Heyo~ Since the first season of Prichan is ending soon and i don't see any more development in the story other then winning the last competition, what is your favorite character so far? Or do you have a top ten or something lol, thank you in advance if you responding to me ~(^w^)~

Ahaha are there even 10 main characters to choose from in PriChan?

I guess if you count Oshama Tricks there are…. 

But anyway!!

When PriChan first started I was so sure I knew who my favorite character was going to be. Sara had so many of the tropes I tend to like in characters. Boyish girl (check), musician (check), has a notable weakness/flaw (her secret love for cute things, check)…. heck I even like the color green!! 

But… as time went on…. I didn’t quite find myself attaching to Sara as I expected I would. Instead, something unexpected started happening… right around the time the Kira Kira Memorial Live movie came out in May 2018…

Emo was not only the best part of that movie, but she basically had a HUGE impact on how I felt about the PriChan series as a whole. The first time I ever saw Suki Suki Sensor was in the theater, and whenever that happens it basically changes the song for me forever. There was like a specific moment when I was sitting in the theater watching Emo perform Suki Suki Sensor for the first time when I thought… y’know, PriChan’s gonna be OK. And what’s more, Emo and her movie performance of Suki Suki Sensor are connected to my favorite moment in the PriChan era so far. I went to a particular cheering show during the Rainbow Live course week, when people were just going ABSOLUTELY CRAZY during Emo’s song yelling YABAI MACHIGAENAI…. and it was just the most fun I have ever had with anything related to PriChan… even to this day. 

I’m pretty sure Emo has been my favorite ever since that one particular day… but… I was in denial about it for a long time….. Since she’s not the type of character I usually like! But that may be part of the problem? Sara may just somehow be too much tailor made for me? The only concrete reason I can come up with for why I seem to like Emo so much more is just that…. she makes me smile. But maybe that’s enough. 

I think the moment when I finally admitted Emo was my real favorite was when I was at the Pretty Live concert in December 2018. I opened the badges I bought. I found that I got Naru. Awesome! One of my favorite characters from the Pretty Rhythm era and the badge I wanted the most. I didn’t care about my PriPara era results since my favorite is Hibiki and she wasn’t included. But for PriChan I got Sara…. great. Right…. RIGHT?

….No. 

The more I thought about it. The more I wished I had gotten Emo instead. 

And that’s when I finally realized. Emo is my number 1. 

Another PriChan character I really like but didn’t expect myself to like is…. Anju. Because I like characters with flaws, right?! And ain’t she the opposite of that? I wish she had a bit more character development…. but….. but…………..

But just…. the first time I ever heard Fortune Carat I cried because I liked it so much. 

Then I cried again like an hour later just remembering it existed. 

So. I can’t ignore that.

And here is my top 3:1. Emo2. Sara3. Anju

I refuse to do more than a top 3 because I really do like everyone else and I don’t want to rank anyone last and be asked why I ranked them last. Even Mirai, who I actually disliked at first since I thought she was bland. But she grew on me! Something about her pure self and how she just tries so hard is endearing. Besides, seeing her VA at the Pretty Live concert had a huge influence on me as well. She is only 16 years old and she is doing her damn best you better believe it!!!!

Watch "Kiratto Pri☆Chan: Hello!! Pri☆Chan World!" Live Digest Movie with English Description

    As part of the tenth-anniversary project for the Pretty anime series, "Hello! Pri☆Chan World," a no-audience live concert by the voice actresses from its latest installment Kiratto Pri☆Chan, was live-streamed on July 18, 2020.

  The main voice cast members from the TV anime's second season gathered at their first solo concert to perform the character songs featured in the story. They have performed in several live concerts since the franchise's launch in April 2018, but all of them were crossover events with the same Pretty series' previous installment PriPara.  

   Thankfully, avex pictures' official YouTube channel has started streaming a 13-minute digest movie of the concert with the English description. Check out their cheerful performance on the stage!

Another proof Sara loves Mirai

Okay, I’m sure by now, you have understood. L love Mirasara, and it pain me that almost nobody saw their potential as a couple. I have post moment ago some pictures from episode 73. And I will continue with the same episode.

So, Sara is in a slump, and cannot write a good song in this episode. Mirai cheers her up in the beginning, and push her to try the advertising work. And thank to Nijinosaki Daia, she understand that she was too focused in one colore shade, and that she have to oversee all the color. In fine, she overcome her slump, and the advertising start :

We first see her in a dress with her character color, green, like at the forts try. She’s cool, calm, and speak with a certain elegance. She’s sure beautiful like this. But she doesn’t have her signature guitar, with her.

Then she changed for Anna color. We understand, she’s her best friend and member of the same idol group. So it logical to have Anna’ red after.

Then we Emo’s color, yellow and light blue, with the signature pompom. In my opinion, it a tentative to put some Emo/Anna couple time more in this episode, after some scenes before. 

Then we have Rinka, then Mel, then Maria and Suzu colors. (Sorry we can see my screenshot in some pictures 😅)

I can understand why they put Mel after Rinka, to close the cercle of the six friends. But why don’t we have Mira after Mel ? It’s only logical to finish with Meltic and Kiratts before having Ring Marry, no ?

Sara choose to finish with Mirai color, and more over, associate Mirai’s color with her signature color. It like combining Sara coolness and Mirai loveliness together. Like putting an official Mirasara.

So even if they will not go out in the anime, and I don’t understand why they didn't do more than hints in Pripara and Prichan, in all honesty. All the previous Pretty Series had at least one love interest. I stay persuaded that Sara and Mirai have feelings for the other. Like it too obvious to past next to it, like for the Emonna ship, or the Marisuzu one.

What your thoughts about it ?

This is some picture from episode 73 of Kiratto. I love this episode because we can clearly see the relationship between Mirai and Sara.

In this episode, Sara is troubled because she can’t write a good song. Nobody see it apart for Mirai.

In the first picture, Sara smiled when she saw that Mirai had followed her to ask her what’s wrong. Do you see her smile ? It’s full tenderness and sweetness. She’s actually very happy to have Mirai with her. Her face is illuminated. It’s a face fully calmed. 💚

The third is them speaking about what was wrong.

The fourth is Sara’s smile after Mirai told her that everything will be okay. I have never seen something more sweet. That sort of smile is the one you reserve for someone you really like. And personally, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I have never seen Sara smiling like that for anybody else.

The last four is when Sara is proposed to make that ad for the prestigious make-up brand. At first, she’s very unsure. She’s in a slump, she doesn’t know how to overcome it. But she search for Mirai’s eyes, who smiled at her, to cheer her up, and tell her that everything will be fine. 💝

Sara smile back, like to say okay, and thank you, and then accept the contract.

That faculty to speak only with the eyes is not something anyone can do, and frankly, I have only see that from best friends and lovers. And with all the previous clues, we can say that the relationships is a little bit more than friends.

Kiratto PriChan 10

Sara totally grabbed Mirai first because she could tell both Anna and Emo could benefit from some time alone, but neither would be able to ask. 

So we learned a little bit more about the PriChan universe in this episode. It turns out there are PriChan “gyms” where PriChan idols go through some pretty harsh training. 

Anna gives Emo this whole long pep talk where she very sneakily, indirectly admits that she’s cheering for Emo. And WONT YOU KNOW IT that’s the breaking point that makes Emo want to start training ahah.

Man I... do not think those coords work for Play Sound. But oh well, I still think it’s cute that Sara and Anna share their brands. Also I LOVE the Dolly Waltz yattemita. I love knowing that Anna plays piano.  

Anna in general in this episode was really.... really good.

I thought next week’s episode was going to be about the upcoming tournament, but instead they are filming a special? I am not sure. Maybe it’s both.

Kiratto PriChan 6

I was really looking forward to this episode and totally expecting to like it. And... I did!!

The plot: Emo is always cheering her brother Shunta on at his baseball games, but it embarrasses him. They have a fight in which he tells her not to come to his big game, so she doesn’t. The girls were planning a cheering program, but with that cancelled they try cooking instead. It’s obvious Emo’s heart isn’t in it though and in the end she broadcasts a special cheering video for her brother after all, who has come to realized that he appreciates her cheering and wins the game. 

Now that Emo’s solo was FINALLY in the anime (....only been a week since it debuted in the Kira Kira Memorial Live movie but....)  I can now identify the exact frame when I decided that you know what I kinda like PriChan and maybe things were going to be OK.

EMOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIII! I like this song even more now knowing she was singing for her brother (aww).. 

Although I stated very clearly that Sara was my favorite, I’m beginning to develop quite an attachment to Emo. So. I have to say. Right now she’s my true favorite! (Until Sara debuts. Probably. Well. We’ll see.)

Okay so, random comments... 

Ooh Emo talked about Girls Yell. Did they acknowledge specific brands before? I don’t remember. I wonder if these brands are only for PriChan idols or just general clothing store brands..

They have actually been pretty good with keeping the performances fairly realistic? (Unlike in PriPara when all they needed was a song transferred to their phone toy and they knew it. But being a virtual world I accepted it.) For Ready Action it was supposedly a song Mirai and Emo practiced a long time ago? Mirai’s One Two Sweets was a song that existed and Mirai wrote the lyrics, and... not sure where Emo’s Suki Suki Sensor came from but she was practicing it before her performance. I wonder if they will keep this up. 

It’s not a Pri anime series without someone telling someone to “go to hell.”

Anna acted like she didn’t know Emo’s brother and called the best little leaguers from overseas because she just “wanted to win” but WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH. (She is the master of creating situations where she gets to see Emo more and more.) 

Next week: CATS!? ....Emo is afraid of cats on nooooooooooo.

Junichi Suwabe-voiced Meganii Returns in Kiratto Pri☆Chan Third Season

    Another familiar face finally returns in the Pretty series. The official website for the TV anime Kiratto Pri☆Chan has announced that Suwabe Junichi is confirmed to reprise his popular role as Meganii in its forthcoming third season.

  The character served as a manager of the Pripara town in the previous series PriPara and Idol Time PriPara. But unlike Meganee voiced by Kanae Ito, he has not appeared in the first two seasons of the ongoing series Kiratto Pri☆Chan. In the upcoming third season, Kira-juku, where Mirai and other main characters live, is turned into "Pri☆Chan Land," a VR (Virtual Reality) amusement park, and Neganii will appear as the cast master who serves as the guide of the park.

  Alice: Fairouz Ai (Hibiki Sakura in How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?)

 - A cheerful girl working part-time as a cast at Puri☆Chan Land. She grew up in a circus group and traveled around the world. When Puri☆Chan Land opened, she came to Kira-juku.

Soruru: Mistuki Saiga (Hibiki Shikyouin in PriPara)

 - Alice's mascot. She talks like a boy and looks blunt at first glance, but she gently watches over Alice.

Eve: Maria Sashide (Mai Inose in Asteroid in Love)

 - A quiet girl who is the president of Kagayaki Corporation. She is also the general manager of Puri☆Chan Land" which opens in Kira-shuku.

Luluna: Hibiku Yamamura (Kirara Amanogawa/Cure Twinkle in Go! Princess PreCure)

 - Eve's mascot. She always stands by Eve and supports her like a secretary. She has quiet and serious personality.

    In the highly-anticipated third season, the idols will participate in the "Princess Cup," a competition to choose the next generation top Pri☆chan idols. Using a new item "PritamaGo" to train their mascots, Mirai and other idols will work together to win the tournament and to become the "Illuminage Queen."
