The first version of my babies

I need to keep improving it but I am very proud of this first version of my OCs. I started to draw two months ago with a lot of fear, drawing was one of the skills that I thought I couldn't learn. Life is a lot of fun when you stop limiting yourself based on whether you're good or not.

Maybe I'll never be good at drawing but I'll be better.

Today I want to take the opportunity to quote one of my favourite discworld novels 'I shall wear midnight':

As always Sir Terry Pratchett managed to create a beautiful metaphor for life's distressing and confusing ways. The metaphor is of course open to many interpretations, but for this beautiful solstice I want to give it my own.

Today I am the hare and the coming month ist the fire. For the people who haven't read the book jet, the hares trick is to move through the fire so swiftly that she can not be burnt by it. So that's what I will do.

If life gives you fire, don't run away, run right into it and don't stop moving until you reach the other side. (metaphorically speaking of course)

Me and my friends are all in a very difficult phase right now, it is less than a month until our bachelor's exam. The coming weeks will be intense, but I am ready to jump into it and not stop moving until it's over. And by jumping through the fire together we might also be bound forever, as it is an old mariage tradition.

The Silt Verses my absolute beloved: I'm relistening and was so excited to get back to Chapter 17, and the way that most of the episode just sweeps over you with an unexpected degree of kindness. Important to be reminded that kindness — or something like it — is possible, even in this brutal world.

Hey remember that dog I took care of for a few weeks last year before I got caught by building management and had to give her up?

Well her owner needed to rehome her for good, and I got my therapist to write a letter recommending Maggie as a therapy dog to help with my ADHD. The dream team is back together!

I guess that I'm gonna talk about the character I was writing about just now, Atticus Leonardo Santoro, sixteen-year-old lord vampire.

I wanted to do my version of vampires. The most significant difference is that they have two hearts, the second one under the solar plexor. This heart is which absorbs the blood from the stomach and sends it to the normal heart. They need to do all this process because their blood evaporates at high speed, especially under the sun. But, they can do the rest of the human functions like reproduction (although it usually doesn't turn out well)

Ritual Of Love - Shasta/Georgina Stanton

Ritual. The word still drags shudders from Georgina Stanton. It probably always will. She’s quiet as she watches this one, of course, Shasta’s newest ritual. Tea and calming music. Harmless… but still she wonders if the girl misses her older rituals. Shasta at peace is a wonder to behold even as she lets her mind wander, moving to change her own clothing from working in her office to rest, her smile soft when she settles beside Shasta, soft fingers trailing through soft hair. They’ve been through a lot, healing one more time, but she will never give Shasta up without a fight.
