"You okay?" Rafe asks, peeking his head into my room with a sigh, wrapping a towel around his waist. He sneaks into my room, goosebumps erupting on his skin as my fan blows above us, Rafe's keen eyes tuning in on my computer that I have open with at least a million tabs.

"I'm just really anxious." I sigh, slamming my computer shut with a loud sigh, fisting my hair before burying my face in my hands, already tired of this day, just ready to be curled up under my covers, asleep.

"I can tell." He laughs while slipping into a comfortable outfit, sighing loudly before flopping down onto the bed besides me. "Need anything? A drink? A smoke?" He asks with a wink and I roll my eyes at him, nearest foot giving him a playful kick. "No?"

"Could you just rub my back and tell me everything's going to be alright?" I pout, massaging my neck and he grins sarcastically with a playful roll of his eyes.

"That's really fucking cheesy but sure." He hops up from his seat, moving so he can slip behind me, back resting against the headboard as his hands reach out to slip beneath my shirt, lifting it high enough so he can rub my shoulders and back. "What's going on?"

"Just work and life. Can't seem to stay focused for very long and I feel like I have a ton to do but can't even put my finger on everything I have to do."

"So you're overwhelmed." He points out with a gentle kiss on the back of my neck, thumbs working into the taunt muscles and I feel a relieved sigh escape me at the feeling, my muscles unknotting beneath his tongue. "Alight, just take a step back, breathe for a second." He whispers, resting his chin against my shoulder and I give him a submissive nod. "You have nothing to do for the rest of the night."

"But-" I start but his hand wraps around my jaw, tilting it so he can gaze into my eyes, telling me kindly and silently to shut up.

"No buts. You're gonna let me take care of you in every way and take a breather. A much needed breather."

"If you say so." I sigh, leaning into him as his arms wrap around my waist, pulling me flush against him and I crane my neck to look up at him through my lashes, eyes scattering across his soft expression. His thumb brushes against my lower lip and he swoops down to give me a sweet kiss on the lips.

"I do and what I say goes. You should know this by now." He mutters against my lips and I giggle, pinching his thigh with a sigh, already feeling most of my anxiety and tension soothed away by his hands and words.

"Thank you. I love you."

"I love you too."

My tumblr toxic trait is that I am easily overwhelmed so I don't look at my dashboard and I'm shy so I don't post but I often visit cool people's blogs and if I see a post I like I'll open it in a new tab with the intent to reblog it but then I just end up with a million tabs and then I open a new window and

I did it! I finished the Four Swords Manga! It's really late in the day for me, but I didn't finish it until now because I ran out of the sticky tabs I was using to write down any notes about Vio and I couldn't get more until a few hours ago, actually lmao. So here are my final updates! I'll probably do another post tomorrow talking about some of the notes I wrote, but I'd just like to thank you all for joining me on this journey! I've had lots of fun!

We get to see more of Vio's sick archery skills and, honestly, I'm here for it! Love this pose!

No, because this is actually really important. Especially Shadow hearing these words from Zelda, who outright slapped him in the face early in the manga. The open look of realization and vulnerability is so powerful,,,

I'm sorry, I know this is a really big moment in the manga, especially because it preludes to Shadow's death, but, like, this lowkey jump-scared me. Like, I had to do a double-take. They were eluding to something being up with Vio, but I was not expecting them to just come out and say that Shadow was pretending to be Vio. It gives much-needed context to the reader, but damn did that take me off-guard lmao

Vio looks so stern here! He's realized that Shadow's up to something, but he's scared of what it is because whatever way the implications lead, it's not looking good either way. Not to mention, Shadow ran off before anyone could confront him about it but AFTER helping them, so like, Vio's mind is probably going a million miles an hour.

AWWWWWWW!!!! Vio being the one to tell him this is really sweet, despite the fact that they haven't talked to one another after Vio's betrayal,,, His whole death scene is really bittersweet, actually, but I like the ending they gave him! Especially because... well, you'll see!

Had to include some Red before I finish off the post because I love him dearly! ❤️ Genuinely was not going into this expecting Red to be my favorite of the Main Four, but he is and I cherish him quite a lot. He may be kind of tied with Blue for "comic relief character" but they both have really serious moments, too, and, overall, I don't have a lot of complaints with Red's characterization tbh, and I liked the way they made Blue mature by the end without ruining his character either!

Hmmmmmmmmm... HMMMMMMMMMMMM... (This. This is what I mean when I liked the ending he got. I know people like to bring him back in fanworks and such, and that's okay too! I like both equally, but I also don't have complaints about his ending!)

I think I'll leave it here for tonight! Overall, I'm so glad I gave this book a chance! It was such a blast reading it for the first time!

One (1) moment of neurodivergence? My guy. I splatter my neurodivergence and autism all over my fics and characterizations XD I purposefully write Dew with ADHD, I purposefully write Rain with a level of autism that's similar to mine, and I did code Sunshine as being somewhere on the neurodivergent spectrum, probably co-morbid. As I develop her characterization, I'll refine that aspect of her of course, like with the others. I am curious what's the one moment of ND that was super obvious to you? Cause I did drop a good hanfdul, so I wanna know which one you picked up on / which one was the most obvious ;) If you'd please humor me?

Your day had been utter shit. You had started that day with a positive outlook. A new person was starting at the shop you worked at, and they had seemed promising on their resume.

How wrong had you been.

The new person at work ended up being an absolute hindrance to any productive work. They lied about knowing the POS system and they didn’t put in effort to learn as you tried to teach them.

Along with the new employee (who had been assigned to shadow you), you were met with a slurry of rude and antagonistic folks. With the holiday season coming up, people decided to take their frustrations out on those in the service industry.

That happened to be you.

Instead of eating on your lunch break, you had spent the thirty minutes sobbing in your car. You debated internally (and out loud) if you really and truly needed this job. (You do.)

By the time the shop was closing and you said goodbye to your co-workers, any semblance of joy or peace in your body was gone. It had been stolen by the horrors of customer service. As you turned the key in the ignition of your car, you could only think of one thing that could make things better.

“People are made of absolute shite love. Come on, I’ve got some gingerbread people we can dip into tea. Pretend those fuckers are the idiots from today.” His voice rumbled low in his chest and he smiled when you gave a wet laugh, followed by a sniffle.

John kept tabs one you throughout the day. It came with the territory of being a Captain of an elite group of soldiers. You and John have impeccable communication skills and you had warned him of your negative mood before you came home.

John is a planner, first and foremost. He had cleared some space in the main room of your shared apartment and lit some of your favorite candles. The simmer pot on the stove filled the air with your favorite seasonal scents and soft music played in the background.

John couldn’t help but stand at parade rest as he heard your keys jostling the lock to the front door. As you entered and mechanically set your stuff down, John rocked on his toes a bit. You turned and he watched as you eyes lit up a smile broke your tear-streaked face.

“May I dance with you, my dear?”

Your smile could have lit a million candles with how bright it was.

Johnny is no stranger to bad days at work. Almost getting blown up on a daily basis will do that to a person. So when you had called him in tears, telling him about how horrid your day was, he knew he had to do something.

He spent the hours before you came home cleaning up the apartment and getting some of your favorite snacks ready. He had also run a steaming hot bath filled with your favorite bath accessories.

When he heard your car beeping in the driveway, he skidded to the front door and pulled it open, gathering you in his arms and shoving his face into your shoulder.

“Oh bonnie…I’m so sorry you had a shite day. Let me get that heavy coat off of ya’.” The words spilled out of his mouth before you had time to argue. Johnny was rushing you to the bedroom, pulling off layers of clothing as he went.

“Fixed you a bath and a nice glass of that drink you like. You deserve it. After you’ve washed up and had a sit-down, we can watch that movie you’ve been wanting to see.” He ushered you to the bath and smiled as you looked up at him, mouth opening to say something.

“Dinnae worry your sweet head about it bonnie. I’m the best. I know!” He then closed the door and smiled widely as he gathered the blankets for a kick-ass blanket fort.

Kyle is almost frightening in the way he knows you. He knows you too well. As soon as you stepped out of your vehicle, he was there grabbing your items and helping you into the apartment with his arm outstretched.

Once you had gotten inside, he pressed a kiss on your cheek and got started on setting up your ‘relaxation station’. Blankets upon blankets had been piled on the couch and a hot water bottle had been prepared for you.

He led you to the couch and got you settled in your cocoon of blankets, he settled behind you and began to massage your shoulders. He had found a bottle of your favorite lotion and slathered his large hands up, making sure the lotion was warm before he started massaging your skin.

“Welcome home love.” His lips pressed behind your ear as the intro music to your favorite show played from the TV. He couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as you groaned and leaned into his embrace.

He's so sweet but discreet about it. Silver is already an individual that has a lot of things going on in his life such as being a good and dutiful student, guarding his prince and tending to his fathers whims and desires. He thinks nothing of his drifting thoughts at first, thinking that he's simply tired, you know the usual. The days seem to drag on though and the nights become unbearable because even in the land of dreams he can't seem to stop his imagination from running wild. All of his dreams center around one person you, the apple of his eye and absolute thorn in his side. There's you, surrounded by loving friends, delicious food and beautiful flowers. You're all smiling and laughing as he just stands aside, simply staring at the scene unfold in front of you. His chest feels soft, millions of butterflies are fluttering in his stomach but he just doesn't have the heart to ruin your tranquil moment like that. Emerald green eyes shine with warmth and delight at seeing you so happy, not even the animals could resist you. He feels like reaching out towards you, to finally be close enough to hear your laughter up close, to see your pretty smile face to face. He's in bliss, but his daydream turns into a nightmare lighting fast once he feels strong, sharp thorns engulfing his entire body. The pierce his skin and tear into the pale flash, thick ropes of blood falling on the ground as his pain skyrockets once he can no longer see you. He wants to call out, he wants to scream, he wants to shout out your name but he can't, his voice seemingly gone for good. The ground itself seems to crack open, the darkness of the underworld forcing him to part with his dreams.

His dreams always end up like this, and he always wake up in a cold sweat. He pants, deep and ragged breaths fill the otherwise quiet room, besides the sounds of the endless sea of ticking clocks that surround him.

Lilia of course notices his distressed state, how could he not? He subtly tries to inquire about the situation he suspects is going on but tries not to push him too hard - the poor boy is already lovesick beyond belief, there is no point in rubbing more salt into his wounded and bleeding heart. He somewhat tries to enable his behavior by helping him out in little and maybe not so subtle ways.

"Did you know that (y/n) is actually going to sit with Azul today?" "I just came back from a walk, I saw (y/n) on my way here, say hi to them for me!"

It's comments like that fuel Silver's desire because he finally knows where you are, he can keep up. Paranoia eats him from the inside out, telling him that he's going to mess something up but he won't, his father has taught him better.

He will not fail.

He might seem like he is disinterested in the topic you are talking about, but the sheer intensity of his stare makes you believe otherwise. Call him out and he will apologize but you can't miss the growing blush that stains his perfect cheeks. Tease him and his face will remain stoic, but his heart is doing backflips right now. Oh goodness you are touching him, he can practically smell you how close you're standing... He does do a good job at keeping his cool though, even if your undivided attention really does feel like heaven on earth to him.

Silver lays low for a while, but he keeps tabs on you, he protects you from the shadows. Once he is 100% positive that it's safe, he will confess his feelings to you, just like a man ought to.
