If you want to ship Jinx with someone, that's fine. But I'm so tired of people getting upset when people don't think she could be in a relationship, and then trying to make a scene about it, calling those people abliest and bigoted.
I myself suffer from mental illnesses, two of which Jinx also experiences. The truth is, yes, there are people who are too mentally ill to maintain a healthy relationship. They are the minority of the mentally ill, but they exist. There are also many people who don't want that kind of relationship for reasons relating with their mental illness.
Jinx is mentally stunted and still acts like a child. She suffers from visual and auditory hallucinations to the point that she has difficulty distinguishing between psychosis and reality. She has severe PTSD due to the loss of those close to her and betrayal. She suffers paranoia, especially regarding what people's true motivations are, and irrationally assumes that everyone is out to get her. She is an unstable murderer with a severe lack of empathy and value for life, including her own.
Reality isn't always pleasant, and the reality is that, assuming they even want that kind of relationship in the first place, someone like jinx can not maintain a healthy relationship without serious help (which doesn't seem to be available in Zaun), and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. That doesn't mean it is wrong to ship her by any means. But acknowledging this reality is NOT abliest so long as you aren't generalizing that all mentally ill people don't want or can't have this type of relationship.
If you are making it out to be abliest, YOU are the problem, because you are either making assumptions, overthinking it, or purposely trying to cause turmoil. When you frame things that aren't abliest as abliest, you are making it difficult for actual victims and cases of ableism to be taken seriously. I understand you may think you are doing the right thing, but before you throw around those labels, please take the time to consider how something is problematic and if you are jumping to conclusions.

something i find upsetting about my doctor refusing rescue medication for my anxiety is that like. stress causes a lot of physical health issues. this is a proven fact that's widely accepted in medicine.
my chronic anxiety is having a massive toll on my body, because i am constantly feeling high stress, without break. if we remove the anxiety label from it, is this not a medical issue that can and should be treated?

We as Christians need to be more supportive and understanding of those who battle gender dysphoria. As a dysphoric follower of Christ, I never feel more judged and hated than when I walk into a room of "believers." I'm disappointed in us.

Reba and the stigma w/ Mental Ilness
After a nice nostalgic rewatch of the sitcom Reba, I have noticed and reflected on a lot of things. I think this show is sort of like a time capsule, dated but both fun and interesting to look back on, especially if you already have fond memories of said sitcom.
Reba just happens to be one of those "cozy" shows to watch. I imagine that many may watch the show and think of an aunt, grandparent, their parents, or in my case, my older neighbor who always had this show blaring when I would be sent over to ask for sugar.
Reba explores the life of Reba Hart, played by famed country musician Reba McEntire. Notably why you can catch reruns on CMT. The show lasted for six seasons, exploring issues and themes of divorce, teenage pregnancy, custody struggles, and more, while being set in rural (and very conservative!) Texas. It can come off as dated, but I think it is a good show to look back oh and notice how sitcom themes have changed. Reba is light and fluffy, while also having darker themes with a large emphasis on morals and betrayal.
I think season 3 is when the lives of each character starts to change, with the anti-depressant episode sticking out to me. in 2024, it would seem everyone you know seeks out help for their deteroriating mental health. Society definetely seems a bit more dystopian than it did circa 2004. Brock, the cheating seemingly never satisfied (be it sexually, romantically, intellectually) ex husband of Reba, suffers with depression, and after being medicated with "happy pills" becomes distant with current wife, and perhaps most annoying character on the show, Barbara Jean. Of course she is the former mistress, and totally against Brock's new found chemical weapon for his deteoriating mental health and stressful life. This theme stretches for three episodes almost, as their marriage becomes more strained and difficult. Due to on-going therapy sessions, Brock is forced to confront his own demons, his past, in order to overcome his present mental health struggles and prepare for his future, to actually be happy, within his life, and within his marriage.
I find season 3 to be very entertaining, but as an adult with my own battles, it has caused me to reflect and take a look at myself, my life, and of course my mental health. Notably, I really have nothing in common with the cheating bastard sitcom character Brock, but I think season 3's emphasis on his mental health shows how far we as a society have came in regards to the stigma around mental illness, much less the prescribed medications to treat said illnesses. Honestly, it is a bit depressing that there seems to be no good sitcoms that dwelve into these ideals nowadays, especially with a family unit, notably a dysfunctional, yet loving one.
To conclude, I feel that this little hearty and loving sitcom did one of the most accurate portrayals of mental illness struggles, and the crisis that may accompany it. WIthin season 3, it goes from Brock having a mid life crisis, doubting his current position/sense of self, realizing he is in fact a problem to himself and others, battling depression, and then accepting medication/therapy, while also tacking on Reba's own struggles! As we must not forget, she is a single mom who works too hard
who loves her kids and never stops
with the heart of a fighter
she's a survivor

My cousin, a published writer, a well-known poet in my country and a literature professor, for whom I've always been no.1 support ever since her first attempts at writing in high school, told me that I must stop writing as a hobby because that's her thing and since I'm writing fantasy mostly my writing could never have any important artistic value anyways.
#what happened was that i was feeling really down these past few days#like mental health dead in mariana trench#and i went to visit her because she lives like 10 minutes away and has a cat i can play with#but yesterday morning a friend of mine made a fanart (i guess i can call it that) of a fanfic i am writing for the five of them#she sent it to me and said she's also working on an actual painting on a camvas of her fave scene from my original story#and i was so surprised and exicted#that's actually a too mild description#and when i was visitting my cousin i showed her the pic of the drawing on my phone and explained it to her and she just said ....ehh..#and started texting someone#i was sitting there feeling stupid and thinking wow you could have at least praised my friend's art sytle or something#and when i was getting ready to leave she asked me if i was aware my writing has no artistic merit and fantasy is trivial literature#so i should just stop wasting time on that and focus on developing my art style more for her future poetry collections#i do the art for her book covers#and added how we already have an established writer in the family so i should focus on my role - becoming a good pharmacist#and she knows how much i hate that i'm studying pharmacy like it's the no.1 cause of me hating the direction in which my life is going#finished it off by saying she feels like what she's doing in going to be really great and important on a large scale one day#and how she wants me to continue being her shadow that follows and supports her#i left went home and started at a wall for hours#i just feel so dumb for getting excited over a silly drawing of something not more than 5 people will ever read#i genuinely hate the idea of people reading anything i write so most likely writing will just remain a hobby for me#and now i feel like the most stupid person on earth and am this close to deleting all my word documents from both my laptops

i don’t know why i still remember this but back when until dawn first came out, i watched mark and jack’s playthroughs first. when it got to josh having his breakdown when mike and chris were tying him up in the shed, they were both kinda laughing and being like why are you being so weird
then i watched emma blackery’s playthrough and she said how sad the scene was. and i just remember thinking how true that was. we were watching a kid’s mental breakdown; watching his mask fall and seeing what he was actually thinking and going through after losing his sisters. his delusion of power and perception of reality was broken and seeing how quickly he declined mentally was heartbreaking. and it’s only made worse later in the game when we find his transcripts from his therapists and see him experience auditory and visual hallucinations
it’s just interesting how the scene hits completely different to people who have faced mental illness than to people that haven’t
