Vedic/Sidereal Astrology musings
Topic: Saturn Darakaraka
Saturn darakaraka leads to partnerships based on stability. This could mean partnerships based on financial/career stability or partnerships that are mutually beneficial to both parties. For example, dating as a form of networking or marrying someone for the purpose of carrying on the family lineage. This DOES NOT mean that they won’t marry someone they love this just means that for them love aligns more with safety and security in a relationship versus unpredictability, eccentricities or high sexual attraction. Someone with Saturn Darakaraka will choose a partner with a career and good social standing over the typical hot bad boy with a bad reputation.
Very much like The Vampire Diaries character Katherine Pierce, Saturn Darakaraka people want the loyal, good guy with the upstanding character for long term relationships. A Saturn darakaraka person would pick Elijah over Klaus, Stefan over Damon or Elena over Katherine when it comes to marriage. Casual dating and hookups are completely different.
Tumblr media
The significant other of someone with a Saturn darakaraka is someone who chooses duty, responsibilities, status, and honor. They do not like to be disrespected and they will not tolerate their personal business becoming public knowledge.
The significant other of a Saturn darakaraka person may resemble people who have a Saturn atmakaraka. Examples include Kate Middleton and Prince William who both have a Saturn atmakaraka. If you have a Saturn darakaraka physically your partners may tend to be very pale or a darker grayish complexion, dark hair or dark features, thin, their resting face may not be very inviting, possibly prominent teeth, either very strong or weak bones (for example bad knees), and/or they tend to look better with age.
Tumblr media
Also a Saturn darakaraka can bring a late marriage or an early marriage that emphasizes security.
Disclaimer: Darakaraka also depends on the zodiac sign and the nakshatra the planet is placed in. For example, someone with a Saturn darakaraka placed in Aries krittika will have different partnerships than someone with a Saturn darakaraka placed in rohini or even Taurus krittika. The house placement is also very important.
If anyone has any comments, corrections or questions let me know.

@astrojaimini This is what I was able to remember off the top of my head but at some point I will probably make another post to go more in depth.

A Year in Review: All the times Meghan Markle been publicly called out in 2023. Highlights and favorite #MarkleMoment from last year? 📌Part 2 of 2
These are her humiliating moments over past year that she’s been publicly called out for in some way. All with proof, all archived from media reports around the world. Get cozy, save this post, and as always, appreciate the upvotes so it doesn't get targeted for downvotes! Posting it now as many of us will be celebrating Christmas with our loved ones. Although we are a diverse bunch, this unites us all :)
Here’s some from 2022 to inspire you:
Harry and Megan of “overseas”
the Funeral candle
no Jubilee balcony
voetsek Megan
I love the part where…(YouTube comments on their Netflix trailer)
Marriott Meg
12% Rotten Tomatoes rating for Netflix flopumentary, with her cutesy (mocking) curtesy
What was your favourite from 2023?
Meg inexplicably marching with the Invictus vets, at the front, while Harry is literally on the sidelines. https://archive.ph/wip/VG5SP
Meg wears a JCrew sweater to the Games. Her fans claim the Meghan effect crashed the site. JCrew comes out faster than Dior to clarify it was a confirmed outage for a website update.https://archive.ph/wufbS
Archetypes trademark abandoned. So much for the other platforms manifested clamouring for it. https://archive.ph/wip/yhziu
Embarrassing video at the fundraiser with Kevin Costner where she assumes she’s going to be given the mic by virtue of her being there, reached for it, and is very intentionally avoided and not given it. https://archive.ph/yeZDN
Despite the NDA attempts, information on how the NY Bench faux Royal visit does not let anyone speak negatively about her visit. Ever. She also demanded a new carpet. https://archive.ph/qAhnb
Snubbed by the Beckhams on their far more popular Netflix documentary. “Humiliated” by the snub from the Clooneys at their New York Foundation for Justice event.https://archive.ph/wip/GsB7j
Snubbed by Kim K birthday party, despite earlier pics with Doria and days before floating PR that Meg may do a cameo on KUWTK. Compounded by Kylie’s ‘boyfriend’ Chalomet talking about the Worldwide Privacy Tour earlier in the week. https://archive.ph/wip/BGvVP
Mocked on Family Guy for Netflix contract getting paid for nothing/ spon con Insta for Del Taco. Del Taco joins in and tweets about it. https://archive.ph/wip/Sm56V
Meg manifests a deal with Audible. Audible spokesperson shuts that down. https://archive.ph/KTLnP
William lands in Singapore for Earthshot to lit up architecture, Union Jack waving crowds, and an official tree planting at the airport. Meg and H attempt to compete by releasing a ‘candid’ pic of them at Katy Perry’s Las Vegas show (implying the standing people, phones were for them and not Celine Dion who walked in behind them). Cameron Diaz was also there, but didn’t get pics sold the same way. None of the other celebs present interact with them on camera. https://archive.ph/gnpjA
Dior signs Meg. No, not that Meg, but Meg the actress who plays Kate Middleton on the Crown. https://archive.ph/wip/lH6dY
Harry and Meg highly publicize their birthday call to Charles. The Palace discretely responds with detailed full itinerary of Charles’s busy day and evening, plus the press runs the fact that Charles doesn’t have a cell phone. Sussexes double down and pivot to it somehow being a prerecorded message sent (to where?) with Archie and Lili singing happy birthday. The world laughs or ignores them. https://archive.ph/i0uz8
Move along Meg on TikTok, after the video of her refusing to leave her basking on the press carpet at the Variety awards. Bonus is the real celebs inside clearly refused any pictures with her. The next day it’s confirmed she wasn’t even on the Guest List, which explains the Table 12 seating in no star names social Siberia. https://archive.ph/uC4Y8
Harry and Meg graciously are open to an invite for Christmas. Palace guest list leaks a day later, NFI. https://archive.ph/wip/0dEoi
Endgame is published. Omid claims to not be a friend of Meghan. Two Royal racist names are leaked to the Dutch publication based on Meg’s letter to Charles post Megxit. Omid blames the translator. No one publicly appears to believe them. There is not one single positive review of Endgame in major world newspapers. Omid later in the week acknowledges the names were in the Dutch manuscript. https://archive.ph/wip/Lr8XR
Hollywood Reporter lists Harry and Meghan as one of the biggest losers of 2023. https://archive.ph/E4hUt
Kitson’s Holiday Hypocrisy celeb window display in LA features Harry and Meg. Tik Tok notices. https://archive.ph/7yA3F
Ranker poll has both Meghan (#2) and Harry (#6) in the Top 10 list for Most Disliked Celebrities of 2023. Oprah, Hilary Baldwin,Ellen, Amber Heard (#1), and Bill Cosby also make the list. Update: They've recently become #1 and #4. https://archive.ph/OpKH5
Archewell 2022-2023 Impact Report highlighting ‘Restoring Trust in Information’, including ethical journalism, drops the same day Harry is fined $60K in court for providing misleading information - where he’s suing a newspaper. Court documents call it “ironic” given the “Duke of Sussex is responsible for misleading the court.” https://archive.ph/wip/1YtSe
Archewell’s 2022 financials reveal they only raised $2 mil (two anonymous $1 mil donations) vs $13 mill (also two anonymous donations) in 2021. Press brand it a “failure.” Notice they literally had only 4 donations in two years. https://archive.ph/wip/LqnuL
Not invited to any parties for Art Basel in Miami. Back in 2014, Markus organized a Soho party, invited Meg, and sat her next to Misha Nonoo. Context shows Meg has even less clout now than her pre Royal days.https://archive.ph/wip/aKYPL
Christmas card released. Largely ignored by world media. The response from other media: where are the kids? Called out for its embarrassing corporate look. https://archive.ph/fldEw
WME is "horrified" by Meghan Markle's sinking brand and association with Endgame, and may drop her in 2024. https://archive.ph/mye6j
(Honorable mentions to specific Harry’s moments: with Charles too busy to met, not going to France and hiking in Transylvania, and “in the realms of total speculation”. Harry pitches a Spotify show interviewing Putin, Zuckerberg, the Pope, etc on their shared bond of childhood trauma, Spare the most dumped holiday book of 2023. “Peace talks” between KCIII and Harry since he’s nearby in Germany for Invictus shut down less than 24h later. Persona non grata).
Which ones did you not know or forget about?
It's been quite the year! To quote the Sussexes, thanks for all the support in 2023!

Any interest in grading everyone’s first day of free agency? Would love to hear your thoughts!!
ooh okay ! well as tuned in as i am i didn't catch everything so this is going to be pretty incomplete/fairly uninformed but here's my attempt:
boston bruins: that zadorov contract LOL AND LMAO (i say as if hes not going to immediately skyrocket to excellence.) that lindholm contract might be even worse with the same caveat. A+ for me, a hater
buffalo sabres: what did they even do? C.
detroit red wings: kane is a bad move + jack campbell is fine at that contract + cam talbot is the epitome of "goalies? what's up with goalies?" + why do they have 4 goalies now. C-
florida panthers: lost montour, lost oel, lost lomberg. that reinhart contract is really good though. C+
montreal canadiens: if slaf continues on his upward trajectory that contract looks great; if he doesn't, they're already bad so it doesn't matter all that much. B
ottawa senators: what did they even do? get noah gregor? i hear he's very fast. C.
tampa bay lightning: where do i even start with this one
toronto maple leafs: the problem w/ all of the leafs' acquisitions is that they are Fine, some of them even Good, but they're just overpaid enough for me to not only get annoyed about it but also see 30 ft of insufferably rancid discourse every time i open twitter. B+
carolina hurricanes: appear to have lost half the guys i remember being on their roster, but the one dude they did end up signing was one of the small handful of good deals i saw handed out today. C
columbus blue jackets: this team's quality does not matter. you know what does matter? gaudreau/monahan reunion. A
new jersey devils: brett pesce's good. B+
new york islanders: anthony duclair's good but i mourn what lou lamoriello will make him do with his hair. C+
new york rangers: what did they even do. C.
philadelphia flyers: MATVEI MICHKOV IS COMING. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, TELL YOUR ENEMIES, TELL TRAVIS KONECNY, TELL EVERYONE!!! A
pittsburgh penguins: incredibly committed to the bit of only signing players over 30 and they don't have poj back yet. C
washington capitals: genuine home runs in here. chychrun... pld... matt roy... didn't even give out valuable picks to acquire these assets! A
chicago blackhawks: i think they're trying to crawl out of this rebuild with no other serious potential core members other than bedard, which don't get me wrong is a bad move, but i also think they're not doing a terrible job of crawling out of the rebuild. B
colorado avalanche: kept jo drouin. C+
dallas stars: lyubushkin is incredibly bad and they gave him 3.25 aav. and casey desmith is there. F
minnesota wild: extended one of the sexiest toothless men on earth jake middleton. A
nashville predators: A+
st louis blues: what did they even do. C
utah hockey club: that durzi price is a bit steep but hey, if you've never had the money before i guess you might as well spend it. also sergachev was a BALLSY move i will miss you my cunty mistress. also we (the nhl) have a fucking iginla again... for our health. we need an iginla. B-
winnipeg jets: what did they even do. C
anaheim ducks: what did they even do. C
calgary flames: sharangovich extension + anthony mantha. tidy bit of business. zayne parekh YOU are the 2025 calder trophy winner. C+
edmonton oilers: managed to get a couple good players on nice cheap contracts, improved their rush game even more somehow, and will have to re-print their goalie's jerseys because they now have two different guys named skinner. A
la kings: gave joel edmundson nearly 4 million dollars a year. D
seattle kraken: stole brandon montour from florida. B+
san jose sharks: unlike the hawks, seem to be actively prepared to break out of the rebuild and trying to do it. toffoli? great! wennberg? a little overpaid but they're trying to hit the cap floor at this point so it's quite good! rumours of pavs return to san jose but you didn't hear it from me. B+
vancouver canucks: jake debrusk is gonna be a good linemate for petey imho. the hronek and myers contracts were a little rich but honestly they seem to be a lot more coherent ideologically than they were just a couple years ago. B
vegas golden knights: basically lost every remaining original misfit/otherwise quality forward in an effort to keep marchessault, and then lost marchessault anyway to the Power Of Divorce. and now they have ilya samsonov as their starting goaltender. F

My Favorite Midheavens (MC) Life Paths
Your midheaven is often referred to as your "life path." It's the zodiac sign you have in the 10th house, it's associated with your career, public image, and can even be your social media aesthetic. Your midheaven tells you about the image often projected onto you by others or the image you want to project. It can hint to what the world needs you to be, or just how people see you when they don't know you more intimately. Find out your midheaven on astro.com. To embrace your midheaven it helps when you already have birth placements in the same sign.
1. Taurus Midheaven
Tumblr media
No other midheaven in my opinion is as naturally blessed and fortunate as Taurus. It's almost like people with this midheaven have a halo around their head that over shadows any potential scandals or toxic traits they may have. People view you as aesthetically pleasing in a traditional sense, valuing beauty and financial security. After all, Taurus is ruled by Venus, so this midheaven attracts a life of luxury or an abundance of material possessions, it's a life that at least to others appears comfortable, classy, and appealing to the senses. Taurus Midheaven's often also appear grounded and put together to their peers, or having a certain professional charisma that can carry them up the ranks more easily in a work environment. Bad behavior can be more easily concealed with this down-to-earth and wholesome girl or boy-next door image. Enjoy a career and life that offers several comforts and beauty. Beware not to take it for granted or overindulge, this veneer still has its limits. Celebrity examples: Princess Kate Middleton, Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie, Blake Lively, Johnny Depp and Marilyn Monroe
2. Leo Midheaven
Tumblr media
Ready to be in the spotlight? To be a Leo Midheaven embrace your star power, you attract attention from the public like the Sun that rules your 10th house. This is a life that is in the public's eye on a stage. Think careers in entertainment or in the arts that are meant to be seen, adored, and appreciated. People with this midheaven are always giving main character energy, at least to your peers you appear bold, confident, and fun to watch and be around. All the attention from peers can be tough for anyone who is actually much more introverted. Some people have even called this the "superstar" destiny. Embrace your inner fire and go after a life of extravagance, drama, and glamour. On the flipside, you can also come off as narcissistic and fame obsessed. Scandals can add to your fame, like the expression, "All publicity is good publicity."
Celebrity examples: Lana Del Rey, Jackie Kennedy, Katy Perry, Natalie Portman, Robin Williams, Harry Styles, and Grace Kelly
3. Libra Midheaven
Tumblr media
Another Venus ruled 10th house, Libra. Seriously Venus is so powerful it can bring so many blessings to your ASC, 2nd house, 3rd house, and the Midheaven of course. Libra Midheaven's can effortlessly appear more polished, beautiful, and charming next to several of their peers. The sign of the diplomat, mediator can be great to have for your 10th house since it's pretty hard for anyone to point the finger at you if things hit the fan. If you have this Midheaven, people will pay attention to how you dress, it's giving style icon potential. You can be universally well liked or maintain a clean reputation more easily among social circles in your area with this midheaven, you can appear approachable, friendly, and sweet. 🎀 The sign of partnerships, people will know you for who you date, marry, or even a business partner. The downside is people might pay more attention to how you look instead of how you think. Your greater attributes like your intellect, talents, and interests may be overlooked or hushed altogether in the pursuit of you maintaining that pageant like façade. People won't like it if you take sides, or take a stand on more complex issues, people want you to stay neutral. Prepare for a life of stylish, trendy aesthetics, numerous social circles, and powerful partners. Celebrity Examples: Paris Hilton, Princess Diana, Stassi Schroeder, Elizabeth Taylor, Anne Hathaway, Kylie Jenner, Olivia Rodrigo, and Coco Chanel.
Honorable Mention: Scorpio
Tumblr media
Mysterious, ambitious, brooding, and so strangely alluring. I just love a good mafia story. Think Godfather, the British monarchy, you may be known for your notorious family members, a family business, maintaining the family legacy, generational wealth, old money, a historical lineage, or infamous family affairs and issues. Your life path is to protect your family, lead the family business, add to the family wealth, be an asset to your family, or build a family legacy of your own. Embrace the power you have been blessed with, your family has royalty energy. After all, Scorpio is often considered the most powerful and intense of all. In your 10th house, you might as well embrace the reputation of your family and figure out how to out wit, out smart, and out last your many envious competitors. In my opinion, this is my top pick for men.
Celebrity Examples: Barack Obama, Prince William, Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, Priscilla Presley, Carl Jung, and Sean Connery.
Side Note: If your Midheaven is in Aquarius or Leo, these zodiac signs square off with Scorpio in opposing positions. If you have a Midheaven in either of these signs its likely you need to carve out a name for your self outside the family. Difficulty with family is likely. More on this in another post. :)

Something like this was always coming down the pipeline. Whatever the reason Middleton’s disappearance from public life eventually turned out to be, it was never going to be something fun. And now we know the precise shape of that darker reality. This video was followed by commentary from journalists and online mouthpieces that anybody who speculated about her whereabouts ought to be ashamed of themselves. Helen Lewis wrote a piece for the Atlantic headlined “I Hope You All Feel Terrible Now.” But it’s not guilt the public ought to be feeling. It’s a more wide-ranging kind of disgust about monarchy in general. I don’t blame Middleton for any of this. She knew what she was signing up for in joining the royal family, sure, but I think it’s right and human to feel sorry for a mother of young children who has received a cancer diagnosis. That said, turning the blame on the public at large is disingenuous. Yes, the speculation online has been insane. People undoubtedly took it too far, with the TikTok sleuthing, the prurience with which many engaged in conspiracy theories about where she had gone. The jokes look in very poor taste now. But it didn’t have to be like this. The manner in which the palace went about handling this situation produced that situation. We’re in the odd but useful position of being able to compare what happened with Kate Middleton’s cancer directly with the cancer of another royal at the same moment, King Charles. There, the palace announced enough information to keep nosy hordes at bay, and they did it promptly. What the palace apparently decided to do here was to allow speculation to reach fever pitch over a period of weeks, release an obviously doctored photo of Middleton, blame her for the editing job, approve a grainy piece of bystander footage of her leaving a farm shop, and patch all of this up by trotting out a woman fighting cancer to sit alone on a bench and tell us, in the kindest words they could write for her, to leave her alone. So, a big part of why this feels bad is that massive public relations failure by the palace. But it is also, to a large degree, an inevitable consequence of the fact of whom the royals position themselves to be, and the friction produced by their status in Britain. It’s important to remember that Middleton is not a celebrity in any normal sense. The Kardashians, people of perhaps equivalent fame, do not owe anybody any information about themselves, although they choose to give out a lot of it. But the royals do owe the public, in order to justify their existence. Middleton is a person whom the palace deemed it appropriate to parade out in front of the world media just hours after giving birth to each of her children, hair done, makeup applied. A person whose job, that which she earns taxpayer money for, is to appear in public: to shake hands, to be photographed, to grace schools and businesses with her presence. And she has to do this in strict accordance with the palace’s idea of what a princess ought to be. Polite, modestly dressed, humble, uncomplaining, smoothed of any rough edges that might constitute a personality. The idea that a person like that could just disappear, and people wouldn’t wonder where she was, is ludicrous. The royal family turns its members into figures who exist purely as spectacle, as glossy, likable ciphers for monarchical power. They have taught the public that they exist for us to see. That’s a hard lesson for people to unlearn.

Virgo sun (12 house ) 4 degree
Virgo rising 5 degree
Cap moon (4th house) 1 degree
Virgo Mercury (1st house) 24
Leo Venus (11 house ) 1 degree
Sag mars (4th house ) 24 degree
First of all ... I'm sorry it took so long to finish it. I am a lil bit busy these day.
Second, Wow ... Virgo beauty never fail to amaze me. Y'all literally the goddess of this universe. Built different, god's favourite angel 😭
Okay. Firstly, let's talk about Rising Sign. Rising sign is how your overall appearances would shift and lift you up and Virgo Rising lifted by appear as pristine, crystal clear and as angelic as you could (since virgo often represented as the virgin angel too). So keep in mind that in order to elevate your look, you should pick something virgo-ish.
With Leo Venus in the 11th house, i want you to embody the same energy as Princess Diana, the ultimate princess in people's heart until now. Leo Venus is a royal venus. Think about how british royal ladies present their beauty into the world. Especially because you have that the holy Capricorn Moon, ir adds a quality of elegance, mature and longlasting beauty.
So here is your personalized glow up tips for you based on your looks and your astrology sign.
HAIR CARE
Because you are Leo Venus, the health of your hair is important. Add hair oil to your haircare routine. Oil your hair or give it hair mask before washing it. Avoid washing it too often bcs it will damaged your scalp (Capricorn Moon) Two times a week is the maximal amount.
Dry shampoo is the real enemy of Leo Venus. Avoid this as far as you can.
If you want to colour it, makes sure you keep it into more natural colour with cool and bright undertone rather experimenting with high vibrant colour.
Blow your hair and give it hair massage before styling it. Your hair already shinning but somehow as a beautician itself i see you often not caring your hair as far as how you care on your skin. Invest in a good hairstyling equipment.
MAKEUP
While you have Virgo rising, you have Leo 11th. You also have this rising in Leo degree so to glow up, you need to combine Leo-Virgo energy into your everyday makeup.
I see how Leo people love to swing it up when it comes to makeup because Leo Venus express themselves with makeup. I often see this placement style of makeup often influenced by their mood (it's like how your makeup is messy during your bad mood day and how it's very awesome when you feel great with yourself) so before makeup, try to speak your daily affirmation first to make sure your energy flow positively.
When it comes to makeup style, Leo Venus is a royalty Venus. It's shine the best when you dress like you are the royalty of a kingdom family. So ... Maybe you need to take reference over Lady Diana, Kate Middleton or Princess Eleanour dresses and makeup. The point of these beauty is a noble beauty, a beauty that makes everyone know you are raised in high status family.
And when it comes to your Virgo rising and Capricorn Moon. Make sure you don't overdo the makeup Keep it simple. Stay in NATURAL, COOL and CALM colour (for example : nude with cool pink tone. Avoid overlining your lips and keep your eyes with one or two eyeshadow colour with natural shimmer. Since Leo-Virgo is the energy of pure shinning soul, do your makeup with a lot of natural highlighter that soften your facial features. Keep it clean.
Avoid contouring/bronzing too much. Also, avoid too much overlining your lips. Virgo rising appearances might indicates someone who peoole think hard to reach when actually you are Leo Venus who wants to befriend all people from all background. Virgo rising is also the rising of the humble, skilled, smart and the confident one. So the key to your makeup look is soft and classic look. I think less is more for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SKINCARE
Be careful on picking skincare. As you have Capricorn Moon and Sagittarius Mars, your skin might need more than drugstore skincare. Invest in your skincare more, it might help you stay fresh longer.
Look for retinoids. Capricorn placements is someone who need retinols and retinoids earlier than they think they need.
As a Virgo Rising, also look at skincare that contains probiotics and prebiotics as the main ingredients (usually korean skincare) Virgo Rising might indicare that your body healths could be indicated by the condition of your skin. If you feel like you haven't take care of yourself, your skin will react first as the sign of how unwell you are. Virgo rising means your skin is the first body parts than give you signal over your health.
Make sure your daily protein, vitamin and zinc intake also supplied properly.
Virgo-Capricorn folks also need to be more diciplined when it comes to moisturizer. They usually need a lot of moisturizer than other people.
Balance your diets. A lot of Virgo-Capricorn person is more inclined to have breakout skin if they start to ignore their daily diet. Capricorn and Virgo's biggest enemy -> softdrink and food that are too spicy. Leo's biggest enemy -> fast processed food.
FASHION :
Sun and Moon in both of the earth sign. Wow, that's s recipe to get your own longlasting, graceful and forever beauty. So the key to your fashion is elegance and classic.
With Venus Leo in 11th house, it might be wise for you to not follow the trends of fast fashion ever because it will trigger your insecurity and your sense of wanting people's approval. Fast fashion is not for you.
Instead, invest in more timeless and classic piece. Your Capricorn Moon speak for alpha female vibe inside you. So make sure you choose to wear something that makes you seems effortless. I suggest you to buy some coat, some high-end sweater and some classic boots to enhance the elegance inside you.
Even if Leo Venus 11th house is a venus that want to get appreciation and attention more than other people, but your Virgo Rising is not something that could handle way too flashy clothes. Keep it simple and modest. Pick the clothes that not too revealing, but comfortable enough that it rightly FIT you. Also with your Sagittarius Mars, you might not look that good with oversized clothes.
Virgo-Capricorn loves quality and Leo Venus demand luxury. So, i think when it comes to clothes. Good quality fabrics > everything about clothes.
Virgo-Capricorn also speak for pleated skirt and sweater. This is the ultimate combo that would elevate your look.
Also Virgo-Capricorn-Leo combo : Stay in monochomatic looks. But you can experiment by combine your red/pink tops with your neutral earth-tone bottom or pick an emerald green with your gold jewelry. 100% works.
Some inspiration about your fashion.

Creator Spotlight
Tumblr media
@jupitercomet has by far the best AU stories that I have read. What initially drew me to them was Je te Laisserai Des Mots. I have read it a total of 3 times now and I fall more in love with that story with each read. They have so many AU; boxing, baseball, etc. There is literally something for everyone to get into. Please head over and go through their masterlist, it doesn’t disappoint.
A little Q & A:
1: What is your favorite thing you've written or made? oh gosh, okay. I think there are a few that I'm quite proud of, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be Je te Laisserai Des Mots. I've been posting on and off on tumblr since I was around 11 I think, and it was the first fic of mine that made me feel like "oh.. this matters to people" and that was just a really surreal feeling so the series holds a very special place in my heart.
2: Top 3 favorite creators you want people to check out? again there are so, so many, it blows my mind how talented people are so I really think you can't go wrong with anyone who writes for tgm. but @gretagerwigsmuse is one, her Bradley and Smart Aleck series is so good and real, sometimes I wish I could Men in Black myself just to read it for the first time again. also, aside from being my Kate Middleton, she's just so cool, like everything she posts is my favorite thing on the dash. another is @bradshawsbitch she's so funny, like her tags always make me snort they're so much fun. not only does she write, but her gifs?? impeccable. triple threat energy. and @fandomxpreferences, I have not been the best with reading recently, but I've saved links to come back to and I think I probably have half of her masterlist saved to read later. she's also constantly pumping out fics like nobody's business. how she does it, I don't know. but she will keep you fed.
3: An idea you have for a future work that people should look out for? I think this is the part where I expose myself for having an au problem. but after my boxing au, I have a baseball au and rockstar au coming, which will all be for Bradley, Jake, and Bob, as well as the second season of my Jake new girl au. so if any of those sound interesting, stay tuned!

A Middleton Walk Around: Non-Traditional Farming - Middleton Advisors
Tumblr media
Keyword - off market property ,property advisors london
With Mr Clarkson becoming the unlikely poster boy for UK Agriculture, his ability to create mass engagement and understanding has been widely welcomed. Whilst he has implemented some diversification (despite the locals) much of his profit still comes from traditional farming operations.
Contrary to this, there has been a demand to modernise established non-traditional farming processes, which have now become the forefront of sustainable agriculture. Spanning back centuries, these methods have faced ebbs and flows of traction but are now being readopted by farmers that are refocused on the environment, ecology, and long-term land management. But, like any industrial period, when methods become ‘vogue’, practices can be rushed, concepts misunderstood and careful planning can be overlooked, resulting in potentially harmful effects. So, it is imperative those looking to invest must seek professional advice before beginning the process.
As part of our Walk Around series, our farming and land expert, Will Langmead discusses these non-traditional farming methods and their potential.
Viticulture
Despite Viticulture arriving in the UK with the Romans, the U.K.’s ability to create top-quality wine has only recently seen a real surge in viability and success. With our south-facing soils for sparkling wines and the general effects of global warming, the UK is becoming a serious contender for wine production across the globe.
Drawbacks
Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of boxes to tick when it comes to viticulture. Historically, only certain soil types have been ideal for wine, although the improvement in rootstocks is enabling a wider variety of land to produce exceptional quality.
A lot of knowledge and expertise goes into a successful vineyard and with the recent movements in immigration, it has become harder to hire highly skilled workers who have previously worked in European vineyards and have gained extensive experience.
Benefits
Previously, wine enthusiasts have turned their noses up to English wine. However, UK sparkling wine is soaring, and its popularity is showing no sign of decline. Langham Wine Estates recently won the International Wine & Spirit Competition Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year, a huge leap forward and proof that the UK is no longer being overlooked.
The warming climate is obviously creating better conditions for growing but also reducing the potential for frost damage.
With the right marketing and knowledge, viticulture can become a very profitable and successful business venture.
Not only does it add value to your land but, viticulture creates real diversification.
Regenerative Agriculture
Regenerative farming is a term used to describe practices that strive to improve the farm’s ecosystem by improving biodiversity, ecology, and soil structure alongside the production of food or fibre. The process of doing this could include reducing the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Predictions show that the push towards a healthier planet will lie less with those reducing their meat consumption but instead with consumers who attempt to source all their food products from as close as possible.
Drawbacks
If the aim is to source all produce locally, then inevitably seasonality will become more relevant and so the variety of food would become more restricted.
From a consumer perspective, regenerative agriculture brings the potential for higher costs for food, which if not differentiated, could deter potential customers.
Though it increases the farm’s productivity in the long run, these results can’t be seen overnight and require complete buy-in from multiple generations.
Benefits
One of regenerative agriculture’s core concepts is improving the soil’s health. There are many benefits to this with reduced erosion and increased fertility to highlight a couple.
Reduces carbon footprint significantly. By reducing the passes of machinery and aiming to increase biodiversity there should be less carbon used and more ability to sequester it through the year.
By improving soil health, the need for harsh chemicals and pesticides can be reduced. Furthermore, regenerative agriculture urges the integration of livestock, which can act as both a fertiliser and pesticide, reducing carbon emissions even more.
Rewilding
Rewilding is a conservation strategy that leaves the land to its natural processes and reintroduces animals, plants and insects that had previously been driven out. This could be to increase biodiversity, carbon capture or even water management. All of these aren’t mutually exclusive and can be interwoven with appropriate planning and objective revaluation.
Drawbacks
There is the potential for large swathes of land to be contributed to rewilding schemes without due care or careful planning. Greater understanding is required along with active management to support the natural ecosystem.
In a similar vein, misuse of rewilding can alienate communities and harm existing biodiversity.
Just ‘closing the gates’ on monoculture will not actively increase wildlife and biodiversity long term. A closed gate will enviably cause a spike in biodiversity but is unlikely to be a long-term solution.
Benefits
If done properly, rewilding can restore ecosystems and improve the yields on commercial food production.
Reduces leaching of manmade agrichemicals thus preserving linked ecosystems.
Large potential for carbon sequestration.
Forestry
Dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, around 90% of all Britain’s timber and forest products were imported (according to Conservation Handbook),This proved hugely problematic when the First World War erupted as enemy action prevented imports from international sources. To combat this, the Forestry Commission dedicated large acreages of land to forest growth. Post WW2, however, food production was at a low rate and there was a resounding demand for Britain to become a self-sufficient nation for all fruit and veg production. The government encouraged landowners to rip up their woodland to replace it with arable land to feed the country. In more recent years, various farmers have shifted their concerns towards helping the environment and in doing so, afforestation has seen a revival.
Drawbacks
By swapping arable land for woodlands, farmers could face reduced profits. Reports show that this method of farming tends to appeal to philanthropists whose main goal is less monetarily driven, but more motivated by greener living.
Service requirement for employment associated with forestry is dramatically reduced in comparison to traditional farming.
Benefits
Alongside the environmental benefits woodland can often create the opportunity for diversification. This could be in the form of open access or even a well-thought-through wellness retreat.
Forests are important for the wildlife’s habitat as it protects various plant, animal and insect species populated there. This not only has a positive impact on biodiversity but also reduces carbon emissions considerably.

Following their latest embarrassing business blow insiders say Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be forced to make a drastic choice if they want to come out on top. by u/Quiet-Vanilla-7117
Following their latest ‘embarrassing’ business blow, insiders say Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be forced to make a drastic choice if they want to come out on top. “Meghan is distraught over this Spotify snub and the fallout that has followed. It’s totally knocked her sideways. She can’t believe she’s been attacked so viciously and so publicly by one of their execs, and to be labelled ‘grifters’ is an utterly humiliating and gut-wrenching all-time low."To make matters worse, insiders say Meghan has been left even more humiliated by reports that Spotify are believed to be considering brokering a deal with an even more prominent royal – Meghan’s “nemesis”, Kate Middleton. “Meghan would be shocked if Kate signs a podcast deal. She feels she would just be doing it for revenge on her and would really rub salt into the wounds.""Describing Harry and Meghan as having “ruffled feathers” during their time working with the streaming platform, the Netflix source adds, “Harry is no problem, but Meghan thinks she knows how to run Hollywood”. https://archive.ph/KcXxC post link: https://ift.tt/o965NWv author: Quiet-Vanilla-7117 submitted: July 01, 2023 at 08:01AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

YOUR FUNERAL
SEASON FIVE, EPISODE ONE
Masterlist
Tumblr media
"And I thought Christopher’s diaper smelled bad," Laurel says. They're starting their third year at Middleton, and they're back in the classroom. There are a few chairs, so most students are standing like they are.
"She'll weed out the duds," Michaela tells her.
"Unless we're the duds," April says. Laurel gives her a glance, which Michaela notices.
"Okay, what's up with you two?" She asks, annoyed.
April and Laurel look over at Michaela. "What?" They ask simultaneously.
"You've been acting weird," Michaela says. "Both of you."
"I've noticed too," Connor states.
"Did something happen?" Asher asks.
"Nothing happened," April tells him.
Annalise walks into the classroom. She looks at the students for a brief moment. "And to think they wouldn't even let me step foot on this campus a few months ago."
A few students chuckle at her comment. Annalise places her bag on the table, pulling out a small timer, which she puts on the desk. "Despite what you think, this is not an Advanced Trial Skills class. In fact, this is not a class at all. This is a sacrifice. From this point on, you will have no time for friends or family. Instead, you'll wake up hating yourself for choosing this life. But you'll get up anyway, killing yourself to win cases, only to lose and watch innocent people go to jail, and then you'll drink to make yourself feel better. Or take pills. Or fantasize about going to sleep... forever."
"That's the life you're choosing. Brutal, mean, depressing, ruthless. But that's what it costs to change the world. So, who wants in?" She smiles. And the students raise their hands.
"Mr. Chase, stand up," Annalise says. She is leaning against her desk. "What are you passionate about?"
"Oh," he seems surprised by the question, "uh, I've been pretty obsessed with Prince lately, but the early years—"
"I mean your legal passion," Annalise interrupts him. "That one issue you would take to the Supreme Court."
"Uh..."
"Get out," Annalise orders. "We have 24 seats to fill. Let's start culling the herd."
"But I signed up for this class."
"I don't care if you follow the rules. I care if you can kick ass in the courtroom. Are you quick on your feet? Can you move mountains with your words? That's not you. And don't tell me that there are any 1 or 2Ls in this class. I applaud your nerve, but you will not survive. Try again next year."
Several students grab their bags and start leaving. "Everyone else, you have 30 seconds to convince me that you care about something other than yourselves. Who wants to start?"
"Schools are the basis for a quality education, but there is no constitutional law that requires children to receive this education," Laurel says.
"The Equal Protection Clause forces business owner to provide services that contradict their religious beliefs."
It's Connor's turn. "Poverty is at the root of all human suffering. I would force the Treasury Department to provide a universal basic income for all citizens of this country."
"We need to appeal every loitering and trespass conviction in the country," Michaela states.
"We need to bring a Title 7 workplace discrimination case before the Supreme Court and redefine gender."
"These minor violations serve as a pretext to lock up thousands of black men for doing nothing more than standing on a sidewalk."
"We can no longer ignore the need for gun safety just because the gun lobby has bastardized the second amendment," April states.
Asher then speaks up. "We need to tear down and overhaul immigration by filing a civil rights complaint on behalf of every undocumented person."
"Congress's failure to adequately tax the wealth is an attack on the poor."
"This especially applies to the LGBTQ people who will be persecuted or even killed if they're sent back to their country of birth." Asher looks over at Michaela.
"But the law is on our side."
"The D.C. v Heller—"
"1983, the Civil Rights Act—"
"Standard of living—"
"As such, hampering children who cannot intelligently participate in a democratic society," Laurel finishes. The timer goes off.
"Go stand to the left," Annalise tells her. Laurel is a little confused but does as she is told.
Annalise splits them into two groups— left and right. "I'd file a suit against Mississippi arguing that every prison in the state is de facto cruel and unusual," one of the new students says.
"A suit on behalf of prisoners sounds like you're cribbing from my class action."
"No, I— I'm arguing you didn't go far enough. I'd lose my Mississippi case, but that's the point. The 5th Circuit will say that prisoners deserve only to be kept alive. As the appeals go on, my lead plaintiff will die— sad, yes. But the publicity will make SCOTUS take the case, and the 5th Circuit will have to eat their words. I'd sue other states until every prison in the country is under investigation, and we're forced to abolish our prison system on a national scale."
"Left," Annalise says— and that's where he goes.
"Congratulations, right side," Annalise says as she walks up to them. "None of you have to suffer my humiliations this semester. You're cut."
The student group makes their way out, as Annalise goes to the left group. "Everyone else from Round 2, tomorrow, you have to argue the opposing side of your passion. You exposed your bleeding heart. Now cut it out of your chest."
"Oh, my god!" Laurel exclaims when she sees Christopher— Frank brought him. "Christopher!"
"He was bugging me to see his ma," Frank says, handing Christopher over to Laurel.
"Oh, you want to go to law school now, too?" Michaela asks in her baby voice.
"Hey, did you take a job yet?" Connor asks Annalise, who was about to leave.
"Yeah, Bonnie said you were interviewing at a bunch of firms," April adds. Christopher is holding her pointy finger in his tiny hand. Laurel doesn't like her much at the moment, but she does let April see her son because he likes her.
"We are not doing this anymore," Annalise says.
"Having a conversation?" Connor asks.
"Making other students think that I'm playing favorites. Boundaries. That's the word for the year."
"Sounds good to me," Michaela retorts.
"Annalise," Frank says as he goes to follow her.
"Don't worry," April tells Christopher, smiling at the baby. "She's not always that cranky." They make their way down the stairs and leave.
///
"Universal basic income is an illegal redistribution of wealth prohibited by the Takings Clause in the fifth amendment." The students are at the house studying.
Franks walks in with chips and dip. "I'm bored already." He puts the snacks on the table— in front of April. "No wonder you failed out."
"And then busted my ass all summer to get back in."
"No, you got back in 'cause Annalise called in a favor."
"Did she tell you that?"
"I've already said too much."
Cristopher starts crying, causing Laurel to let out an annoyed sigh. "I just changed him." She gets up again.
"Nah, that's his I want my binky cry," Frank tells Laurel. "I got it." Frank goes to Christopher.
Laurel sits back down. "I hate your manny," Connor tells her.
"My son loves him."
"And you? Do you love him?" Asher asks before sipping his tea.
"No."
"But you're having sex again, right? 'Cause otherwise, why is he so happy to be changing diapers?"
"Because he loves Christopher."
"And the sex," Michaela adds.
"Michaela!" Laurel scolds her.
"Was that a secret?"
"Yes!"
"Everyone already knew that," April says. "It wasn't a secret. He likes to care of your baby because he likes you," she tells Laurel.
Michaela notices Laurel's annoyed look immediately. "Really? You're still doing that?"
"Yeah, seriously, you guys, what's going on?" Asher asks.
"Nothing is going on," April tells them, while Laurel just shrugs her shoulders. "Can you let this go?"
"She is practically stabbing you in her mind," Michaela tells April. "What are you guys hiding?"
"None of your business," Laurel replies.
Michaela scoffs. "Really?"
"Now I'm interested too," Connor says, taking a seat.
"Okay. What are you going to say to Marcus?"
Michaela is taken aback by the question. She turns to look at Laurel. "I didn't say anything," Laurel says.
"She didn't have to," April adds. "You ruined our relationship over this guy, so the least you can do is text him."
Michaela sighs, trying to figure out how they got here. "I don't know what to say."
"You'll figure it out." April grabs her notebook and continues to study.
///
"Ciao, bellas!" Oliver walks in, holding food. "Your delivery has arrived."
"Thank god. I'm starving," April says as they make their way over.
"I'll Venmo you later," Asher tells Oliver.
"Actually, I kind of need the money now."
April hugs Oliver before grabbing a slice of pizza. "Uh, I already paid you. Where's my salad?" Michaela asks.
"It got deported," Oliver says— Connor kissing him on the cheek. The guys grab some pizza for themselves.
"Oliver, where'd this come from?" Laurel asks, holding a white box. "There's no return address."
"It was at the front door when I walked in."
"Are you sure you should open it?" April asks.
"It's fine." Laurel uses her keys to open the box. She pulls out a small, white dress.
"What is it?" Asher asks.
"It's a baptism gown," Michaela says.
"My baptism gown," Laurel adds. "My mother was saving it for when I had my own baby."
"So that's from her?" Connor asks.
"Of course."
"Not your brother, the maid who raised you?"
"It's from her."
"Well, that means you didn't kill her, then, so I guess... great news all around." April gives Asher a pointed look for making that comment.
///
"Privacy rights are the foundation of our country, and one of the most private choices we can make is the way we educate our children," Laurel says— the next day in class. "As stated in Wisconsin v. Yoder."
"What if a parent wants to give their kids no education?" Annalise asks.
"The parent has the right to choose, as states in the constitu—"
"The constitution doesn't say anything about parents' rights," Annalise interrupts her.
"Let me finish—"
"You think the Justices let me finish my sentence?"
"Loitering statutes actually benefit minority communities by preventing behaviors proven to lead to violent crimes," Michaela says.
"You're talking pretextual stops?"
"Precisely, which were found legal by the unanimous 1996 SCOTUS decision in Wren v. U.S."
"The second amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms, and for a good reason," April says.
"Due process is a right reserved for American citizens, not illegal aliens," Asher states.
"You mean undocumented immigrants."
"No, they're illegal, pursuant to Section 1325 of the U.S. Code Title 8."
"It's wrong to assume freedom of religion is absolute, especially when it impedes the public trade in goods and services."
"Once the government begins regulating what every child learns, what stops them from deciding what books they read?"
"Because you're underprivileged doesn't mean you don't know the difference between right and wrong."
"In District of Columbia v. Heller, the Supreme Court affirmed for the first time that the right belongs to individuals for self-defense in the home. So, it's my legal right to protect myself if someone breaks into my home and/or threatens my life in any way."
Annalise looks at April for a moment, then nods. "Alright. Who's next?" April takes her seat as Annalise grabs her phone.
"I'll go," Connor says. He and Gabriel stood up.
"All right, let's call it a day," Annalise says as she gets off her chair. "Mr. Walsh, you're first up tomorrow." She grabs her bag and leaves.
///
When April gets to her place, she sees Trevor standing at the door. "What are you doing here?" She asks as she walks up to him.
"Can we talk?"
"About what?"
"My dad left."
April still doesn't understand why he's there. "And that's my problem, how?"
Trevor sighs. "I don't know what to do. I'm alone."
"You're an adult. Figure it out."
Trevor stops her from entering. "You're the only family I have."
"No, we're not family. We're related. There's a difference." Trevor looks a little hurt by her words.
"I'm alone."
"We're all alone!" April shrugs her shoulders. "You need to figure yourself out. And trust me when I tell you that I'm doing you a favor because you need better people in your life. Not me, not your dad. You can do better."
"I've never been on my own."
April looks at him for a moment. "You're still living in your father's house. Get a job if you don't have one. Make friends. I don't care. I really don't. Now leave."
Trevor steps aside, letting her by. He doesn't respond. April unlocks the door and goes inside, closing it.
///
They’re in class the next day, and Connor and Gabriel are the only two left. "Handing out cash to the poor is a violation of Article 1 of the Constitution. The founding fathers purposely limited congress' taxation power to funds that provide for the general welfare of the United States."
"U.S. v. Butler held that congress could unilaterally decide what's in the public's interest," Annalise tells Connor.
"But congress can't decide that something that's detrimental to public interest is suddenly beneficial. Universal basic income has been proven to disincentivize people from improving their plight. That's in direct opposition to the general welfare described by Article 1."
Annalise looks at Connor for a moment before speaking. "Mr. Maddox, convince us why we need more prisons."
Connor, a little confused, steps aside, and Gabriel takes the spot in front of the class. "Imagine a murderer doing a couple of years and being released to the streets to kill again. Meanwhile, the victims and the families are never the same. I mean, think about the injustice in that. Your loved one's killer walks free while you suffer. I mean, how is that moral or decent? Once a person commits murder, they are broken. Something inside them is rotten."
"Mr. Maddox, where's the legal argument in all of this?" Annalise cuts in.
"I mean, I can get legal on you. We can talk about how the eighth amendment requires zero restraint when it comes to reoffenders or that four Supreme Court cases upheld this. But this... no, this— this is about what kind of society we want to live in. I mean, how would you feel if your kid got killed? Or your spouse? I mean, you of all people know what that feels like, Professor Keating."
The room gets quiet for a moment. "This is the argument you're taking to the Supreme Court?"
Gabriel nods. "It is. Because that's how you win— with emotion, just like how you did in your case."
"Take a seat," Annalise says after a brief moment.
Gabriel goes over to his desk. "And just so you know, I don't believe I damn thing I just said." He sits down, a smile on his face.
///
"Are you sure this is the right address?" April asks upon seeing the house. They stop in front of the front gate.
"Seriously, this is a little sad for a wedding," Laurel adds.
"Look, guys, Oliver is putting me through school, so I will get married wherever he wants me to get married," Connor tells them.
Oliver then opens the door; he looks excited. "You made it! Come on in."
April and Michaela share a look before entering the gate that Connor opened. Then walk into the house.
"Okay, I'll chip in money for your wedding so that we never have to come here again," Michaela says when she sees the inside of the house.
"I'll pay for the whole wedding if it means not seeing this place ever again," April adds.
"Uh, no— we're not having the wedding here," Oliver tells them. "We're gonna live here."
"No," Michaela and Laurel say.
"Yes! Come on! I mean, it's cheap and huge. And there's even room for a nursery."
"I'm not raising my child in an old frat house, Oliver."
"You're broke," he tells Laurel. "The FBI froze your family's money, and it's mean and selfish to keep leading Frank on. Not to mention, it takes a village to raise a child, so let this be our village!"
"You are insane," Connor says to Oliver.
"No, I'm resourceful, and unless you want to make up with your father so he'll pay for our wedding, this is our only option."
"Your only option," Michaela states. "I'm leaving." She starts walking towards the door but stops when Oliver speaks.
"You owe me this, Michaela!"
"How?"
"Simon is in a detention center right now— or, worse, Pakistan, where he can't speak the language or be gay. So now you have to move in here to make up for it."
"So, Asher already said no?"
"Just say yes. All of you." Oliver moves his attention to all of them. "Say yes to our wonderful, new, cheap life together."
April then speaks up. "That sounds nice, but I just moved into a new place, and I really like it there, so...."
Oliver looks disappointed. "Really?" April nods. "Well, you'll come by."
///
"I got good news," Annalise tells her students the next day. They're all standing at the back of the classroom while Annalise is leaning against her desk. "As of today, this clinic is officially being funded by my employer, Caplan & Gold."
April and Laurel look over at each other— they're standing on opposite sides. "And as a part of the funding, I've created a prize."
Annalise walks over to the blackboard. "Now, the student with the highest ranking at the end of the semester will get this...."
She writes a number on the blackboard; 64,278,00. "A year's tuition paid in full."
Annalise goes back to her desk and picks up a book. "Now, let's see which of you will compete." She opens the book. "Michaela Pratt, take a seat."
"Money's mine, bitches," Michaela whispers to herself as she goes to sit down.
Annalise proceeds to read up to five more names. "Laurel Castillo," she then says. "April Coleman." The two take their seats.
More students fill the seats, and April hopes her friends will get chosen. "Connor Walsh."
"One seat left," Annalise says after Connor sits down. "Now, before I announce this last name, I have a question. Mr. Maddox, is it true you're 2L?"
Gabriel nods. "Yeah."
"You broke the rules."
"It's because you said you don't care about the rules. This was about passion— something I showed you."
"I don't doubt your passion. I doubt that you can handle this on top of your 2L schedule. Why should I trust that you can?"
"Pick me, and I'll show you."
The room is silent. Annalise is trying to decide if she should choose him. And then she does. "Welcome to the clinic, Mr. Maddox."
Gabriel takes a seat. "And the rest of you... change the world on your own."
////
"Almighty and ever-living God, you sent your only son into the world to cast out the power of Satan, to rescue man and bring him into the splendor of your kingdom," the priest is speaking. Laurel is standing up there, holding Christopher. Annalise and Frank are next to her.
"We pray for this child. Set him free from original sin, make him a temple of glory, and send your Holy Spirit to dwell with him. We ask this through Christ, our Lord."
"Did he really propose?" Connor asks in a low voice.
April, who is standing next to him, answers. "Yes. And she said no." They keep their voices low, not to disturb.
"Isn't that mean, then, making him godfather?" Oliver asks.
"No, what's mean is you all moving in together after I got booted out of the clinic," Asher replies.
"And I baptize you, Christopher, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of this Holy Spirit."

Chapter 10 of the 16th KP Fannies - Prelude
Chapter 10 – How It Began, Part III
On the morning of March 11, 2021, Kim and Ron Possible-Stoppable were sleeping peacefully in their bed. The alarm went off promptly at 7:00am and Kim woke up and waited nearly thirty seconds before pressing the snooze button as she watched her husband sleep.
"You really can sleep through anything, can't you?" Kim mused. "Ron?"
There was no response.
Kim nudged his shoulder repeatedly. "Ron, wake up!"
Ron gasped as he jerked awake and fell out of the bed before getting up on his feet.
"KPS, I was dreaming of running through a field of nacos!" Ron groaned. "Why did you have to ruin it?"
Kim crossed her arms. "Because I need you to cook breakfast so we can get ready for Justin's birthday at JP Bearymore's this afternoon. Now, I'm gonna go shower and get dressed. Can you have breakfast ready by then?"
Ron nodded as he stretched and yawned. "Okay, KPS."
"Oh, and since Monique also has the day off, we're gonna go shopping together at Middleton Mall after the party," Kim added.
"I'm still surprised that the mall has stayed open with so many of the outlets closed, since most people shop online now. Especially in the last few months."
With that, Ron donned his robe and walked out of the bedroom to cook breakfast while Kim made her way to the shower, considering her husband's comment about the mall.
Later that day, the Possible-Stoppable family arrived at the parking lot of J.P. Bearymore's Pizza Party-torium. The family were all smiles and laughter as they approached the restaurant, but that ceased when Ron pulled on the door handle and the door didn't budge.
"It's locked," Ron said. The family's eyes fell in unison upon the large 'CLOSED' sign.
"That's weird," Kim commented.
Ron pulled out his cellphone. "I'll call Urso Bearymore Jr. and hear what he has to say."
"You have his number?" Kim asked in disbelief.
"I do," Ron said as he dialed some numbers. "Ever since this became Justin and Alexa's favorite place to eat!"
"Hey, Ron, how's my number one customer?" the voice on the other end of the phone asked.
"Mr. Bearymore?" Ron asked. "My son's birthday is today and my wife and I were planning on having it at the Pizza Party-torium. But it's closed when the hours say it should be open."
Bearymore sighed. "The Colorado state government ordered all non-essential businesses to close down as a result of the TEVID Pandemic. As well as word from Washington!"
"What?" Ron asked.
"How do you not know? Some idiot allowed some virus to escape from a lab and it spread across the globe," Bearymore replied. "Governments worldwide have ordered non-essential businesses to close down. The essential businesses are required to have people wear masks and all people must stay six feet apart from each other, no matter the circumstance. Ron…you work for Global Justice, how do I know more about this than you?"
Ron sighed. "Never-mind, I understand. Okay. Bye."
Just as Ron hung up his cellphone, Justin tugged his pants. "Daddy, is everything okay?"
Ron looked down at Justin. "Oh yeah, everything's fine, sport!"
"That can't be good," Alexa commented, shaking her head.
Ron turned to Alexa. "What makes you say that?"
Kim spoke up. "Ron, we can tell something's wrong. So, spill."
Ron hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Okay, that silly virus that everyone is blowing out of proportion has spread worldwide and governments have shut down all businesses that are considered nonessential. Not to mention that we have to wear masks and stay six feet away from people."
"Ah!" Justin gasped as he jumped a short distance from Ron.
Kim turned to Justin. "Justin, you don't have to stay clear of your family."
Justin sighed as he walked back up to Ron. "Sorry, Daddy."
"It's okay," Ron assured.
"Not really," Justin said in a neutral tone. He sniffled as his eyes grew moist. "Now, my birthday's ruined!"
Kim leaned down to hug her son. "Justin, it's not the end of the world."
"Yeah," Ron agreed. "We can still celebrate your birthday at home."
The child was the opposite of encouraged. He took a deep breath.
"Oh no," Kim said.
Justin then let out an earth-shattering scream, louder than his tiny lungs would seem to allow. Kim, Ron, and Alexa covered their ears, as a small crack appeared in the window front of the pizza place.
"Ron, you know that Justin does not like celebrating birthdays at our place!" Kim said with a groan. "Did you forget the fourth birthday party incident?!"
"The one with the presents on fire?! Yes, I remember it!" Ron replied with his voice raised over the scream, still covering his ears.
Kim rubbed their son's back, and it wasn't too long before Justin finished his impossibly loud wailing. Ron looked at the cracked windows of J.P. Bearymore's.
"I hope insurance will cover the damages," Ron said, pointing to the crack. When the family walked back to the old Possible minivan (a gift from Kim's parents) they noticed telltale signs of cracks in those windows as well.
"Wait a minute!" Kim gasped, her subconscious catching up with what Ron had reported. "My mall date with Monique!"
Kim got her smart phone from her purse and called her friend.
Monique Hall, who had pursued the fashion industry, worked as the head of all of Club Banana's online retail and was on the board of directors. She had married Jamarcus Hall, the former star wide receiver of the MHS championship football team back in 2006 and who rose to district attorney for Jefferson County. The wealthy, but down to earth socialite, answered the phone on the first ring.
"Hey, girl! Did you get the bad news?" Monique exclaimed.
"Wait...please don't tell me..." Kim gasped on the other end.
"Sorry, Kim! Mall date has been shot down," Monique announced. "Colorado governor said that all malls across the state must close down to stop the spread of TEVID-20!"
Kim gasped. On the first day in ages they were both free, this had to come up.
"Okay, Monique," Kim said with a nod. "I've got a feeling I've…gotta go... Bye."
"Bye," Monique said before hanging up.
Kim thought to herself that the gold hoop earrings, gold chain around her neck, and wristwatch that she'd dressed up her overalls with (one strap down, of course) for the shopping date were a bit pointless now.
Ron cleared his throat. "So…I think we should just go to Smarty Mart and try to pick up some birthday supplies?"
"Yeah," Kim agreed, her mind falling to her work and wondering why Global Justice hadn't been ahead of informing them on the goings on in the world. "At least something is better than nothing."
The family headed back to the van, and for the first time noticed the sparsity of cars in the parking lot.
"Worst birthday ever," Justin groaned as he and the family climbed into the van and drove off.
The Smarty Mart parking lot, in contrast, was packed with cars and people were pushing heavily laden carts out of the store in seemingly greater numbers than Black Friday sales and Christmastime.
It only took a few minutes inside the big box store to see that the biggest of the crowd was in the paper goods aisle.
"Okay, why are people suddenly in a rush to buy toilet paper?" Kim asked.
"Maybe they all want to T.P. Barkin's house?" Ron said jokingly.
Kim glared at her husband
"What?" Ron asked, with a mischievous grin. "I'd do it."
The family paused and peered down the aisle with shockingly empty shelves, noting the carts piled high with toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues, and Kim cringed when she thought she saw two people fighting over one of the giant bulk packages.
"Seriously, what is the sitch?" Kim asked aloud.
"The virus is the sitch, Possible!" Came a familiar male voice.
The family turned to see none other than Mr. Barkin with an exhausted look on his face and his clothes heavily rumpled.
"Mr. B.?" Ron gasped.
"What happened to you?" Kim asked.
"I was mugged while trying to restock the toilet paper! As you can see, it's our most popular item lately…" Barkin groaned.
"Why are customers obsessed with buying toilet paper?" Ron asked.
"I think it's safe to say they won't be using it to T.P. my house!" Barkin said, giving Ron a knowing look. "I gotta get back to the stock room…and hide," he said, the latter under his breath.
Their former teacher stalked away grumpily, and the two parents looked at each other in shock.
"So what he's saying is that we're going to have to resort to using leaves as toilet paper?" Ron asked with a grimace.
"No, Ron, things can't be that dire," Kim replied, getting out the old model of the Kimmunicator. "I'm going to get to the bottom of this with Wade."
With the push of a button, Wade came onscreen. "Hey, Kim. I was about to call you. I'm sure you're finding out about the toilet paper goods."
"Yeah. Apparently the Smarty Mart here in Middleton has been wiped clean," Kim groaned. "Well...not literally, but..."
"KPS! You made a T.P. joke!" Ron pointed out with a proud giggle.
"It's not just Smarty Mart, Kim," Wade explained. "It's all over the globe! Paper products, cleaning products, and even water shortages are starting everywhere even since before the stay-at-home orders!"
"Wait...stay-at-home orders?" Kim asked.
"Yeah," Wade continued. "This just came hot off the press from Global Justice!" He uploaded a PDF document to the Kimmunicator.
Kim narrowed her eyes as she read and then gasped.
"It says that we have to work from home for the next three weeks starting tomorrow?" she exclaimed.
"I'm afraid so, Kim," Wade said as his face appeared back on the screen. "Which isn't a problem for me, but…well for a field agent like you two… I'll keep you updated."
After the screen went black, Ron thought of something and whispered. "KPS, I know where we can get some T.P."
"Where, and why are you whispering?" Kim asked.
"I don't want anyone else to know that the Middleton Bueno Nacho has a lot of it," Ron replied. "After all the years we've been going there, they've never once had a shortage. I've seen their stock room."
"Daddy, why are we whispering?" Alexa asked, tugging on her father's sleeve.
Kim crossed her arms, both parents ignoring the child for the moment.
"Ron, I don't think it's a good idea to get T.P. from a fast-food restaurant."
"Well, where else are we going to get some?" Ron asked. "And like you said, we aren't going to use leaves."
Kim sighed. "Fine, we can go ask them."
"Booyah!"
Ron walked out of Bueno Nacho to where Kim and the kids waited in the van, his face pale. It took only two minutes to discover, to Ron's shock and dismay, that there was no toilet paper in the Bueno Nacho bathrooms.
"Even Bueno Nacho is out of T.P.?" Kim asked in surprise.
"They even took the one-ply ones..." Ron muttered, taking a seat on the car's hood.
Kim glanced back at the kids playing with their toys in the back seat, and then quietly got out of the van to sit next to her husband.
"Man…this tanks!" Ron grumbled, kicking a small pebble on the asphalt.
"And I think it just got worse..." A familiar nasal voice sighed.
They looked up from the vacant lot to see their old friend Ned, now the manager of the local fast-food favorite, locking the restaurant's doors, the lights having been turned out. The man turned to face them with a solemn expression.
"How worse?" Ron asked. "And how long will Bueno Nacho be closed for?"
"The dining room at this Bueno Nacho will be closed indefinitely because of the pandemic," Ned announced.
"Pandemic?" Kim questioned the word, thinking back to the document Wade had sent her.
"Along with almost every other Bueno Nacho on the planet," Ned finished, resigned.
Ron took a deep breath.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" His scream rivaled his son's as the glass of the light in the lamp post above cracked.

Chapter III
Tumblr media
The first dinner in Barton Park was horrible. Sir John Middleton and Mrs. Jennings made seemingly everything in their power to present you to the guest in the most unfavorable way so that no one sane would consider you a person who could in any degree excite the interest of friendship, or give pleasure as a companion. With sincere and intense conviction you scarcely managed to impress Colonel Brandon, you could only hope he’s already forgotten that evening and with it – inglorious performance of yours.
Intrusive attention of people the circumstances forced you to live with made your days unbearable, therefore you preferred staying in your room at first before finding salvation in long walks in the neighborhood; fortunately, sparsely populated area offered a picturesque scenery, and its breathtaking immensity brought harmony back to your soul. Mrs. Jennings, however, displeased with your obstinate inclination for solitude, never missed an opportunity to express her highest dissatisfaction about your frequent absence. “Young people always choose freedom over a subtle conversation!” knowing nothing in fact about subtlety, she exclaimed dramatically seeing you off every morning with a trace of disappointment on her face.
A week has passed since your arrival. You were getting used to living without your mother and aunt and gratefully accepted all the difficulties you had to face believing this twist of fate would bring valuable experience which would strengthen your spirit and faith and eventually result in good. Having no one to pour out your soul you wrote letters home each day sharing your feelings with the parchment and actually sending just one – of a different kind – describing how much you liked it here and thoughtfully inquiring about your aunt’s health not to discompose your mother who’s been dealing with a lot of trouble afore.
Finished with another note destined to join a plenty of unsent papers safely stored in a drawer you looked out of the window. The weather tempted to get out of doors. In thought about today’s destination, you draw back the curtain to let the sun caress your face as suddenly you noticed a silhouette of a rider far in the distance. Before your eyes could recognize an unexpected visitor, frantic beating of your heart alarmed it was exactly that man who evoked the same strange feeling the day you first heard his footsteps in this house – Colonel Brandon. Unable to give a fair and sensible explanation to such a severe emotional discomfort, you leaned against the wall pondering how to curb confusing agitation within your soul.
Recalling on the previous joint dinner with the colonel and your family you had no desire to come to the man’s sight ever again. If it were not for Mrs. Jennings’ vigorous and determined attempts to cause you the loss of dignity, you would certainly abstain from avoiding the company of a decent respectable person Colonel Brandon undoubtedly was.
The only chance to eschew an unwanted encounter was sneaking through the back door and off in the open. But as ill luck would have it, the guest has already arrived – you ascertained his presence right when heading downstairs. Limbs going numb, you stopped in your tracks. Colonel Brandon smiled amiably and bowed to greet you. However, sharing a word with you seemed destined to never happen.
“What a nice surprise!” you heard Mrs. Jennings exclaim joyfully and a moment later she emerged in the hallway. “I’m afraid Sir John left for Exeter on business. But I assure you, he’ll be back by noon. Let me offer you a cup of tea!”
“Thank you, I was actually…”
“No, no, no! You’re not allowed to refuse!” she broke into exuberant laughter, which brought no spark on the colonel’s face. “Ah, come in! You’re not going to stand in the doorway, my dear, are you?”
Colonel Brandon has surely expected such an unfortunate outcome and was prepared to accept it with courage and generously sacrifice his morning – and with it, what’s more substantial, his mental resources – as a price he would have to pay for the sudden impulse that brought him here. If he were asked what an unfathomable force drove him, he would probably find it hard to answer, be that reluctance to tell the truth or admit it – one would never know since the colonel was of that kind of men who kept their sentiment to themselves.
A quick glance Colonel Brandon gave you before entrusting himself into Mrs. Jennings’ will didn’t go unnoticed.
“Oh, there you are!” she sang out, gesticulating with intense and eager enjoyment. “Come here, child! Welcome our guest!”
“Colonel,” memories from that terrible evening ruthlessly hurting your pride, you tilted your head as a sign of respect and he answered with a delicate smile which, to your relief, suggested no disapproval or contempt.
“The lady spends all days outside!” Mrs. Jennings complained.
It was getting annoying. Not only did she call you a child but certainly treated you as such.
“Would be a shame wasting them indoors, wouldn’t it?” the colonel smiled lively, addressing you. He considerately meant to encourage you, but it made you feel pathetic instead – Mrs. Jennings entirely ruined your image.
Realizing he’s just dampened your spirits, Colonel Brandon instantly regretted indulging himself to frivolity he would ordinarily consider inappropriate and discourteous towards a person he barely knew and subsequently showed a composed serious manner.
“Wouldn’t it be nice, my dear, if you kept her a company from time to time?” Mrs. Jennings asked after a short yet careful observation, delighted with the idea.
You couldn’t believe she was imposing you on the man’s responsibility. Being a gentleman he’d have no choice but to agree. And he did.
“It will be an honor,” he said reticently, in accordance with the rules of convention.

The Bucks...
I say this as an unabashed Spurs fans who bleeds silver and black...
I am incredibly happy that the Bucks won.
The past decade has increasingly seen the rise of super teams where players jump from one team to another to maximise their chances of winning a championship. I can’t blame players for doing that. Winning is hard, and all too often a player’s legacy boils down to whether or not they won a championship, regardless of the context (e.g., Charles Barkley is criminally underrated by people who never saw him play simply because he never won a ring).
As a Spurs fan, I was blessed to have a top ten player of all time who not only stayed with the team that drafted him but also led that team to five championships. I had feared that Tim Duncan would be the last of his kind, that there wouldn’t be any other super stars who stayed with their team even when it was tough just so they could win with the team that gave them a chance.
Giannis proved me wrong, and I am so, so happy that he did.
Looking back on it, I can see why teams passed on Giannis in the draft. He was a scruffy kid with an extremely rough game. Unlike Duncan, he didn’t dominate from the day he set foot on the court. But Giannis believed, and he worked his ass off every single year to improve.
And did he ever improve.
But when the Bucks struggled the past two post-seasons with that heart-breaking Conference Finals loss to Toronto after being up 2-0 followed by that disastrous series against Miami in the bubble, doubts began to emerge. Would Giannis sign the super max? Would he stay with the team that had drafted him when that team kept coming up short?
He’s a smart guy. When Miami built the ‘wall’ to keep Giannis out of the paint, it wasn’t his fault that the Bucks lost. Over and over again he passed out of double and triple teams to open shooters, and over and over again, those shooters failed to knock down their shots. He did what he was supposed to do, and then he got castigated for choking when the truth is that nobody on his team could hit a damn shot when it mattered.
I wouldn’t have blamed him for leaving. I could have understood his frustration, and with the way the league has been going, I figured that he would.
But he didn’t.
He stayed. He believed he had unfinished business in Milwaukee.
He finished that business and then some.
I don’t know if Giannis will stay with Milwaukee his whole career the way Timmy stayed with the Spurs. I hope he does. But I do know that in an era where so many players run when the going gets tough, Giannis dug his heels in and fought. He fought when every else thought his team was trash and wouldn’t get anywhere, he fought when people said that Middleton would never be good enough to help lead a team to a title, and he fought when people said he just relied on his athleticism and didn’t have any skill.
He fought, and he won. Then again, he’s been fighting his whole life, so he knows what it takes to win.
So to the Bucks, their players, and all their fans... enjoy this. It’s been a long time between drinks for you, and I hope that my Spurs can meet your Bucks in the Finals sooner rather than later.
