I'm working on the concept designs for the Olympians au

I'm starting from the ladies because I still have to figure out how to design them(their husbands is gonna be a problem too) I had some concept in mind but I'm still not sure...

We have Penelope who is a mix between Athena and Amphitrite, i wanted to do some motifs that had to do with both water and sewing (spoiler i didn't finalize either one but I still have them as concept in my mind)

I like Clytemnestra quite a bit, because in theory she should resemble Hera but in her design she has her slightly wilder trait where she looks like a huntress, really strange color palette, to be reviewed... as a weapon she obviously has an axe

and then there's Helen who is obviously based of Aphrodite (but I drew something floreal to recall Persephone) I like her quite a bit I must say, the color palette is very pretty and reminds me of a little mermaid, the bottom of the skirt needs to be reviewed! yippie

The stench, that horrid stink of stagnant salted blood, creeping through her nostrils, burning them on their way to scrape her throat. That is the all too familiar scent of the Sanguine Sea, the tide that swallowed the Legion of the Daughters of the Sun, in their most ambitious campaign to conquer the Cemetery of Arks in the Dried Pass, in honor of the Kingdom of Dorok and the Three Eyed Sun.

The unbreakable juggernaut flinches for the first time in a thousand years against the creaking opening of a scallop Demon that hosted a Sanguine Siren inside, a monstrous, sublime muse of the deep abyss.

Renkora anticipated any other kind of Demon hiding inside of this scallop, perhaps a carrion craving Fleshmorph, or a lone Manticore. To her shock, halting the powerful swing of her cleaver that went straight for the neck, in sheer horror, of the unfolded memories forced back into her mind through that accursed smell of the sea.

Her other arm freezes as well, her axe held up high, unable to swing it forward, for an easy, clean slay. This Siren is playing tricks on the mind of the Knight, but in the end, hatred overcomes the paralyzing fear. And the axe is released from the froze, swinging for the skull.

INKMalia 2022: Day 4 - Scallop

“Renkora discovers the hardened shell of a monstrous scallop fiend.

The stench of demon blood infused saltwater takes her back to her days in the Cemetery of Arks.

🪼 SEASIDE!READER is obsessed with sea creatures, and Sam is more than happy to indulge her. He memorizes facts about octopuses and dolphins just to impress her. He’ll even sit through endless marine documentaries with her, secretly loving how passionate she gets.

🪼 SEASIDE!READER & Sam often go to the beach together — when possible, so while she’s out in the water (probably picking out seashells), Sam sits on the beach and reads books.

🪼 SEASIDE!READER could spend hours crouched over tide pools, watching tiny crabs scuttle and starfish cling to the rocks. She has a habit of talking to the sea creatures like they understand her, and she always gently returns anything she picked up, whispering a soft “See you later” before moving on.

🪼 SEASIDE!READER always ends up with sand in her hair, but she doesn’t mind, it makes her feel like she’s apart of the sea (it irritates Sam, though. There’s always sand in bed.)

"how old is he?" "24" "...and how old in mermaid years? what if 24 human years is like 5 years old for a mermaid.."

"how old is your character?" "21-22" "and he's dating you after making you his bodyguard?? actually- why not hire someone experienced instead of a new huntress? what does he need protection from? is he trying to manipulate you?"

"..... you're his bodyguard and doing an investigation..? why would you even accept being his bodyguard?"

"sea god? so he's the prime mermaid... you know that mermaids are evil, right? he's probably evil."

"why is the artist your only leveled up fighting partner?" "well, the cards and lore...." (< i say without elaborating on what goes on in the cards)

"oh a doctor, that's cool. he has a nice car.. you know what type it is?" "audi a6. what do you think of him?" "i don't get why he's cursed but he seems okay"

"this light guy is bossy. is he evil?" (< i was showing him the story from the very beginning before xavier becomes our partner)

"i don't like light sword guy's clothes" "...okay."

"so the evil guy has... shadow powers?" "it's energy" "shadow energy? i mean it's red and black so... but i like his fight style. would be even better if you had him levelled up."

"the gravity power is cool. i like that guy" (< i haven't unlocked him as a love interest yet so he thinks they're genuinely just normal adopted siblings. i certainly won't explain the truth 🫣)

"can you rank them from your favorite to least?" "the guy with the red shirt (rafayel), caleb, shadow guy (sylus), ice surgeon (zayne), light sword guy (xavier)" "why did you only remember caleb's name?" "...we met him at grandma's house. he's memorable."

Irredeamable developpement retrospective Part 3: The fountain So just as presented in the last part, this was my attempt at creating a single complex and interconnected setting for all of my games. I even had a bunch of games planned for this, including one some of you may have seen before.

This game was made on a whole other engine, so i won`t linger too much on it, but the planned story was about a small elf huntress, ascending the great titan (giant tree) to find increasingly imposing preys to hunt, such as troglodytes (giant frog people), drakes, wyrms, other sentient bugs and concluding on a battle with the nevermore, a black crow/dragon that served as the god of the tree.

Anyway, back to our actual game. The fountain took place in a nexus between several worlds, where several species from all over the multiverse lived, including humans, lizardfolk, goblins, elves, trolls, and several races of fae. At the heart of this world, was the coveted fountain, a well of pure magic that was the source of all reality and could remake it to the whims of any who were bold enough to find and use it.

From this premise, a main game was planned, an epic journey through the crossroads of lands, where a group from different races would meet and unite in their common quest to find the fountain and achieve their deepest wishes.

So the journey starts on human lands, a continent consisting of mostly deserts. The fountain is where i finally settled on an aesthetic for humans, making them mechanical, and fire-themed. They usually wield guns and use the metal, oil, and coal of their land to build fiery machines and factories. Other stories also give them the ability to nearly fully mechanize their bodies, turning themselves into metal demons. the second area would have been the lizardfolks/mermaid archipelago (don't ask why they are the second to last area in the plans, i dont know either) These would be themed around water and serve as an artificial/life amphibious force, working under the centaurians from the last few settings. The mermaids specifically were centaurians-humans hybrid, hence why they have features of both. Then the group arrives upon the mainland, where they are met with an overgrown swamp, infested with demi-fae, a group of several races mixed with fae blood, giving them the ability to use magic. This is followed by a series of urbanized forests controlled by the tiny, but industrious elves who are able to build dozens of man-sized war machines. The last obstacle on the journey is the shadowlands, a dark, cold, and desolated region, guarded by a race of ancient stone creatures. These old traditionalists and users of mystical shadow arts despise change and will do anything to prevent the fountain from being tampered with. ( i remember hearing the line "dwarves are incorruptible as stone" in shadow of mordor and it stuck in my head ever since, becoming a defining aspect of the trolls in my own stories.") And finally, the fountain, a place of infinite potential and home of the Fae, creatures that have been encountered during the whole journey, avatars of magic, nature and change. The fountain is a fantastical realm, a city of candy, floating over an ever-flowing lake of golden honey. The purest of faes reside in this realm, but they are far from the nature-loving beings met in the outside world. These Faes are cruel and ravenous, eager to consume the world and make a new one that will one day also be ruthlessly consumed.

Anyway, as you can tell from all the lore, i ended up putting a whole lot of effort into that setting. There was even supposed to be a whole second half of the game where the characters made their wish and the world would be twisted by the Fae magic into nightmares that would have to be fought and repelled before they replaced the region. We are slowly, but surely getting close to the end of this retrospective. Next we will go into the game that ended up giving irredeamable much of its mechanics. A small, self-contained story that ended up bridging the gap between the fountain and the current setting i have been building. See you in part 4: The city of dolls.

Kerasil - Mammoth stew as made by Melar. The peek of comfort food that makes the sores and aches in her body melt away. This is also Melar's favorite cause it's his wife's favorite:>

Yera - CHEESE BALLS. A rare treat but much easier to get than quality bone marrow but Yera's craving for them grows exponentially when she leaves home to Skyrim. Thank the Gods there are good cheese makers in Skyrim otherwise Yera would've perished early in her adventures.

Faylen - Pork Chops! Specifically boar but same difference. Great, meaty chops that'll satisfy any huntress on the move. Faylen may be more magically talented and a Spinner, but that doesn't disallow her from taking up the bow and having a great hunt like her parents.

Lorana Alithar - Stirfry noodles baby, filled with vegetables and seafood fresh from the sea. And if it has spice in it the better.

Brisala Alithar - Mushroom necromancer must have more mushrooms in her life. So a meaty stuffed mushroom is a great treat to have. Maybe a little messy at times but it hits the spot just right for her

Nylarril - Tuna steaks, or whatever the equivalent is in Tamriel. Big slabs of fish cooked to perfection caught on the high sea. Pair it with some stolen wine from the Bretons and fancy ceramics from the Altmers its a great way to end any day of piracy.

Syrenia - As a mermaid, there are very few opportunities for cooked meals so you take what you can. But if a 12 foot sea serpent mermaid has any favorite prey to hunt it has to be squid. Big Humboldt Squid like creatures make for a great hunt and a great meal after.

mermaid lost out at sea - december 15, 2023 - i overheard my classmate whom i shall leave anonymous say that she fantasised about being a mermaid when she was younger. as a result, this came into being. side note: i know that i forgot to give anything the ability to cast a shadow and that i quite literally tenth-assed the background. but that's not really our concern right now.

sistah chicken head - january 30, 2025 - lately an obsession with a certain turn-of-the-millennium game by id software sparked again, and now i've also been considering drawing every single character featured. this art piece also came into existence out of a desire to make something more realistic for a change. so to practice, i made an artistic depiction of the game's all-electrifying sorg-hating native huntress, hunter.

❤️ first kiss / realization

Eduardo’s ship had vanished over the now dark horizon hours earlier, but Julien couldn’t help staring in that direction. Not like there was much to look at, with the Smeraldo del Mediterraneo anchored near a barren rock far from the shore. No light reached the ship and even Julien’s werewolf sight could barely make out the outline of the small island. Sea and sky fused into one black pit. Waves lapped against wood in a rhythmic tempo, the only reminder that they weren’t floating into nothingness.

Soft steps and the creaking of planks had Julien tense and spin around. He blinked hard at the orange glow of a gas lamp.

A ringed hand gripped the lamp. Dim light cast dark shadows under its holder’s eyes, their emerald hue unrecognisable. His inky black waves, usually half-tied back, fell over his temples. His silver ring dangled over the exposed skin of his chest, where he had left his white cotton shirt unbuttoned. As per usual, his lips twisted into a grin.

Julien schooled his features into an unimpressed look. “Won’t the light attract attention?”

Sebastiano set the lamp on the floor. “Relax, love. We’re on the side of the island that faces the open sea. They’d have to see right through stone to notice us.”

He propped an elbow on the parapet, the hook’s absence noticeable on his prosthetic hand, and leaned against it. “Enjoying the view?” He gestured to the dark expanse.

Julien ignored him. “Do you think he’ll actually come to our aid? Eduardo, I mean.”

Sebastiano shrugged. “Why wouldn’t he?”

The glare Julien settled him with could’ve burned a hole through his precious ship, but Sebastiano stayed unfazed.

“He’s got no reason to believe we are going to beat either François or Bianca’s stepmother.” Julien crossed his arms over his chest and his eyes wandered to the sea. “Why risk bringing war to his country on such flimsy premises?”

“I think fleeing an island no one’s ever escaped before might’ve left a lasting impression,” said Sebastiano in a lilting voice.

Irritation bubbled in Julien’s throat. “You do realise we are leaving the fate of my kingdom in the hand of that stranger, right? It’s not a laughing matter to me.”

“To me either.” Sebastiano fixed him with a leveled gaze, his playful smirk just a bit muted. “I trust Mar. If she has a good opinion of the little prince, then so do I.”

Julien rolled his shoulders and relaxed his posture a little. “You put a lot of faith into one person.”

“You could use that, you know? Trusting people. Aside from your family, that is.”

Julien scoffed. “I trust Ro.”

Sebastiano grinned wider. “Afraid your brother’s fiancée counts as family.”

Rather than admitting defeat, Julien stayed quiet. He could grow used to Ro being part of his family. If he was honest with himself, he had already started seeing her as one of them a while ago, maybe even as far back as when she had thwarted the vampire huntress’s attack. Not that he would ever confess that to her.

“I don’t doubt Mar’s reliability,” he broke the silence, “but what if Eduardo has had her fooled this whole time?”

Sebastiano sighed. “Again, trusting people.” His smirk reappeared, alongside a mischievous glint in his eyes. “To be honest, the prince doesn’t look like he’s the brightest, and Mar has him wrapped around her little mermaid finger.” Something like pride coloured his tone. “Smart girl.”

“Such a romantic view,” deadpanned Julien.

Sebastiano stared straight into his eyes and stepped forward, closing the distance between them. “On the contrary, love.” Two fingers reached up to lift Julien’s chin and his heart stopped in his chest. “I’ll let you know I’m extremely romantic.”

Any reply slipped from Julien’s tongue as Sebastiano pressed his mouth against his. Julien’s eyes fluttered close. He tasted sea salt on his lips, rough like the fingers that held his face. The prosthetic snaked to his waist and trapped him between the bulwark and Sebastiano’s body. Despite the night breeze, his skin was on fire. It matched the flames that roiled through Julien’s blood and made his head spin.

Cold metal sent shivers up his spine as Sebastiano dragged his ringed fingers over his jawline and dug into his short curls. The light tug had Julien releasing a shaky breath into his mouth, one hand drifting to Sebastiano’s chest. His whole body trembled at the contact. Julien fisted his shirt and Sebastiano pushed harder against him, one knee sliding between his legs. Julien’s free hand ran to Sebastiano’s back, muscles shifting beneath his palm.

Sebastiano pressed his forehead against his and a breathy laugh rumbled through Julien, all the way to his toes. “Not fair. I only have one hand.”

Before he could think of a response, Sebastiano’s mouth brushed his again. He nibbled his bottom lip, then nuzzled his nose against Julien’s neck, a surprisingly intimate gesture.

Sebastiano drew back and Julien forced his eyelids to open. The green of his irises, muted in the lamp’s orange light, glinted at him. A softer version of his signature smirk crinkled the corners of his eyes.

He closed the distance once more and whispered into Julien’s ear, “Goodnight, love. Sleep tight.”

Sea breeze cooled Julien’s burning body as he watched Sebastiano retreat below deck, breathing ragged and thoughts a jangled mess.
