He stands on another rearing snake, and has weapons in his paws -- knives in his back paws, and in his front left paw, a little double-headed axe. A winged sun-disc with a snake draped over it hovers over him.

Metri is known to have had many important religious and political positions, including Administrator of the Nome and Priest of Maat.

The “Cyprus through the Ages” Collection at Medelhavsmuseet in Stockholm. This exhibit covers 7000 years of Cypriot archaeological history, with special focus on excavations at Ayia Irini/Akdeniz.

The Swedish Cyprus Exhibition lasted between 1927 to 1931. The findings of the exhibition were divided between Sweden and the British colonial government of Cyprus. The other part of the collection can now be found at the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia.

A rectangular stone block or stela, showing Ptolemy II and Arsinoe II making offering to various gods. It's mirrored, so they're shown on both sides, but standing before different deities. Arsinoe shakes two sistra while Ptolemy holds out a rope bag (?). On the left there's an enthroned falcon-headed god and a lioness-headed goddess; on the right, there's an enthroned goddess wearing the white crown, with another goddess with the Hathor headdress. It's very difficult to read any of the hieroglyphs, but I think the lioness goddess on the left is Sekhmet.

Jar in the shape of human breasts

Polished red ware double pottery jar in the shape of human breasts: handmade, with a turned rim. There is a dark red slip on the exterior and inside the rim, and it is burnished vertically. The jar is of an unusual shape with two lobes dependent on a single neck.

Badarian Culture, Predynastic Period, ca. 5500-4000 BC. From An Nazlah al Mustajiddah, Asyut. Now in the Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm.
