Warning - Unnecessary Medical Billing Practices
I had a concerning experience with MTM Medical Billing. It came to my attention that they were engaged in providing and billing for unnecessary medical services. As a patient, I believe it is vital to trust healthcare providers and billing companies to act ethically and in the best interest of patients' health and financial well-being.
During my interactions with them, I noticed a pattern of overdiagnosis, unwarranted tests, and inflated billing for treatments that were not medically justified. This raised serious concerns about their practices and the potential harm it may cause to patients, both financially and physically.
It is essential for all patients to be vigilant and question any suspicious billing practices. I urge everyone to thoroughly review their medical bills and seek a second opinion if they feel uncertain about any tests or treatments recommended.
I have reported this issue to the relevant authorities and insurance company to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to protect patients and uphold the integrity of the healthcare system.
I hope my review serves as a warning to others who may be considering using MTM Medical Billing. We must all work together to maintain transparency and accountability in the medical billing process and put patients' well-being first.

[Fox News] Kamala Harris is once-in-a-generation candidate and this is a once-in-a-generation moment for America
From the sidewalks of Oakland to the halls of the White House, Kamala Harris’ story is the stuff dreams are made of…the American Dream. Because where else could the daughter of immigrants rise to the highest office in the land, shattering glass ceilings all along the way? Only in America.
Of course, she had plenty of examples to show her what was possible. Coming to America from India at only 19-years-old, her mother became a celebrated biologist. Her father had come from Jamaica, studied at UC Berkeley and became a renowned economist and professor at Stanford. So, they raised her not only to see what is and what has been, but to imagine what is possible — not who we are, but who we can be.
It worked because she thrived on that possibility. It took her to Vanier College in Montreal, Howard University and the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. It drove her to organize for justice. It helped her prosecute murderers and rapists as the District Attorney’s chief of the Career Criminal Division and eventually become San Francisco’s district attorney herself, then attorney general, U.S. senator and vice president.
It gave her the moral clarity to fight the big banks who paid for their own misdeeds by foreclosing on working families. It gave her the strength to fight for students and veterans who were taken advantage of by a for-profit education company and it gave her the tools to win bringing rent relief and badly needed resources to low-income communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, to deliver student debt relief to countless American, to help create millions of new jobs and more.
Now, because it’s her time and her turn, she is zooming through and into history and nobody deserves it more. Yes, we recognize that politics is a contact sport and we know that the attacks will come. In fact, some are coming already.
But we also recognize that a lot of the folks wearing different jerseys than we are keep running the same old plays of racism, bigotry, misogyny, ignorance and hate. From birtherism 2.0 and dismissing the vice president as a DEI hire, to claiming she “became Black” and purposefully mispronouncing her name, it’s clear that the closer we get to history, the louder and sicker they become.
That’s OK. She can take it because the contrast is easy to see.
It’s not just about the prosecutor vs. the felon or even the undeniable truth vs. rapid fire lies. It’s about progress vs extremism. It’s about who we can be.
Think about the landmark legislation Vice President Harris helped marshal through Congress and into law. Think about all the executive orders to raise wages, fight climate change, protect reproductive freedom and more that she helped make reality. Now compare that to the four years of deprivation and degradation we saw under Donald J. Trump.
Of course, elections are about the future forecast. So, compare former President Donald Trump’s all but official endorsement of the plans laid out in Project 2025 to President Harris signing a real bipartisan border security bill into law, protecting a woman’s right to control her own body and make her own health care decisions, extending the child tax credit that cut child poverty in half, building on the more than 15 million jobs she already helped create.
Compare Trump’s plan to declare martial law to President Harris strengthening the middle class, growing small businesses, expanding health care, keeping medical debt off your credit report and making sure no one raises taxes on Americans who make less than $400,000 per year.
While Harris knows that affordable internet is a must not a plus for all Americans, the MAGA Republicans refuse to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program. And while they’re screaming about imagined crises, we’re talking about raising wages, closing the wealth gap, lowering the cost of childcare and making sure getting sick doesn’t mean going broke.
That’s just a hint of the differences.
Simply put, Vice President Harris is a once-in-a-generation candidate who has generated more power and energy for this country than Duke Power. It’s been less than a month since she announced her campaign for president and she’s already unifying the Democratic base, expanding our coalition, stretching the map and forcing the Republicans to short circuit.
In less than two weeks, Vice President Harris has recruited nearly 200,000 volunteers, sparked nationwide grassroots organization, secured the Democratic nomination and raised $310 million, which is twice as much as Trump raised through all of July.
From campaign calls to rallies to local volunteers knocking on doors on a Saturday morning, folks are getting tuned in all across this nation like we’ve never seen before. It’s unprecedented. It’s historic.
Vice President Kamala Harris is a once-in-a-generation candidate and this is a once-in-a-generation moment for America. The choice is clear. Will we choose truth or lies? Will we choose hope or hate? Will we choose the future or be doomed to repeat the past?
Well, like the vice president says, we are not going back.

Major Kirk and the Women's Army Corps
By Jonathan Monfiletto
When Uncle Sam called, a young woman from Penn Yan – much like many of the young men all around her – answered. And she not only rose to the call but went above and beyond it during her nearly three and a half years of service in World War II.
Less than six months after the United States of America entered the global conflict following the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese forces, the U.S. government – through a bill approved by Congress and signed by President Franklin Roosevelt – established the Women’s Auxiliary Air Corps on May 15, 1942 “for the purpose,” officially, “of making available to the national defense the knowledge, skill, and special training of women of the nation.” In actuality, it took a Congresswomen – U.S. Rep. Edith Nourse Rogers, of Massachusetts, who introduced the bill a year before it became law – to ensure women would receive all the rights and benefits afforded to male service members when they supported the Army, after she had witnessed the status of women in World War I.
Less than three months after the WAAC was formed, in September 1942, Carlotta “Kirk” Crosier became Yates County’s first woman to enlist in this new military organization. Having been employed as a physical education teacher in Owego public schools at the time, she joined through the Binghamton recruiting office. In fact, though she taught at Owego Free Academy for two years by that point, a newspaper article from the time indicates she did not return for the 1942-1943 school year because she anticipated a call to service.
From Binghamton, Crosier reported to Des Moines, Iowa for basic training at the rank of private. With her experience in physical education, she helped the platoon leader teach the other recruits how to march. Perhaps as a result, she was one of two privates selected for the first officers training course for women.
Upon completion of this officer candidate school, 2nd Lt. Crosier served as executive officer for an all-female company stationed in Daytona Beach, Florida but preparing for duty in England. When the unit was transferred to Fort Devon, Massachusetts and then Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, Crosier was promoted to company commander. When Crosier and her fellow women reached England in July 1943 – the first WAAC battalion to do so, with three to five companies – they were assigned to the 3rd Division of the 8th Air Force. Here, Crosier worked as a company commander under Gen. Curtis LeMay.
Initially, WAACs worked only as clerks, cooks, drivers, and medical personnel. Indeed, a newspaper report quoting an article by Doris Fleeson in the Woman’s Home Companion speaks of female troops under Crosier’s command performing clerical communications and mess duties.
In September 1943, though, Congress and the President – again, through the work of Rep. Rogers – authorized the Women’s Army Corps (WAC), shortening the acronym by a letter and allowing women to serve overseas with the regular Army. Now, women began to take on roles as cryptologists, radio operators, photographers, mechanics, and more.
At this point, it seems, 1st Lt. Crosier was transferred to the 8th Air Force Headquarters Operations Section commanded by Gen. Jimmy Doolittle. Later promoted to captain, she served as the first female operations watch officer in the history of the U.S. military. In this role, working in the operations room in a bombproof, underground structure, Crosier helped coordinate the missions that sent U.S. warplanes on the attack.
Listening to pre-mission discussions among Doolittle and his staff, Crosier helped supply such information as the weather and direct such decisions as the target, the time, the bombload, and the number of planes. When the group made its final decisions for the mission, it was Crosier’s job to write the field order containing all of the pertinent information, send it out by teletype to the bomber divisions, and alert allied agencies of the upcoming attack.
A newspaper article, with the date of March 9, 1944 handwritten on it, calls to attention Crosier’s role in the bombing raids over Berlin, Germany. According to the article, the London Daily Sketch of February 23, 1944 carried a 12-square-inch photograph of Crosier and had this to say about her: “The girl who knows ‘The Gen.’ She is Lt. Carlotta Crosier, U.S. Women’s Army corps, operations watch officer at Eighth Air Force H.Q. On her accuracy depends much of the co-ordination that sends U.S. planes out on attacks. When her chief, Major-General Jimmy Doolittle, asks: ‘How many bombers will we be able to put up tomorrow?’ she supplies the answer.”
Another newspaper article, handwritten with the year of 1945, noted in its headline then-Capt. Crosier “Continues as Watch Officer” and indicated she was among the WACs “contributing considerably toward the successful completion of air attacks against Nazi Europe.” These women kept a constant check on each air mission as it was flown and kept records and plans for future information. Crosier specifically informed generals and other officers who planned air operations on the progress and reports of the current missions and prepared them for any emergencies in which information must be relayed to the proper channels.
Yet another newspaper article dates presumably from about the spring or summer of 1945, as it states Crosier had returned home to Penn Yan after two and a half years of service. Then, she didn’t expect to be out of uniform until almost another year. Indeed, she was discharged as Maj. Crosier in January 1946. Upon her return, she noted how her with bombing missions over enemy territory turned into such missions as dropping supplies over the Netherlands. Then, with little work for the WACs to do but wait to go home, Crosier volunteered to assist with the filming of a documentary about what she and her fellow women did in the European theater. In fact, she was in Paris the day the French held a parade to celebrate V-E, or Victory in Europe, Day.
In a V-mail letter home that was printed in a 1943 report in The Chronicle-Express, Crosier commented on receiving the hometown newspaper overseas and finding fellow soldiers with ties to Penn Yan and the Finger Lakes region. She also seemed to sum up the mission of her fellow women during the war.
“I believe I’m very fortunate in being over here and all of the Wacs are hard at work now and doing a fine job,” she wrote. “I’m very proud of the girls in my command. We are attached to the air force and are very proud of that. … I was very fortunate in being given an opportunity of going up in a Flying Fortress and it sure was a wonderful ship. As you know we are all part of the army of the United States and are regularly G.I.’s now.”

Navigating Traumatic Brain Injury with a Skilled Attorney in New Jersey
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a serious medical condition that can result from various accidents and incidents, including car crashes, falls, sports injuries, and workplace accidents. The impact of TBI on an individual's life can be devastating, leading to long-term physical and cognitive impairments, emotional distress, and financial challenges. If you or a loved one has suffered a traumatic brain injury due to someone else's negligence or wrongdoing in New Jersey, it is crucial to seek legal assistance from an experienced attorney who can help you navigate the complexities of your case.
In this blog post, we will discuss the role and benefits of having a skilled traumatic brain injury attorney NJ. We will explore how such an attorney can assist you in obtaining compensation for your damages while protecting your legal rights and ensuring that you receive the medical care and support you need.
Assessing Liability: One of the key roles of a traumatic brain injury attorney is to determine who was at fault for the accident that caused your injury. Your attorney will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, gather evidence such as police reports and witness statements, consult with experts if necessary, and evaluate all potential liable parties. Depending on the case specifics, liability may fall on another driver involved in a car crash, a property owner responsible for maintaining safe premises, an employer who failed to provide adequate safety measures at work or other individuals or entities whose negligence led to your TBI.
Calculating Damages: Another critical aspect of TBI cases is determining the extent of damages suffered by the victim. TBI can cause severe physical limitations such as paralysis or loss of motor function; cognitive impairments like memory loss or difficulty concentrating; emotional problems such as anxiety or depression; and economic losses such as medical bills and lost wages. Your traumatic brain injury attorney in New Jersey will work with you to quantify the full scope of your damages, taking into account both past and future costs and losses. This may involve consulting with medical professionals, vocational experts, and economists who can provide expert testimony in court.
Negotiating Settlements: In many cases, TBI claims can be resolved through settlement negotiations between the victim's attorney and the liable party or their insurance company. Your lawyer will use their experience and negotiating skills to pursue a fair and just settlement that covers all of your damages adequately. They will also protect you from being pressured into accepting an inadequate offer or signing away your legal rights before fully understanding the implications.
Representing You in Court: If a settlement cannot be reached, your traumatic brain injury attorney in New Jersey will prepare your case for trial and represent you in court proceedings. They will present evidence, cross-examine witnesses, make arguments on your behalf, and advocate for your interests throughout the legal process. Having a skilled litigator on your side can significantly increase your chances of obtaining a favorable outcome at trial.
Providing Emotional Support: Finally, it is crucial to recognize that TBI cases can be emotionally challenging for victims and their families. A compassionate traumatic brain injury attorney in New Jersey understands this aspect of the situation and provides not only legal guidance but also emotional support throughout the case's duration. They can connect you with resources such as support groups or therapy services that can help you cope with the impact of TBI on your life.
Conclusion:
If you or someone close to you has sustained a traumatic brain injury due to someone else's negligence or recklessness in New Jersey, do not hesitate to seek legal assistance from an experienced attorney who understands the complexities of TBI cases. With their knowledge, skillset, and empathy, they can help you navigate this difficult time while fighting for justice on your behalf. Contact a reputable law firm today for a free consultation and start your journey towards recovery and compensation.

In this blog post, we’ll be exploring the key benefits of hiring a workers compensation attorney New Jersey for your claim.
1. Understanding Your Rights
If you've never dealt with a workers' compensation claim before, you may not know all of your rights as an injured employee in New Jersey. However, an attorney who has experience in workers' compensation law can explain your rights to you and help you understand what kind of compensation you may be eligible for. This can be especially important if you're worried that your employer or their insurance company won't fully compensate you for your injuries.
2. Navigating the Complexities of the Legal System
Workers' compensation law can be complex, and there are many rules and regulations that you'll need to navigate in order to get the compensation you deserve. They can also represent you in court or during negotiations with your employer or their insurance company.
3. Obtaining a Fair Settlement
Insurance companies are always looking for ways to minimize their costs, and in some cases, this can mean offering a lower settlement than you deserve. A workers' compensation attorney can help you negotiate with the insurance company or your employer to get a fair settlement that covers your medical bills, lost wages, and other expenses related to your injury.
4. Avoiding Mistakes
One of the biggest benefits of hiring a workers' compensation attorney is that they can help you avoid mistakes that could hurt your case. For example, if you miss a deadline or fail to provide certain documentation, your claim could be denied or delayed. An attorney will make sure that you follow all of the necessary procedures and fulfill all of the requirements for your claim.

Sister Souljah (born Lisa Williamson in the Bronx on January 28, 1964) is an author, activist, and film producer. Bill Clinton criticized her remarks about race in the US during his presidential campaign. His repudiation of her comments led to what is now known in American politics as a Sister Souljah moment. She recounts in her memoir No Disrespect that she was born into poverty and raised on welfare for some years. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to the suburb of Englewood, New Jersey. She disliked what American students were being taught in school systems across the country. She felt that the school systems intentionally left out the African origins of civilization. She criticized the absence of a comprehensive curriculum of African-American history, which she felt that all students, black and white, needed to learn and understand to be properly educated. She was a legislative intern in the House of Representatives. She was the recipient of several honors during her teenage years. She visited Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Finland, and Russia. Her education was reinforced with first-hand experiences as she worked in a medical center in Mtepa Tepa and assisted refugee children from Mozambique. She traveled to South Africa and Zambia. She graduated from Rutgers University with a dual major in American History and African Studies. She became a well-known and outspoken voice on campus and wrote for the school newspaper. She was part of the Rutgers Coalition for Divestment, which prompted the University administration to divest $3.6 million in its financial holding companies. She and students across the state of New Jersey organized a successful campaign to get the state to divest more than $1 billion of its financial holdings. She spent the next three years developing, organizing, and financing programs such as African Survival Camp. She became the organizer of the National African Youth-Student Alliance and an outspoken voice against racially motivated violence in cases such as the race murder at Howard Beach. She is married to Mike Rich and they have a son. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence https://www.instagram.com/p/CoAQ8pGrHk9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

New Jersey
"Are you sure you just don't want to go home first Liv?" Babe Hefferon asked as he pulled down Olivia's bags from the rack above their heads. She had decided at the last minute to go to New Jersey first then home. New Jersey was where her husband Bill Guarene and his best friend Joe Toye were sent after they were both injured in Bastogne.
"I am sure Babe." Olivia Stewart returned glancing up at him, "I need to make sure he is okay before I go home and get bombarded with questions from not only his parents but mine." "Liv." He started again, he hated that she was going by herself to see two of the men they served with and even more that she was going to have to go from the Jersey Shore to South Philly by herself.
"Babe.' Olivia sighed as she stood up and started doing the buttons on her coat. "I know you want to watch out for me because of some promise you made to Bill. But I am a big girl, I served in the Army and with the paratroopers no less. I can take care of myself. Besides, how much trouble can I get into a military hospital?'
Unable to help himself, he grinned, by herself Olivia was on her best behavior. It was when she was with Easy Company that she got into trouble. He had heard stories from their time in Georgia and in France before they came back to England and was surprised that she knew how to behave herself from the start
"I should get off before they keep going to Philly." She said as she slid her well-worn medical bag over her head and let it rest on her right side. Babe nodded his head and pulled in for another hug tightly. "Be careful Edward." She said quietly, her words being muffled by his uniform.
"You too, Franklin." The redhead returned with a grin and wince when her hand smacked his chest. "I will see you in a couple of weeks." She returned as she stood up on her toes and pressed her lips against his cheek. Before making her way down the row, carrying her tattered medical bag and battered suitcase. She paused once at the end of the row and offered Babe a smile before she stepped off of the train.
***
"First time on the Jersey Shore?" The taxi driver asked Olivia, causing her to look up from her gloved hands to him. 'Yes, it is." She returned. "I take it you aren't here for fun." He had been eyeing her uniform since she got in the back of the cab, they had all heard of the women serving in the war, even seen pictures of them in the newspapers and magazines but he never thought he would see one sitting in his cab. "No.' She returned, "I just have one more thing to do before I go home.'
The other reason why she was putting off going home other than seeing Bill and Joe was because she knew her mother was going to be in South Philly and she wanted to put off seeing her for as long as possible. The fight they had was still fresh in the back of her head along with many other fights she had gotten into and she needed to process it before she did go home to face her family.
The cabbie nodded his head and pulled in front of the hotel that was down the street from the hospital. "Well, I am sure whoever you are seeing will be happy to see you." 'Thank you." She returned before she ducked out of the backseat and under the covering to the building.
***
"Lieutenant Stewart ma'am.' A nurse said from behind her a short time later, 'If you follow me, I will show you where you can wait. It seems that Sargent Guarene and Sargent Toye have been causing some sort of trouble." Olivia couldn't help her laughter that bubbled up, "Sounds about right for them. Always causing trouble in one form or another." The nurse nodded her head as she opened a door to a small adjoining room, "I will go see how long it will be." "Thank you.' She returned as she sat down at the small table and to the worn diary that held entries from her great aunt Lydia and her great grandfather Franklin to add to it. And knowing Bill and Joe, as well as she did, they would be a while and for once she was okay with the wait.
