Watched this because of the lure of Go Kyung Pyo playing an evil serial killer, however enjoyed this cat-and-mouse game played between these two morally different characters. Also, bonus, this was directed by the master Takeshi Miike, so effects, storyline, and cinematography were on point.

On one hand yet, yeah, it's for showing off the iPhone's camera (they ARE really great), on the other hand, it's freakin Tezuka directed by TAKASHI MIIKE, c'mon. It's off-the-wall insane and awesome as a Tezuka manga can be, but so dang stylish and cool and I really like the girl he helps. Midnight is similar to Black Jack, except instead of a patient-a-day stories with a crazy cool doctor, it's rider-a-day stories with a crazy cool taxi driver with an impossibly tricked-out car. Enjoy!

The film was directed by Takashi Miike.

In the film, a mysterious taxi driver (Midnight) lends a hand to Kaede, a young girl chased by assassins.

Osamu Tezuka's Midnight manga ran in two parts: Part 1 ran from May 2, 1986 to June 12, 1987, and Part 2 ran from July 10, 1987 to September 18, 1987.
