sara fails to understand why spring is hailed as the gentlest of the seasons when it is winter that recedes passively after all her work is undone. snow and frost spills over the endless landscape and even the stars are frozen in place, whispering their light to those below. it’s a waste, she decides, to be cooped up inside on a night like this. the winter festival is a celebration of sorts - the very kind that she would not be permitted to celebrate only a few years ago. she wants to share the moment and the peace - rare and splendid thing - it heralds so clearly it can be felt as if the world may never again be so still. in her dreams she cannot conjure such scenes because she has nothing to fill the gaps in reality, but sara is no longer confined to her imagination. when she pushes forward, the dark door will budge out of respect for her will and lead to the person she wishes to see. there is no lock save for their own inclinations to hold either of them prisoner.

“come with me, miranda” she announces in a tone imbued with conspiratorial urgency.

from the other side of the threshold, her silhouette retreats to the hallway and then down the ice-flecked steps that overlook garegg mach’s decorated courtyard. the light-bearing evergreens and shrubs have come alive under the veil of dusk and shine as fiercely as any magic. sara braves the cold with a lone blanket wrapped about her, stopping just before the largest tree in the vicinity and shivering all the while.

"i wanted you to see the lights." it's half-true. there might be more to it than that, she thinks. her eyes have unwittingly wandered from the display itself to miranda for some reason. "i suppose i wanted to see them - with you. before in melfiye, i wanted to show you many more things. you were so gloomy back then. i've always wondered what it would take for you to really smile from your heart. you have your freedom now and i want to take you to places that make your heart happy. i can hear it underneath the tempest - a passionate wind-song like a whistle."

There is only one person who would visit Miranda's room so late in the night, only one person who would waltz right into her room without reservation. And because it's that person, Miranda gets up from her desk where remnants of paperwork remain and slides on slippers, muttering something about 'knowing what time it is'. But even still, she follows.

Because it's Sara.

"Yes, yes, I'm coming," she sighs, wrapping her shawl closer.

It really is too damn cold here, especially at night. Even just stepping out of her room into the hallway, water vapor gathers at Miranda's mouth, then disperses into the frigid night air.

The sight that Sara is so desperate to show her is the shrubbery, all lit up for the Winter Festival. The colorful lights contrast with the dark green of the foliage and reflect off the light dusting of snow, sending refractions of color everywhere. It's a sight she has not seen in person since her parents were still alive. Even in recent years, she had declined all offers to take a look at the decorations around Ulster Castle, claiming to be too busy.

Then Sara reveals the reason she has brought her here and she sputters: "Gloomy?! I'll have you know I was a political hostage—I had every right to be upset! It wasn't like I was there on vacation!"

But she's right, like she always is. She has her freedom now, has had it for a few years now, even, and she still acts like like nothing's changed. Try as she might, she can't shake the feeling that everything will collapse around her once again. That if she relaxes even slightly, she'll be back in that dark room.

Miranda closes her eyes, hoping it will stop the tears that threaten to fall. There aren't many people concerned with whether or not Ulster's only princess is happy, even less concerned if the girl is able to smile from the heart.

But Sara is different.

"I...see. Show me as many things as you wish, then."

Miranda slides off her shawl and fixes it around Sara's shoulders, hoping her sniffles sound like they're just from the cold.

"Ahem. Here. I'm freezing just looking at you. I can use my fire magic, but you look like you'll catch a cold."

Oooh! Do Yuri on Ice!!! I mean, I know your fave character already I'm pretty sure (it's JJ style!) But I don't think I know a lot of the other stuff!

How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom: All the people I was following suddenly got into it as soon as it started airing, and it was ALL OVER my dash. The opening especially, in those first few weeks. And after seeing so much praise for it and hearing about how gay it was, I decided to give it a try some time after the third episode aired, and I absolutely ADORED it. Although, the fandom was really really insufferable for those first few weeks because, if any of y’all were in the fandom at the time as well, you’ll remember everyone was going through the “Viktor is using Yuuri” and the “Viktor is dying” and “Viktor is so selfish and a horrible person” phases. I hated going in the yoi tag at the time :/ Thank god that stopped around episode…5 or so?

Fave character: JEAN-JACQUES LEROY.

There’s a reason I tag him as the king of my heart XD He’s so sweet and pure and he donates to charity and he adores his fiancée and his country and HE JUST WANTS FRIENDS LET MY BOY BE HAPPY.

Least fave character: Now that is definitely a tough one. All the characters in YOI are so awesome OAO Although in the end, I guess I’ll have to say Georgi. He was a real creeper, with the way he wouldn’t leave Anya alone even though she was clearly not interested in him. You could even see in all the “kissy photos” of them Georgi posted on instagram that she was very uncomfortable and unhappy in the relationship. And the part where he said that he would kiss her even if she didn’t want him to? Yikes.

OTP(s): Victuuri and Jeanbella are my top two :3

Though I also like seungchuchu, emimike, mirasara, otamila, leoguang, and, if I’m in the right mood for it and it’s written well, I’m down for phictuuri (though generally I prefer Phichit and Yuuri as platonic). I don’t particularly ship Otayuri, but if they’re aged way up and written really well, I can be okay with it.

Pairing that everyone likes but I don’t get: Pliroy and Victuurio are absolutely vile. Also, basically anything else that ships Yura with anyone older than JJ. I’m okay with otayuri and plinami if they’re aged up I guess, but I personally don’t really ship it.

Fave thing about the fandom: The fact that everyone agrees that Viktor is the most extra bitch ever and that he and Yuuri are disgustingly adorable and in love at all hours of the day. And the fact that Viktor literally thinks Yuuri is the greatest thing since sliced bread and is probably Confused at people who don’t agree.

The most despised thing: ALL THE JJ HATE. WHY IS EVERYONE SO MEAN TO HIM? He’s trying his best. Just leave him be.

If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be: I mean, I’m sure no one is surprised, but I would make it so that the other skaters weren’t so mean to JJ. The anxiety attack he had in episode 11, while absolutely heartwrenching, I feel was a necessary part of his character development, and a great parallel to Yuuri’s failure at the beginning of the series, so I would keep that in. But I think it would be nice to see the other skaters not ostracize him - to see them invite him to dinner in episode 10, or to see them comfort him after episode 11, or something.

I mean…they put up with Yura, and JJ isn’t half as bad, right? So why the double standards?

Another proof Sara loves Mirai

Okay, I’m sure by now, you have understood. L love Mirasara, and it pain me that almost nobody saw their potential as a couple. I have post moment ago some pictures from episode 73. And I will continue with the same episode.

So, Sara is in a slump, and cannot write a good song in this episode. Mirai cheers her up in the beginning, and push her to try the advertising work. And thank to Nijinosaki Daia, she understand that she was too focused in one colore shade, and that she have to oversee all the color. In fine, she overcome her slump, and the advertising start :

We first see her in a dress with her character color, green, like at the forts try. She’s cool, calm, and speak with a certain elegance. She’s sure beautiful like this. But she doesn’t have her signature guitar, with her.

Then she changed for Anna color. We understand, she’s her best friend and member of the same idol group. So it logical to have Anna’ red after.

Then we Emo’s color, yellow and light blue, with the signature pompom. In my opinion, it a tentative to put some Emo/Anna couple time more in this episode, after some scenes before. 

Then we have Rinka, then Mel, then Maria and Suzu colors. (Sorry we can see my screenshot in some pictures 😅)

I can understand why they put Mel after Rinka, to close the cercle of the six friends. But why don’t we have Mira after Mel ? It’s only logical to finish with Meltic and Kiratts before having Ring Marry, no ?

Sara choose to finish with Mirai color, and more over, associate Mirai’s color with her signature color. It like combining Sara coolness and Mirai loveliness together. Like putting an official Mirasara.

So even if they will not go out in the anime, and I don’t understand why they didn't do more than hints in Pripara and Prichan, in all honesty. All the previous Pretty Series had at least one love interest. I stay persuaded that Sara and Mirai have feelings for the other. Like it too obvious to past next to it, like for the Emonna ship, or the Marisuzu one.
