thinking about misa and her love. thinking about the tragedy of dying for a love that was never real. thinking about the tragedy of no-one ever really loving you enough to save you from the end of yourself.

thinking about mikami. thinking about the tragedy of worship. thinking about the tragedy of a shattered belief, one that you've clung on to for so long it becomes your sanity.

thinking about matsuda. thinking about the tragedy of being pushed over, again and again---trampled by everyone better than you. thinking about the tragedy of killing someone whom you watched grow up, whom you trusted with your life, whom you stood up for till the very bitter end.

I tried my hand at making some of these

many juicy mikami details to be had from these frames and my faves are:

1. That is an expensive gym. Every weight is where it needs to be and the equipment looks well maintained.

2. Low weight on the chest press (50-80 lbs) prob because he has no spotter. also that means he is able to carry double his weight, go Mikami!!

3. Wearing glasses during a workout makes me believe his glasses are expensive and well fitted and very light.

4. Mikami's anime gym outfit makes more sense. Black is easier to keep clean and doesn't show sweat. The white is cute and contrasts nicely with the bg, but I think the all black fits his personality more.

5. Good form on each exercise. I wonder if he got a trainer or just observed and learned.

6. Surprisingly no water?? Makes me think he does high intensity workouts to shorten his gym time, but damn.

7. No gloves so either his hands are calloused or he doesn't use the barbell often.

8. Only arm focused workouts?? i am choosing to believe he does have a full body routine throughout the week.

9. The hint of pecs hehehe Ohba wtf show us the moobs (mikami boobs)

10. No clothes in his locker so I am assuming he doesn't easily break a sweat, which only makes me believe he is not good at hydrating himself (see #6)

If we're drawing chess analogy from Death Note

Light is the white king simply because he begins the story. L is the black king who retaliates.

Amane Misa is the white queen, hella powerful. Misora Naomi is the black queen, keystone of L's wage gone too soon.

Takada Kiyomi starts out as a pawn promoted into the second white queen once Misa is put out of commission. Mikami Teru is the bishop, can move quickly across the board and threaten the opposition but predictable and can end up in vulnerable positions (also worships the white king like god).

On L's side, Mello is the knight - unpredictable, jumps over other pieces, easily switches between black and white squares. Near is the rook, for much of the match, the rook remains in its station, but when rolled out in critical moments, can be absolutely devastating for the opponent. (And personally I really like to corner my opponent with the rooks so ...)
