed saying.
“Can I sleep with you guys tonight?” He asks his red eyes looking a little scared.
“You don’t think you are too old?”
“No!”
“Then alright. For tonight you can sleep in our bed, but tomorrow you have to help keep Renard in your bedroom. Deal?”
“Deal.” She made have just solved the whole bedtime problem for one-half of the twins. Now how to for Lucretia?
“Now are you ready to help and be a big boy?” Lucina asks offering to pick him up again.
“I am a big boy!” Samuel shouts before running down the hall.
Lucina follows at a leisure pace behind him. His blonde locks bouncing off of his shoulder with every step that hits the ground. Samuel led the way to the bathroom while urging his mother to go faster. She chooses to catch up to him as he reaches the bathroom door.
“Ah Lissa, Lucina said you would be,” Laurent stops mid-sentence as he sees it was his wife and son instead. Then he smiles.
“We thought you could use our help instead. Especially since you need to bathe as well.” Lucina picks out a piece of dry paint from out of his hair.
“Yes well, I was going to wait since I thought it was your aunt coming.”
“Go ahead. Sammy is going to help out with the twins. Get a bath ready for yourself.”
“Thank you.” Laurent smiles. Carefully he holds Lucina’s head up as he bends down to meet her face. Leaving a gentle kiss on her lips and a bit of blue paint on them too. Lucina laughs and Laurent moves to another tub on the other side of the room to wash up.
“Hey! Stay in the bath! Mom said you had to listen to me.” Samuel was shouting as he tries to keep Renard in the bath. Lucina sighs and begins washing Lucretia as her sons start to wrestle. She would apologize to the maids who clean the room later.

i love how chrobin is almost the universally agreed-upon ship for chrom. it’s so funny because we’re all technically shipping him with ourselves so really shipping chrobin just means you simp for chrom and honestly, who wouldn’t?
i do also love chromxolivia though because their little whirlwind romance was pretty cute and i’m a diehard romantic…. also chrom!inigo just makes such perfect sense in his supports and his looks that i sometimes forget it isn’t actually canon
building off that though i also love henry/olivia and henry/robin bc in this house we adore henry and also multishipping exists bro! henry has such good supports with so many characters <3 OH ALSO have you read henry x lissa’s supports bc they’re actually so wholesome 🥺 henry is so sweet and loyal i love himmm
i like henry x cherche too they had some cute supports! tho i paired up libra and cherche on my latest run so i love them too :)
i love ricken x maribelle and ricken x nowi, also maribelle x gaius! LOOOVE their supports. cant believe gaius is such a good guy i love my gold hearted thief
i also would kill for lissa x lon’qu. i pair them up on every run i do. owain just looks so RIGHT as lon’qus son and also lissa and lon’qu complement one another so well :’)
frederick x sumia was pretty cute as well
OH and vaike x miriel!!!!! their s support was so fucking cute, miriel getting all flustered makes me 🥰
and dont be sorry for basilio x flavia ofc i see it too, they are an old married couple and i love it for them. every time she calls him ‘oaf’ I’m like 💞 my mom and dad 💞
for the child units i love owainigo and lucigo if lucina and inigo aren’t siblings. i just want inigo to have nice things. also owain x severa would be real if they were actually straight, i do like odin/selena in fates. and i love morgan but it feels weird shipping them with people when they look like 13… the rest of the child units i don’t really care about lol
for gay ships in awakening i love fredchrom and MMU/henry :) and that’s pretty much it. i feel like fire emblem is one of the few fandoms i’ve been in where the canon ships are just as good as the noncanon ships which i love (i call them canon ships when really nothing is canon except in my run but hey my run my rules)
as for SoV YESSSS you play it too!!! i need to know your thoughts on faye bc god i wanted to love her, she looked so cute but she was just so obsessed with alm i couldn’t stand her. she did become my strongest tank though so idk why i hate her so much. oh that reminds me what is ur favorite reclass for the ram villagers? for my first run i made faye a cavalier, gray a mage, tobin a mercenary, and kliff an archer and now i can’t imagine them as anything else. it just works in my head idk why
i actually love clive x matilda bc im a slut for battle couples (thank you royai)!! but ooh fernand x clive i like that too
i also love tobin x gray i just know they were repressing those homosexual urges in each other’s company
alm x celica ofc <3 the best ship!
i actually loved mae x boey but they’re not for everyone and that’s fine
oh my god saber x jesse ur mind is just too powerful….
i thought clair’s crush on alm was kinda cute but i would never come between alm x celica and gray having a thing for clair was Not It ngl. i am Here for clair x sonya though just consider it
faye x silque bc silque tried SO hard in those supports and faye was not having it so i think it would be funny lol
leon and valbar having a healthy friendship is so important to me yes
also forsyth, python, and lukas ot3. sorry i don’t make the rules
and berkut x rinea!! I love their character designs so much and they are great
loving these thoughts. so glad to have met someone with the biggest brain
edit: forgot to mention but i also secretly ADORE peri x laslow… they have great supports together and they clearly liked each other a lot from the very beginning which was a great setup. also i think laslow would be very good for peri and they’d both make each other very happy :) also don’t get me started on peri wanting to be a mommy someday too 😭❤️
oh my god i can’t get over how op henry is with just a simple nosferatu tome. forget ruin and waste, forget mjolnir and bolganone, i just fought an army that took out every single one of my units except him and robin within three turns and they just kept sucking the life out of everyone and running away while surviving off scraps until they all died. he was literally living his dream

characterization quotes
Robin Support   See, now you're just not thinking logically. We've killed countless people in this war— what's a few more souls on the ledger? Seems like an arbitrary line to me... But all right. You're the tactician! No more unholy summoning sigils. Heck, I always obey orders! Well, except for stupid ones like "don't fight the enemy." If someone tried to tell me that, I'd cut 'em in half and feed them to the crows! Lissa Support If you don't rest up before a battle, you might find yourself resting up in a grave.   That does seem like a problem. War is killing and death, ya know? Keeping people you care about alive means making the other guy dead. Nya ha ha! Just a little touch of Henry's Super Sleepy-Time Magic! ...The nonlethal version. First you don't want any allies or enemies to die, and now BIRDIES are off the table? ...You're a strange one, Lissa. Nya ha ha! Me? Sweet? That's a new one. Besides, you're the one who's always concerned about people dying and stuff. I don't know how you do it, honestly. I couldn't go a week! I'm not much of a mood guy, I'm afraid, unless we're talking gruesome bloodshed... Well, how about this: I did get you a ring! Will that work?
Frederick Support
I want my dying thought to be about blood! ...Or maybe ichor. H-hey, Frederick! Easy with the bear hugs! These little bones might snap like...Oh, whoa! Are you CRYING?! You really think people notice what I do around here? 'Cause I doubt it. I mean, what kind of things do they say about me now? Nya ha ha! If you lay it on any thicker, I'll be smothered to death! But I'm not training to make myself look good in front of my comrades, you know?   Well, because the more I practice, the more stuff I'm able to do. I like being good at lots of things. Sully Support Absolutely! I'll need a pound of flesh, seven fingernails, and your left kidney. Nya ha ha! I jest. A single hair will do just fine. Yep yep! That's it, all right. I can curse till I'm blue in the face, but if their will's stronger than mine? Pbbt. Aw, you're going to make me blush. I'm nothing special. Miriel Support You have? That's great! I cast hexes all the time, and I've never come up with ONE theory about them. Nya ha ha! Oh, stop it, Miriel! You'll make me blush. Although it's pretty much true. When it comes to hexing folks, I'm the master. Why, this one time at mage camp, I killed 100 people with one curse! Er, I don't remember when. ...Or where exactly. But it totally could have happened. Henry: Well, you know that town we passed through a few days ago? I saw a pregnant lady on the main street with a load of cheese and fruit in her arms. She looked pretty tired and worn out, so I stopped to help her carry her wares.     Right?! Anyway, the more I thought about it, the more I realized pregnancy is dumb. So I'm planning to help the mothers of the world by inventing a special curse. I'm gonna create a hex that conjures new kids right out of thin air! Sumia Support I'm a mage! I just wave my wand and mutter a little incantation... Humina humina humina... Presto! The busted bowls are busted no more! Yeah, it's just a temporary hex, unfortunately. Tomorrow they'll be in pieces again. But at least folks won't have to eat out of their hats tonight. Oh, that spell can certainly be used for evil. All it does is reverse time. See, so if something bad happens to someone and you cast it on them... They have to experience that same tragedy over and over again! Nya ha! Isn't it obvious? You're me, and I'm you! Clever curse, eh? Well, you're about as magic as an old sock, so this was the only way. And while you cast some hexes, I'm going to ride your pegasus all over camp! Woo-hoo! I'm gonna swoop down on people and drop stuff on their heads! Ricken Support Oh? I thought word had gotten around. Yeah, Gangrel was toppled before I got the chance to fight any real battles. A shame, too. It would've been fun to face off against the Shepherds! Then there was Mustafa. He always gave me a bag of peaches whenever I visited. He said I reminded him of his son and that I should consider myself part of his family. Yep. Dead as driftwood, they are. And it was you Shepherds who killed 'em! Their friends and families are probably still crying their eyes out. No! I'd be very sad and angry. And I'd find out who did it, hunt them down, and exact bloody revenge! ...Oh yes. There would be blood. When I was with Plegia, I didn't think much about this kind of thing. Maybe because in that army, I didn't have real friends like I do here. I guess, sure. Honestly, I'm not much good with touchy-feely stuff. You know what I'd rather talk about? The next battle! Maribelle Support Talking to the flower. She says she's very grateful that you spoke to her. Also, she says she'll stay strong as long as you do, too. I'm not feigning anything. I'm just really in touch with the natural world. I can talk to any living thing you want. Trees. Flowers. Maggots. Ooooooh... Maaaggots... Meh, not to me. Everyone kicks the bucket at some point, so why fret? See, now that I can understand. But get this—I've got a special curse ready, see? Been working on it for a while now. If you're mortally wounded, it kills you off before you suffer any pain! Just...poof. Off ya go! It's 'cause I'm not scared, Maribelle. Fighting is actually pretty simple. I just have to kill the other guy before he has a chance to kill me. Panne Support That's not very neighborly, now is it? What difference does one's religion make? I just want to be friends! Ylisse is weak enough as it is. If the exalt were assassinated, I worried they'd lose the war in a week! That would have been a terrible waste of a perfectly fun war. Er, the beast half, I guess. I love animals! I wish I could be one. Even a half one would be okay with me. My parents abandoned me in the woods when I was little. So it was mostly the nice animals there who raised me. I still love their smell. It relaxes me in a totally nostalgic sort of way. So if I went out and killed them all, could we be friends? I'm not that young, and I don't think I'm stupid. But hey, who knows, right? Cordelia Support Oooh, lucky guy. I wish someone would make ME a nice cozy scarf! Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh. Say, what if the wife was dead? Could you give it to him then? That's kind of like making yourself sad on purpose, isn't it? You want help? 'Cause I've got a curse that'll REALLY make you miserab— I asked Lissa for advice, and she told me to take you on a big shopping trip. She said a few hours trying on dresses and armor would fix that broken heart, pronto! I don't really get all this "feelings" stuff, but if you say so. Er, but if you're REALLY grateful, you could join me for a fruit pie... Nya ha! No, it's a scheme to make you fall in love with me. Nowi Support Yep! They're probably quivering in fear under their beds and crying like babies. But no worries! There'll be more victim—er, that is, village kids—at our next camp. Right. You can't actually touch her. My magic is good, but not THAT good! Hey! I spent a lot of time and effort on this, you know! Tharja Support Hee hee! Smiling? This is how I always look. Sorry! Nothing sinister over here. I'm just a hale and hearty mage. Nope! Not me! Although I do own a cloak and a couple daggers. Aw, I don't get into politics. I just want to toss fireballs at bad guys. Hey! Tharja! You forgot to remove the curse! Oh, well. I suppose it'll fizzle out eventually. La la la... Do you need a death curse? Please say you need a death curse. Yeah, dispelling curses is kind of my specialty. Right now, whoever cast that curse must be in one confused pickle! Too bad we can't be there to see it. That would be swell! Oh yeah. I guess so, huh? Although you didn't really need to put a truth curse on me, you know? I don't have anything to hide, and I've never told a lie in my life. Olivia Support You're a crazy lady. Why would I do that? I love doggies! I want to save his life! Right, boy? Who's a good boy? Aren't you glad the crazy lady wants to help us? Yes you are! Hey, that's a medical condition! Show some respect! Oh, will you look at that? It's blood! ...Wonder where it came from? *Lick* ...Oh, hey! It's MY blood! Nya ha! I must have been wounded in battle! Oh man, good times. Oh, I've got a high pain threshold. It's a genetic thing. Nerve damage. I've had a lot worse than this! When I was a kid, my parents put me in this exclusive wizard school. Well, as you can imagine, some of the experiments got a biiit out of hand. Once, I almost set my face on fire! Nya ha! Those were the days... Meh, my parents didn't care what I did as long as I wasn't expelled. Heck, the whole reason they sent me to wizard school was to get rid of me. But hey, no worries! I turned out fine! That's what all my psychiatrists said. But nope! Not true. I'm just a happy guy. Look, crazy lady. I like you. I really do. But you have GOT to let this go. I smile because I'm happy, all right? There's nothing more to it. Olivia? H-hey, Olivia. ...You being crazy again, Olivia? Olivia?! Aw, come on, Olivia! You can't die now! NOOOOO! OLIVIAAAAAA! Come back to me, Olivia! Stay out of the light! STAY OUT OF THE LIIIIIIGHT! Cherche Support Sure have! She's as cute as a button, that one. ...Well, if buttons were cute. We had wyverns in Plegia, you know, and also the occasional fell beast. But we didn't have a single wyvern that was as pretty as Minerva. Yep! I make four-legged friends wherever I go! And even some two-legged ones. I'm also pals with a three-legged bear, but that's a story for another time. Well, when I was young, my best friend in the entire world was a giant wolf. My parents ignored me most of the time, so that wolf became my whole family. Then one day she came to visit me, and some hunters in the village... They shot her full of arrows. Killed her on the spot. But they paid... Oh, how they paid... They paid in BLOOD. Er, but yes. None of my magic could bring my beautiful wolf friend back. So I guess that's why I hang out with you and Minerva. 'Cause it reminds me. I know I'm here a lot, but I always feel safe and happy when I'm with Minerva. Kellam Support I think I get it now. Seems to me you're barking up the wrong tree, tin man. Visibility isn't the problem—you're just lonely! So all we gotta do is find a way to make you stop feeling lonely! It's true. When I was a kid, my only friends were wolves, so they ended up raising me. Thing is...that made it tough for me to learn about basic human warmth and affection... Like just now. I tried to be nice to you and show you that I care and stuff, right? But I got it all wrong and instead made you freak out. Sorry about that... Gaius Support Not many, no. Back in Plegia, we hardly have any cakes or sweets at all. We don't get the plentiful harvests that Ylisseans and Feroxi enjoy. So the dishes we make are kind of basic, you know? Nothing like those, anyhow. Yup. It's hard to make cakes out of turnips, though that doesn't stop people trying! Anyway, the point is, I've never seen so many tasty-looking treats all in one place! Well, thanks for showing me your treasures, Gaius. It's been lots of fun! ...Oh, I almost forgot! I brought something to show you too! Yeah...something like that! They're baked in special ceremonies as offerings to Grima. Never eaten one myself, but as you're the expert, I figured you'd like to try it! Libra Support Like, I dunno...you're a priest, but you wield a weapon and smash people with it, right? I bet it causes you all kinds of anguish to have to splatter the life out of others! Aren't you overthinking things a little? A weapon's just a tool for killing! Wouldn't it be a whole lot easier to just accept that and move on? Who knows—you might wind up like me and start to really savor the joys of slaying! I mean, when you get down to it, aren't you and I both doing the exact same thing? I mean, I guess it's hard for an altruist like yourself to respect an egoist like me, but... They do, huh? Well, I don't believe in the gods, so it doesn't really matter what they think! (in response to Libra calling him out for saving other people) ...

Zombie apocalypse aus are neat. Tell me more.
oh thank you so much for asking!!!!!!!!
okay this might get long so prepare, uhhh where do i start
so basically. henry is my main character. in this au, the risen are the zombies, makes sense yknow. difference is, while most zombie media tags zombies as slow to move, slow to act, and without capability for higher thinking, the risen are still, on some level, fundamentally human. (this kind of stems from the risen’s capability to fight in awakening, and from of a support between ricken and henry; see “they’re just like us, but dead” (((: ) given, the risen are slow and not all too strong, they’re dead and decaying and atrophying- but the fresher risen, the recently turned, can in some cases rival a healthy, living human. i’m still thinking on what caused the pandemic, i’ll be honest, no haha-no-one-knows cop-out, i’ll get back to you on that. but no one knows of any cure yet, of course, or this au wouldn’t exist.
so. in a world of the living dead(?), where being a mage translates to being a gunslinger, cut to henry. was this an excuse to make henry dual wield handguns? maybe. will i apologize for it? absolutely not.
i digress. henry is the chaotic neutral/neutral evil gunslinger with incredible aim and a questionable at best moral compass. i’ve actually got a sketch of him somewhere, of him pointing a gun at someone saying “give me your stuff. or die! i win both ways!” ‘course i didn’t draw the other person, but it gets the message across. he’s generally just kind of desensitized to things. he comes from a neglectful but wealthy family (as he does in canon), so he never had much of a mentor or anyone to guide him in what’s right versus wrong. mostly he’s just interested in self-preservation, and the preservation of his birds; he’s been rescuing wounded birds (read: crows) since he was old enough to know how, and he names them bird puns and keeps them as pets, and now he’s got what’s basically a murder of loyal crows at his beck and call. they feed on the risen (and humans) he kills, and warn him when something is approaching. he trains them well. he’s the pavlov of corvids.
gaius is a slightly more morally responsible survivor, who probably raided a bass pro outdoor shop/renaissance festival as soon as the pandemic broke out. he’s got a sword, and throwing knives, and some daggers, and a bow (before it breaks and he doesn’t know how to fix it). the good thing about it is that he doesn’t spend time looking for ammo- the bad thing is he has to do a lot of maintenance on them. he is a thief, steals from encampments and sleeping lone wanderers, but he isn’t killing anyone for supplies, usually. except candy. he’d probably kill for candy if he liked the brand enough.
the shepherds are a survivors’ group dedicated to assimilating, training, and protecting fellow survivors- think alexandria, hilltop, or the kingdom from the walking dead, if you know it. their HQ is an abandoned castle, a historical landmark, that they filled with traps and alarm systems, and is practically impassable if you don’t know it. chrom founded the group, along with his (boy?)friend robin (that’s actually his nickname, because of his fighting style, not his real name).
-lissa is chrom’s little sister, an aspiring general surgeon and the current medic of the shepherds alongside maribelle, her close friend since VPK.
-frederick is a good family friend to chrom and lissa, and by extension the rest of the shepherds- he’s a war veteran and former hand-to-hand combat instructor, and does his part by training new recruits, and often acting as chrom’s and lissa’s bodyguard.
-sully is my wife also a veteran, was actually trained by frederick while still in active service. she leads a lot of patrols around their HQ, and interrogates new recruits. just to make sure.
-stahl is the resident herbalist/apothecary, it was his father’s trade and he grew up learning it. he’s often an assistant to lissa when she needs it, as he can make the salves and ointments and medicines that she needs to treat injuries. he also sometimes helps in the kitchen, because of his extensive knowledge of plants.
-miriel is their sniper, and hobbyist historian. the historian part doesn’t matter so much, but she likes to talk people’s ears off about things if they’ll let her. she’s pretty okay with math and science too, so she’ll help stahl with measurements, ratios, etc, but mostly she likes history and shooting things from 200+ yards.
-ricken is the baby boy of the shepherds. “it takes a village to raise a child” they say, and he’s the village’s child. everyone looks out for him. everyone is his parent. he is well loved and being trained by miriel in the art of sharpshooting. (he’d rather be with stahl learning how to make things.)
-donnel is their agricultural expert, and directs all their non-specialized workforce in the maintenance of their fields. he’s very strict about their schedule, about how things are planted and pruned and fertilized and harvested, about how croplands are rotated for optimal yields, but damn if the results aren’t better than anything they could’ve gotten at a market pre-apocalypse.
-virion is their bowhunter. they could use guns, but it wastes precious ammo and is loud and attracts attention, so he trains archers and leads them out on hunts when their tame livestock are running low or they feel they can risk the venture. it’s more sensible to take from the wild than their personal resources, robin says, and robin’s advice seldom fails them…
-panne and nowi are in charge of livestock (and nowi is a herpetologist on the side. she loves reptiles. she has a pet python.) panne hates to see any animals killed, but especially her babies, as she calls the one she raises, and fully supports virion and co’s ventures as long as it spares the lives of her animals. she recognizes necessity when she sees it, however, and if an animal needs to be killed for whatever reason, she does it herself, to make sure it’s quick and painless. she’s not the most social, but she and donnel get along well, and when henry joins their number she takes quickly to him and his avian following.
-generally, their guards/patrols consist of vaike, gregor, cherche, kellam, basilio, flavia my other wife, lon’qu, and say’ri. they’re alternating shifts on castle patrol, two to each group, one pair on each side of the castle, east and west. they’re always up late but they’re allowed to sleep in as compensation.
-cordelia, sumia, and libra jump around a lot, help a lot with donnel’s farming but also with out-of-camp ranging, as they’re skilled riders. cordelia helps tend to the horses, and ricken sometimes joins her.
-olivia was an aspiring actress before the pandemic, and before she became a single mother- now she’s practically a secretary, keeping their records of harvests and hunts and slaughters and rangings and patrols. she’s mentored by miriel, who adores that kind of boring work. olivia is also an excellent liar and if they ever need to negotiate with other people, she’s their go-to.
-tharja is also a sniper and everyone’s favorite hot topic membership cardholder. she and miriel like to have cynical conversations about the state of the world and complain about men with sully. the three of them definitely have a girls’ club going.
-inigo (the only child character i bothered to include) is olivia’s son to an unnamed father. his interests have always been in the performing arts field, but as that isn’t realistic anymore, he spends a lot of time with everyone. sometimes he’ll go and sit with ricken, and they’ll browse the castle library for fairy tales and folklore and read it together, and sometimes they’ll try and write their own and then perform it for everyone else, on stormy nights when the mood is dismal. they’re always stupid but they’re funny- they both have a gift for dramatic comedy- and everyone looks forward to their shows.
i feel as though i should warn people that it’s henry/gaius, though that isn’t the focus of it. it started as a bad shitpost and now it’s a ship so… [wattpad voice] don’t like don’t read, you feel

Fire Emblem Awakening Sorting Part 1
Alright, so I plan on doing these for all the games. Mind you, I may miss a character here and there from the games. Odds are it’s because I haven’t thought of a house for them yet. So, let’s start off with Awakening. My fiance and I thought about these for a while and did some debating. We like debating. So these are the first gen characters and Spot Passes. No future children allowed in this post. They shall be in the sequel. You may disagree with the sortings and that’s perfectly fine. We each analyze characters differently and this is pretty much just the opinion we both agreed upon. This is a long post. Do be warned! There is a TL;DR at the bottom and remember, this is just opinion.
Chrom: Gryffindor House- Chrom is reckless, but willing to go out there and fight the enemies head on to protect Ylisse. He’s usually polite and courteous, like a chivalrous knight. He’s the stereotypical good guy and this stereotype leads to several characteristics of Gryffindor being shown in Chrom. Bravery, chivalry, daring, sense of justice and an adventurous personality just to name a few. Occasionally, he could show the negative side of Gryffindor as well. Chrom can occasionally be arrogant and reckless, which are both negative traits of Gryffindor.
Frederick: Ravenclaw House- Frederick was a tough one, but we ultimately decided on Ravenclaw. He may fiercely loyal to the Ylissean royals and brave enough to fight and risk his life for them, but there were other things…Frederick has some strange quirks in his personality. He dusts people, moves pebbles, and is logical. He didn’t want to trust Robin at first, because he wanted the facts. He wasn’t jumping into a situation without knowing more. This concern shows throughout the game and so do his quirks and habits. He can also be dramatic when it comes to strange things. He thought he would die from eating bear meat. Dramatic is something that can fit into Ravenclaw house. We see Frederick as a Ravenclaw, but his tendencies can be alternated between Hufflepuff’s loyalty and hard work and Gryffindor’s bravery and chivalry.
Lissa: Hufflepuff House- Lissa is fiercely loyal to Ylisse and her family. She’s willing to work hard to show that she’s not just a delicate little flower. She works to become the perfect princess and the most common answer was nothing when she went around to ask what she could change about herself. She may be sweet, but she’ll always fight to prove her loyalty.
Robin (M): Ravenclaw House- This Robin is in Ravenclaw for his tactics in battle. He likes to plan ahead and mentally prepare himself for any changes. He’s quick witted and can change tactics on a dime. He’s a more serious Ravenclaw. He loves books as well, which is just another added bonus.
Robin (F): Ravenclaw House- Like her male counterpart, this Robin is in Ravenclaw for her intellectual abilities to plan for battles. She and the other Robin are both highly intelligent and love books. She’s quick witted, but tends to be wittier with her words. She can be serious when she needs to however!
Lon'qu: Gryffindor House- Lon'qu may be a mercenary, but he sure isn’t afraid to do the right thing. He joins the group thanks to Basilio, but he fights bravely for the good of the world. He isn’t afraid to confront his enemies and he’s chivalrous because of his aversion to hitting the ladies of the landeven in battle.
Gaius: Slytherin House- Gaius is a thief, first and foremost. In order to be a thief, you have to be cunning and resourceful, unless you’re one of the stupid ones. Gaius however, isn’t stupid. This guy has assassinated, he’s stolen possibly hundreds of times, he’s done spywork and the brat can pick your locks no matter what. He’s resourceful and hey, his ambition is to obtain candy. What a beautiful creature.
Ricken: Hufflepuff House- Ricken is a Hufflepuff because of his love for his family. He doesn’t want to worry them when he goes off to war and even tries his best to think of a way to word things without causing them worry. He also doesn’t want to kill people, because killing is usually unjust. However, he will kill opposing forces when his friends are threatened and to protect his family back home. His loyalties and fair play tend to be for humanity in general.
Maribelle: Slytherin House- She portrays herself as arrogant and not a heroic arrogant like a Gryffindor may show, but more based on pride since she has wealth. To me, for the most part, she seems like she would be a pureblood elitist. I’m not saying she would, but her attitude towards her son and her husband (depending), make her seem like a member of a Salazar Slytherin cult.
Miriel: Ravenclaw House- Miriel loves to read, but that in itself isn’t enough to get her sorted into Ravenclaw. She’s eloquent with her words, using large words as much as she can. This even makes her sound intelligent. She learns things…to learn and can come across as cold or harsh from time to time. Ravenclaw just seemed like the appropriate house for her.
Donnel: Gryffindor House- Donnel is literally capable of becoming a hero class unit. He willingly went to fight with Chrom and the Shepherds to save his village from harm. He’s courageous and is always willing to better himself to be able to protect his friends, his maw and his village. Donnel is valiant and his actions are usually for the greater good. He did what he thought was right and that was to protect his village nobly. Bless this boy. I love him.
Vaike: Gryffindor House- We decided to sort Vaike into Gryffindor house because of his arrogance with Chrom. Vaike is always trying to compete with Chrom and most of the time, it isn’t for anything other than sport. Slytherin was considered, but his ambitions are solely to beat out Chrom and become better than him. He also tends to jump right into things while Slytherins tend to think things over slightly more.
Sumia: Hufflepuff House- Sumia displays several traits of Hufflepuff house. She works hard with the Shepherds to keep Ylisse safe and to top that, well she has the standard human loyalty of Hufflepuff. She cares about people’s lives. She tries her best at everything she does. An example of this is when it took her fifteen tries (more or less) to bake a rhubarb pie for Chrom. That takes dedication and patience. Sumia, you keep being precious.
Stahl: Hufflepuff House- Stahl is the definition of modesty. He doesn’t think too highly of himself and he prefers to help his friends in their times of need. A sign of true compassion and loyalty. He adores food. Helga Hufflepuff made all the recipes for Hogwarts and I think Stahl would love to learn them all one day. His patience in battle is another trait of his that makes me think of Hufflepuff. Hufflepuffs will protect their friends and Stahl wants and does just that.
Cordelia: Ravenclaw House- Cordelia was easy. She’s a curious individual who always wants to learn more skills. She says that she hasn’t mastered any skills when she speaks to Kellam. Yet, she’s always trying to learn more and more of them. She loves learning. While speaking to Stahl she says she plays an instrument in the orchestra. This to me just seems like a Ravenclaw thing to do. Mind you, other houses can be virtuosos too, but Cordelia is firmly a Ravenclaw to us.
Nowi: Gryffindor House- Nowi is energetic, playful and mischievous. Her personality keeps her at an odd point between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, but we placed her in Gryffindor for her mischievous and bold behavior. Hufflepuff is a close second for her. She could’ve had a hat stall.
Cherche: Hufflepuff House- Cherche and her love of wyverns landed her in Hufflepuff. Cherche is also willing to help Lon'qu talk through his past. This side of her shows Hufflepuff’s acceptance. She wants to help people, not for glory like Gryffindors, but to simply…make people happy.
Henry: Ravenclaw House- Henry is the true epitome of Ravenclaw House. He’s eccentric and highly unusual. He doesn’t care that people think he’s strange. It’s who he is. He can also be quite witty. He’s obsessed with crows and death and these obsessions can found within the ranks of Ravenclaw. For ex: Ravenclaws can become obsessed with finding out what the yolk of an egg symbolizes when it falls a certain way. I’m fairly certain Henry’s curiosity about death…makes him want to learn new ways for things to die.
Gregor: Gryffindor House- We placed Gregor in Gryffindor. He wanted to protect Nowi despite her thinking he was a creep. Gregor looks out for his friends and sometimes jokes around. He jokes about not remembering a word and says flatulence instead. Okay, not quite prim and proper, but everything these days needs a good fart joke and what better house to do that than Gryffindor?
Tiki: Ravenclaw House- We threw Tiki into Ravenclaw because she is the go to manakete for wise advice. She’s been around for thousands of years and has probably built up knowledge while she’s awake. Say'ri suggests consulting with Tiki for information and advice and with Tiki’s remarkable wisdom, we felt Ravenclaw would suit her best.
Libra: Ravenclaw House- Libra is quiet, reserved, and religious... since he is a war monk. This gives him a different view on situations. It gives him a perspective from two angles: the warrior and the monk. Multiple views are something Ravenclaws love. They love to look down multiple paths to weigh out options and we think Libra would be one of those folks who internally analyzes the situation and does what’s best for himself and his group.
Sully: Slytherin House- Sully is ambitious. She’s so ambitious that she literally doesn’t want or need anyone to help her. She wants to create her story and best anyone who gets in her way. Gryffindor could fit her as well, but she tends to be more ambitious. Gryffindor however could be flipped flopped and it would still fit her, since she can be bold and reckless.
Olivia: Ravenclaw House- Olivia is in Ravenclaw because of her creative nature. Olivia is a dancer who enjoys creating dances to entertain, but she’s also incredibly shy. She has the mindset to do artsy things and one of Ravenclaw’s proud traits is creativity.
Virion: Slytherin House- Virion was placed in Slytherin because of his classy attitude. He strives on attention and while this may seem like a Gryffindor thing, Slytherins can also crave attention in different ways. He can be quite self absorbed and considering he was a noble, he probably strives to follow traditions set in place.
Tharja: Ravenclaw House- Tharja was difficult to place, but we sorted her into Ravenclaw because she just does the strangest things. Eel and liver pie is a strange combination and yet, she decided those would be the best flavors in a pie. Odd combos are notoriously Ravenclaw traits. Ravenclaws are also eccentric and strange and let's be honest, her stalking is a bit...weird.
Say'ri: Gryffindor House- Say'ri is a Gryffindor through and through. She was captured because she tried to help people and she literally placed herself in danger to do what was right. Gryffindors are all about doing what they believe is right. Her courage shines as the story progresses.
Basilio: Slytherin House- Dear old Basilio. He was a toss up between Gryffindor and Slytherin. He has a high Gryffindor tendency, but Slytherin won by just a tad. His drive to become ruler of Regna Ferox is one of his highest ambitions. He loves being leader. However, his tendencies from Gryffindor show when he goes into battle. He risks his life. Slytherin however, seems to be the perfect house for this driven ruler.
Flavia: Slytherin House- Lovely Flavia...you too may be sorted into Slytherin. While Basilio had a high Gryffindor tendency, we felt Flavia was heck of a lot more ambitious in becoming the ruling power of Regna Ferox. Her drive led her to getting Chrom and the Shepherds to help (that and they needed her help as well). While she does have Gryffindor courage and bravery, we felt that she was a bit more Slytherin than Gryffindor in comparison to Basilio.
Yen'fay: Slytherin House- Yen'fay was sorted into Slytherin primarily for his focus on tradition. Tradition is a very Slytherin thing and not only that, but his deceptive behavior toward Say'ri shows a bit of cunning in him. Mind you, he was doing it to protect Say'ri alright! It's not like he was doing it just cause he wanted to be a troll. Say'ri is part of his family, which makes her one of his own. Slytherins protect their own.
Validar: Slytherin House- Unfortunately for Slytherin, they get Validar as well. Unlike Yen'fay who used deceptive behavior to keep someone safe, Validar uses manipulative and deceptive behavior to trick Chrom and the Shepherds. This behavior shows the negative side of Slytherin. By the way, I was praying it wouldn't come down to Validar being in Slytherin, but his traits and dark ambitions set him here. I don't like when Slytherins are portrayed as all evil...because heck, Yen'fay to me, didn't seem evil in the end.
Aversa: Hufflepuff House- Aversa shows loyalty to who she feels is appropriate at the time. Mind you, I think she may be one of the few examples of a dark Hufflepuff. She works so hard to get Validar's plans into motion and those types of world altering plans take patience. Aversa has all of this. You may claim the loyalty she possesses is Slytherin based, but Slytherins tend to bump people down...Hufflepuffs will drop you all together. You can see this when she betrays Gangrel to help Validar with his plans. He wasn’t worth the effort and Validar promised a better world.
Kellam: Gryffindor House- Kellam was difficult to sort, but ultimately got placed in Gryffindor. Kellam wants to be noticed from time to time and wants to enjoy the company of his friends. He does this by protecting his friends. Sully even yells at him for protecting her, which makes me sad. His other potential house was Hufflepuff, but to me...Kellam came across as a Neville Longbottom like character and so we placed him in Gryffindor.
Panne: Hufflepuff House- Two things that Hufflepuffs are known to enjoy are animals and nature. Panne exhibits love of both. She cares for her people and wants to keep them safe. She’s loyal to them and wants only the best. She also shows loyalty to the Shepherds who want to bring about peace. Hufflepuffs are usually all about the well being of humans, animals and nature as a whole.
Anna: Slytherin House- Anna is placed in Slytherin because of her thievery. She’s a trickster...literally one up from a thief. So those items you're buying are probably stolen goods. She’s like the Jawas from Star Wars...stealing stuff to sell for a profit. These aren't the swords we're looking for Anna. If this is the case, cunning and resourcefulness come into play.
Gangrel: Slytherin House- Gangrel...is unfortunately another baddie in Slytherin, but he can be recruited with Spot Pass and tries to better himself. We placed him in Slytherin because of his cunning. He enjoys deceiving people and that isn't very nice. He tries to start a war to revive Grima and to me, this is a pretty lofty ambition. He likes to instigate things and let's face it Slytherins do a have a bad reputation for this. However, every house can start trouble.
Walhart: Gryffindor House- We have a baddie in Gryffindor this time. Walhart wanted to take over the continents to bring about "world peace", but he went about it in a totally ambitious, but incorrect way which is why he also has Slytherin tendencies. Ultimately though, his goal was for the greater good in his mind.
Emmeryn: Hufflepuff House- Emmeryn is a Hufflepuff because she puts her people first. Her loyalty to her people is shown by her attempts to keep the peace, which leads us to sort her into Hufflepuff with some Ravenclaw tendencies.
Priam: Gryffindor House- Priam is in Gryffindor because of his dedication to training. Gryffindors become passionate about good and evil and Priam wants the best out of his men to conquer evil. His intentions are in the right place. However, like everyone he has tendencies from another house. This house is Slytherin. He considers his peers his equals, which is a very Slytherin trait to have, but ultimately, Priam's bravery in battle causes Gryffindor to beat out Slytherin.
TL;DR GRYFFINDORS: Chrom, Lon'qu, Donnel, Vaike, Nowi, Gregor, Say'ri, Kellam, Walhart, and Priam
RAVENCLAWS: Frederick, Robin (M), Robin (F), Miriel, Cordelia, Henry, Tiki, Libra, Olivia and Tharja
HUFFLEPUFFS: Lissa, Ricken, Sumia, Stahl, Cherche, Aversa, Panne, and Emmeryn
SLYTHERINS: Gaius, Maribelle, Sully, Virion, Basilio, Flavia, Yen'fay, Validar, Anna, and Gangrel

[ HC’s + Chrom’s father! ]
[ WARNING: this gets long and has a ton of dark themes because, uh, Chrom’s father was a terrible guy....]
Chrom’s father’s name was King Briar; this was not his real name, but rather a name assigned to him by the general populace. It was a rhyming wordplay on “pyre”, because of the king’s penchant for burning Plegians and Grimleal at the stake. Also, funeral pyres were common in Ylisse thanks to his being an aggressor in war. King Briar went out of his way in instigating the neighboring Plegia into fighting with him
Briar did not value the demure and the weak, and would commonly send those who bemoaned the war into the front lines. Many of the villagers who objected to the war were placed with nary but a pitchfork to defend themselves. Those who survived this ordeal were promoted into soldiers, but few did.
Donnel’s father was one of the villagers who survived Briar’s unfair ordeal, but he was slain in war. Briar attended the funeral but forgot the man’s name when he was chosen to speak. The villagers pelted stones at him, but it is only thanks to his soldiers that he departed with few lasting scars.
Frederick served the king as a young squire, and people despised him for seemingly siding with the tyrant. The townsfolk cursed his name and threatened to excommunicate him for serving him. Briar, however, refused to smooth out the matter and simply told his people that they’d be considered Plegians if they continued protesting. Since everyone knew what happened to Plegians....
The real reason why Frederick remained in service was to protect the young Emmeryn, because he feared that the king’s policies would not spare his own daughter. On the sly, he slipped Emm a spellbook -- a fire tome -- and told her to try to learn its arts. If she showed combat prowess, she might garner favor with her father.
The reason why Frederick likes fire is because this fire tome was something he and Emm practiced with. A mage in the service of Ylisse was called forth  -- Miriel’s mother, a foremost scientist and an expert magic teacher. She taught Emm the basics of magic, and Briar, upon hearing of this, enlisted her in the army. He couldn’t care less of Miriel’s mother protesting that she was a scholar, not a fighter. She was forcibly enlisted and killed in combat. This is why Chrom and Miriel cannot support, because she knows this (and Chrom doesn’t) and she wouldn’t want to upset him by revealing what happened.
While Briar did NOT hit nor beat his children, he always spoke like they’d die at any second if they didn’t learn the tools of war. Lissa, barely a toddler, cried profusely because she did not want to hurt anyone. Her brother, Chrom, promised he’d be twice as strong as any of his father’s warriors to compensate for Lissa. Briar was especially hard on Chrom because of this.
While fire was the preferred method of killing Grimleal or Plegians, Briar couldn’t cared less as to how they were killed. He also routinely tortured captives for information on Plegia.
Briar hated Plegia so much because he took their worship of Grima seriously. He KNEW that, should they have been allowed to do as they please, they would resurrect the being of ruin. At that time, everyone thought Plegia to be a nation of fools; no one believed in Grima. They all thought Briar unnecessarily cruel for mounting his attacks on Plegia and butchering them as heathens.
Briar attempted to get Rosanne on his side, but to little avail. The house of Virion wanted nothing to do with a bloodbath. In retaliation, Briar sent his men to Valm and ordered them to overtake Rosanne. One of them was a young Walhart, who slowly became known as the fearsome conqueror. This is why Walhart tries to make Chrom understand his perspective -- his perspective was shared by Chrom’s father.
Briar attempted to win Ferox via violence, and it worked. They sided with him in the war against Plegia, seeing as Plegia and Ferox weren’t on friendly terms. Plegia had, in fact, mustered a death curse that killed a khan, which had spurred Ferox into retaliating against them on multiple occasions. Ferox needed no excuse to ally with the aggressor Ylisse.
Mercenaries were a common sight in the ranks of the Ylisse-Ferox army. The townsfolk hated them. At one point, a group of righteous thieves disguised their leader as Briar and smuggled into Plegia, posing as the king and begging for a treaty. The people of Ylisse were thrilled at this, but the thieves were exposed by the true king and killed at a pyre. Briar then accused PLEGIA of making a mockery of him by imitating and sentenced them to death.
The reason fire is so commonly used is due to the passage of Naga’s covenant stating that those worthy of the Falchion will be “tried by Naga’s flames”. This method of death was symbolic of Briar’s claims of doing what Naga would’ve wanted. The clergy hated him, too.
When Briar finally died of illness, word got around that his son, Chrom, had poisoned him. The people cheered for him. Chrom, young and confused by their cheers, tearfully confessed he did nothing of the sort. The people started yelling at him for being an idiot, because he should’ve done it. Frederick carried the sobbing prince away. Chrom still has nightmares about this.
In truth, the true person who killed him was Robin’s mother. She unleashed a death curse on Briar, because he intended to kill her child, Robin, under suspicion of Validar’s claims of Robin being Validar’s vessel. She killed him out of fear for her son’s life. She took this secret to her grave.

A Messy Family Time
A Laurent x Lucina + family(their children) by Aprilflowers on AOW
Since her responsibilities were increasing everyday Laurent had agreed to pause his research on what he explained was the comparative traits between dark magic and it’s supposed opposite healing magic.
The floor was decorated as well but instead of paint, there were toys everywhere. Play swords given from Owain, pointed hats from their father were hanging off a pile in the corner, and the collection of wooden soldiers each given by one of the father’s own soldiers were everywhere.
“You and papa don’t like me,” Samuel complains, freezing his mother.
Once more I found that I really enjoyed writing about the kids and their children. Just as with the Gerome+Noire and their child story I may write more for these characters. Since I have already begun on a second story for the former. Let me know what you all think of them.
