I’ve randomly started thinking the other day about what would happen if my Scarlet and Violet aces individually went on little trips to the other version (basically either one of my Scarlet aces visits my Violet aces or one of my Violet aces visits my Scarlet aces) and while I think it would be really cool if Quax (the Quaquaval) and Knight (the Iron Valiant) met, when I imagine one of them going to the other team I always think they’d get too distracted by some other Pokémon on that team to notice the vague ballet themes of each other (okay Quaxwell is the ballet duck not Quaquaval but you know what I mean) - Quax spends his trip to my Violet team flirting with Spriggie (and Spriggie’s more than happy to flirt back) meanwhile the moment Knight senses I have two Past Paradox Pokémon on my Scarlet team those blades are gonna be in a combined weapon in its left hand faster than the speed of light and either Luna or Blueberry is getting stabbed assuming Char doesn’t step in to stop them getting too close to each other and even then Luna’s part Dark and will probably be able to break through any protection Char gives Knight to swipe its face off

Just in general how I think they’d interact with each other:

Quax and Spriggie just spend the entire time flirting with each other

Char the Armarouge is very eager to finally meet some Future Paradox Pokémon in person and also a bit confused at Spriggie given his Dark type. Char the Ceruledge is less happy to socialise although she will willingly team up with Luna after discovering their mutual dislike of Knight. Knight’s not too happy about this and probably sees Char as an enemy for life

Luna attacks Knight and Cherry unprovoked and Knight attacks Luna and Blueberry unprovoked. Spriggie and Char are surprised to see fear on Cherry’s robotic face (not because it’s robotic but because it’s generally fearless)

Blueberry and Cherry also flirt with each other (because I love a good WaterxGrass ship) but in a more romantic less sexual way. Also they have to be careful about Luna and Knight trying to attack them as well as seeing them as traitors (yeah so I headcanon every Roaring Moon hates the Future Paradox Pokémon but couldn’t think up a better reason than “they all want to be the same” and every Iron Valiant thinks the Past Paradox Pokémon are objectively bad in a kind of “they didn’t have equality back then” kind of way. They’re both wrong). Also Spriggie also loves to play in Blueberry’s mane (Char’s not affectionate enough and Knight doesn’t trust Blueberry)

An incomplete list of Judas Priest songs I associate with Pokémon:

Breaking the Law: Quax, Spriggie, the Chars, Luna, Knight, Blueberry and Cherry, my aces in Scarlet and Violet. Usually at the same time

United: the same but usually only one quartet at at time. Also Quax and Spriggie are more in charge there (they sing the “so give me hope!” lines plus the first half of the quiet chorus at the end then the Chars join in for the second half of the quiet chorus and then the Paradoxes come in after that)

Grinder (I’ll get to songs that aren’t on British Steel eventually I swear): Quaquaval, especially Quax. It doesn’t help that there seem to be bird metaphors in the song

Metal Gods (I swear they’re not all from British Steel): Iron Valiant and Iron Leaves, especially Knight and Cherry

Living After Midnight (dammit another British Steel song I’m really bad at this): Quax and Spriggie

You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise (no comment): Char the Armarouge and Cherry

Love Bites (finally one that isn’t from British Steel): Spriggie, with Char (the Ceruledge) as his victim (yes I feel bad about this being a straight ship when this is a Judas Priest song. I’m very sorry. If it helps, I’m sure Spriggie would do the same to Quax if he could (though I’ve been imagining he does it to Char to try and cheer her up and obviously Quax isn’t known for being an edgy sword knight))

Which of the four skill types my Scarlet and Violet aces would specialise in if they were in the Ring Fit Universe (no, Char the Armarouge in arms was not an intentional pun on her species name. I just thought she only really fit that or yoga)

Bonus: plus my rides (with the idea being that they’re doing it in their Apex Build/Ultimate Mode rather than Limited/Sprinting Build/Low Power/Drive Mode even though I rarely if ever put them in battle forms because I guess I’ve got Medusa and Lucifer plus those two have more useful Tera types) and the non-native version-exclusives I’m hoping to add to my team in the weekend event that starts tomorrow

Don’t ask me how Violet (or Char the Ceruledge but I think the idea here is that since I already put the Chars in other tiers the pair of Fire Knights are the non-native version-exclusives I’m hoping to get from the event, especially given I didn’t put them in Pokédex order) would do yoga with swords for hands

I think it’s funny how my Scarlet aces are probably kept in line by Char but seem to be a closer friendship group meanwhile my Violet aces don’t really have anyone to keep them in line (because Cherry’s mischievous. No literally that’s its characteristic) but aren’t as close-knit

Also last night I was listening to the Blurryface singles (plus the Migraine EP) and I was thinking that my Scarlet aces match Tear In My Heart more while my Violet aces match Fairly Local more

I love thinking about the differences between how my Scarlet aces (Quax the Hardy Quaquaval, Char the Naïve Armarouge, Luna the Careful Roaring Moon and Blueberry the Gentle Walking Wake) and my Violet aces (Spriggie the Modest Meowscarada, Char the Adamant Ceruledge, Knight the Quirky Iron Valiant and Cherry the Quiet Iron Leaves) would interact. Like my Scarlet aces would spend the whole day in town going shopping and then watch the sunset together with Char making sure Luna doesn’t do anything wrong and Blueberry understands the rules it has to follow meanwhile my Violet aces are sneaking out in the middle of the night committing crimes and hoping Char and Knight’s animosity towards each other doesn’t cost them anything

Yes, I updated the Polar Biome first in Violet (because I thought it also had a pretty good cast of starters despite two out of three of the Sinnoh starters and one Unova starter being there. I’m more relying on Cyndaquil, Torchic and Scorbunny to be the ones carrying this biome) and Score is already getting on well with Spriggie

It’s so cold even Cherry looks frosty. Knight still seems unfrosted

I still prefer Meowscarada x Ceruledge and Meowscarada x Quaquaval but I’m returning to my Meowscarada x Cinderace ship

Hard to tell from these screenshots but Score seems to be slightly bigger than Knight (average-size Iron Valiant) and possibly even Spriggie (average-size Meowscarada). The average Cinderace is the same size as the average Iron Valiant and slightly shorter than the average Meowscarada so I believe Score must be on the tall side for a Cinderace

Why are Score and Cherry just staring at each other? Is it because the first thing I did on catching Score was fully evolve her and swap her to the front of my party to synchronise with her especially when I love synchronising with Cherry? I’ll never know because unlike Cherry I’m not a Psychic-type

My aces (yes that’s Pip. I did catch another Piplup I fully-evolved but he was quickly removed from my party in favour of an Oshawott I fully-evolved who then got replaced by Score) and Score who I love way more than Pip and possibly more than Knight
