God’s Throne Room
1 Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half was its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold around it. 3 And he cast for it four rings of gold for its four feet, two rings on its one side and two rings on its other side. 4 And he made poles of acacia wood and…

Second Commandment Violations- Exodus 25:10-22
God instructs Moses to instruct Israel to build an Ark which will carry the tablets of the Law and serve as God’s mercy seat—the seat from which He will instruct Moses during the years they use the Tabernacle. The Ark of the Covenant represents the presence of God before the people so that the people have something tangible to remind them that God is with them.
This part of the story takes me to…

The Price Of Disrespecting God's Holiness
Brent Pollard
On Wednesday nights at the Andrews, North Carolina, church, I have attempted to teach about the monarchs of united and divided Israel. After we finished studying Saul, I explored David’s life and reign. In the most recent installment of this series, we discussed David’s transport of the Ark of the Covenant from Kiriath-Jearim to David’s newly established capital Jerusalem (2 Samuel…

sorry. but the idea of old man merlin puttering around in his kitchen in the early morning, fussing over the seating and chair logistics at his (round) kitchen table, and then getting frustrated with himself at coming up short- and having the bitter realization that he’ll always come up short, by a whole table actually, kills me.

I’m not afraid to dieeee ». Cette noirceur, cette solennité macabre. Puissantes.
