So the Republicans are trying to shut down the government to damage their own states so that they make the Democrats look bad before the election… Is that the game plan they’re going with?
Here is the full list of Republicans who voted against the stopgap bill to prevent a government shutdown in September 2024:
Indiana: James R. Baird, Jim Banks, Rudy Yakym III, Victoria Spartz
Ohio: Troy Balderson, Warren Davidson, Jim Jordan, Max L. Miller
Florida: Aaron Bean, Gus M. Bilirakis, Kat Cammack, Byron Donalds, Matt Gaetz, Anna Paulina Luna, Cory Mills, Bill Posey, Michael Waltz, Daniel Webster
Texas: Michael Cloud, Tony Gonzales, Lance Gooden, Morgan Luttrell, Nathaniel Moran, Chip Roy, Keith Self, Randy Weber Sr., Beth Van Duyne, Roger Williams
Arizona: Andy Biggs, Elijah Crane, Paul A. Gosar, Debbie Lesko, David Schweikert
North Carolina: Dan Bishop
Colorado: Lauren Boebert
Illinois: Mike Bost, Mary E. Miller, Darin LaHood

Why is this important to me? I would have been out of a job. Government contractors would rather cut you and rehire you for less pay or benefits. Also, if I miss 1 or 2 paychecks I will be homeless.

23 Republican Senators & 124 Congressmen signed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking for a 50 state ban on mifepristone, a drug safer than tylenol that is standard treatment for abortion & miscarriages, "due to safety concerns". The brief DARES to argue that banning the life saving drug would save women from 'reproductive control'. (x) These 147 people would rather have women die of sepsis than let women control their own bodies. If your representatives are on this list, call them and tell their office you will be voting against them in the next election because they asked SCOTUS to throw the US medical drug system into chaos at the cost of American lives.

As others have said, this is now believed to have been an action by Elon Musk's team of handpicked fuckboys.
Do go ahead and comment on the NPS's feedback form, but keep in mind as you write that you are not confronting an enemy; you're supplying encouragement and ammunition for an ally to take on the actual culprit.
In addition, the relevant oversight committees for the National Part Service are the Committee on Natural Resources in the House, and Energy and Natural Resources in the Senate. They would also be in a position to do or say something about this significant, yet also weird and petty, overreach by the Trumpelon administration.
The House Committee on Natural Resources includes the following Democrats:
Jared Huffman, California, Ranking Member
Raúl Grijalva, Arizona, Ranking Member Emeritus
Joe Neguse, Colorado
Teresa Leger Fernandez, New Mexico
Melanie Stansbury, New Mexico
Val Hoyle, Oregon
Seth Magaziner, Rhode Island
Jared Golden, Maine
Dave Min, California
Maxine Dexter, Oregon
Pablo Hernández Rivera, Puerto Rico
Emily Randall, Washington
Yassamin Ansari, Arizona
Sarah Elfreth, Maryland, Vice Ranking Member[5]
Adam Gray, California
Luz Rivas, California
Nydia Velázquez, New York
Debbie Dingell, Michigan
Darren Soto, Florida
Julia Brownley, California;
And the following Republicans:
Bruce Westerman, Arkansas, Chair
Rob Wittman, Virginia, Vice Chair[4]
Tom McClintock, California
Paul Gosar, Arizona
Amata Coleman Radewagen, American Samoa
Doug LaMalfa, California
Daniel Webster, Florida
Russ Fulcher, Idaho

Addison McDowell, North Carolina
Jeff Crank, Colorado
Nick Begich III, Alaska
Jeff Hurd, Colorado
Mike Kennedy, Utah
These links go to their Wikipedia pages (because that's where I copied the list from); go here to get links to their House.gov pages, which include their contact forms.
Contact info for the Republican part of the committee as a group is here, and for the Democrats is here.
The Senate Committee on Energy and National Resources has the following Democrats:
Martin Heinrich - Ranking, New Mexico
Ron Wyden - Oregon
Maria Cantwell - Washington
Mazie K. Hirono - Hawaii
Angus S. King, Jr. - Maine
Catherine Cortez Masto - Nevada
John W. Hickenlooper - Colorado
Alex Padilla - California
Ruben Gallego - Arizona
And the following Republicans:
Mike Lee - Chairman, Utah
John Barrasso - Wyoming
James E. Risch - Idaho
Steve Daines - Montana
Tom Cotton - Arkansas
Jim Justice - West Virginia
David H. McCormick - Pennsylvania
Bill Cassidy - Louisiana
Cindy Hyde-Smith - Mississippi
Lisa Murkowski - Alaska
John Hoeven - North Dakota
See here for links to their Senate.gov pages & contact forms.
The phone number for the committee's front office--shared by both the Majority and Minority--is 202-224-4971. Their FAQ says that there is an email link for this office on their homepage, but I am having trouble finding it.
There is a fax number, (202) 224-6163, and the mailing address is
Energy and Natural Resources Committee Office 304 Dirksen Senate Building Washington, DC 20510
(Also I think it would be 100% hilarious if a few people who live locally to the Stonewall National Monument use the Volunteer Form to offer to hang around and shout "and trans!" at appropriate moments during tours and presentations, when actual employees are not permitted to say it.)

Not to be dramatic but this is a massive fucking deal and I legitimately hope every single politician dies.

House punts on Mayorkas impeachment
It's not the end of the road, however, as the Homeland Security Committee moves forward on its investigation into the Homeland Security secretary.
JORDAIN CARNEY
11/13/2023, 7:44PM ETUPDATED: 11/13/2023, 8:20PM ET
A small number of House Republicans sided with Democrats in moving to punt an effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) filed the motion last week, leapfrogging Republican leadership to force the vote. It threw newly elected Speaker Mike Johnson into a messy debate that fires up a disgruntled party base but doesn’t unite his razor-thin majority.
A total of eight Republicans voted with Democrats on Monday night to send Greene’s resolution to committee, effectively pigeonholing it for now.
While Johnson has said he supports what would be a historically rare impeachment for a Cabinet official, he’s also having to contend with a coalition of frontliners, old-school conservatives and governing-minded pragmatists who aren’t yet sold that Mayorkas has actually committed an impeachable offense.
GOP Reps. Cliff Bentz (Ore.), Ken Buck (Colo.), John Duarte (Calif.), Virginia Foxx (N.C.), Darrell Issa (Calif.), Tom McClintock (Calif.), Patrick McHenry (N.C.) and Mike Turner (Ohio) voted with Democrats to refer to the resolution to committee

The sad thing is some Democrats are taking part in small parts of it.
youtube
The House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday that would empower the Treasury Department to revoke the tax-exempt status of any nonprofit it deems has provided material support to a terrorist organization. A broad coalition of civil society groups have opposed the bill, warning that it would give the Trump administration sweeping powers to crack down on political opponents. H.R. 9495, the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, passed the House 219 to 184 largely along party lines, with 15 Democrats supporting the Republican majority. "This bill is essentially a civil rights disaster," says Darryl Li, an anthropologist, lawyer and legal scholar teaching at the University of Chicago. Li, who recently wrote a briefing paper on the anti-Palestinian origins of U.S. terrorism law, says "anti-Palestinian racism is one of the great bipartisan unifiers in Congress." - @DemocracyNow
