[Image description: Found poetry featuring a compilation of photographs of Finnish goalies in net. It is a physical artwork. Poem as follows:
"I'm hearing the Earth simmer and boil and seathe
Tension, a stretched rubber band.
we see the crash better than anyone else."
End poem. Description in full below the cut.
Image one: San Jose Sharks' Jarmo Myllys, bent low in the crease as if bracing for impact. Following the slope of his hunched back and the curl of his arm reads: "I'm hearing the Earth simmer and boil and seathe."
Image two: Minnesota North Stars' Kari Takko stands with his side to the camera. His helmet is patterned with stars whose outlines echo across its surface in stark lines. Down his arm reads: "Tension, a stretched rubber band."
Image three: New Jersey Devils' Hannu Kamppuri is down on a knee, arms thrown out, at the side of a net against a player in front. Through the bars of his cage, his eyes shine. Following the curve of the netting behind him: "we see the crash better than," and then, crashing in with the hockey stick in front of him: "anyone else."
End description.]

Dino Ciccarelli Rookie Card (Minnesota North Stars)
Dino Ciccarelli's rookie playoff performance in the 1980-81 NHL season remains unmatched to this day. Despite only playing 32 regular season games, he scored 14 goals, had 7 assists, and earned 21 points over 19 games in the post season. Jake Guentzel tied the points record in the 2016-17 season, but played six more games.
The Minnesota North Stars reached the Stanley Cup final that season, beating the odds by sweeping the Boston Bruins, then ousting the Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames, before losing to the New York Islanders in five games. Steve Payne was the top scorer with 17 goals and 29 points, while Bobby Smith trailed closely with 25 points.
The following season, in 1981-82, Ciccarelli had an incredible year, scoring 55 goals and assisting on 51 for 106 points. He finished fourth in the NHL for goal scoring, trailing behind Wayne Gretzky, Mike Bossy, and Dennis Maruk. Ciccarelli also tied for ninth in the Art Ross Trophy race with Dave Taylor of the Los Angeles Kings.
Prior to his career in the NHL, Ciccarelli was a top scorer in the OHL. In the 1977-78 season, he led the league with 72 goals for the London Knights, surpassing Wayne Gretzky's total for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds by two goals. Although he finished third in overall scoring with 142 points, he trailed 50 points behind Bobby Smith of the Ottawa 67's.
Ciccarelli played a total of 1,232 regular season and 141 playoff games for various teams including the North Stars, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Florida Panthers between 1980-81 and 1998-99. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010, and his jersey number 8 was retired by the London Knights.
