kissing leaf. - c.s
(coriolanus snow x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: due to pressure over your poor doll heart, being under the kissing leaf with coriolanus snow felt like the end of the world. even worse when your colleagues started cheering you both to kiss.
c.w: enemies to lovers (they're in denial lol), kissing, fluff, just a light hearted way to say merry christmas to you guys, bpth under pressure
celebrating christmas on the academy felt like a fever dream to you. seriously, who would want to spend such a special time inside an academy instead of your house, with your loved ones?
well, it seemed like the entire academy did.
you were helping with all the ornaments, putting the star on top of the tree woth the help of sejanus and festus, never once stopping to talk to the platinum blonde boy that already collided on you three times. you didn't even stop on your tracks to tell him to look where he's going, you didn’t want to ruin your christmas with cat fights with him.
"snow!" you heard clementia call, and he turned to look at her, making your face meet his chest and almost fall, haven't it been his desperate hold on your waist. you could see clementia and the others smiling as they saw your hands holding his shoulders, which only made you get away from him. "no no, y.n. stay there." and you obeyed, like a pathetic dog.
"what are you doing?" you asked, looking at her devilish smile.
"a prank." she chuckled, pointing at the top of your heads. coriolanus was the first to see, but he kept himself calm, you, on the other hand, panicked as you tried to go away, which didn't work as everyone was surrounding you and pulling you back to under the kissing leaf.
"that's childish. i'm not gonna kiss her." he said, not bothering to look at him. you didn't know that he was as desperate as you. "there's not a single reason for you guys to do that with us."
"ah, there is, actually." arachne pronounced herself, arms crossed and a big smile on her lips. "we're tired of your cat fights. there's nothing better to restart between you both than with a kiss."
"no, i don't- we don't wanna do that." you said. he turned to you, brow arched.
"you don't?" he asked.
"ooh, so he does want it!" festus teased.
"no i don't!" he said, looking at him. you felt anxious once everybody started to scream, cheering you both to kiss. you panicked even more, pulling him by the new tie he wore and slamming your lips against his, for his surprise. and for yours, he kissed you back.
🎀.
"hey" he called, finding you on the library. you felt absolutely humiliated, god, what have you done? you just gave everybody a reason to joke with your face and say you were actually in love with him.
"what do you want?..." you asked, not looking at him even if he sat by your side. "haven't we been humiliated enough? do you want to give them more reasons?"
"god, stop being so dumb." he said, rolling his eyes and sighing
"what do you mean by that? i'm not dumb. i am second place to you on classes but-" he shut you up, his hands grabbing your shoulders when you finally looked at him and you spend at least 5 seconds blinking during the kiss he gave you, shutting them close when the kiss deepened.
oh. that's what he meant when he called you dumb. you didn't notice how he was always laughing when you both would debate- it wasn't a way to call you dumb. but more as in-
"i like you." he said, finally.
oh.
"i..." you blinked rapidly. wasn't it too quick? ah, it wasn't. you both spent three years on this already. "i like you too."

Old Holiday, New Traditions
Tumblr media
Joel Miller x F!Reader
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 2.4k
Warnings: cowgirl sex, unsafe sex, Joel mouthing off during sex, established relationship
Summary: Safe in Jackson, Joel celebrates his first New Year's Eve in decades. (ao3).
Notes: My Secret Santa gift for @bluebeary-jay! Merry Christmas! My thanks as always to @misscharlielulu for her support.
Joel had never been one for a big celebration on New Year’s Eve. There had been a few parties with Sarah’s mother when he was younger. Later, he rang in the New Year with Sarah – sitting her on his shoulders to watch fireworks, or moving clocks forward to feign the moment of midnight for her.
After Sarah, he’d had no desire to celebrate. It was just another marker of time, the yawning gulf opening up in his life between her past and his present.
All the New Year meant to him was another year without his baby girl.
Yet somehow, between their arrival in Jackson in the spring and the approaching winter, Ellie had gotten him to look forward to it. She spoke excitedly of the party held in Jackson to kick off the new year. It involved weeks of preparation, and almost everybody in town pitching in to help. Slowly, the promise of the New Year was no longer something he dreaded.
And then there was you. You, who’d been in Jackson for longer and filled Ellie’s head with stories of New Year’s celebrations past. You, who’d somehow worked your way into Joel’s bed, and then his heart. He’s hard pressed to explain how you – bright, tender you, who still got upset when your neighbours’ cat left small carcasses on your doorstep – had taken to him so quickly.
Between you and Ellie, you convince him to attend his first New Year’s Eve in decades.
****
It’s late by the time the two of you head back to Joel’s place. It’s almost one in the morning, but the party in the Tipsy Bison isn’t showing much sign of slowing down. You’d left Ellie giggling in a corner with Cat, the two of them no doubt thrilled to have pulled one over on Joel about being ‘just friends’.
The snow crunches under your feet as you make your way home, your hand tucked into the crook of Joel’s elbow. The sound of the party carries far down the street, almost every resident of Jackson still inside. Only those on patrol, and those too sick to get out of bed, would miss it. It’s a celebration of surviving and thriving for another year.
“Make any resolutions this year?” You ask Joel teasingly. The air is cold enough to make your breath mist, and you shiver despite your warm clothes.
“Yeah. Stop lettin’ you ‘n Ellie talk me into stuff,” he huffs.
“Oh come on. You had a good time.” You had caught him smiling at one point, watching Ellie dance with some of the other teenagers.
“Wasn’t terrible,” he says eventually. “Ellie looked like she had a real good time.”
“Yeah, she did,” you agree. “All the other kids seem to really like her.” Cat in particular, though you don’t say that aloud. It had been sweet to watch the two tiptoe around one another with all the hallmarks of an adolescent crush.
“It’s good for her. Bein’ around people her own age, bein’ able to have friends.”
“I still can’t believe Dina managed to get her to dance.” A smile tugs at the corner of Joel’s mouth again. His smiles aren’t frequent, but it’s a huge change from the intimidating, scowling man who had first arrived in Jackson over a year ago. Slowly but surely, you think Jackson is becoming his home.
In just the same way, his home is becoming yours. You’re spending fewer nights at the house you share with Dina and Rebecca. Ellie no longer reacts with any surprise when she finds you having breakfast at her kitchen table. You even keep a change of clothes tucked in the bottom of Joel’s dresser. You’d never ask Joel to put a label on whatever you are, but you’re not sure you need him to. As if to prove your point, he doesn’t even ask if you’re coming home with him; he just carries on walking right past the turn that leads to your house.
The noise of the party has long faded by the time you get to Joel and Ellie’s house; your boots crunching through the snow is the only sound you can hear. You and Joel stomp your feet to shake off the loose snow, and unlace your boots standing right next to the front door so you can step inside in your socks. Joel had imposed the rule about not tracking snow inside after Ellie had gone flying on the wooden floor left slick by snowmelt, and you’d both readily agreed. Joel takes your boots with him, doubtless to put them with his in the kitchen to dry off as you start taking off your many layers.
In just your jeans and a tee shirt, you make your way upstairs to Joel’s bedroom. The heat is on; it doesn’t take long for the warmth to come back to your feet and fingers. Turning into Joel’s room, you don’t turn on the main light. Instead, you light the candle on the bedside table, casting the room in a soft golden glow.
The candle lit, you move over to the record player in the corner. There’s a vinyl already waiting, so you simply switch it on and lower the needle. Soft, Spanish guitar fills the room. You’re flicking through the crate full of records when Joel’s strong arms loop around your middle. You can’t help smiling to yourself, resting your hand on his as he kisses the side of your head.
“Music, candles, you got me drunk…you tryin’ to seduce me darlin’?” He whispers against the shell of your ear.
“Tommy was the one who got you drunk,” you remind him. Joel grunts in acknowledgement, squeezing you a little tighter.
“My mind ain’t on Tommy right now.” He turns you in his arms, those dark eyes of his unfathomable as he looks down at you. “I’m more concerned with how I can thank my girl.”
Before you can respond, he leans in and kisses you. It’s a soft kiss, barely more than a peck. It’s still enough to send the first sparks running through your veins. Joel brings one of his hands up to cup your jaw, his large palm warm against your skin.
“You looked pretty when you were dancing, baby,” he murmurs, his thumb stroking your cheek. A derisive snort escapes you.
“I looked like an idiot.” Dina had pulled you in to dance, some variation on a jig that had both of you collapsing into breathless giggles by the end.
“You looked happy.” Joel kisses you again, a little deeper this time. The simple statement fills you with a different kind of warmth, and you make a contented sound against his full lips. You loop your arms around his neck, trying to get as close to him as you can. He holds you tight, and not for the first time you’re struck by the contrast in his sheer strength, and the gentleness with which he handles you.
The hand at your waist creeps below the hem of your shirt, sliding up to cup the weight of your breast. Even over your bra, his touch makes you shudder.
“Off,” he huffs impatiently, breaking the kiss to pull your tee shirt up and over your head. You start in on the buttons of his flannel shirt, doing your best to concentrate as Joel brushes your hair back over your shoulder and starts kissing your neck. His stubble prickles at your delicate skin and his lips immediately kiss away the sting.
The heat of arousal floods through your body, your fingers skittering over the small buttons. It takes you longer than it should to get the navy shirt off him, followed swiftly by the soft grey tee shirt he had on underneath. You can feel his cock starting to stiffen against your belly, and it only adds to the tingling sensation under your skin as your nerve endings set alight.
Joel steers you both back towards the bed, the two of you shedding your remaining clothes as quickly as you can. He settles himself into bed, leaning back against the headboard as he helps you into his lap. You sigh softly as you settle on his thighs, one of your hands curling around the wood of the headboard and the other finding Joel’s shoulder.
“You’re so pretty, baby,” Joel murmurs, his hands warm on your hips. He pulls you closer so your hips are flush with his. His cock, hot and hard, bumps against your middle, trapped between your bodies. He crushes you close in a deep kiss, tilting his head to slot his mouth against yours. One of his hands slides up to caress your breasts again, touching you with increasing impatience.
When you break apart, he leaves you gasping for air. Precome smears across your belly as you press closer to him. It’s not enough. You feel uncomfortably slick and devastatingly empty; you let out a soft, longing sound.
“Need you,” you whine, your fingertips skating over his stomach to grasp his cock. The weight of it in your hand makes you shiver. Joel uses his grip on your hips to encourage you up, rising up on your knees enough to be able to notch the broad head of his cock against your entrance. A hiss escapes through Joel’s teeth.
“Fuck, you’re so wet.” He exhales a gasp into the side of your neck, his breath hot on your skin. He bites into the soft skin as you start to sink down on him. You inhale the scent of his hair, the soft curls tickling your face as he trails kisses and nips down your skin.
“That’s it,” he mumbles against your throat. “That’s it, good girl, take it just like that…” His hands help you move. As wet as you are, he’s so much that you can’t take him all in one go. You have to sink down slowly, impaling yourself with gradual flicks of your hips. Every thick inch of him strains your muscles, but the feeling of fullness is glorious.
“Oh, fuck, Joel-” you manage, breathless. He makes a hushing sound, smoothing one hand down the line of your spine. It’s meant to be a soothing gesture, but it only serves to wind you up even more, your nerves fraying at his touch. He flexes his hips, somehow driving himself in even deeper, and you whimper into his hair.
Joel coils one strong arm around your waist, his nose pressing against the hinge of your jaw. He lets you catch your breath. When you give your first, halting twist of your hips, he stutters an inhale, the fingers on your hip tightening.
“That’s it, sweetheart,” he says, his voice tight with need. “Ride me, go on.” He starts to move with you, meeting every slow stroke of your hips. Every pass of his cock stokes the fire in your belly higher. You cling to him, needing to be as close as physically possible. The room feels suddenly stifling, your world shrunk down to just your bodies on Joel’s bed.
Your pace had started slow, but Joel is beginning to move with growing insistence. The hand on your hip presses between your bodies. When his searching fingertips find your clit, you drop your head back like a puppet whose strings have been cut. It opens you up more to Joel, giving him easier access to the sensitive bundle of nerves at your apex.
“Need you to come,” he grunts, his thumb stroking across your clit. “Wanna feel you come on my cock.” With every thrust of his hips, he works his thumb across your clit, setting you alight from within and without. Every shift and touch pulls you closer towards the edge. He mouths at your neck, your eyes fluttering closed as you writhe on his lap.
You start to move a little faster, chasing the high of your climax. Joel matches your pace, the obscene sound of your bodies meeting filling the room.
“Like that, that’s it, sweetheart,” he croons. “Good girl, baby, take what you need…”
“Joel,” you whine. “Joel, Joel, Joel-” You say it like a prayer, chanting it over and over.
It’s not long before he sends you hurtling over the edge, your orgasm hitting you so hard that you barely manage to hold yourself upright. The tension that’s been coiling in your belly snaps, sending molten fire pouring through your body. You feel him covering your face with kisses, the sensation of it far away somehow as you come back to yourself slowly.
His thumb keeps stroking circles around your clit, dragging out your climax. It threatens to push you into oversensitivity, and you whimper pathetically. Your cunt clenches around his length, the muscles unsure whether they want to pull him in deeper or push him out. The fluttering of your walls must get him there; before your brain can catch up to what’s happening, he’s pulled out of you.
It only takes a few desperate strokes of his hand before he’s coming all over your stomach. You feel ruinously empty, your primal need for Joel not helped by the ragged groan he lets out as he comes. He sits back against the headboard, and you watch the rise and fall of his broad chest as he struggles to catch his breath.
“Sorry baby,” he mutters, his thumb catching a pearlescent bead of come before it can drip down onto your cunt. He reaches for the stack of rags he keeps in his bedside table for this purpose, carefully wiping away his spend. You’re too tired to wash properly; instead, you simply let yourself fall onto the bed beside him.
Joel presses a kiss to your forehead before rolling over to blow out the candle. Taking advantage of the movement, you curl up behind him, spooning him. For once, he doesn’t grumble and protest and claim he doesn’t like it. He just rests his hand atop yours, and lets you snuggle closer.
You look down to see if he needs help as he draws the blankets over you both, and you notice the window for the first time since you came home.
At some point while you were having sex, it started snowing. It’s coming down thick, the world outside the window only visible in shades of white and grey. Tomorrow, everything will look fresh and new, the perfect start to a new year.
“Joel?” You whisper softly.
“Yeah?”
“I really am glad you agreed to come.” You rest your head against his back. It takes him a long moment to reply, and you almost wonder if he’s fallen asleep on you.
“I’m glad I went. It was my first good New Year’s in decades,” he says eventually. You snuggle closer, his back warm against your cheek.
“Happy New Year, Joel.”

Summary: Christmas morning and surprises in the Leclerc family.
Warnings : suggestive content but no smut
A/N: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY. Hope you all have a wonderful day with your family or whoever’s you are celebrating with. I wish you all the happiness and hope that this fic serves as a little gift from me to you. Xx
It was all quite to begin with. But that would never last long especially on Christmas morning. You and Charles were close to each other in bed Charles had his arm around your waist. You were both sound asleep. Until..
The sound of footsteps came from down the hallway then your door opened and the there was the shaking and the sound of voices.
“ wake up , he came he came”
Your groaned and rolled back in your pillow you knew Christmas was exciting and you weren’t annoyed at your babies but sometimes you liked your sleep.
Charles arm slipped from around your waist as he rolled over to look at the three kids standing on his side of the bed.
“ who came? “ he asked obviously teasing them.
“ SANTA papa “ Sicily screeched
“ presents!” Remy yelled
“ ok ok shall we go downstairs and see what he brought” Charles said moving to get up
“Yes!” All the kids ran downstairs.
“ Darling “ Charles shook you and you rolled over to face him as you obviously hadn’t gone back to sleep.
“Come on let’s go downstairs I’ll make you some coffee” he laughed
You groaned but got up out of bed as you wanted to spend this morning with your children. He then wrapped his arms around and gave you a kiss on the head as you both went downstairs.
By the time you had all gotten downstairs and you and Charles were settled on the couch your three children were ripping into their piles of presents. With many different new toys coming out from the wrapping paper. With the occasion shrieks of joy and the show and tell to you and Charles. As well as the numerous demands of “open it papa” only for the toy to be unboxed then left behind to unwrap more presents.
“ Santa really spoiled you guys this year” you smiled as you watched Remy play with his new dinosaur toy on the ground, Indy inspecting her new roller skates , and Sicily with some slime that was in her stocking.
“ what about you mama and papa what did Santa bring you” Sicily asked.
“ Santa dosent come to adults “ Indy said in a obvious way
“ that’s right but it’s ok because mama and papa got each other presents “ Charles smiled.
You had been nervous about one of Charles presents for the late couple of days as you had been feeling off for awhile so you decided to take a test, a pregnancy test. It came back positive. Of course nothing was planned but you were sure Charles would be just as happy and supportive as all the other times.
“ merry Christmas my love” Charles handed you a pile of gifts and leant over to kiss you on the lips
“ ewww “ Indy and Sicily groaned , as Charles replied by sticking his tongue out at them.
The first gift was a refill of the perfume you wear every day and could never get enough of. The next gift was a beautiful silver bracket with a love heart and engraved in the heart was a I, S , R and C. And then the final box made him smirk and you were immediately suspicious of what was in there. When you opened it you immediately put the items back in the box closing the lid and giving Charles a death glare.
“ in-front of the kids Charles”
“ something special for you and me “ he smirked proud of the silk set within the box
“You are such a teenage horny boy”
“ ok my turn” you sang as you passed him his pile of gifts
You were getting more excited at sharing the news with him.
He opened the two first gifts revealing some clothes as he was in need of some more suitable day wear they wasn’t carry blue and white tye dye jeans, next was new AirPods and a new travel set of mini suitcases for race weekend. Then he finally came to the final box, the box which contained the next chapter of your lives. He slowly opened it and revealed the stick from under the tissue paper.
“ what’s this mon amour” you just continued to stare at him.
He picked it up examining it closer. Then his eyes grew wide
“No” he looked at you
You just nodded your head smiling
“ your pregnant!”
“ yeah”
“Cherie” he smiled leaning over to kiss your lips and hug you. Then leaning to put his hand on your stomach.
“ this is amazing , the best Christmas gift”
“Surprising this is your fault for not being able to keep your hands off me” you laughed as his hand was still on your stomach
“ you’re just irresistible Cherie” he kissed you again.
“ 4 kids we are really outnumbered now”
“ we’ll be okay” and you believed him you would be ok
“ what did you get papa” Sicily asked as now the two youngest kids were standing in-front of him
“ well mama is pregnant there’s gonna be another baby” he smiled
“ yay! A new girl” Sicily shriek alerted the youngest who didn’t quite understand the idea of a new baby
“ well we don’t know if it’s a girl baby” you laughed
“ well I know it is “ she smiled going back to her toys
Charles looked at Remy picking  him up , placing him on his lap then snuggling further into you basking in the fact that it was Christmas and the fact a new baby was on the way. It was all ok though for now you would bask in the comfort of your family of 5 before next year the family would grow and Christmas will become even more special.

Teacher!Wilbur x Teacher!Reader Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello friends & merry christmas to those who celebrate! my gift is chapter two of this haha. i might start doing a taglist, so please let me know if you want added!! cw: lots of awkward conversation (not uncomfortable topics wilbur is just shy), wilbur spills boiling hot coffee on his hand, i think that's it!
words: 3,831
also, welcome tommy to the stage everybody :)
part one here
On Monday, you find yourself waking up to the realization that your alarm never went off. A panicked sound slips past your lips, and you practically throw yourself out of bed.
Okay, yes, a bit dramatic. However, you really don’t want to have to rush to get ready. You ended up having to go home before you were able to finish decorating your room, so you had been hoping to get to the school as early as possible and get it done.
You start to root through all your clothes, still mildly panicked. You finally find something suitable to wear, shoving it on and glancing yourself up and down in your full length mirror on your closet door. You sigh softly and nod at yourself, a weak attempt to hype yourself up. Then you drag yourself to the bathroom and start to brush your teeth, staring at yourself blankly in the mirror before you lean down, spit out the toothpaste, and hurry to finish the rest of your routine.
On your way out the front door several minutes later, you adjust your shoulder bag and sigh as you check the time on your phone. You don’t live too far away from the school, only a couple blocks, so you opt to walk. You don’t have a car, anyway– it had broken months ago, and you didn’t have the energy or money to get it looked at.
So, walking it is.
It only takes you about five minutes to get to the school, and when you arrive, you rush through the building to your room, shivering slightly from the walk. The school was mostly barren outside of a couple kids who were waiting outside and a few teachers you passed, though you didn’t know them. As you finally make it to your room, you reach for the door until you notice the sound of arguing a couple doors down.
You probably shouldnt pry, but your curiosity gets the better of you and you slip down to the door, peeking inside to discover Wilbur bickering with some tall blonde kid with curly hair and bright blue eyes. Wilbur is standing with his back turned to the door, trying to hang up a map, while the (presumably) teen boy sits on his dark oak desk and chastises Wilbur on his “horrible placement skills”. You clear your throat and they both turn their attention to you.
The blonde kid just stares at you, but Wilbur smiles. “Oh, hello!” He greets you. You nod, eyes slightly furrowed as you take in his outfit. It’s quite old looking, but it goes perfectly well with his large glasses.
“You look like you came straight out of the ‘90s.” You say instead of greeting him back, leaning on his doorframe. His face goes a bit pink and the blonde kid laughs loudly.
“That’s what I told him!” He says gleefully, like he’s just won an argument. Maybe he has.
Wilbur groans. “Tommy, go find your classes or something.” He grumbles, and you feel a flicker of confusion at the way the two of them interact. “Uh, and who is this, again, Wilbur?” You ask, pushing yourself upright instead of leaning and wandering further into his room. It’s a bit dark, the overhead lights are turned off. Instead, the room is lit by several lamps. You quite like it.
“Oh.” Wilbur says, gesturing to the blonde kid. “This is my brother, Tommy. He’s 17, I’m technically his legal guardian.” He says, and you nod, not pressing for further information. Tommy chimes in. “I’m actually a very strong man.” He informs you.
“Oh, I don’t doubt it.” You say with a laugh, starting to take in the rest of Wilbur’s classroom. “It looks nice in here, you’ve done a nice job.” You say, looking over at him. A playful grin spreads across your face. “Mr. Soot.” You add. Wilbur smiles bashfully.
“Thank you. Tommy hates it.” He says, running a hand through his brown curls. You laugh.
“Well, I don’t. It’s very cozy.” You say. Tommy groans. “Ugh, who cares about cozy? It needs some spice. Some danger.” Tommy insists, hopping off of Wilbur’s desk and sauntering towards the door. He salutes lazily to the two of you. “Anyway, have fun talking about boring teacher stuff, I’m going to go see if they have breakfast yet.” He says, then promptly walks away, sneakers squeaking as he goes. You and WIlbur both wince at the noise.
“He does it just to annoy me.” Wilbur informs you as the two of you both stare at where he just walked away. Wilbur’s gaze flickers over to you, and you nod.
“Little brothers.” You say, looking over and meeting his gaze. Wilbur cracks a small smile.
“Little brothers.” He agrees.
–
Four short (or painfully long, you can’t decide) hours later, it’s finally lunch break, and you immediately slump down onto your desk, groaning as you rest your head against it. Your kids were pretty good, and it was pretty relaxed since it was only the first day, but you’ve already got an itch on which kids will be causing trouble.
Tommy had ended up in your second period, and to your pleasant surprise, he was actually very enthusiastic about the topics you discussed teaching that year when you went through the class modules and he had very smugly told you to watch out for when he came back for your creative writing class later today.
You actually quite like Tommy, and his friends. He told you he’s friends with everybody, but you can tell by the way that most kids avoid him that he was just saying that. He does have these two kids that he was talking to, though, a short brown-haired boy and a really (ridiculously) tall boy with a mask. You don’t remember most of the names of the kids in your class, which– yeah, you should probably work on that– but Tommy’s group seemed mostly pleasant, if a bit chaotic.
Back to the present, you lift your head off of your desk and sigh as you reach for your tupperware with your lunch in it, dragging yourself to the teacher’s lounge to heat up your leftovers from dinner last night. When you get there, you see Wilbur hovering awkwardly by the microwave, posture a bit hunched as a small group of random teachers talk on the other side of the room.
You walk up to Wilbur and almost tap on his shoulder, but you refrain. You don’t know much about him, after all, he might not be okay with casual touch. Instead, you stand next to him.
“Hey.” You greet him, and he startles slightly, then his body languish shifts into something softer and less tense when he sees you. He offers you a stilted smile.
“Oh, hello.” He says, reaching to open the microwave when it beeps. “How has your first day been so far?” He asks, pulling his food out and pushing his glasses up with his opposite hand. You hum as you think of how to word your answer.
“Good, but exhausting.” You say after a moment, and he laughs softly, looking down at his food.
“That’s fair. At least you’ve got the upperclassman, yeah?” He asks, stepping away from the microwave and gesturing for you to go ahead. You pop your food in and start it, then turn back to him, clearing your throat.
“You’re right. Uh, how’s your day going?” You ask, and he cringes.
“Uhh, I think okay? The kids certainly haven’t forgotten that I’m the boring teacher, though. Um, hopefully I’ll be able to get them interested, though.” He says, tapping his fingers against his food container. Your eyes drift down to them and you notice how calloused they are, but don’t mention it.
“I’ll manifest it for you.” You say, smiling a little bit, and he laughs a bit breathlessly.
“Thank you, I appreciate it.” He says, shaking his head and shuffling awkwardly.
The microwave beeps and you pull your food out, looking up at Wilbur, who’s staring down at his shoes.
“...Do you want to eat with me?” You ask, breaking the awkward silence. “Okay.” He agrees, looking back at you, then glancing around the teacher’s lounge. “Um, we can eat in my room.” He decides, then his gaze flickers back to you. “If that’s okay.”
You nod, cracking a smile. “That sounds nice. Thank you.” You tell him, holding your food close to your chest. He smiles back, this time a little less awkwardly, and nods.
“Okay, then. Um, it should be pretty quiet there. The only kid that really drops by is one of my brother’s friends, but I don’t know if he’ll be doing that a bunch this year.” He explains, and the two of you start the walk to his classroom, holding your respective tupperware containers.
“Oh? The tall one with the mask, or the really short one? Or are there some other secret friends hiding around the school somewhere?” You ask, since it’s wholly possible that Tommy has more than just two friends.
Ah, the tall one.” Wilbur tells you, unlocking his door and holding it open for you. “Thank you.” You say, stepping inside and then letting him usher you over to his desk. He pulls over a comfy looking chair for you and gestures for you to sit, pulling over his own spinny chair to face you.
The two of you sit, and you tap your fingers awkwardly on the lid of your container. He looks at you, then down to your hands, then he clears his throat and starts to tap his blunt nails against his desk.
“Well.” He says, like he has something to say, but he doesn’t add anything after that, looking up to stare at you blankly.
You blink slowly. “Well…” You agree, sitting back in the chair and crossing your legs.
Wilbur takes the lid off his food and starts to poke at it with a black plastic fork. You set your food down in your lap.
“The Front Bottoms.” You say, trying to break the silence. He looks up at you, looking mildly bewildered, then huffs out a breathless laugh.
“What?” He asks, a bit of the tension melting away. You laugh too.
“Sorry. I just meant… Um, you like The Front Bottoms. What else do you listen to?” You ask, and he smiles shyly, looking down at his food.
“Oh, well, I like a little bit of everything.” He says, sounding a bit bashful.
“Come on, lay it on me.” You say, waving your hand as if to brush off his shyness. “Okay…” He says slowly, clearly trying to think. “Well… My favorite band is called Los Campesinos!, they’re a seven piece Welsh band.” He explains, pushing his glasses up with one finger. You think it’s adorable. “But I also like Crywank, Arctic Monkeys, um… The Strokes, american poetry club, Modern Baseball…” He cuts himself off. “Sorry, I’m talking a lot.” He apologizes.
“No, no, it’s okay! I asked, after all.” You reassure him, reaching over to pat his hand before pulling away and starting to poke at your food with your fork. “I know a couple of those bands, we have similar music tastes.” You say, lifting your fork and covering your mouth with your hand as you chew.
He smiles at that. “Oh, yay!” He says, clapping his hands lightly. You swallow and smile. “What music do you listen to?” He asks, looking genuinely intrigued. You think for a moment, genuinely drawing a blank.
“Oh, well, um…” You say, furrowing your eyebrows. He takes a bite of his food. “I- Uh, sorry, I’m not good on the spot.” You apologize, and he shakes his head.
“No, it’s okay. We can talk about music another time.” He says, leaning back in his chair. “You’re right.” You agree, setting your food down again in your lap. “By the way, what’s with the outfit?” You ask, immediately regretting the way you worded it when he frowns. “I love it! Seriously.” You add hurriedly, reaching over and patting his knee. “Just curious.”
He shifts slightly when you pat his knee and he crosses his legs, scratching his jaw as he thinks. “Uh, well… I’m not sure, I just like how it looks.” He says, gesturing to his outfit. “It reminds me of my favorite teacher from when I was in middle school. He was quite old, honestly, but he’s sort of my inspiration for becoming a teacher.” Wilbur explains, a light blush on his face. The soft ‘awww’ slips past your lips before you can stop yourself. “That’s… actually really sweet.” You say, smiling at him gently. “I kinda just assumed you were into the vintage fashion scene.” You say with a soft giggle.
“Well,” he says with a short laugh, “that’s also true. I mean, the glasses should make that obvious.” He says, gesturing to his face.
“Well, it suits you!” You say, smiling. “Seriously, I think you look very handsome.” You tell him, taking another few bites of your food before closing the tupperware and wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. He smiles. “Thank you. I’m glad you like it, usually the students just make fun of me and call me old.” He says with a soft laugh. “Well, clearly they have no culture.” You joke, gaze wandering from him to the bookshelf in the corner of his room. “Oh, do you mind if I take a look?” You ask, pointing at it.
“No, of course I don’t mind.” He says, putting his hands on his knees and standing up. You follow the action, walking with him to the back of the room. “This side is all textbooks,” he explains, gesturing to the right side, “but the other is all books I’ve brought from home for students to borrow.” He says. You nod and trace your finger over the spines of some of the books, glancing across them.
“I should do that, too.” You say, tilting your head to the side to read some of the titles. He hums.
“Yeah, you are the English teacher after all. Don’t want to get caught lacking.” He says, and you roll your eyes fondly.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, he speaks again. “You look nice, too, by the way.” He says.
You’re confused for a moment. “Huh?” His face goes a bit pink. “You said I look handsome. Um, you look great too. Your style suits you well.” He explains, and it’s suddenly your turn to blush. “Thank you.” You say bashfully, brushing a bit of hair out of your face. “Yeah, of course.” He tells you, reaching to pull a book out of the shelf, but suddenly the bell is ringing. You jump slightly and huff, placing a hand on your chest as your heart races.
“Fuck, I need to get used to the bell.” You complain under your breath, standing up straight. “Thanks for letting me eat with you, Wilbur, I seriously appreciate it.” You tell him. He nods. “No problem. I wouldn’t mind making it a habit.” He says, smiling at you. “Let me walk you to your classroom.” He tells you.
“And I wouldn’t mind that either.” You agree. “It’s only a few doors down.” You remind him. A couple kids start filing into his class.
“I know.” He says. “Please?” He gives you his best puppydog eyes and you roll your eyes.
“Okay, fine.” You relent, and he beams.
The two of you walk out of his room and he walks on the left side of you as you make your way down the hallway. Once you make it to your door, he opens it for you and you shoot him a grateful smile.
“Why, thank you, Mr. Soot.” You say, bowing clumsily at him. He giggles.
“Yeah, yeah. See you later.” He says.
“See you later.” You agree, nodding and stepping into your class. You sigh as you walk over to your desk, watching the student pile inside.
Time for your first creative writing class of the semester.
–
By the end of the day, you’re absolutely exhausted, and you feel like a mess. You probably look the part, too, seeing as Tommy gives you a weird look when he walks past you later in the hallway on your way to the teacher’s lounge on your prep period. You’ve been in there for probably twenty minutes now, just holding a mug of herbal tea and staring blankly at the floor. The ceramic mug is hot under your hands, a pleasant burn on the pads of your fingers as you space out.
All in all, not an awful first day, just… wow, you need to decompress. You’re so thankful that you didn’t assign anything for the first day, God knows you can’t grade right now. You’re mostly alone there until about fifteen minutes until school ends, when Wilbur happens to walk in, bee-lining toward the coffee machine. His sudden entrance makes you snap out of it, and you look up at him, walking as he sighs and waits for the coffee, having not yet noticed you.
After a minute of watching him in silence, he finally turns, holding his mug of coffee in his hands. Apparently he was not at all expecting anyone else to be in here, because he jolts slightly and a bit of coffee splashes out and all over his hand. He hisses in pain and sets the mug down, and you stand up.
“Oh, shit.” You say, setting down your own mug and walking over to him, lifting his hand and examining it. You drag him over to the sink and turn on the cold water, guiding his hand under it and holding it there, your own hand also under the water.
“This is embarrassing.” He mumbles after a moment, then laughs softly. “It’s fine. I’ve spilt boiling water on myself too many times.” You say, trying to console him. He hums in acknowledgement and you blink when you realize that you don’t need to be holding his hand anymore, pulling it away and wiping it off on your shirt. “Uh, you can take your hand out when it feels a bit better.” You tell him, walking over to the small table and grabbing some napkins. After a moment, the water turns off and you turn to hand the napkins to him. He dries off his hand and looks down, crumpling the napkins and tossing them into the trash. “Kobe!” You whisper shout, a habit ingrained into you from hearing teen boys do the exact same thing for years. He giggles and shakes his head, and you gesture for him to show you his hand. He lifts it obediently for you and you examine it before humming thoughtfully to yourself. “It doesn’t look bad, it’s only a first degree burn.” You tell him, letting go of his hand. “I have some lotion, it’ll help.” You say, looking up into his eyes. He nods, smiling shyly.
“It’s okay, you don’t need to.” He says, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. “Are you sure? It’ll soothe the burn.” You insist. He relents after a moment.
“Okay. Thank you, I appreciate it.” He tells you, letting you lead him back to your classroom. You hum as you unlock the door and beckon him inside, taking his hand again as you lift your lotion from your desk and take a little bit of it, spreading it gently across his hand. He hums softly as you do so, and after a moment, you let go of his hand and spread the remaining lotion across your own hands.
“Does that feel any better?” You ask him, and he just looks down at his hand before glancing at you again. “Um, yes, thank you.” He says, smiling shyly. “You’re too kind, really.”
You both laugh softly and then you brush a bit of hair out of your face. “It’s no problem, Wilbur.” You assure him, smiling softly. “...we’re friends, right?” You ask, a little bit cautious now.
He seems surprised, but nods eagerly. “Yes! Yes, we’re friends.” He says, reaching a hand out to awkwardly pat your shoulder, but it is a bit comforting. You relax. “Okay, cool.” You say. “Cool.” He mimics. “Coooool.” You say, leaning forward slightly and smiling up at him.
He giggles and tentatively pushes your face away. “No more cool.” He says, trying to sound firm, and you return his giggle.
“Sorry.” You apologize, straightening up. “I’m glad that you’re my friend.” You say. “You’re pretty cool.”
“I’m hardly cool.” He scoffs, but he’s smiling widely. “I’m glad you’re my friend, too.” He agrees.
After you lock up your classroom and the two of you start going back to the teacher’s lounge to take care of both of your mugs. You both work in relative silence, only speaking again once both of you have finished.
“I hope you don’t mind…” Wilbur says, breaking the silence and glancing over at you. “But is it okay if I could get your phone number or something? Just so we don’t have to only talk at lunch and during our prep periods.” He explains, running a hand through his messy curls.
You ignore the way you have instant butterflies in your stomach, nodding. “Yeah! Yeah, of course, here, let me get my information pulled up.” You agree, pulling out your phone and smiling giddily to yourself before handing your phone to him.
“Thank you.” He says, looking a bit flustered as he puts your contact in his phone, then hands your phone back. “Text me so I can save your number, too.” You instruct him, looking down at your phone expectantly. After a moment, a text comes in that simply says ‘hi :)’.
You smile and send back an enthusiastic ‘hi!!!’ before saving his number as “Mr Soot >:)”
He giggles when he gets your text, shutting his phone off and putting it in his pocket. The bell rings, and you both look at the door.
“Well…” WIlbur says. “I look forward to talking to you.” He says, awkwardly extending his arm for a fist bump. You smack your fist against his and then unfurl your fingers as you
pull your arm away, making an attempt at an exploding sound as you do so.
“Text me whenever you want.” You tell him with a soft smile as you look up into his eyes. He nods and stuffs his hands into his pockets, smiling back at you.
“Okay, I will. Thank you again.” He says. “You seem very nice, I’m glad that our rooms are so close.” He says, face tinged a bit pink.
“I’m glad, too.” You say.
You definitely don’t spend the rest of your evening at home waiting (im)patiently for him to text you, and you definitely don’t kick your feet and shove your face in a pillow when he finally does.

!christmas special!
"Just for you"
gf!furina x gn!reader
author's note: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE ONES THAT CELEBRATE IT!!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR LIKING MY POSTS! all of that encouraged me to to try and write a fanfic instead of hcs this time, as a special! i wish you all a very happy christmas and hope that all of you are doing well! i hope you like this!
"i was blessed to have met you at all..."
Tumblr media
You and Furina have been dating for about a year now, and it's finally Christmas time... The time that people celebrate and get gifts under a tree... The time that everybody has fun at.
You weren't really as hyped up for it as everyone else was, but you still wanted to keep the tradition going. And what made it easier, was that you were getting a gift for you dear girlfriend, Furina.
She, on the other hand, was very excited for this time of the year. The beautiful lights, the city at night, and just the whole atmosphere of Fontaine. It made her smile. It made her happy.
So you had to do it.
You decided to go to the store early in the morning, before Furina woke up. Just so she wouldn't panic, you left a little note on her nightstand.
"i'm at the store, don't worry<3"
And just like that, she was left alone in the bed, sleeping peacefully as you went out.
When you got there, you could just see how decorated it was, even inside the stores. So, with that, you rushed to the plushies section.
Furina loved plushies, and had a bit too many of them. But there's never enough plushies for the love of your life!
You put a little blue jellyfish in the cart, and a fluffy white cat, and a dragon... You didn't even look at the price. No money was worth more than that sweet and grateful smile she will have on her face once she sees her gifts.
Finally, after paying for all of that, which wasn't so cheap, you started to head home.
On the way back, you saw a small jewelry shop.
"joyaux d'amour" (i used google translate "gems of love" idk if it's the real translation)
It wasn't popular, and when you entered, you didn't understand why. Beautiful necklaces, rings and earrings were on display. Diamonds, amethysts, sapphires,... you name it.
"Uhm, hello. I'm here to get a Christmas gift for my girlfriend... any recommendations?" you asked the lady who was in charge of the store.
"Of course! This beautiful sapphire necklace, this diamond ring here if you're planning to propose, these ruby earrings..." the lady quickly recommended you a lot of options, but you couldn't take your eyes off of the sapphire necklace.
"I'll have the necklace." you pointed at it.
"Okay, let me just put it in a box for you..." she took it in and put it in a little light blue box for you.
"Here you go. Happy holidays, and Merry Christmas!" she exclaimed as she waved at you.
"Thank you ma'am, Merry Christmas to you too." you waved back to her, and finally left the shop.
After you finally got home, you realized that Furina was still sound asleep in the bed, she hasn't even moved a single bit. She must've been really tired last night... Still, that gave you enough time to wrap up the presents that you got her!
You quickly went to the living room and started packing the gifts.
The plushies in shiny red wrap, and the necklace still in the box, and in yellow wrap.
When you finished, you left them under the Christmas tree and went back to the bedroom, only to find your sweet girlfriend waking up from her deep slumber.
"G'morning, my love!..." Furina smiled at you as she stretched out her arms.
"Good morning, my dear! Merry Christmas!" you smiled back at her in a happy tone.
"Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to you too!" she giggled and slowly got out of bed to hug you.
"I got you some gifts, they're under the Christmas tree."
"Gifts? Under the Christmas tree? Aww... you shouldn't have... But i didn't get you anything in return... i'm sorry..." she apologized as she looked up at you.
"No, it's okay, i was blessed to have met you at all, so it's enough." you softly kissed her forehead.
"You're so sweet... C'mon, let's go open my presents!" suddenly, she grabbed you by the hand and lead you to the living room.
"I hope you like them..." you said to her as she already sat on the floor next to the Christmas tree, in her pajamas.
Then, she started opening the gifts. First, the plushies. The smile she had on her was undescribable.
"Oh my, they're so cute!" she hugged each one of them.
When she got to the necklace, she smiled widely, put it on, and got up to hold you tight.
"Thank you so so so much, my love! This is the best Christmas i've ever had!" she kissed your cheek as another "thank you".
"Just for you, my dear."

"Wake up, my little pickle." I chuckled to myself as I shook my boyfriend's shoulder, eager to see him wake and stare up at me with those breathtaking green eyes once again.
But I only got an agitated groan in response. Syzoth was always quite difficult to pull out of bed. Once he was warm, he would stay in the same spot for hours upon hours, just soaking up as much heat as he could. The blanket nest he made for himself the night prior was no different.
But after a few more nudges, his eyes reluctantly opened to peer up at me with disappointment.
"A few more minutes..." He whined like a young child who wasn't getting his way.
I merely laughed at his behavior and shook my head. "Nope! It's Christmas morning! Time for presents!"
"You Earthrealmers never fail to confuse me with your traditions. This early just for for gifts?" He grumbled while getting out of bed.
His body visibly shivered when he crawled out of the covers. Despite the heat being on, two space heaters, and the thickest sweater I could find for him, Syzoth still could barely cope with Earthrealm's winters. The very thought of him leaving his nest of heated blankets made his skin chill.
Giggling to myself, I took his hand and pulled him to the living room, where our 7ft tree stood tall in the corner of the room with presents nestled safely beneath it.
We decorated it last night. He was scheduled to arrive in Earthrealm on Christmas Eve, so I decided to wait so we could do it together. I didn't mind. But I'll never forget all the confused questions that the Zaterran laid on me as we got it ready for Christmas.
"Why do you humans bring a tree into your home and hang all this shiny stuff off of its branches?"
"Do you at least make sure there are no creatures living inside first?"
"Why does a star go on top?"
Luckily, I did not need a ladder to reach the top of the tree this year, since Syzoth's 8ft Zaterran form towered over it. Though he acted confused as he carefully placed the star on the top branch, I could see a small hint of pride as he did it. It was like he was proud that he was completing the look.
When we both stepped back to admire our creation, I couldn't help but notice the child-like wonder in his eyes as the twinkling lights reflected in his irises. Much like they did now, as he slowly creeped into the living room to investigate all of the new differences that had changed overnight.
"So that man really was here?" He asked as he kneeled down by the tree to pick up a small gift in his big hands. He shook it lightly before asking with uncertainty, "What's his name? Ummmm... Sandie Claws?"
I burst out laughing at his assumption and then corrected him nicely, to not make him feel dumb, "Santa Clause. And... Yes... He did..."
After seeing the fascination grow in his eyes as I told him about the all-famous St. Nick, I couldn't bring myself to tell him that he wasn't even real. And since he had never experienced this holiday as a child, I just decided to go with it to humor the inner child that hid within the man.
A large smile spread across his lips as he looked up at me, almost as if he was waiting for the go-ahead to tear into the gifts before him. Chuckling, I nodded and got my camera ready.
After that, he placed the items on the coffee table and wrapped his arms around me in a tight embrace. It was the sweetest gift of all. The biggest grin was displayed proudly on my face as I snuggled into his touch.
The sounds of claws shredding paper and gasps of excitement filled the room as he revealed each surprise one-by-one. He held up the worms from the local reptile shop in my town, a scrub brush for exfoliating dead skin away while he was shedding, and a spray bottle to keep his skin moist when he didn't have the time to soak as I snapped the final picture for the Christmas of 2023 album.
"I hope you enjoyed it, pickle." I breathed as my heart beamed with happiness that I was lucky enough to be present for this milestone in his life—his first Christmas.
"We are not done, my sunshine." He then whispered in my ear before pulling away from me and reaching into his pocket.
My eyes widened in astonishment as I watched him pull a beautiful homemade necklace out. A gorgeous green gem pendant—that looked to be one from only Outworld—hung delicately on a thin silver chain. He placed it around my neck and planted a tender kiss on my cheek before whispering, "Thank you for making my first Christmas a special one."
My eyes teared up with joy as I felt the weight of the necklace on my neck and his cold skin brushing against mine. Though my emotions weren't from the gift, they were from the thought behind it.
He always knew just how to show how much he cared for me, and that was one of the many reasons why I was so grateful to know him, let alone be his partner. I knew for sure that Syzoth loved me, and I loved him just as much.
"Thank you." I murmured after turning around and hugging him one more time.
I held him so close and tight like if I were to let go and open my eyes, he would be gone, and I would realize that it was all fiction. But it was real. He was my destiny—my star.
He encased me in his arms again, completing the embrace. Later on, we would leave my house to go to Johnny's for Christmas dinner and his famous holiday party. But until then, it was just us in this beautiful moment that I would cherish forever.

Two years later.
“I met Nancy in fifth grade when I moved here from Chicago. I had trouble making friends, but Nancy- she introduced herself to me right away, even gave me half of her rice crispy treat. I didn’t know at that age just how important she’d become to me, in fact it’s still hard to believe how much she’s helped me. I can only hope I’ve been able to return at least a fraction of what she’s given me. So, I want to raise a glass to Nancy and Jonathon, yes, I’ve not forgotten about you, and tell you both that we all love you very much. I love you very much. Congratulations, you guys.”
Your hand was raised, holding up a crystal glass at the end of the long, white table. Nancy, who was at your side, had tears going down her face, while Jonathan had a beaming smile. The people on the benches in front of you all cheered from your maid of honor speech, and you giggled when Eddie whistled at the other end of the table, a groomsman himself.
Nancy and Jonathan’s wedding was probably one of the most beautiful Hawkins had ever had. Everyone had come, and you couldn’t deny the fact you’d been extremely nervous to give your speech in-front of everyone, but Nancy deserved to hear what you wanted to say. You could never really be able to express how much she meant to you.
The wedding was held outside at a meadow, just a mile outside of town. It was littered with lavender and dandelions, even an ice sculpture. Truthfully, both Nancy and Jonathan would have been fine with having a courthouse wedding with a few friends and family, but Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler wanted to spoil their daughter, and Joyce, had chipped in almost all the money she had to help.
You admired how handsome Eddie looked in his tuxedo, hair slicked back into a neat ponytail, one of the only few occasions where he put effort into his hair. His shoes were shiny and squeaky. He even rubbed a fork on the bottom of the soles so he wouldn’t slip. Will was the best man, and the other groomsmen being Hopper, Mike, Dustin and Lucas. Robin was also a bridesmaid. Karen and Joyce, too. Little Holly was the flower girl.
White flowers and pink tulips were the flowers of choice, the cake almost seemed to be seven stories tall. Elegant couldn’t even describe how beautiful it all worked.
“Wanna dance?” Eddie flicked the rim of your champagne glass, a happy grin on his face.
You were happy the ceremony was over, everyone now able to relax and celebrate the happy moment with booze and food. Everyone drove across town to city hall, but the wedding theme had still followed them over there.
“Hmm, yes, please.” You placed down your glass, wrapping your arms around his neck, pressing your body close to his. Mostly everyone was dancing now, and if they weren’t, they were engulfing themselves on the buffet and chocolate fountain. They, meaning the children and Dustin.
“My feet hurt so bad. I think I got blisters.” You groaned through a chuckle.
“Tell me about it.” He smirked in agreement. “These things are probably full of my blood.”
You smiled and looked over to your best friend, who was dancing her heart away with Jonathon in the middle of dance floor. “It’s worth it, though. She looks so beautiful.”
Eddie looked over and smiled softly. “Yeah, she does.”
You laid your head on his chest and wrapped your arms tighter around him, swaying softly to the happy tune of whatever song was playing. You had no idea what it was. The irony, warm feeling of his rings brushed along your neck, hair being pinned up with a few loose curls.
“I hope Joyce and Hopper are next.” You smiled when your eyes found them, dancing softly and gazing into each other’s eyes. They looked like they saw no one else.
Eddie chuckled and found them, too. “I’d say so.”
Then you found Dustin and Suzie. Lucas and Max. Mike and Eleven. Couples dancing, kissing and being happily in love. Weddings were stressful, sure, but you loved them. You loved being in love. You looked up to Eddie and grinned, standing up taller to peck him on the lips. “I love you.”
His hand squeezed your waist and he smiled, bringing up his other to hold your cheek. He melted his lips against yours in a sweet kiss, the taste of the chocolate fountain evident on his tongue. “You have no idea.” He replied.
Your curled up hair was starting to fall apart after all the clean up duty. You and Eddie, along with some of your other friends, stayed to help clean the hall when Nancy and Jonathan left for their honeymoon. It took several hours to take down all the decorations, put away the food, tables and chairs. You and Eddie were the only ones left now. You sent everyone home, assuring them you could finish by yourself, and that only left you to sweep the floor and throw away some trash.
The bottom of your feet were filthy, having disregarded your heels so your feet didn’t have to suffer during clean up. Your dress was bunched up a bit by your waist.
“You bout finished, babe?” Eddie asked, coming back inside from taking out garbage bags. His hair was also a bit more frazzled, his black suit jacket thrown over a chair, leaving him in his white button up.
“Yeah, I think so.” You half panted, placing your hands on your hips as you turned to greet him. “Get everything outside taken care of?”
“Yeah, Hopper just left.” He sniffled, wiping away some sweat. “You hungry? I could order a pizza or something.”
You rolled your head back in exhaustion, admiring how handsome he looked. “Had too much cake. I’ve got a food baby.”
He chuckled as he looked down to your belly, coming close to wrap his arms around your waist. He kissed your forehead lovingly and you tiredly laid against his chest, lazily resting your arms around him. Without your heels, your head barely came up to his chest.
“I think this is my favorite version of you.” Eddie smiled softly, lips brushing over the side of your head.
You narrowed your eyes, cheek squished against his chest. “Why? I’m dirty.”
His laughter sounded in your ear, pulling away so he could hold you out in front of him. “I like when your hair is like this. It’s cute.”
“It looks like a rats nest.” You retorted.
“And your face is all red.” He continued, holding your arms. “And you got those little lines between your eyebrows from concentrating so much.”
“Well, we have to make sure this place is cleaned otherwise we’ll piss off the city council- are you sure it looks alright?” You went to turn away but he grabbed your jaw, turning you to give you a gentle kiss.
“You look pretty handsome, yourself.” You relaxed against his lips. “Class suits you.”
He smirked, a breath hitting your cupid’s bow. “That right?” His forehead connected to yours, his hand reaching around your waist to push you against him. He ducked down to kiss you fully, bodies melting together in the empty room.
Your tummy fluttered as his hands roamed at your sides, deep kisses being briefly broken apart for a breath of air. “You wanna?” He husked, smirking against your neck.
“Here?” You burned, arching your back slightly. “Don’t you think- are there cameras?” You looked up to the ceiling, looking between corners.
He held you up as he kissed on the exposed skin of your chest, the plump skin of your breasts that shown was caressed by his tongue.
“I don’t see any.” He murmured seductively.
“You didn’t even look.” You pretended to scold him, but you inhaled a sharp gasp as he bit your skin softly. “You’re awful. Yes, I wanna.”
You pulled his face so you could kiss him, and he picked you up by your thighs to put you against the wall. You throbbed for him as he pressed himself against you, your skin shining with a lustful glow that made his heart erratically beat. Your hands roamed his chest, the blades of his back, anything to get him closer to you. Anything to feel good. He always made you feel good, and he always took care of you.
There was a time where you thought you’d never be able to experience that again. You never thought you’d be able to be intimate with Eddie like this. You never thought you’d be able to be touched, caressed and pleasured without second guessing yourself or who you were with.
You never would have said it then, but now, after two years from your assault, you couldn’t deny the fact that you found some benefit from the situation. You had to if you were going to live with it. If there was anything you learned from that night, it changed the way you saw the world, and not in a bad way. It made you smarter, careful. It made you learn things about yourself, who you wanted to be. It was a chapter in your life that had come and gone. That’s how you dealt with it. When ptsd and trauma flashbacks came, you dealt with it like you’d learned how to. Sometimes they were nothing, sometimes you nearly went to the hospital, but you dealt with it either way, and never alone.
“You want this, baby?” He pulled the straps of your dress down to free your breasts, and he wrapped his warm lips around your left nipple.
“Yes.” You tangled your hand in his hair, shamelessly rocking your hips up to his. “I need you so bad.”
He kissed and suckled on each breast, taking his sweet time, moving down the valley between them as best as he could with your dress still in the way. When he’d freed himself from his pants, rubbing himself up your slick, you buried your face in his shoulder and tightened your arms around his body. “Tell me, sweetheart.” He kissed your collarbone, teasing you, but he didn’t ever not ask that question.
“Yes, yes, yes.” You chanted, almost drunkenly, eyes already glossing over. “Fuck me, Eddie.”
He moved your panties to the side, sliding his cock inside of you slowly, burying his face in your chest. It was the burning stretch that made you whimper, but it just felt so, so good. It was slow at first, it usually always was. Eddie rocked into you a few times, grunting lowly to give you time. He always gave you time. The burn started to go away, and you leaned back to connect your lips passionately, silently telling him you were ready.
Your mouths were everywhere, sloppy and needy, the taste of one another driving you mad. You whimpered desperately into his mouth when he finally gave a sharper, more fluent thrust that moved you up the wall. Your response made him do it again, and again, and again, until he was at a pace that had you crying into his shoulder again. Skin slapped quickly, stomachs tightened and your teeth dug into his shoulder that made him groan.
Sometimes the only thing you could ever really do during sex was cry. Sometimes it just felt too good and that was all you could do. Eddie never questioned it, not anymore.
He could feel you clenching around him, and he gave one more thrust before he reached his orgasm, forcing a sob from your throat as your legs trembled in his sore arms. Your mouth was agape, tears rolling down your face as you panted, gulping and whimpering sounds squeaking their way out of you. Eddie huffed loudly, readjusting his hold on you with a fuzzy head.
“Thank you.” You choked, eyes fluttering closed, your body rocking with pleasure.
Eddie had assured you countless times you didn’t have to thank him for sex, and you knew you didn’t. You never meant to say it really when you did, so he learned to just accept it.
“Let’s go home.” He kissed your cheek.
Your panic attacks were easy to maintain and they had been for awhile. You’d gotten extremely well at mastering them, keeping them from overwhelming you too badly. It hadn’t always been that way, definitely not. But in the course of the last six to eight months, you’d impressed even yourself with your skill.
You’d done certain techniques, some worked and some didn’t. Journaling didn’t help shit. You thought it was boring. Going for walked helps sometimes, only if it wasn’t too hot. Deep breathing helped a lot, especially if you could hold on to Eddie’s hands or his shoulders. And sticking your face in a bowl of ice water always did the trick.
In the beginning he encouraged you to seek out for additional help, help that he knew he couldn’t give you. Sure, he was always there to listen and to be at every beck and call, but he’d never be able to understand what you went through. You saw a women’s support group almost two times a week back then, and now it was just once a month.
The worst panic attack you’d had, which haunted you and Eddie both, was last year. Eddie had to take you to the hospital, and even he at the time thought your fear was something more than panic, that’s how bad it was, like something was actually wrong. In these two years you’d been to the emergency room twelve times.
You hadn’t had one like that in a while, or really any. They were small, here and there. So when your eyes cracked open, trying to squint in the dark so you could see the time, you knew something was off, because you were past the point of waking up in the middle of the night. You were anxious was the first thing you realized. Your chest felt warm and your heart was beating more quickly than it should.
Great.
But it was okay. You’d be fine. You knew it would pass if you gave it time. You turned to lay on your back so you could breath easier, glancing over at Eddie in the dark who was sound asleep. You closed your eyes and inhaled through your nose, counting to five, held it for 5, then let go. You repeated it for awhile, but your body felt oddly uncomfortable besides just feeling too warm.
You laid there and breathed for almost twenty minutes before you decided you needed a glass of water. Shuffling through blankets, you sat up and lifted the comforter off your sweaty body, and even in the dark you could see the substance that was on the sheets beneath you. Your heart leapt in your throat and you turned to switch on the lamp by your bedside.
You’d gotten your period. Blood was bright and crimson on the white sheet, all over your thighs and ruining the pair of blue sleep shorts you were in. This wasn’t a big deal in itself. You’d gotten your period many times in the night, but your body didn’t seem prepared for it this time. Maybe it was the fact you were already trying to fight off an anxiety attack, who knows, but your eyes tripled in size and you gasped.
Eddie was awake immediately.
“Y/n?” He said through sleepy, alarmed eyes. “Y/n- hey, what’s the matter? What happened?”
Your anxiety immediately seized up to pure panic. The blood was just too much. It was everywhere. Not really, but to you, right now, it did. You started gasping, your throat bopping noisily as your hands shook above your legs.
Eddie’s eyes widened when he saw the blood, grabbing your shoulders in confusion. “Hey, hey- honey, look at me.” He turned your face toward him, more like pried it away from your lap.
“Shit- Eddie, I’m sorry, I- I got my period, I’m sorry.” You rushed, voice shaking and unsteady. You couldn’t keep your focus on him. You kept staring at your legs that were also shaking now.
“Baby, hey, it’s alright.” He cooed, scooting closer to you to wrap his arm around your back. “You don’t need to get upset. It’s not your fault, y/n, just take a breath, alright?”
You nodded, lifting your legs to try and avoid getting more blood on the blankets.
“Okay, uh- let’s get you cleaned up, yeah?” He looked your face over, sitting up more to grab your elbow. “That okay?”
There was no reason to have a panic attack over this. There was no reason to breathing so irrationally like you were doing. Eddie helped you stand, giving your shoulder a squeeze as he turned to the dresser where you kept your clothes. You tried to keep looking at him, but your eyes drifted back down to your legs. Your hands were vibrating at your sides, your chest continued to burn. You watched as a small bead of blood rolled down to your knee. Then it hit you.
You froze, your stomach flipping upside down. God, there’d been so much blood on you that night. You bled for days. You’d had to throw out your clothes so Eddie wouldn’t see.
“Eddie,” You cried, bile resting at the back of your throat, eyes wide with terror. “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie-”
“What, what, y/n-” He grabbed your face, throwing down your clothes he’d gathered when you started completely panicking.
“Get it off me!” You screeched, sobbing as you looked down to your legs. “Please, please, please!” You begged him desperately through violent cries and a thrashing body.
He quickly reacted and practically dragged you to the bathroom, flipping on the light and throwing the shower curtain open. He turned on the cold water and grabbed your waist, putting both you and him under the freezing cold water.
You didn’t react to the water that hit you in the face, or Eddie dropping to his knees to grab hold of your legs. You went into a frenzy. You bent your body over his head, hand smacking against the shower wall to brace your weight. Your body was overcome with a disgusting feeling of violation, your skin buzzed with ick and you heaved above him. The nausea in your stomach turned into a burn, an ache that wasn’t even really there, only in your head, but that was real enough for you. You screamed and grabbed your stomach with your other hand, eyes clamped shut and cold water making your clothes heavy, Eddie’s too.
Fear surged through your body, although fear never quite seemed to sum up the feeling, and your breath came too quickly. You weren’t getting in any air. Your skin buzzed and your throat was raw. You were practically screaming, hovering over Eddie. And then you gagged, nearly tripping over him as you gripped his shoulder, a mixture of water and stomach acid barely dribbling out of your lips and onto the shower floor.
All the while, Eddie’s hands were furiously trying to get the blood of your skin, the water turning a crimson red. His hair was wet and stuck on his face, black sweatpants now extremely heavy. Your clothes were stained but the water helped the brightened tone of it. He didn’t even look at you. If he did, he’d be lost. He had to fix what was making you panic to get you to calm down. His ears were thumping from how loud you were, sobs and shrieks making his bones rattle. Then he heard the tail tell sound of you throwing up.
When the water was no longer red, he finally breathed. “Y/n.” He said firmly, standing quickly on his own unsteady legs to catch your flaying arms. “It’s gone, baby, it’s gone. Look, look, it’s gone.” He grabbed your face to get you out of your trance, guiding you to look down. “Take a breath. Breathe. Breathe.” He pulled you to his chest, not even really sure if you were registering what he was saying.
And you didn’t, but within a few more minutes of hysterics, you pushed your face away from his chest to look down to your thighs. They were clear and the blood was gone. The sounds of your panic were quieting down and your arms finally locked around Eddie’s like his were on you. You could hear how loud his heartbeat was against your ear, your body shaking, and not just from previous anxiety.
The cold water was still beating down on you, Eddie shushing and rocking you gently all the while. He kissed and rubbed the back of your head, caressing your neck and your temple, doing everything he could to make sure you were grounded and wouldn’t pass out. You had before. But he could feel your deep, shaken breaths against his own, and he knew you were alright now.
You stood there until you both were shaking from the freezing water, but it brought a sense of relief that you didn’t want to leave. Your mind always felt empty after attacks like these, but it had been so long since you’d had such a bad one. Why hadn’t you been able to brush this one off? Why did it bother you so much? Your period had never triggered this kind of response from you? You couldn’t be back tracking your progress.
Everything seemed like a foggy dream now. The assault was not front and center anymore, neither was the image of your bloody and bruised thighs. You were okay now, but you fucking hated the fact you still had to deal with these. They were just so damn scary, and you sure as shit knew they scared the hell out of Eddie.
Eddie reached behind him to turn to water off, carefully guiding your steps over the edge of the tub so you wouldn’t slip. You both were shivering, and he grabbed a towel to wrap around your shoulders. “Get you some clothes, huh?” He said softly, tapping your chin as he guided you out of the bathroom.
He picked up the clothes he’d had before and sat them on the bed next to you where you’d sat down, trying your best to get off your sopping wet clothes. He gently grabbed your arms and tapped them so you’d lift them up, and he peeled your shirt over your head, helping you take down your sleep shorts and ruined panties. He threw them in the corner of the room.
You attempted to dry yourself but your limbs were too shaky, so he took the towel and crouched in front of you, taking your legs in his lap so he could dry you. You let him. He thought you were going to fall asleep because you looked so out of it, but it wasn’t nothing he’d seen before. He knew you needed to have time before you could talk about it.
Once you were dry and changed, Eddie did the same to himself, keeping his eye on your sunken form. You were left in a state of deep sorrow, an aching guilt that always crept up in you after a panic attack. Once Eddie started drying his hair, you got off the bed and walked out of the room without him noticing. You just needed a moment to yourself. Just a minute.
You curled yourself up on the couch and pulled your legs close to your body. You couldn’t do anything else but cry. You called these little moments pity parties, the tremors of a meltdown that you never could surpass. You buried your face in the material of the couch, weeping softly.
When Eddie followed you out there, his first instinct was always to go to you, always, but he had to give you a minute to cry. He was sure that over the years his jet black hair had turned a few pieces grey. He ever actually checked, but he could imagine he’d get the salt n’ pepper look before thirty. He always felt guilty for his broken heart over you, because he knew it didn’t hold a candle to what you’d been through or how you felt. When he decided you’d cried alone enough, he went to you.
He sat on the edge, barely having any room, and laid his torso atop of yours, his chest against your back to hold you as best as he could. He kissed your shoulder repeatedly, his fingers brushing away your wet hair comfortingly. “I’m sorry.” You cried, tears dropping down your face.
“No, no,” He whispered, barely audibly as he kissed your cheek. “It’s alright, baby.”
You cried for several more minutes, curled up on the couch with him hovering over you. He gently rubbed your back and gave your torso kisses and little nose rubs, hoping to ease your sorrow in anyway.
“I wasn’t going to go to my meeting tomorrow.” Your voice cracked, staring off into the space of nothing.
Eddie said nothing, perching his chin on your shoulder blade so you could talk. He knew you were ready.
“I thought- I thought I didn’t need to.” You admitted, a flame growing to your face that he didn’t miss. “But when I saw the blood I- all I could think about was..was when,” Your voice broke and your eyes glazed back over again when you felt Eddie tense.
“It’s been so long since I had one that bad. I thought maybe I was done.” You sniffled, silent tears rolling down your face. “I just…I don’t know, it just..I- don’t,”
“Shh, shh,” He petted your head, lifting slightly off you. “You don’t need to rush. I’m here, take your time.”
You squeezed your eyes shut and buried your face in the couch, whining out a little cry mixed with groans, feeling frustrated with yourself.
“I’m so stupid.”
“Stop that.” Eddie said sternly, squeezing your arm. “Don’t say that. You’re not stupid.”
You didn’t answer him, you just cried. You’d never really felt so much self hatred after a panic attack before, but right now, you were very aggravated with yourself, for your body to still be so affected for something that happened so long ago. You were tired of having these attacks in the middle of the night, keeping Eddie up and worrying him to death, begging him to take you to the hospital even though you knew deep down that you weren’t dying.
“You know you have to talk to me, baby.” He said softly, rubbing your back. “You gotta tell me what you’re feeling.”
You knew that, but you also knew he wouldn’t want to hear you say the things you felt, right now. Either way, it wasn’t fair.
“I’m mad.” You croaked.
“Mad?”
You nodded, still pressed into the cushion of the couch.
“Why?” His fingers traced your spine.
“Me.” You cried. “I hate myself.”
You felt his hand stop, his gaze sharpening on you. “Why?”
“Because,” You hiccuped.
“Because, why?”
You whined through tears and forced yourself up, your hand digging a fist into the couch. “Because I’m a fucking mess!” You scoffed.
“I act like I’m fucking unstable.” You whimpered, wiping at your face. Eddie stared at you, holding his palm on your lower back.
“Y/n-” He swallowed.
“I shouldn’t be doing this anymore!” You started sobbing again, looking at the floor, anywhere but his face. “I can’t- my entire life is just- just focused on what happened and it’s so humiliating!” You started to pull on your shirt and he took his hand away from your back, knowing you didn’t want to be touched.
“I’m tired of freaking out and I’m tired of meetings! I’m tired of- of everyone saying how proud they are of me and that I’m strong. I’m not fucking strong, look at me, I’m a fucking wreck all the time!” You wailed, snot dripping down your nose as your head hung low.
“It’s so embarrassing, I shouldn’t be doing this shit a-anymore.” You bent over to press your elbows into your knees, burying your face in your hands. “I don’t want to do it anymore.”
Eddie never knew what to say when you said things like this. He could help you with anything and everything else, but hearing you talk to negatively about yourself made him sad. He had to force back tears that glazed over his eyes, taking a shallow breath.
“Sweetheart,” He refrained from scooting closer to you. “What’s got you saying this stuff, huh? You’ve not said anything like this before.”
Your body shook from your tears. You couldn’t possibly imagine that you had anymore to cry, but they kept on coming. “It was my fault.”
Eddie paled at your remark. “Y/n. Stop it.”
“It was.” Your chest heaved as you balled into your hands, hair still dripping wet. “It was my own fault and I- my dress..my d-”
“Hey,” He grabbed your shoulders and made you face him, eyes focused and jaw clenched. “What are you saying, huh? That you asked for it?”
Your sobs were loud in his face, your skin red and blotchy, snot dripping over your cupid’s bow. “It should’ve been- longer.”
This wasn’t the first time you’d said something like this before, but it never was easier for him to hear or for you to say.
“What about Nancy then?” He grabbed your face to hold you upright. “What about her dress? Would she have asked for it if she’d been raped instead?” He said sternly, almost harsh, because it was vital to him that you understood.
“Answer me, y/n.” He shook you lightly. “Would she have deserved it?”
You shook your head, voice quivering and full of emotion. “No.”
“No, she wouldn’t, and neither did you.” His eyes glazed over. “You didn’t fucking deserve that and you didn’t fucking ask for it, okay? You can’t think shit like that, understand? You just can’t.”
You grabbed his thick wrist and squeezed. “Then why did It happen?”
He touched his forehead against yours, sighing deeply. “I wish I knew, honey. I’m so, so sorry. I wish you could know just how sorry I am, but baby, you gotta believe me when I say that I’m not going anywhere, alright? You know I’m not. You don’t need to be embarrassed around me. There’s nothing you ever need to be embarrassed about, alright?” His lips ghosted over mouth, nose edging yours.
“That’s what you do when you love someone. You take care of them, right? It’s what we do.” His heart ached at your broken face, your tears now slowing and sobs quieting.
You caught your breath, gulping and swallowing loud, sniffling and blinking wet eyelashes as you tried to calm yourself. You were growing exhausted, your body too tired to keep itself so worked up. “I just wished it didn’t happen.” You said softly. “It’s..it’s hard to like who I am now.”
He kept blinking away his tears. He always had his breakdowns in private. “Well, I like you.” He gave you a delicate smile.
He took his thumb and swiped at your tears, fixing your wild hair and sweeping it from your face. He wiped your nose with his sleeve. “We do it one day at a time remember? Just because tonight was bad doesn’t mean tomorrow has to be.”
“I know.” You muttered, staring at his chest while he stared at you. “I wish you knew how much I love you. Loving you is the only thing that’s ever felt stronger than..than him. You keep me sane when everything else around me is insane.”
Him. Him.
Eddie gulped, grabbing your waist. “Come here.” He pulled you into his chest, leaning back to rest against the arm of the couch. He wrapped his arms tight around you and you laid your cheek against his chest.
“Baby, it’s okay to not be okay all the time.” He said after a moment, his face pressed in your hair. “It’s not all going to go away.”
You didn’t say anything. You knew he was right.
“And that’s nothing to be ashamed of, you hear me?” He continued, your legs between his. “When there’s a bad day we work through it, don’t we? Don’t we always get through it?”
You nodded slowly, sniffly. “Yeah.”
“There’s no reason to hate yourself, y/n. I wish you could see yourself how I see you.” His palms were pressed against your back, cheek pressed against the side of your head. You could feel how erratic his heartbeat still was.
You both sat in silence for awhile, still allowing your body to calm down. Your mind kept replaying how worked up you’d gotten all because you’d gotten your period. That just didn’t make any sense. It had never triggered you before. You couldn’t remember what had caused your last panic attack.
“I just don’t understand why it still bothers me.” You said after a moment, voice drained and exhausted.
Eddie’s head leaned against the arm of the couch, still holding you close with his legs wrapped around yours. “Y/n,” He sighed heavily. “You always..”
“Always what?” You peaked up at him.
He swallowed and met your eyes. “You always downplay what happened and- and you just..you just can’t rush healing from that, honey.” He said carefully, not wanting to push your buttons, but he said only truth.
“When you’re talking about..what happened you.., well you always tell me ‘it’s okay, eddie’,” He rested his hand at the base of your neck.
“And it’s not okay.” He squinted his eyes. “What happened is not okay, but you are, y/n. You’re okay and you’re alive and you make me so damn proud, you know it?” He cupped your cheek, pressing his forehead to yours again.
“No matter what happens, if things get bad, nothing will change between you and I. Okay?” His breath blew against your lips, a salty tear falling down your cheek. You nodded, gulping, and he kissed the corner of your mouth.
“Will you go to my meeting with me tomorrow?” Your voice broke. If you hadn’t been so out of it, you would have seen the tear that fell from his eye.
“Yeah, baby, I’ll go with you.”

Too Many Mimosas (Rhett Abbott x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Christmas morning in the Abbott household is nothing short of awesome but beware when Royal takes on the role of bartender
"Daddy! Mommy! Daddy! Mommy!" Amy screeched as she ran in and pounced on you both. "Santa came! Santa came!"
You felt your husband's side of the bed shift a little as Amy rolled off him and ran out of the room to wake everybody up. "Motherfucker," he groaned, rubbing his face.
"Too early?" you mumbled.
Rhett looked at his phone screen on the nightstand next to the bed.....five thirty in the morning. "By my watch it is," he chuckled.
You laughed a little as he kissed your cheek. "Boys awake?" he asked.
"Nope."
"Good, lemme get a shower in before Amy and Hannah start running around," Rhett told you.
Quick as he could, he jumped into the shower and washed off the grog from the night before, only switching back into his pjs to stay comfortable. Tatum and Tanner were just starting to wake up as Rhett lifted one of them out of their crib and you took the other, the both of you heading downstairs to join the rest of the family.
"Hey, Doodlebug," Royal said to Amy. "Calm down alright? Ya'll gotta give momma and daddy a minute to get down here."
"Merry Christmas everybody!" Rhett said loudly.
Everybody welcomed you both into the living room, excited to finally be able to be together. The Duttons had all come down from Bozeman to celebrate with you, the whole clan having descended en masse the week before once school had let out.
"Alright, who's on first?" Kayce asked.
"Give everybody a minute to get settled," Cecelia told him. "And then we'll get everything handed out."
You heard the clanking of bottles in the fridge under the counter and Monica opening the hutch for the glasses. You knew that as soon as Royal started, things were bound to get very interesting.
"I GOT NEW BARBIES!!!!" Amy happily declared.
You and Rhett had to laugh. You had found four new Barbie dolls for Amy that you just wouldn't have passed up for the world. You two knew full well too that you would have to get her the dollhouse to go with them.
Hannah was so happy and excited to have finally gotten Barbies of her own along with a few hand knitted sweaters from Cecelia. Tate finally had a black cowboy hat to match his father's along with two brand new GI Joes and a bucket of green soldiers. All of the kids and even the grown ups had an absolute blast opening their gifts and finally, once all was said and done, Cecelia could throw breakfast into the oven.
"Alright drinks are ready, come and get'em!" Royal announced.
You yourself couldn't drink seeing as you were still nursing the boys but Rhett and the others enjoyed themselves to the fullest but by midday, you could tell that he and some of the others might need a nap later. Rhett's speech was getting a little slurred along with the others and his hair falling all over his face.
"Baby?" you said.
"Sup?" he chuckled.
"You might wanna go take a nap," you told him. "I think you've had a few too many."
"I've only had......maybe like.....four?"
You laughed. "Rhett I counted and you had six in the last three hours."
Rhett laughed and pressed a sloppy little kiss to your cheek. "Merry Christmas lovebug," he chuckled.
"And a Merry Christmas to you too Grumpy," you answered, kissing him back.
