Mentioned this before but as much as I adore the medic Leo headcanon, my favorite type of it is when it’s basically just Leo knowing the most surface level of stuff and carrying around a super basic first-aid kit in his pack. So he knows how to use gauze, and he’s got a ton of Jupiter Jim branded bandaids, and if you really needed it then he can hit you up with some ibuprofen but other than that? Nothing.

But. I love the idea that that changes post-invasion.

They’re pretty sturdy, all of them, so they can take more than one beating and really only need a bandaid for the fun of it. But the invasion hit harder than ice packs and “lots of rest” would help with, and I can bet that a post being beaten to a pulp Leo would have a lot of time on his hands to reflect and, maybe, learn a thing or two as he waits to get better.

It’s nothing excessive, not at first, but he watches veterinary videos, and live surgeries, and other videos in that same realm (because the books are, uh, a bit too jargon-y for him) multiple times over. Just so he knows. Just in case he needs to know.

In his pack, there’s a first-aid kit. With the use of a mini portal for extra space, the kit has grown to include everything from scalpels to butterfly stitches to sutures to even fiberglass patches.

And obviously the Jupiter Jim brand bandaids stay too.

Headcanon #2

Leo has three types of handwriting.

His real handwriting: Fancy cursive that looks professional and rivals Donnie's. He uses this with Donnie only.

The handwriting we see in canon: Clunky misshapen with random uppercases that he uses in front of everyone else. He uses this one in front of everyone just to mess with Donnie, Donnie has said that it isn't Leo's handwriting but no one believes him.

The classic doctor handwriting: He taught himself it when he was 8 because he wanted to be more like real doctors. He used it once for a paper contract with Big Mama, she misread enough that she signed the contract, agreeing to give Leo a lifetime supply of uranium for free. He then gave Big Mama a translated version of the contract. On the Twins 21st (the year Splinter agreed that Donnie could have uranium) Donnie also received two copies of the contract.

Hey 8′D So the backstory for this is pretty much over in this post (contains spoilers). This’ll be a short comic, only 38 pages, ‘cause it was actually supposed to be shorter but my brain ran off on too many details |D

One thing I will mention though is that I almost completely skip the fight scene in this, so if you’re looking forward to that, my bad. I don’t want to draw a fight scene in a comic just yet, I’m still a noob at comics.

Also there’ll be no set update schedule. I’m a busy woman and also too much of a perfectionist XDD I also have a bad habit of working on the pages that are more interesting to me at the moment, even if they aren’t the next ones in order. But I’ll try to upload multiple pages at a time. I started this on Nov 1, 2022, and only have 14/38 pages “finished”, I am very slow, so be patient X’DDD

Leo is streaming, his model is dressed in a blue unicorn hoodie, and blue jeans, it's seated at a bistro table with a afternoon tea set on the table. River is also on the table munching on a cookie. There is a chat box close to where River is sitting.

Leo: Okay, so I've mentioned I work at a clinic right, one day a client comes in and just says 'I need the Tea.' I sat there a little confused until I finally ask, do you want the top gossip, a drink, or are you looking to fill a prescription?'

Leo, and his model both take a drink of tea.

Leo: They understandably got annoyed, before handing me their prescription. Though they did ask if there was any good gossip I could legally tell them.

Chat is in a frenzy about this.

River: There are multiple people who want to know if you're clinic is very sketchy.

Leo: Is this about the whole some things being weirdly controlled? If so the clinic I work for found ways to make medicine that's not sketchy, just took a long time to develop working alternatives that didn't have very bad effects to the body.

River: D.M.B.RedFan wants you to clarify what you mean. Also.

River smacks the chat box with her fan a dozen times. Multiple people were 'Knocked Out'.

Leo: Well, I helped make, and test the prototype doses to see how they effect the body. It was a long and kinda painful process, but hey we needed a lab rat, and I wanted to, well...

Leo looks a little embarrassed. Then clears his throat.

Leo: Anyway, let's move onto a different subject, who wants to hear about the time I accidentally crashed into a movie shoot!

Chat is still going nuts, and at least a dozen people were 'knocked out' for trying to push the subject. But some noticed a Trans Rights sign was on the 'wall' behind Leo.

Medic!Leo Headcanons + Disaster Twins

Thinking about medic Leo, I think he dedicated a lot of time to organizing the medbay, this becoming a shared project for the twins. 

After the Shredder I also believe that as a surprise, Donnie built Leo his own “office” in the medbay. This is an corner with a desk, a laptop and a monitor, and some shelves for his medical books. Given that it’s been one of the times when Leo has been studying the most, given that he realized how much in danger they actually were.

Donnie also added access to some of his own apps, like the “Hack into Every Security Camera in New York” App, as a way to encourage Leo’s new position as leader.

Leo uses it both for its intended purpose, and for gaming lol

He does uses the security features, but he doesn’t do it as actively until after the Kraang when he finally starts to embrace the leadership role. 

Also, Leo may be generally messy with his things in his room, but his medbay (bcs it’s HIS medbay, he emphasizes it a lot) is spotless and organized, everything from materials to medicines, to his own notes. 

Donnie also gives him a tablet where he does his notes digitally, ending up doing a "manual" for his brothers so that in case he’s not able to do his job, his brothers have the information they need on his computer, everything being backed up in Donnie’s cloud. 

Fun fact: This manual has a cover made by Mikey that says "Leo's manual for ouchies *insert chibi Leo with a winky face*"

He also cleans and re-organizes the medbay when stressed lol. 

And he has a special cabinet for stickers and candy (Mikey is his sticker provider)

Headcanon #4

Leo is the most terrifying out of the turtles, not in the way that he is the most violent or easy to anger, but because he isn't.

Leo is the least violent with the bad guys they face, he usually just punches them a couple times and portals them, Raph hits them with his ninpo fists full force (or at least half force), Donnie regularly wants to explode the people they face, and Mikey swings them around like a yoyo.

And out of all of them Leo tends to be the most easy going.

So if you make Leo mad, you're screwed, because his powers are arguably the most terrifying and to get him mad means you have done something unforgivable. You will get no mercy. Your punishment will be Death/torture.

With Raph you would most likely get beat to death.

With Mikey you might get burned or strangled.

With Donnie your death would be violent and bloody but most likely fast.

But with Leo, he would be vindictive. Merciless in a completely unique way.

Where Raph would pummel Leo would slice, thick cuts in just the right places so you don't bleed out.

Raph, Donnie, and Mikey would kill, or maybe even spare you if you're lucky. Leo will torture you until your begging for the sweet relief of death.

Leo would mangle each one of your fingers and toes instead of just chopping them off. Leo would cut your eyelids off so you cant blink. He would make sure that the police never stop finding your body.

Leo would not stop, because whatever you did to make him mad is not something that you can fix.

And if he finally decides to end the torture.... Well, he can portal anywhere, who's to say he doesn't open a portal, one end right infront of your face.

The other in your stomach, forcing you to watch as your organs splatter onto the pavement infront of you.

As you bleed out, your blood poors from a glowing blue portal and splatters at the feet of the turtle you should never anger.

Rottmnt Leo headcannon

So, I’m a big Rottmnt fan and honestly have a random idea about the Medic! Leo headcannon. A lot of people believe Leo might be a Medic in the hidden city, which is what I’d like to add on to. What if Leo went to the Hidden city and worked as a pediatrician in one of the Hidden City’s hospitals? It’s a random idea that popped into my head at 3am, Leo just seems like he would be good with kids to me, and for some reason now I’m kinda obsessed with the idea.
