He remembers the shirt I sent to him, and he still wears it. He also joked that he was going to steal the design and sell it in the UK. 😅 I reminded him that his merch guy was supposed to contact me (email) if they decide to turn it into merch. Then he said he wasn't going to steal it (of course) but that he really does like and wear it. Then I got some pics with him.

(Oh, but I also met Matthew Setzer who was playing with Front Line Assembly this year. He used to be in Skinny Puppy. Last year, Tim Sköld was filling this role; he's well known for being in KMFDM.)

Coming to the sad realization that I shouldn't do the updated Sebastian for work. Too many parts that would have to be removed to do my work, and not enough people would understand the reference, much like last time I portrayed the character, so I wouldn't do well in the contest. They tend to vote for costumes they understand, not ones that took a lot of time/effort/money/etc.

I came up with a costume idea that would be more easily understood, easier to work in, less offensive (some people here are easily offended), and easier to put together in the time I have left before the contest. And it would include a tie-in to myself and our workplace....

This idea is to dress up like some version of "Weird Barbie" and carry around a shrunken version of myself (Arran, the radiochemist) in Barbie form. I'd carry "myself" around in a doll case with clear plastic, and I'd have "me" with speech bubbles saying stuff like "Weird Barbie did this to me! Let me out! She wants to be the next Oppenheimer!" Or other stuff like that.

I'll save the Sebastian redo for a party or a later Halloween.
