THE MICHAELSON
EN Let's take a trip to San Sequoia to meet the Michaelson family! I've grown quite attached to this adorable little family, especially since their slightly more colorful makeover 😊
Celeste and Christopher met at a start-up company. When they went for coffee together for the first time, they were amazed at how much they had in common! After their marriage, they adopted Atlas and soon began to spoil him. Now they've also adopted Orion, and the young boy doesn't seem to take kindly to the arrival of his new little sister.

Acceptance and Headaches
Tumblr media
Warnings: None
Copyright: I do not own any Twilight characters or locations. I do own Davina Mikelson and Marcel. I also own the backstory for my OC. I do not condone any copying of this.
Carlisle P.O.V.
No one had answered the home phone and I realized that, as she had only just left the hospital premises, she probably wouldn't be home anytime soon. So I waited.
For some strange reason, the hour seemed to go by tortuously slow for someone that's been alive for three hundred plus years.
Regardless, I finally dialed her number and waited.
"Hello?" The sweet voice on the other side asked.
I regained my composure and then asked, "Is this Davina Michaelson?"
There was a bit of a pause on her end. I could hear her scrapping back her chair and muttering, "I'll be back in a minute." to someone who grunted.
"Yes, this is she." She answered.
Hmm, proper grammar. What else was this young girl going to surprise me with?
"This is Dr. Cullen from the hospital regarding your internship."
"Ah." She said and I could hear the distaste start to seep into her voice.
I quickly replied, "I reviewed it and realized all of the questions on this sheet are ridiculous. I had no idea what the form consisted of. If you could please come in on your next available day to sign and fill out a new sheet that will be more towards the actual medical part of the field."
"Will I have to know my blood type?" She asked.
"No, it's unnecessary." I replied.
She snorted on the other side of the phone and then said, "Is there anything I should know?"
"Basic anatomy." I answered, wondering if she truly could name every bone in the body.
"I'll be in tomorrow then." She replied.
"I look forward to meeting you." I replied before letting the phone click.
There was a knock at the door. "Come in." I called.
Alice danced through the door, Jasper following her. I was just slightly surprised and said, "What can I do for you two?"
Alice was buzzing with excitement, per usual, making Jasper looking excited as well. "We met your soulmate at school today."
That perked my interest, "Did you really?"
"Yes." Jasper said which confirmed everything I needed to know.
"What's she like?" I asked curiously. The idea of having a soulmate after three hundred years was exhilarating and also frightening at the same time, though I'd never admit it. Jasper could probably feel it though.
"She's very different." Jasper answered with just the slightest frown.
"Not like anyone I've ever met before." Alice replied which sent my hopes up. "And, she'll be interning under you!"
"What's her name?" I asked carefully.
"Davina Michaelson." Alice replied.
Davina P.O.V.
Dr. Cullen let me hang up on him and I headed back into the house.
"So?" Sam asked with a raised eyebrow.
"That was Dr. Cullen. He's discarding the internship papers. He wants me to come in for a sort of test on my anatomical knowledge tomorrow." I said, a bit of excitement slipping into my tone.
"Oh." Sam said, but it sounded more like a question.
"I hope I do good on it." I fretted and then smiled. "Anyways, I should head back home. I'd hate to keep intruding on the two of you. I'm sure you have. . . things you want to do."
"Davina!" Sam scowled.
I smirked. I kissed his cheek, realizing his skin was rather hot, and said, "Don't worry, I'll come back soon. I can't resist teasing you."
He chuckled. "Stay safe shorty."
"You too ugly."
I slipped out the house again, starting up the motorcycle, peeling out of the driveway and making my way back to the house.
Once inside, I did my homework before going to the kitchen to make dinner. It was then I realized, looking at the empty cupboards, that I didn't actually have food in the house.
I shrugged my shoulders. I could go without food for one night. It's not like I hadn't done it before.
So I went upstairs, undressing, and climbing under the covers, falling asleep rather quickly.
----------------
The next day, I got dressed in a pair of jeans, combat boots, dark red v-neck short-sleeved shirt, and leather jacket. I hurried with the makeup, accenting my lips with coral lipstick and the eyes with an indigo eyeliner. Then I grabbed my bag, slung it over my shoulder, and made my way outside.
Much to my displeasure, it had snowed last night and the road was slicked with black ice.
I grumbled, dragging the motorcycle out of the garage before I heard a horn honk behind me. I turned, feeling rather anxious at whoever was beeping and saw Sam there with a blue pickup.
I grinned, slamming the garage door down, running to the pickup truck. "Hey Sam!" I said, opening the passenger door, jumping into the truck.
"Hi Dav." Sam replied, shooting me a grin, "Thought you might need a ride this morning."
I laughed. "Thanks."
Then my stomach ruined the mood by growling like a tiger. Sam raised an eyebrow this morning, "You didn't eat?"
"I don't have food in the house yet." I explained sheepishly.
He pursed his lips as he drove down the road, "Did you eat dinner last night?"
My silence was answer enough. He reached behind him- at a red light- and grabbed a box of muffins. "These are Paul's. You can have some."
"I don't know if I want to get on Paul's bad side." I joked as I took the box, setting it in my lap and shifting through it. I only liked chocolate muffins. I couldn't stand blueberry or cranberry yuck! I mean, whose genius idea was it to put fruit in something that was supposed to be a sweet?
"He'll live if you eat some of them." Sam said. "Are you eating lunch?"
I sighed. "I'll eat three meals a day after I go shopping. I just haven't had time in the past two days I've been here. I have lunch at school."
"Good."
I stuck my tongue out at him before taking every chocolate muffin available.
Sam chuckled, "Your sweet tooth still hanging in there then?"
"Never left." I said, ripping open the plastic wrapped muffin before biting into it. I nearly moaned at the sweet taste.
"You're going to get fat if you eat to much sugar. Then you'll be fat and short."
"Better than tall and ugly." I muttered, poking his arm. "Your arms are pudgy, you're one to talk."
"They're muscular, there's a difference." Sam said, rolling his muscles. I rolled my eyes. "It's freezing, where's your shirt?"
"I'm not cold."
"We'll see when you end up in the hospital with hypothermia." I jested. "And when the doc calls I'll just say I told you so."
"I'm sure you would." Sam smirked. "But if you'd ridden that motorcycle to school you would've been the one in the hospital today."
I snorted, "I'm a boss on it. I wouldn't have crashed."
"You weren't even going to put snow chains on it." He pointed out.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Well doesn't matter now. I'm nice and warm in this truck."
"I'll pick you up after school too." Sam said as we pulled in.
"You don't have to." I protested.
"Okay, do you plan on walking?" Sam questioned.
"Hmm, that might work off all the chocolate calories," I said, pretending to think about it. "Alright, fine, I'll accept your ride."
"Have a great day at school." He smirked. He looked out the windshield and I saw Jasper and Alice were standing there, looking at the both of us. Sam's hands tightened on the steering wheel.
"Oh good, Jaspers here!" I said excitedly. "And Alice."
Sam looked at me sharply. "You're not friends with them, are you?"
I frowned, "Well, I don't think so. But we have class together and they seem nice enough." I pecked his cheek. "See you after school Sammy."
I didn't notice the hatred that seemed to flow between Jasper and Sam as I climbed out of the truck, slamming the door behind me. Sam sped past Jasper and Alice as I made my way towards them with a smile, "Hey!"
Alice smiled, dancing towards me in a disorienting way, giving me a hug. "Hello Davina!"
"Was that your boyfriend?" She chirped as she pulled away.
I snorted, "Sam? No. My brother."
"Oh!" Alice said in obvious surprise. She wrinkled her nose a little and then said, "You don't look anything alike."
I chuckled, "Sorry, right. No, I just say he's my brother. But I guess we're just best friends. Anyways, what did you do after school yesterday?"
"We went to visit our dad at the hospital." Alice said.
"Your dad's a doctor?" I asked in obvious confusion.
Jasper laughed, "I thought you were trying to get an intern position under him?"
I blinked my eyes. Wait. Alice Cullen. Dr. Cullen.
I felt like a prize idiot. How had I not noticed that their last names were the same. I started to blush and Alice giggled, an action that sounded like tinkling bells. "He adopted us."
"I see." I said, blushing furiously. "I knew that."
"Sure you did." Jasper drawled in his accent.
"Alright, come on, class is starting soon." I said quickly, changing the subject, grabbing their hands and dragging them behind me towards the history building. I noticed that their hands were ice cold and felt hard as though they were crafted by marble. It was a strange contrast to Sam's boiling hot skin.
I said nothing, dragging them all the way to the classroom before letting go.
We took our seats and I settled into mine, pulling out my book again before Alice commented, "You really like to read?"
"Yes, it's one of my favorite things to do." I replied. "I absolutely love fantasy worlds and reading feels like I can be a part of the world."
"What world would you want to be in the most?" Alice asked curiously.
"Oh, that's a hard question." I replied, biting my bottom lip. "Harry Potter is a really good one, but so is Vampire Diaries."
"Vampire Diaries?" Alice questioned.
I groaned, "No! Please tell me you've never watched Vampire Diaries!"
Alice flashed a guilty smile, "Never even heard of it."
"Jasper?" I growled playfully.
"Nope."
I sighed, "That's it, I'm going to make sure you two watch it."
Alice giggled, "Do you want to come over to our house to watch it?"
"Do you have Netflix?" I asked.
She lifted a delicate eyebrow. "What's Netflix?"
She had to be kidding me.
I breathed in dramatically, "It's official Alice. I'm going to make your entire family watch it."
Alice grinned.
-----------------
Alice, Jasper, and I were walking to the lunch table when a snowball came out of nowhere, smacking into the back of Jasper's head.
I turned around and saw Emmett and Edward there, already making more snowballs.
I ducked behind Jasper, "Jasper, you're my shield."
Jasper chuckled, making his own snowball. Alice, somehow, already had seven made and held one out to me.
I took it gingerly, feeling the cold slush in my hand. It wasn't even really proper snow at the moment.
I flung it, hitting Emmett in the chest.
Emmett growled playfully, "You're going to pay for that one Michaelson."
I squealed, ducking behind Jasper again, clutching the back of his jacket. "Jasper!" I whined.
I could hear Jasper laughing his ass off, his body shaking as he made more snowballs, flinging them at Emmett and Edward.
And then Emmett and Edward were closing in on Jasper, Alice, and I. Rosalie was watching from the sidelines, a scowl on her face, probably because Emmett was getting all wet.
Jasper spun, picking me up in his arms- to my surprise- and making a mad dash for the cafeteria while I yelped. Alice dashed next to us and then Jasper put me down once we made it inside. I giggled, clutching Alice's arm. "We escaped!"
"Do you want to sit with us today?" Alice asked with a grin.
"Sure." I said. "Why not?"
I went up to get food. I made it simple today. Just cola and a bag of chips.
I sat back down at the table next to Jasper, opening the soda and chips and started to eat. All five of them had matching stainless steel canteens and were drinking out of them instead of eating anything.
"Our Aunt made us Tomato soup." Edward said, noticing my stare.
"Your Aunt?" I asked with surprise.
"Yes, Carlisle's sister Esme." Alice chirped.
"Er-"
"Dr. Cullen. His first name is Carlisle." Edward said.
What the fuck? His name was actually really hot sounding.
Oh wait, no, I was supposed to not care. I almost didn't get the internship because of the secretary's jealousy. It would look bad if I thought he was hot. So no, not hot. Not hot at all.
"Oh." I said, nodding before popping a Cheeto in my mouth. "I see."
I started feeling rather comfortable with them, which was something I was scared of. The only person I had ever really been close to had been Sam and him. And as he'd betrayed me, I really didn't want to get close to anyone else.
But I wasn't really viewing them as friends, not really. They all seemed like kids to me, like children. Like my children and that started to scare me even more. I didn't like the unusual feelings. I didn't like not knowing my emotions.
"What book were you reading yesterday?" Edward asked me.
"Oh, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." I answered and then blushed. "I like the original book, but I also prefer anything supernatural so adding zombies to the classic was perfect."
"Why would someone ruin a classic like that?" Alice asked, scrunching her nose.
I scoffed, "Ruin. You obviously haven't read it. It's amazing. Here." I fished the book out of my bag and handed it to her. "I want that back when you're done with it."
Alice took it from me, scrutinizing the gruesome cover. "Do you just like horror?"
I thought about it. "I don't know. Horror doesn't really scare me. I love reading it. But mystical creatures is more my jam, specifically vampires, werewolves, witches, unicorns, dragons, those sorts of things."
Rosalie made a scoffing sound.
"What would you rather be?" Emmett asked in excitement. "A vampire or a werewolf?"
Rosalie shot daggers at him and I think she thought I might've been trying to steal Emmett's attention which wasn't my plan at all. Like I've mentioned before, Emmett is big, obviously very safe, but he looks like a blockhead, and his looks aren't my type.
Edward snorted at that moment, covering it up with his hand. I wondered what he thought was funny.
But besides, I was thinking of them like my children. Scary, scary thought.
"Umm both." I stated.
"Both?" Emmett rolled his eyes. "You can't be both."
"You're another one that needs to watch Vampire Diaries." I muttered under my breath making Alice and Jasper laugh.
"But that's a movie!" Emmett protested.
"TV show." I corrected him.
"Besides," Rosalie said with a scoff, "It's not like they exist in real life either."
I grinned, "Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?"
Emmett, Alice, Jasper, and Rosalie looked at me blankly while Edward grinned and I looked at him expectantly.
"Were you quoting Dumbledore?" He asked, sounding like he was about to start laughing.
I was silent for a moment before breaking out into a smile, "Edward. Congratulations. You are officially my favorite Cullen."
-----------------
It was after school. I had mis read the chart yesterday and realized that I actually had last period gym- which kind've sucked because if it had been fifth period, I could've left before anyone else. Instead, I had to wait around fifth period and then go to class at sixth period and leave with everyone else.
During fifth period, I sat at the lunch table and read a backup book that I had brought with me- The Starless Sea.
It was a very interesting book, introduced with three short stories before switching to the point of view of the main character. The third story being about him and he wonders how he ended up in the book. And then he discovers that there is an underground library which is connected by three symbols: A key, a Sword, and a Bee. There are technically three other symbols- Crown, Feather, and Heart- but those don't have as much depth as the other three.
I kind've wished I could be in this world because it was just like the real world, except there were doors all over the world that led to this underground library. I would never have left the underground library if I was in the world.
In gym, I discovered that Bella was in my class, and I started talking to her. She was terrible at Volleyball, but it also seemed that she was incapable of even walking in a straight line without tripping over her own two feet so there was that.
I hated Volleyball. I wasn't necessarily bad at it, but I wasn't very good at serving and I hated the red spots I got on my wrists from hitting the ball like that.
Back on the army base, we used to play a form of Volleyball that was called 'newcom'. Basically, you caught and threw the ball. You would try not to let the other team catch the ball. If the ball landed in the sand, whoever was closest to the ball was out. You could get team mates back in by catching the ball one handed. If you dropped the ball though (one handed catch or not) you were out. If you threw the ball out of bounds, you were out.
I mostly tried covering for Bella, but it was a bit of a hazard. At least when she fell down, she didn't take me with her.
Once class ended, we headed to the locker rooms. I dressed quickly and found myself walking out with Bella.
"Hi. I haven't really introduced myself. I'm Davina." I said.
"Yeah, I know. I'm Bella." She said quietly.
I smiled a bit. "You're new?"
"Yeah, I moved here from Phoenix."
For a girl from the south, she was quite pale. Almost as pale as the Cullens.
"Kentucky." I said, not mentioning which part of Kentucky I was from. As she was from a big city, it was possibly she had heard about Fort Knox and I didn't really want that getting out here.
She stared at my face for a little bit and then said, "Nice. Why'd you move here?"
I shrugged, "I needed to be on my own. That's all. My parents had a house here so I'm living in it now. You?"
"It's complicated." Bella said.
"Isn't it always?" I asked sardonically and we both laughed a little.
She stopped walking, next to a orange pick up truck. "This your ride?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, my friend Jacob fixed the engine himself. His father Billy is friends with my father." Bella explained.
"Jacob Black?" I asked.
"You know him?"
I moved my head back and forth, "Kind've. I know his father and his older sisters more. I hung out with Sam Uley more though. I kind've remember you. Mud pies."
Bella grinned a little, "I think I remember you, but I'd be lying if I said I completely remembered you."
We both laughed for a moment and then I heard this awful screeching of tires. I turned to see an SUV barreling down, having skidded on a patch of ice.
I reacted quickly, grabbing Bella by the arm, hauling her upwards into the truck bed and then dodging to the side as the Suv hit the truck. I didn't get completely out of the way, the car nudging my leg- a pain shooting up it- and I'd hit the corner of the truck with my rib. I thought that would be it, but the damned car decided it wanted to flip over and I wasn't going to be quick enough to get out of it's way.
The car landed on my right leg as I was almost jerked out of the way.
"Davina?" Jasper's voice.
"Where the hell did you come from?" I groaned in pain. I saw him lift the car inches above the ground to slide my leg out from underneath it. I pretended not to notice.
Luckily, it wasn't bleeding- much- just hurting a lot. I didn't think it was broken though- well maybe. My wrist was certainly sprained though from taking the landing that I did.
Edward was standing in the truck bed, helping Bella to her feet.
"The ambulance is on it's way." Edward informed Bella and me.
"I'm okay, really." Bella muttered. "Davina got me out of the way. How did you do that?"
"What? Lifted you into the truck. Well, for starters. . ." my head spun and I cut off before my sight returned and I said. ". . .you're light. And I've lifted heavier stuff. Plus. . .adrenaline."
Shit, what the hell did I do to my head? It hurt so badly, my sight spinning. I blacked out into Jasper's arms.

Michaelson-Morell
Celeste Michaelson (48) - Atlas Michaelson (30) - Raven Morell (28) - Jameson Michaelson-Reeves (14) - Charity Michaelson-Reeves (13)- Joaquin Michaelson-Morell (1)
Deceased: Caitlyn Reeves, year 20
It has been quite a hard life, both for Celeste for Atlas and for Atlas' oldest children. Loss has been their companion.
Now, after Atlas met Raven, he is hopeful that his family will find peace and tranquility on the island of Sulani.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Celeste Michaelson
Life... has been chaotic for Celeste. She had hoped for a life with Christopher, but she couldn't do it. They divorced, and she let Christopher take the children.
And when he passed... she would always be thankful to Bess for being there, as much as she resented herself for not having been.
But she had tried, in her own way.
And she was glad both Orion and Atlas wanted her in their lives still. She had tried relationships (even living in a poly-marriage there for a while) but none had worked out. Now, she was happy that Atlas had given her this opportunity to be a part of his, and her grandchildren's', life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Atlas Michaelson
Atlas was very young when he and Caitlyn found out that she was pregnant. It was just after Atlas' father Christopher had died in that horrible fire and Atlas with family had moved to Chestnut Ridge and the Johansson-family. It never suited Atlas very well, and he was thankful for the economical help from Bess, Gunnel and Jade so he and Caitlyn could move to their own place.
However, then Caitlyn died. Atlas wondered if he was cursed? Jameson and Charity were 5 and 4 years old, he had to work and Celeste came and went depending on her mood.
It was hard there, for a while.
Then he met Raven. She wasn't scared of his situation, instead she saw a reliable father who did his best.
She moved in 3 years ago and one year ago their son was born. And now, they have just moved to Sulani. They hope for a calmer life, away from the cities and with a lot of nature for the children. And bringing Celeste with them has felt very right too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raven Morell (28)
Raven had met Atlas when he visited her yoga studio. It was a long time since she had had a more resisting customer! He was there, she later learned, because a friend had told him he needed some time away from everything.
When she learned his history her heart broke.
She tried for a while to not fall for him; was she really ready to be a step-mum to two soon-to-be -teenagers? But in the end, she is very glad she chose too. Sure, his whole family seems a bit chaotic, but there is a lot of love there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jameson Michaelson-Reeves
Sometimes he wonders if his family is cursed. But he tries to stay cheerful and he has to say that Sulani seems like a cool place.
And even if he still misses his own mother, he has to say that he likes Raven. And his baby brother is so cute!
Sure, he does have bad moments now and then, but he tries to choose happiness whenever he can.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charity Michaelson-Reeves
She's fine with moving to Sulani. But happy about it? Not yet.
Charity misses her mother. Ok their life in Evergreen Harbor after her passing wasn't perhaps the best, but Charity had a few friends there. And also - that's where she has the memories of her mother. The parks they went to, the people they met...
Yeah, Charity isn't too convinced this move is as good as everyone keeps telling her. But fine, she'll try to adapt.

Joaquin Michaelson-Morell
Mostly a happy baby, this one. He mostly loves the attentions from the big household he lives in!

What Do you Mean the Wedding is Still Going On?

Davina P.O.V.
I sat in the living room the next day with Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett, watching the news. They're were reporting about Seattle at the moment.
A blond news reporter stood on the TV, police car lights on behind her in a dark intersection on a block off street. "Seattle is in a state of terror. Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances. Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live-"
Carlisle turned the TV off as Edward and Bella came into the room, wrapping an arm around my shoulder where I sat between him and Jasper. "It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something."
Emmett was slowly punching his fist into his hand where he sat on the back of the couch instead of actually sitting on it properly.
"Emmett, sit on the furniture right." I muttered under my breath. Emmett didn't listen to me, shooting me a cocky grin instead.
I hadn't told them about Uncle Josh or Dad or whatever I was supposed to call him. I mean, I told them he had died, I just didn't say Victoria was the one who killed him.
Not that Marcel knew who Victoria was. He had just said there was red hair at the scene that they couldn't match to anyone so I was almost certain it was Victoria. I couldn't really think of anyone else.
The only thing I couldn't figure out was why. Surely she couldn't know what Uncle Josh and Marcel had provided me with, could she?
"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting." Jasper said, still staring at the blank TV as he said this. "Quite a few more. And they're undisciplined, conspicuous."
"It's newborns." Edward said.
Carlisle looked up and Bella looked between everyone and then asked, "What, like new vampires?"
"In the first few months after the change." Edward explained.
"That's when we're at our most uncontrollable. Vicious. Insane with thirst." Jasper said. Carlisle tightened his arm around me.
"Something to look forward to." Emmett said. I scoffed.
"No one's trained these newborns, but this isn't random." Jasper said.
"Someone's creating an army." Carlisle said softly.
"Well now we're definitely going to Seattle." Emmett said, getting up off the couch excitedly.
"Like what?" I asked angrily. "Today? Absolutely not."
"An army of vampires?" Bella asked skeptically.
"And they've been created to fight someone." Jasper explained.
"Oh wow, let me guess. Hmm, us." I muttered sarcastically under my breath. "Lucky us."
Edward glared at me while Emmett grinned.
"Mom's right. We're the only clan even close to Seattle." Edward said.
"Regardless of why they were made," Carlisle interjected, "if we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they let it go on this long."
"Maybe they're behind it." Edward and I said at the same time.
Edward continued, "In Italy, I read Aro's mind. He wants me, Alice, and Davina to join him but he knows we'll never choose him as long as our family's still alive."
"An army could solve that for him." Jasper said while Carlisle's arm grew even tighter around me still.
I was going to have to enact my plan. And I was going to have to enact it soon.
-----------------------------
I sat on the kitchen counter, snickering as Carlisle wrapped up Bella's hand. "It's just a sprain. It should heal fairly quickly."
I was observing Carlisle. He was wearing a lovely navy blue sweater with a white collar shirt underneath.
Jasper and Emmett walked in and I noticed the contrasting difference between them in their fancy clothes, and Edward in a sweatshirt. Emmett was wearing a gray vest over a gray shirt, with black dress pants. Jasper was wearing the same thing as Carlisle, just in different colours.
"Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again Bella?" Emmett asked, coming to sit next to me on the counter, pulling me into a side hug.
"I punched a werewolf in the face." Bella said with a slight scoff.
I snickered again.
"Badass. You're gonna be one tough little newborn." Emmett said.
"Tough enough to take you on." Bella jested. I laughed, pushing on Emmett's shoulder but the jokes weren't good for Rosalie who tossed the newspaper aside, walking out the door.
"Don't worry about it." Was all Emmett said.
There was some awkward silence before Edward asked, "Got any new leads?"
"No sign of the intruder. But Victoria continues to make appearances." Jasper said.
I wrapped my arms around Carlisle's neck as he leaned his back against the counter.
Bella left the house to leave the five of us to discussion.
"What about the wolves Mom?" Edward asked.
"If they've found anything they haven't confided it in me. But the last thing Sam said was they didn't have anything." I murmured.
"Mom!" Alice said, running in.
"Yeah?" I asked, unconcerned, kissing the top of Carlisle's head.
"Come on. You need to try on your wedding dress!" Alice said, darting up to me to grab my arm.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, confused, "What now?"
"You're wedding is literally in two days!" Alice scoffed.
"Wait, that's still happening?" I asked, completely taken away.
Alice glared at me, "Why wouldn't it?"
"I- I don't- Seattle- new born vampires- Victoria- Pff- I-"
Alice literally scooped me off the kitchen counter and started pulling me after her.
"Jasper!" I called behind me.
"Sorry Mama." Jasper called back with laughter in his voice.
Upon entering Alice's room, I found Esme waiting for me as well, along with the dress.
"Oh." I whispered, seeing the dress. "Oh, Alice."
"I know." Alice beamed. "It's a little later than the 1640's, closer to the 1700's, but it's close to the style that was done in Carlisle's time. Do you like it?"
"I love it." I whispered, looking at the beautiful wedding dress in front of me.
It was white with long sleeves and a jeweled bodice that was decorated to look like a corset. There were ruffles along the shoulders and the v shape. It was a low V-shape and wouldn't reveal much, but it was also set lower along the shoulders. It came with a pearl necklace that was so small, it was almost like a choker, but I think that was what Alice was going for. There were silver flowers and also white roses on the outside of the dress with was a very fine, see through skirt. The other layers were white silk.

"There will be a train and a veil as well." Alice said giddily.
"Will he like it?" I breathed out.
"He'll love it." Esme assured me.
"Come on! Get dressed! Get dressed!" Alice was pretty much squealing with delight. I quickly undressed, and with Alice and Esme's help, dressed in the wedding dress.
"It fits you perfectly." Esme said.
"I look kind've pale." I muttered.
"Don't worry." Alice said. "Makeup will fix that and if you spend all of tomorrow down at La Push, you'll get a little bit of a tan."
I took her word for it. Maybe I'd get Leah to come sunbathing with me or Seth to go surfing.
"So, um, tell me about the wedding arrangements so I'm not taken by surprise." I said quietly.
"Alright, so," Alice said in delight. "All your bridesmaids will be wearing sky blue."
"I have bridesmaids? As in. . . plural?" I questioned.
"Yep! Me, Rosalie, Emily, and Leah." Alice said happily.
I raised my eyebrows. "Leah said yes to being my bridesmaid? Alongside vampires?"
"Yep." Alice said. "Also, Sam is going to be walking you down the aisle."
I smiled at that. Good old Sam.
"But you will have to pick your maid of honor." Alice said with a shrug.
"How am I supposed to choose?" I asked, confused.
"Well, it can't be a bridesmaid." Alice pointed out. "So that should narrow your options down."
"Esme?" I questioned, "Would you like to be my maid of honor?"
Esme smiled, venom swelling up in her eyes with happiness. "I would love that."
I smiled as Alice helped me out of the wedding dress. "What about the cake?"
Alice snorted, "Vanilla with vanilla icing. Don't worry, I would never forget that."
"It's not going to be over the top, is it?" I questioned carefully.
"Oh no! There's only five layers." Alice replied.
"FIVE!" I asked.
"Well, the wolves love to eat." Alice pointed out.
I paused, "Actually, that's a good point."
"Don't worry, there'll be a lot of food." Alice said. "And Emmett is making sure that there'll be blood too. Since it's us and part of the Denali clan, animal blood will be mixed in with our wine. Meaning that it's mostly blood."
I nodded, "Well at least everyone's going to be happy."
I sighed. I was feeling more and more nervous with every passing moment.
"Don't be nervous." Alice said. "It'll be great. You two absolutely love each other."
"I know." I said, taking in a shuddering breath. "Does Marcel have a part to play in all of this? Or is he not coming anymore?"
"He is. He would've walked you down the aisle but I told him about Sam and about your Uncle Joshua/ Dad relationship thing." Alice said. "I hope you don't mind. Anyways, he thinks it's fair that Sam walks you instead. All the other guests are Quiluete, Courtney and her family from the hospital, Charlie of course, and then I invited Angela and Eric because I know you like them."
I smiled, "You did good Alice."
I checked the clock, "I ought to go."
"Alright, you'll be coming back here, right?" Alice asked.
"Maybe." I said slowly, not wanting to make promises. "We'll see. I'll call though, if I'm not so Carlisle doesn't worry."
"Alright." Both Alice and Esme hugged and kissed my cheek.
Once I was in my SUV though, all the other emotions left me. I drove to Seattle.
---------------
I hunkered down in the back of my car, connecting my laptop to the WIFI of one of the nearby buildings.
I was parked in an alleyway, the car lights off and locked. It wouldn't stop much, but it was enough. I had my gun, stake, and lighter beside me.
I wasn't stupid. I wasn't going to attempt killing anything. But I had to be in Seattle for this plan to work.
I carefully attached the drone to my laptop, setting up a recording process. I had crossed off sections of Seattle with a red marker. I knew exactly where I needed the drone to go.
Marcel and Uncle Josh- for lack of anything better to call him- had given me the army codes to Seattle. These were codes to the high tech security cameras that the army had planted. They had these in every city, in every nook and cranny because. . . well the Government liked to keep tabs on people.
But I wasn't look for people.
I put on a pair of headphones, getting ready with the controller if need be. I scrolled through the laptop, working methodically until I saw a blur on the camera. I paused, clicking the screen into rotation and watched.
In the frame, there was a blue car that upside down, several people were on the screen. There was on, standing with the car door above his hand and I watched- and recorded- as he slammed it into the ground.
Two of the people dropped another, who fell lifeless to the floor. I quickly turned up the audio as the man started to speak, "Something's coming."
His voice was smooth. I quickly upgraded the camera quality with an amplifier. I recognized his face, he was on all the missing posters in Seattle. Charlie was working on his case. Riley something.
"Something bigger than any of us alone. And if you can't control yourselves, we're all going to die." He finished the lovely sentence. He shook his head, looking at the damage they had caused and said, "What's done is done, just clean up after yourselves." He waved a hand at the fire that was set behind the car and the human bodies in the alleyway. I shuddered.
He moved out of the frame and I quickly clicked to the next frame, to see if I could track him. Instead, I was met with another site.
It was a side view of the bridge, revealing that there were four, cloak wearing vampires standing there. I recognized all of them and froze, afraid all of a sudden they would realize I was watching them. Felix and Demetri were on the outsides with Alec and Jane on the inside. They were staring down at the mess the vampires were making.
I quickly clicked over to the camera closer to them, double checking to make sure that the laptop was still recording. I wanted to be able to hear them.
"They've already drawn too much attention." Demetri spoke first. I loved Demetri. Not like Carlisle of course, nothing like Carlisle. But if I could have a favorite in the Volturi clan- Demetri was it. I almost considered him an ally.
"So has our inaction." Felix said and he was right. It was making the Cullens suspicious. "Others may begin to question the Volturi's effectiveness."
"Let them." Jane said and my eyes widened. I turned up the volume to make sure I was hearing this properly.
Felix turned his back, walking away from them and said, "Maybe we should consult with Aro."
Jane turned to face him and Felix suddenly fell to his knees, his back arched in pain.
"Aro's decisions are being watched." Jane said.
SO THEY KNEW!
She let go of Felix and he fell flat on his face.
"We must decide." Jane said.
My heart was beating in my chest, my body shaking.
Alec stepped forward, placing a hand on Jane's shoulder, "Then decided sister. It's time."
"Yes it is." Jane said. Her voice was to girly and light for a monster. Her and Alec turned back to overlook the destruction while Felix got to his feet. "Either we let them do what they were created for, or we end them."
She made it sound like she was deciding what she should have for breakfast tomorrow morning.
"Decisions, decisions."
I was literally holding my breath. If she decided not to end them, then we would have to end them. And it meant that the Volturi- at least Jane and Alec- were willing to let the Cullens be destroyed.
And then, they were gone. I gasped and then quickly changed frame rates and I found them, leaving the city. I shuddered. They were going to let the vampires live. This- this was not good at all.
-----------------------
I was dressed, once again, in my wedding dress. Except this time, Rosalie was in the room too. Rosalie was working on making the curls that Carlisle favored over every other hair style. Esme was helping wherever she could while Alice did my makeup.
My heart was beating out of my chest. They all thought it was nerves for the wedding. But I was terrified about the Volturi's decision. I remembered Edwards' words very clearly. Aro wanted me, Edward, and Alice by his side. If Rose, Em, Esme, Jas, and Carlisle were dead, we might go. Well. . . they would. I would not. I knew I could not live without Carlisle.
If Carlisle were to die before I was a vampire, I would move to La Push. Becoming active in the werewolves. I had thought once I might go to Volterra, become one of them, maybe even be with Demetri should fate allow it. But this. . . this wasn't Carlisle deciding he didn't want to be with me. No, this was Jane deciding my family should be ended.
I would never be allies with someone like that. For me to become one of the Volturi, Jane would have to die.
Alec too.
And Aro would never kill them.
"Davina, breathe." Alice said and I popped my eyes open, remembering where I was. "It's not that big of a deal."
"Right. No. Of course." I muttered.
Alice pursed her lips and said to Esme, "Leah and Emily are here."
Esme nodded and she was gone. I had told Leah and Emily that Esme would help them. Emily was quite fine with this, though Leah was far more reluctant. But I told Leah she would be Less annoyed with Esme working on her than if Alice or Rose worked with her and she reluctantly agreed.
The Denali clan was not here yet- and they would also show up straight to the church. Marcel on the other hand, was already here, chatting with Carlisle and the others downstairs. He hadn't met Rose or Esme yet- probably wouldn't until we got to the church.
Jacob, Paul, and Jared had laughed their asses off about me marrying a vampire in a church. Snickering about holy water and crosses. I had glared at them silently until they had become very quiet.
Once Alice started working on my eye makeup, I closed my eyes, slipping back to thinking about my short time in Seattle and working the cameras. I had downloaded the file several times, backing it up on different devices, sending it to several different emails, and downloading it onto six different flash drives. I had given one to Sam, telling him to keep it safe. I had also given one to Billy, telling him to keep it safe. Carlisle had one and I had hidden the other three. I had also told Sam, Billy, and Carlisle not to look at them unless I said so, saying they were useless for now.
I kept my thoughts controlled around Edward so that even he didn't know what I knew.
I wasn't entirely sure why I was keeping this a secret. Maybe because Carlisle believed in the Volturi so much and their laws. I didn't want to crush his faith.
Everything came back to Carlisle.
I wanted to know who Riley was working for. If it wasn't the Volturi. . . was it Victoria?
"Okay." Rose whispered, "The men left for the church. And Sam is here."
I stood up, slipping on the white, cream coloured heels that Rose had let me borrow. The dress was new. Esme had gifted me an old pair of pearl earrings that she never wore and thought I would enjoy. Not to mention, it would match my pearl choker and they were also something old.
I just needed something blue.
Sam was waiting for me at the foot of the stairs, along with Leah and Emily, both wearing dresses of sky blue. Alice had made sure that each girl got a dress that made her look absolutely stunning and though I was the girl of the day, Sam was having a hard time keeping his eyes off of Emily.
[Leah: Bottom. #5. Emily: Top #3. Rosalie Top #5. Alice bottom #2]

"You look beautiful." Sam said, kissing my cheek. He looked absolutely wonderful in his black suit. He was wearing a light blue tie to match the dresses and I was going to guess Alice had forced him into wearing it.
I smiled, kissing his cheek back. "Thank you Sammy."
"Davina." Marcel's voice came. He was in his military uniform and I smiled.
"Hey." I whispered. Alice was fixing the veil slightly.
"This is for you. Something blue. You can keep it." Marcel chuckled, holding out a pin.
"Your Combat Infantry badge." I whispered, taking the badge and handing it to Alice. She fixed it in with my hair, near the crown with the veil. "Thank you."
"It's not mine." Marcel said softly. "It was your fathers."
I felt the lump in my throat grow and Alice growled, "If you make her cry I will rip your head off."
Marcel chuckled. He had that infectious laugh so I laughed too. Alice sighed, "Time to get to the church before you start crying."
I rolled my eyes at Sam.
Once we were at the church, I found myself even more nervous than before. Marcel went off to sit in the crowd. Esme was already at the alter- she had left before us. Rosalie, Alice, Leah, and Emily prepared to walk down the aisle and I felt like throwing up.
"Davina, everything is going to be fine." Sam said.
"No, I know." I muttered, lacing my arm through his as the band started to play and my bridesmaids left. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"Being here. I know. . . I know this isn't the particular marriage you would've wanted me to do. So it means a lot, that you're here, supporting me." I whispered.
"He makes you happy. And I know he'll both protect you and he won't hurt you. And I love you enough to want you to be happy, even if he is a vampire."
I chuckled and then there was the cue for us to start walking. "Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't let me fall."
"I won't."
Sam and I walked down the aisle, through the parting curtain, and my breath caught in my throat upon seeing Carlisle.
He was wearing a black satin suit, a crisp white shirt underneath, and a white tie to match the colour of my dress.
His eyes lit up, a small knowing smile on his face as he looked at me. I was suddenly thankful for the veil that gave my face some coverage, because I was sure that my cheeks were bright red.
Sam kept his grip firm, his skin hot under his suit, but not uncomfortable. I knew it would be a short time before I was ice cold and we wouldn't be able to touch each other. So I relished in it. We reached the end of the line and Sam took my hand, placing it in Carlisle's out stretched hand.
"Take care of her Carlisle." Sam said in a husky voice.
"Forever." Carlisle murmured.
Sam knew he would keep that promise.
Sam let go of my hand, going to sit with the Quileutes on the opposite side of the room as the vampires.
The priest- completely and totally human by the way knowing nothing of the two secrets- was the one to conduct the ceremony.
Honestly, I didn't even hear anything he even said. All I knew was that it felt like I was standing there for years until Carlisle said, "I do."
Oh shit. Did I miss my part?
"Davina Michaelson, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in holy marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor, and keep him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?" The priest asked.
There were so many things wrong with this vow and I was surprised that Alice hadn't asked him to change it. But I supposed as I had grown up Methodist, it was the one thing for me. Everything else- the church, the ring, the dress, the veil, the train, everything was Catholic for Carlisle. This one vow was Methodist for me.
"I do." I whispered.
"Then by the power vested in me by the holy spirit, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
My heart was beating out of my chest as Carlisle raised his hands, sweeping the veil back with ease before capturing my lips with his own. My eyes fluttered shut as I basked in the kiss. And then, we slowly pulled apart as the crowd started to clap. I could hear wolf whistling from the wolves and Carlisle and I both laughed lightly together.
Slowly, everything melted into reception. There were endless dances of course. Carlisle and I opened up the dance naturally. He was a flawless dancer and his strength gave him the ability to make sure I could dance just as smoothly, even if I wasn't moving my own feet.
Sam naturally danced with me next and I took alternative turns with my vampire children and my wolf children with Carlisle in between every single one of them.
Jared had brought Kim, never letting her go until he danced with me. Embry took her for a spin, one of the only people Jared probably would trust with Kim. Wolves didn't go after other wolves mates.
Carlisle also introduced me to the Denali clan. There were four- as Irina wasn't here- and they were stringently avoiding the wolves, seeming disgusted- at least Tanya and Kate were- with my friendship with them, though they made sure not to show in front of me. It was poorly disguised though. Neither Carmen nor Eleazar seemed particularly bothered with it though.
Eleazar had once been part of the Volturi. He reminded me a bit like Felix, with the height, build, black hair colour, and even the way his hair was styled. Carmen was also dark haired, which was in contrast to Tanya and Kate's blondness. The only difference was that Tayna's hair was curled while Kate's was straight.
I admit to getting slightly jealous when Tanya and Kate danced with Carlisle, but I made sure not to show it. It didn't matter. This was our wedding and Carlisle would never cheat on me.
I noticed however, that Marcel and Esme danced quite a few dances together and I stopped to observe them, a smirk on my face. After the last dance, Marcel kissed the back of Esme's hand before catching my eye and heading over.
"What's that look for?" He asked, holding his hand out for me to dance.
"See someone you like?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Marcels already dark cheeks flushed darker. "She is quite a beauty." He sighed, "But I don't know if she likes me or if she was simply indulging me."
"Esme doesn't play with feelings." I said softly. "And at the same time. . . there are certain mindsets you ought to prepare for if you were to. . . become far more intimate with her. She is very. . . old-fashioned."
"Like Carlisle." Marcel nodded.
"Exactly." I muttered.
"What century is your dress style after?" Marcel asked in blatant curiosity.
"The late 1600s, early 1700s." I answered calmly. "You like?"
"You look absolutely lovely." Marcel assured me. He smiled a little and then said, "It is much better than what others had planned originally."
Yes, Azim's mother had been planning our wedding for some time even when he hadn't proposed. She had shown me traditional wedding clothes from Iraq. There was a headdress I was required to wear and the veil wasn't supposed to be lifted higher than my lips. Not to mention she had picked a wedding dress that covered every inch of my skin.
"I'm happy." I whispered. "I've never been so happy and it. . . sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me."
Marcel shook his head, "Nothing at all beloved. You are simply in love. True love."
The dance ended and Marcel kissed my cheek. I smirked, "Tell Esme I said hi, won't you?"
Marcel glared at me before smirking and making his way back to Esme.
"Davina!" Alice sang, dancing over. "It's time to cut the cake!"
The cake was huge naturally. It had five layers, just as Alice had said and each layer was a different flavor. But apparently the top and bottom were both vanilla. The flowers were also frosted- not real like I originally thought- sticking to the cake. The leaves were also edible, along with all the other decorations make of fondue.
Tumblr media
Carlisle stood behind me, one arm wrapped around my waist, the other over my hand as we cut down into the cake. I shoved a piece of cake into his mouth- as custom- and he swallowed it without making a face, which was impressive. He gave me a much smaller piece- he was far nicer than I was- and it was absolutely delicious.
We fed the wolves cake last- so that the other guests would have some- while all the vampires said they were 'full'.
Originally with the garter and flower toss, we had wanted to do Emily and Sam on purpose. However, with Leah in the crowd, I didn't want to hurt her. So instead, Carlisle shimmied the garter down my leg, making me blush bright red and sent it straight into Edward's face. Meanwhile I turned my back, flinging the bouquet high into the air, straight into Bella's unsuspecting hands.
Leah sent me a look that said 'thanks'. I nodded slightly, smiling a little before Carlisle swooped in for another dance.
"Your brother is getting to close to my sister." Carlisle grumbled, pulling me flush against his chest.
I glanced over my shoulder quickly to see that Marcel and Esme were dancing together once again. Esme, being my maid of honor, was wearing a light blue dress to match the bridesmaids, but hers had more flourish and jewels down the front. It was also make mostly of almost see through silk instead of light blue fabric. She looked stunning in it and Marcel wasn't the only man in attendance that couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Billy Black looked rather reluctant that he couldn't dance, before quickly turning his attention to something else every time he realized he was staring. But his eyes always seemed to drift back to Esme.
Tumblr media
Personally, I though either Billy or Marcel could make Esme happy. But I also thought that with the complications, Billy would technically be better. She wouldn't have to explain to him about vampires and werewolves- he already knew.
The flipside would be if the Volturi found out about their relationship and whether they would make Billy be a vampire or not. I wondered if Billy would choose love over morals or if he would rather die. I also wondered if becoming a vampire would heal his legs and make him able to walk.
Marcel on the other hand was literally born to be a vampire. You had to be with the name 'Marcel'. In The Originals, the character with the name 'Marcel' was the head vampire and by the end of it, became a very powerful vampire. More powerful than the Mikelsons.
But then there was also the complication of actually telling Marcel about vampires and werewolves. Not to mention, once again, the idea of whether he would actually want to be a vampire and also the Volturi.
"Does it bother you?" I asked him slightly.
He looked down at me, his golden eyes penetrating, his smile warm. "No." He bent down to kiss me. "I say we should leave, don't you?" Carlisle chuckled, kissing me underneath my ear.
"Most certainly. Before Lord pops out and things escalate in front of the crowd." I teased. We were just going to sneak out of the reception, but Emmett, Jasper, Edward, and Alice stopped us, forcing us to walk out the front doors, running as they- and everyone else- threw rice. And unfortunately with both vampires and werewolves in the crowd, the handfuls were rather accurate.
"Remind me whenever they all get married to return the favor." I muttered as Carlisle and I slipped into the car and he sped out of the church parking lot. I took off my shoes, dumping the rice out the window.
Carlisle chuckled, sweeping one hand over my hair. Rice grains cascaded down and I sighed, shaking my head. "Vampires have excellent senses and all, but I'm telling you you're never going to get all the rice grains out."
"No, probably not." Carlisle laughed.
"So. Where are going?" I prompted. "I thought we weren't going to have a honeymoon?"
"It's not an official one." Carlisle agreed. "We're going to California."
"Very sunny." I said slowly. "Excellent excuse for us to stay inside all day."
Carlisle smirked, "Duly noted love."
I pulled out my phone, opening up Wattpad, and selecting a Harry Potter fanfiction to read.
"I'll leave you alone if you tell me the title of the book you're reading." Carlisle smirked, snaking one hand over to grab one of mine. It was hard to read with one hand, but I didn't mind as I loved holding his hand more.
I paused, knowing very well I couldn't just say it was a oneshot called Our Naughty Little girl between Severus x Remus x Y/N.
"Er. Midnight Tasting." I lied. "By um ."
"Never heard of it." Carlisle sounded intrigued and I tried not to burst into a fit of nervous giggles.
"Oh well, um, it's not like. . . a real story. It's called a fanfiction. Where people take other people's stories and they um. . . change them to fit better. Like um. . ." I wracked my brain to see if I could figure out a famous fandom that he knew. "Well I guess like the Vampire Diaries that we've been watching. Some people ship Stefan and Elena. Others ship Damon and Elena. So sometimes, they'll write stories that don't go with how the tv show went. Or other times, they'll invent a whole character and stick them in the book and change some of the events. And other times, they will write stories that make it sound like you're in the story. They use 'Y/N' which means 'your name.'"
"Huh." Carlisle said, speeding down the highway. "That's very interesting."
I flushed, "Yeah. My favorite are the mature ones. They're um. . . more detailed oriented."
I grinned because he had no idea what I was saying. I finished reading the oneshot, feeling thoroughly aroused before moving onto another story. Damn, not smut.
I hated being robbed.

Eli Michaelson, known for his towering intellect and unyielding arrogance, rarely exhibited a tender side. But as he stood in the kitchen with his five-year-old daughter, a hint of a smile played on his lips. "Come here, you little rascal," he said, his voice softer than usual as he lifted her onto a sturdy chair next to the kitchen counter.
"Hold still," Eli instructed, adjusting the chair until it was secure. "If you're going to help me with these cookies, we can't have you tumbling over."
You beamed up at him, the thrill of being involved in the cookie decorating making your eyes sparkle. "I can help, Daddy! I’m good at sprinkles!"
Eli chuckled, handing you a small bowl filled with colorful sprinkles. "Just don’t go overboard, alright? We don’t want more sprinkles than cookie."
Your tiny hands grabbed a handful of sprinkles, eyes wide with concentration as you carefully let them fall over the cookie dough. A few missed, scattering across the counter, but you were too focused to notice.
Eli watched you with a bemused expression, his usual stern demeanor softened by the sight of your determined efforts. "Not bad," he said, nodding approvingly. "You might just have a knack for this after all."
You glanced up, beaming at the rare praise. "Look, Daddy! I made it all sparkly!"
Eli leaned closer, inspecting the sprinkle-covered cookie with exaggerated seriousness. "Indeed you did. It seems you’ve inherited at least some of my precision." He handed you a small brush, his eyes twinkling. "Now, try spreading the icing evenly. It’s all about technique."
You took the brush, carefully applying the icing, your tongue poking out in concentration. Eli guided your hand, his large fingers steadying your small ones as you worked together to create a perfectly frosted cookie.
"See?" Eli said, his voice low and encouraging. "Just like that. Nice and even. You're doing a great job."
You giggled, delighted by the rare moment of collaboration. "I’m good at this! Maybe I’ll be a scientist like you and make cookie experiments!"
Eli's chuckle was warmer this time, a genuine amusement lighting up his eyes. "Perhaps," he said, ruffling your hair. "But for now, let's focus on getting these cookies baked. We can experiment with the flavors later."
You looked up at your daddy, a question forming on your lips. “Daddy, can we show Mommy the cookies now?”
Eli glanced toward the hallway leading to the bedroom, his smile fading slightly. “We will, but after we bake them. Mommy is resting now.”
“But why?” you asked, your brow furrowed in confusion.
“Because,” Eli began, carefully choosing his words, “your little brother, who isn’t born yet, is making Mommy very tired. He keeps kicking her in the belly all night.”
You stared at your father, trying to make sense of what he was saying. “But I don’t see any baby.”
Eli chuckled softly, crouching down to your level. “He’s still inside Mommy’s belly, growing until he’s ready to come out. That’s why Mommy gets so tired sometimes.”
You frowned, still puzzled. “But why does he kick her?”
“Well, babies do that before they’re born,” Eli explained, his tone unusually patient. “It’s their way of moving around and getting comfortable. Just like you might wriggle in your bed to find the perfect spot."
“I don’t understand,” you said, shaking your head slightly, “but I don’t want Mommy to be tired.”
Eli's eyes softened, and he placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. “I know. That’s why we’re letting her rest. When she wakes up, she’ll be very happy to see the cookies we made. So let’s finish decorating them, and we can surprise her.”
You nodded, feeling a little better. “Okay, Daddy. I want Mommy to smile.”
Eli smiled back, a rare warmth in his gaze. “She will. Now, let’s make these cookies perfect. Remember, nice and even with the icing.”
You turned back to your task, the mystery of the kicking baby momentarily set aside as you concentrated on the cookies. With your father guiding your small hand, you felt a surge of determination to make the best cookies ever—for Mommy and your soon-to-be little brother.
As the last of the cookies were decorated, you turned to your father, your mind drifting to the recent events at kindergarten. “Daddy,” you began, “guess what happened today?”
Eli, engrossed in kneading more cookie dough, responded absentmindedly, “What’s that, sweetie?”
“I have a boyfriend now,” you declared proudly, a beaming smile on your face.
Eli’s hands froze mid-knead. His head snapped up, eyes wide as he processed your words. Dropping the dough, he turned to you, lifting you gently by your armpits so that you were eye level with him. “Repeat that, please,” he demanded, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
“I have a boyfriend!” you repeated cheerfully. “His name is Lionel, and he’s six! He shares his colored pencils with me.”
Eli’s face contorted with a mixture of shock and disbelief. “A boyfriend?” he sputtered. “You? But you’re only five! You’re far too young to be thinking about boyfriends!”
Your innocent gaze met his, clearly not understanding his agitation. “But Daddy, Lionel is really nice! He lets me use the red pencil, even though it’s his favorite. And he’s older, so he knows lots of things.”
“Older?” Eli’s voice cracked slightly. “Six is not older! It’s... it’s barely older! And sharing pencils isn’t... I mean, that doesn’t mean he’s your boyfriend!” He set you down on the kitchen floor, his mind racing.
“He said he wanted to be my friend,” you explained, your brow furrowing at your father’s reaction. “And then he said he would be my boyfriend if I wanted. I said yes because he’s nice.”
Eli paced the kitchen, running a hand through his hair, clearly flustered. “This... this Lionel—he can’t just... You can’t have a boyfriend until you’re at least... well, much older! Like... 40!”
“40?” you echoed, confusion etched on your face. “But that’s so old! Why can’t I have a boyfriend now?”
“Because,” Eli stammered, grasping for a reason that would make sense to a five-year-old, “because boys can be... tricky! They might not always share their pencils, and... and you don’t need to worry about boys. You should be focusing on... on cookies! And learning! And... and... not boys!”
You giggled at your father’s flustered state, completely oblivious to his growing panic. “But Daddy, Lionel is just my friend who shares. And he’s really nice. You don’t have to worry.”
Eli sighed, kneeling down to look you in the eye, trying to regain his composure. “Okay, listen. It’s great that you have friends, but calling someone your boyfriend is a big deal. Let’s just call Lionel a friend, okay? No boyfriends until... until you’re much, much older.”
You tilted your head, considering his words. “Okay, Daddy. I’ll call him a friend. But can I still play with him?”
Eli’s shoulders relaxed slightly. “Yes, you can play with him. But remember, just friends. No... no boyfriends.”
“Okay,” you agreed, though you still didn’t quite understand what the fuss was about. You turned back to the cookies, humming to yourself, while Eli, still shaking his head, returned to the dough, muttering something about needing to scare off all potential suitors.
As you continued decorating the cookies, you couldn’t help but wonder why your father had reacted so strongly. But the sight of the cookies and the fun of baking with your dad soon distracted you, leaving you blissfully unaware of Eli’s ongoing internal crisis about your future suitors.
The next morning, Eli made a rare appearance at your kindergarten. Standing by the playground, he scanned the crowd of children with a mixture of curiosity and impatience.
His gaze froze when he saw you emerging from the classroom, your small hand wrapped around that of a blond boy about your age. Your fingers were intertwined, and both of you were giggling.
Eli’s stomach dropped. His mind raced, connecting dots in a way that made perfect sense to his scientifically inclined brain: this was Lionel, the boy you had been talking about. The very cheeky boy.
Beside him, Sarah, Eli’s wife, noticed his reaction and placed a calming hand on his arm. “Eli,” she said gently, “they’re just kids. It’s perfectly innocent.”
“Perfectly innocent?” Eli muttered, frowning deeply. “He’s holding her hand, Sarah. Look at him. Bold as brass.”
Sarah chuckled softly, squeezing his arm. “Eli, they’re five. He’s not planning to elope with her. Relax.”
But Eli’s eyes narrowed as you and Lionel approached, still holding hands. The boy’s blond curls and bright eyes seemed, in Eli’s view, suspiciously confident. Eli bent down slightly, folding his arms across his chest as the two of you reached him.
“Daddy!” you exclaimed, beaming. “This is my friend Lionel!”
Lionel looked up at Eli with a wide, innocent smile. “Hi, sir. I’m Lionel. We were playing knights and dragons, and I was the knight protecting the princess.”
“Were you now?” Eli said, his voice tight. He glanced at you, then back at Lionel, trying to keep his irritation in check. “And who exactly appointed you as her protector?”
Lionel blinked, clearly not expecting such a response. “Uh, she did. I’m good at protecting. It’s fun!”
Eli’s eyes narrowed further. “Is that so? And what makes you think you’re qualified for such an important role?”
You tugged on your father’s sleeve, looking confused. “Daddy, we’re just playing. Lionel is my friend.”
Eli forced a smile, though it looked more like a grimace. “Yes, I see. Well, Lionel, you should know that I take my daughter’s protection very seriously. Very seriously indeed.”
Lionel nodded earnestly, his smile faltering a little under Eli’s intense gaze. “Okay, sir. I’ll be a good protector.”
Sarah, watching this exchange with a mixture of amusement and exasperation, stepped in. “Why don’t we all head home? I’m sure you two have had enough knightly adventures for one day.”
As you waved goodbye to Lionel, who ran off to his own parents, Eli stood up straight, his eyes following the boy with a scrutinizing look. “Cheeky,” he muttered, shaking his head. “Too cheeky by half.”
Sarah chuckled as she took your hand. “Eli, he’s just a little boy. You’re overreacting.”
Eli sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Maybe. But I don’t like him getting too close. Not yet.”
You looked up at your father, puzzled by his serious expression. “Daddy, why don’t you like Lionel? He’s nice.”
Eli softened, crouching down to your level and brushing a strand of hair from your face. “It’s not that I don’t like him, sweetheart. I just… I want to make sure you’re safe and happy. Always.”
You smiled, reassured by his words. “I am happy, Daddy. Lionel’s fun.”
Eli managed a small smile in return, though his eyes remained wary. “Alright, if you say so. But remember, if anyone bothers you, you tell me right away.”
You nodded enthusiastically. “I will, Daddy!”
As you walked to the car, chattering about your day, Eli couldn’t help but glance back at the playground, still half-expecting Lionel to reappear. Sarah gave him a knowing look. “You’ll have to let go a little, Eli. She’s growing up.”
Eli sighed, opening the car door for you. “I know, I know. But does she have to grow up so fast?”
Sarah smiled, patting his arm. “She’ll be fine. And so will you. Now, let’s get home and see if any of those cookies are left.”
Eli gave a small nod, watching you climb into the car. As he closed the door, he muttered to himself, “Cheeky little blond…” but a hint of a smile tugged at his lips. For now, he could let it go. But he’d be keeping a close eye on this Lionel in the future.

THE LEMONADE SAVE V3.5
Finally! Another update! I made it before the horses! And I finally made a new promo image!
Before I get into what’s changed, a quick primer on what this  save is all about: I wanted a diverse save with all the drama we got  back in the Sims 2 days. I call it the Lemonade Save because the Sims 4 is lacking in all that. When EA gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
Here’s what’s new/updated:
Updated ALL existing families with family dynamics.
Made over all San Sequoia sims and added new families. All new families have relationships (good and bad) with existing sims.
Tweaked existing sims using new in-game assets.
Added new townies.
As always, this save only includes new and updated sims. The builds are untouched. Due to how The Sims 4 culls relationships, some of the the relationships I created may go poof eventually unless you use a mod that corrects this.
This save requires no cc and uses the following DLC:
Tumblr media
DOWNLOAD : SIMFILESHARE | MEDIAFIRE (NO ADS EVER!)
Back up your existing saves before installing. To install, just place the save file into your Sims 4 Saves folder. This save fills slot 9992f so hopefully it won’t overlap with any of your existing ones. If it does, just rename it.
Look for the save called LEMONADE SAVE V3.5 when you open the game to play.
@maxismatchccworld @public-ccfinds @alwaysfreecc (thanks!)
Just want the new sims? There are direct links via the gallery under the cut.

Kyle was unchanged. Kyle is perfect.

3.17 Branching Out
Tumblr media
Damien had just announced to the staff that he was no longer the CEO of Rainy Day Entertainment. The crowd erupted in gasps and people turned to their coworkers to speculate about what was going on.
Damien held up his hand. “Please, before everyone begins to panic, let me explain.” Their voices began to quiet down as everyone looked at Damien expectantly. “I’m grateful for the time I’ve spent at Rainy Day, and I have a lot of respect for the work that’s being done in the company. But that’s not where my passion lies.”
Tumblr media
Damien began looking around the room. “My passion is here, in this room. When I decided to expand my role at Rainy Day to producing new forms of digital content, I thought I could still handle my regular duties. Now I realize I don’t have the time to continue my work in the E-Sports division and also foster the work we're doing here. So as of today, Sunny Side Studios is branching off and a new CEO will be taking over my duties at Rainy Day."
Tumblr media
The crowd once again erupted with questions. Johnny glanced back at Lucy to gauge her reaction; surely she would know more about the situation. He was relieved to see a relaxed smile on her face.
Tumblr media
Damien continued, “I want to assure you that his won’t affect anyone’s pay and I’m not letting anyone go. We’re only getting bigger. We’re still a part of the Rainy Day family, but I'll be devoting all of my time here. And this building?”
Damien gestured around. “The whole thing belongs to us now. That means more expansion, more content, more staff members. Speaking of, there are a couple of people I want to introduce to you.”
A man and a woman who both looked familiar to Johnny turned the corner, both smiling warmly.
Tumblr media
“These two amazing people are Celeste and Christopher Michaelson," Damien explained. "If you’re a video game fan, which you should be"--he paused and gave a knowing look the to the staff, who responded with laughter--"I’m sure you’ve heard of them. Christopher will be joining the team as my new Production Manager, and Celeste as Creative Director. They’ll be working with us on developing new projects. Celeste?”
Tumblr media
“I know this must come as quite a shock," Celeste acknowledged. "But I promise these changes will only lead to more growth and more opportunities for everyone here. Christopher and I would love to hear all of your ideas and suggestions for where to take things from here.”
“Our ears and offices are open to you,” Christopher chimed in. “Everyone is here because you bring something to the table, so we want to hear from you before we add on any more team members.”
Tumblr media
“Celeste, Christopher, and I will be meeting with each department over the next few weeks to hear your suggestions and concerns, so please don’t hesitate to speak your minds. Together, we’re going to make Sunny Side Productions really shine.” The staff began to clap and cheer.
Tumblr media
Lucy stopped to talk to Johnny briefly before joining Damien, Celeste, and Christopher in a planning meeting. "You have nothing to worry about," she promised him, seeming to have noticed his apprehension. "This is going to be a good thing."
