- I'm sorry. It's just that when people look at me, I get…nervous.
- Is that so? I have just the thing. Wait here! [...] I wrote my request down. That way you don't have to talk to me.
#fire emblem#fire emblem awakening#fe13#stahl#olivia fire emblem#aquanutart#made for a twitter prompt a few years ago#stahl being so understanding of olivia's social anxiety is terrific their supports are really sweet#i had a very difficult time deciding between stahl/olivia and stahl/cherche in my game. i went with stahl/cherche but i still question it#(it was because i have a soft spot for international friendship/cultural exchange. but i have one for understanding of social anxiety too)#i actually forgot who i paired olivia with which is terrible... it wasn't one of the popular options#ohhh i looked up her options and i think i remember now. it was unpopular but i thought it was sweet..#olivia/stahl is actually my favorite for her but stahl/cherche was my favorite for cherche and i think there were fewer for cherche i liked#revisiting these character designs after so long really has me like wow this gentleman is wearing an entire mechanical appliance#(someone in the tags is going to say 'op you can say toilet' i didn't see this honestly until the internet said it.. it's just... something#i am so glad i discovered it is actually possible to draw characters not constantly wearing 110 tons of armor#i say this and then continue to draw fe characters in armor at all times#well it looks difficult to get out of. it's probably easier to keep wearing it

Laurent, who chose to be like his mother in every way but one Conclusive evidence
These pages were originally for @fetranshub's FE trans week in 2020. They can be taken independently, if you would like to interpret Laurent in the second page differently from the first.
Several people over the years have also told me these are some of my most memorable comics, which makes me glad.

This comic did not originally get negative comments but#parenting is always a touchy subject for people. Regardless please don't leave character hate

I love the bath tent prompts (poor chrom) and im so curious what that would be like with a relatively chill guy like stahl?
(Let's get some fresh stories out to round out the new year, right? U V U )
Stahl was a gentle soul. Compassionate, patient, endlessly gracious. It was very difficult to upset him in any way. The only exceptions to that rule were when someone went after people he cared about; his family, friends, and so on.
Outside of battle, he was otherwise perfectly pleasant and cheerful. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.
But then he heard the shriek from across camp. He recognized the sound of your voice instantly, all but abandoning the freshly chopped firewood from the forest to help you.
What he found was not an assassin making an attempt on your life, but instead the Prince of Ylisse standing outside of the women’s bath tent. A bar of soap shot past his head, followed by the soap dish, and then an entire wooden bucket. And the one throwing those objects with a towel hastily wrapped around her torso…was his wife.
You were still within the bathing tent, so no one had seen you yet; only your husband, who was first to the scene. Neither you nor Chrom realized he was there until they heard the sound of a sword being drawn…and the temperature of the tent dropping by ten degrees.
“My, my…what do we have here?”
“S-Stahl?!” Chrom’s deep red face suddenly drained of all color, seeing an icy smile on your husband’s usually pleasant face.
He was brandishing a weapon directly at the poor prince, who was caught completely out of sorts. At the sound of his name, you gasped, dropping the larger bucket that you were preparing to vault into the prince’s face.
“Could you please explain why my wife’s throwing things at you…from the women’s bath tent?”
“I-it’s not what it looks like!!” Chrom managed, hands up in surrender when the weaponw as slowly drawn from its scabbard. “It was an accident, I swear!!”
“You know, they always say that-” He tilted his head, grinning, “And they’re always wrong.”
“Stahl!!”
To your husband’s surprise, you were suddenly standing between him and Chrom, the bucket having been clunked over the prince’s head before he could even blink.
As poor Chrom staggered backwards and landed on his ass, Stahl lowered his weapon with a confused frown.
“Robin?”
“H-he’s not lying, it was definitely an accident! I just freaked out because-”
“-Because a man snuck in while you were bathing?” Stahl interrupted you, taking the edge of your towel and carefully tightening it around your shoulders to cover you fully. Then he gently moved you aside and continued towards Chrom. “A man who is not only our commanding officer, but a member of the royal family?”
A small crowd was starting to form, having followed the panicked scream and searching for the source of the chaos. Seeing the mild-mannered Stahl preparing to behead the prince was becoming quite the spectacle.
“Stahl, what are you-”
“Ugh…Robin, what the hell was that??” Chrom lifted the bucket off his head, just in time to see Stahl towering over him. “Oh, gods.”
“Excuse me, milord.”
Shepherds gasped when Stahl grabbed Chrom’s shoulders, hands wrapped around the cape.
“Wait a second-”
Riiiiiip
“Robin, dear.” Stahl called to you in a sing-song voice, holding out Chrom’s cape. You could barely move, stunned by what just happened.
Unfazed, your husband returned to your side, promptly wrapping the fabric around you and covering you from head to toe. Then he turned back to the bewildered prince, whose sister and lieutenant were rushing to the poor, rattled prince.
Well, maybe not “poor”; he did just walk in on Stahl’s wife.
“The tactician and her husband will be returning to our tent. Please don’t disturb us unless it is absolutely necessary.” Stahl announced, and wrapped an arm around your shoulders to lead the two of you away from the now-clamoring crowd.
It was all you could do to push your legs forward, almost numb from the chaotic turn of events. One second everyone was screaming, the next Chrom was cape-less and you wre in the arms of your husband.
“Jarring” was an understatement.
Stahl ushered you into your shared tent without a word, a tight smile on his lips. He latched it shut with a few extra loops on the rope for good measure.
“Hmm…I think we need to tighten this up.” He murmured to himself, “Please, get dressed, Robin. I’m going to make sure no one can slip in.”
“S-Stahl…” You were sure you looked no less graceful than a gaping fish, trying to piece together your thoughts. He procured some rope from one of the traveling crates, laser-focused on keeping literally everyone else out. “Stahl, dear?”
“Mm?”
“Are you, um…are you okay?”
It was a short and cold bark of laughter that startled you. Stahl just shook his head, winding the rope with a bit more urgency.
“Oh, I don’t know about ‘okay’- I mean, Chrom walked in on you while you were bathing. You were vulnerable and unsuspecting, and Chrom saw you in a state of total undress. He should be thankful all I did was rip his cape off. I was sort of hoping his arm might’ve been caught in it.”
“Oh, dear.” You exhaled shakily. Stahl turned to look back at you, but his expression was far gentler than the tone of his voice suggested. He closed the short distance between you, slipping the cape from your shoulders with a tender touch.
“Please, get dressed. The last thing we need now is for you to catch a cold on top of everything else. I’ll help you dry your hair after.”
“Stahl-”
“Here.” He procured his nightshirt for you, pressing it into your hands. “I’ll go and get your clothes from the bathing tent once things have settled down.”
“Hey.” You reached up, pinching his cheek. His brow furrowed, trying to pull away from your fingers.
“Uh, what are you doing?”
“You’re not letting me talk.” You released him, taking the tunic from him. “I know you’re upset, but you’re starting to scare me a bit. I don’t know what’s going through your head.”
“I don’t think you’d like what’s going through my head.” He admitted, jaw clenched. “Besides, it doesn’t matter- you were the one who got walked in on!”
“But you’re the one silently plotting to murder Chrom!”
“I wasn’t going to murder him, maybe just…maim him.”
“Stahl…”
“Am I not allowed to be angry that your friend did that to you? Accident or not, that was wholly inappropriate- how could that have happened in the first place??”
“He’s a moron, Stahl. He’s a dear friend, and he’s smart in many ways, but somehow the steam in the bath tent didn’t alert him to his location. But it was not on purpose- I don’t think he would’ve let me hurl all that stuff at him if there was any more malicious intent behind his actions.”
“I’m glad to know that our crown prince is a buffoon.” There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice, “But it’s inexcusable!! You can’t blame me for wanting to do something about it!”
“I don’t blame you- of course I don’t.” You softened some, “But I’m the one he walked in on. And if I don’t want you to do anything to him, that should mean something.”
A heavy sigh escaped him, clearly unhappy with the fact you were right. Your feelings did take point on this; righteous indignation or no.
“I’m glad you’re upset for me, Stahl. It makes me happy to know that you’ve got my back. But I’m not…I’m not angry at Chrom. I’m just embarrassed. And that whole fiasco outside the bath tent just made it worse, because we gathered up an entire crowd of witnesses.”
Stahl’s gaze fell away, cast to the side. “...I’m sorry. I didn’t think about that. I just…I heard you scream and started running. I shouldn’t have confronted him out in the open like that, huh?”
“I don’t know, honey. You were just trying to protect me.” You said softer, stepping away from him to change.
Your husband may or may not have observed (respectfully) as the towel slipped, and you pulled the nightshirt over your body. You shivered softly, having little else to keep warm.
“But you do make a good point. I should’ve gotten you out of there before I even thought about going after Chrom. I just saw you, and saw him, and I…I don’t know, I just kind of snapped.”
You shrugged, fiddling with the laces on the collar of your shirt. “It’s okay. I mean, I don’t know that I could’ve done it different if I were in your shoes. If something like that happened to you, I probably would’ve launched at the person who walked in on you and asked questions later.”
Stahl blushed softly, biting the inside of his cheek to keep that stupid, giddy smile of his from appearing.
He slipped his hands between yours, taking care of tightening the laces for you.
“Well…it makes me happy to know you’d do that for me if the roles were reversed…even though I embarrassed you when I did it.”
“It’s okay. Your intervening isn’t what was upsetting, it was the whole mess. Gods, I don’t even want to think about facing the Shepherds who saw me like that…” You groaned, resting your head onhis chest with a soft thump.
Strong, limber arms wrapped around you, drawing you in as tightly as he could. He rested his chin atop damp hair. “I’m so sorry. That shouldn’t have happened to you at all.”
“Yeah…” You sighed, nuzzling into his warmth. The faintest of skipped heartbeats touched your ear, making you smile softly to yourself. “Thank you for protecting me, Stahl.”
“Don’t thank me for that.” He laughed bashfully, “I don’t think I was much help.”
“Come now; after the way you jumped into action like that, I’m sure the Shepherds will think twice before doing something foolish like Chrom did.”
“As they should.” He huffed, kissing the top of your head. “I don’t mess around when it comes to you.”
“Unless you’re messing around with me.” You grinned, looking up at him mischievously.
“Robin--” His spluttering led to your hands crawling up his tunic, tugging at the high collar around his neck.
“I mean, we’ve latched ourselves in here pretty tightly…and I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to come over here…and frankly, I’d like to forget about what just happened and would rather spend some quality time with my beloved husband, instead.”
“I-it’s mid-morning, Robin- not that I wouldn’t like to-”
"And I’m only wearing a nightshirt. Your nightshirt.” You reminded him, all but pressing yourself up against him.
“Well…a-are you sure? If you’d rather just be together, we don’t have to do anything.” He suggested gently, in spite of himself. Your hands wandered into his hair, pulling him into a much needed kiss.
Who was he to deny you?
The two of you would very quickly fall over each other trying to the bedroll, where you proceeded to make the most of your newfound alone time.
Of course, without fail, Chrom would head to your tent about half an hour later, to try and apologize for the horrific mishap from earlier (and maybe get his cape back).
It would take all of four seconds for him to realize what was going on and subsequently try to sprint as far from that tent as possible (lest he suffer the wrath of Stahl once again).
