A day at Hogwarts

~as a Gryffindor~

get up around 6 o'clock in the morning

get ready in the bathroom and your beautiful, wrinkle-free uniform adorned with red and gold details and the Gryffindor crest

then you would go downstairs to the common room chatting with your friends

I don't think you'd have too many lessons unless you chose all subjects

in the common room you would meet all your other friends and you could go to breakfast together

you can eat pretty much anything for breakfast at Hogwarts, so you can eat whatever you want :)

after that you'd have to get your stuff for class

Let's just imagine that on that day they have Transfigurations, then Potions, then History of Magic, then Defence Against the Dark Arts and finally Divination

transformations would be a very exciting lesson as Professor Mc Gonagall would teach you how to turn a fish into a cup

in Potions you brewed a sleeping potion

and so on with each subject

after the actual lessons, you have mountains of homework to do and you decide to go to the library to do it

when you are finished, you make your way back upstairs

on the way you unfortunately bump into Professor Snape, who asks you what you're doing in this very corridor at this very hour

you explained what you were doing and luckily he let you go with a disapproving look

when you finally arrived in the common room, you could see George and Fred introducing one of their new joke ideas

they have invented a kind of ball which sparks but doesn't hurt when you touch it and which you can throw back and forth and which sometimes adds a little curve to the trajectory when you throw it

it was very funny to try it out

it tickles your skin

you play around with it until you have to go to dinner

you walk together with your friends through the corridors of the impressive school building to the great hall

you can also eat whatever you want for dinner because there is pretty much everything :)

you talk to your friends about all sorts of things while you eat

"Yeah, well, Potions is such a difficult subject…" your friend said. "Yeah, I agree… How did you like George and Fred's performance?" you asked, moving on to a more fun topic. George had turned round and looked at you briefly, only to turn round again three seconds later

"Well, I'd like something like that!" you said as you stood up to leave

If you play Quidditch you should go to training now and if not you have some free time

You could go to the library and read or study there

Go back to the common room to talk and laugh with your friends

Or go to bed earlier = cuddle up with your comfort character

After that, I think you should get ready for bed and go to sleep

And cuddle with your comfort character, George Weasley would be a great choice, you've never slept so well before

Tra le cose che non si ama ricordare di lei:

"Neville era nella disgrazia piu' totale. La professoressa Mc Gonagall era cosi' arrabbiata con lui che gli aveva interdetto qualunque futura gita ad Hogsmeade, lo aveva messo in punizione e aveva proibito a tutti di dirgli la parola d'ordine per entrare nella Torre. Il povero Neville era costretto ad aspettare tutte le sere fuori dalla sala comune che qualcuno lo facesse entrare (...)".

(Libro 3, capitolo 14, l'ira di Piton).

Neville Longbottom, ragazzino timido, leale ed impacciato, umiliato e bullizzato dai compagni, ignorato e disprezzato da Harry, tormentato da Piton, adesso e' anche preso di mira dalla professoressa Mc Gonagall. Perche' Harry Potter non si scaglia contro di lei per amor di giustizia, come fa col Professor Piton? perche' nei suoi rapporti col Professore, la giustizia non c'entra nulla. Fin dal suo primo ingresso a scuola, tutti gli parlano male dei Serpeverde, e Piton ne è il Capocasa. La mc Gonagall è capocasa dei Grifondoro, a cui Harry appartiene, pertanto è abituato a non mettere in discussione gli insegnanti della sua Casa, a cui si affida ciecamente.

Sarebbe stato interessante, per la prima volta in cui conosce Hogwarts, metterlo davanti a qualcuno che dei Serpeverde glie ne avesse detto un gran bene, per verificare quanto Harry fosse facilmente influenzabile e fino a che punto ragionasse con la propria testa. D'altronde, era cresciuto coi Dursley e ne acquisi' alcuni difetti suo malgrado.

Percio', Harry considera Piton e la Mc Gonagall solo dal proprio punto di vista e da quello dei suoi pari.

Inoltre, anche lui non ha molta stima di Neville e non lo ritiene un amico.

A Crush on an Auror

Sirius looked over at Remus again and frowned. He couldn’t for the life of him understand why he was so pissed off. So what if Remus seemed to have developed a bit of a crush on Professor Dearborn? Big fucking deal. Lots of his classmates had developed crushes on teachers in the past. He and James had fancied Mc Gonagall (James fancied her, he more admired her) for all of Second Year, just because she was so bloody marvellous and intellectually rigorous, and stern, and called you out all the times you messed up. Sassy, they liked that. And Peter had ogled Professor Mc Intyre, all fluted sleeved and blonde bombshell, for most of the first three years, unable to take notes during Muggle Studies, the rest of them snorting loudly at the way his voice squeaked an octave higher whenever he went to answer a question.

But this? This was just plain annoying.

I mean Remus didn’t go around fancying anyone. Never had admitted to it, anyhow. Which was weird, come to think of it. Maybe it was a werewolf thing-a-ma-jig? Anyway, the point was, it had suited Sirius just fine, thank you very much. He liked knowing where he stood where Remus was concerned. And yet, there Remus was, staring at Dearborn, wide eyed and annoying. And there was no reason why he should find this so upsetting. None at all.

But he did.

My favorite opening lines:

I must confess something.

When I read the HP books for the first time, I was 13. In the first book, during the introduction of the "professor McGonagall" I read instead "professor McDonald" cause, as a young French I assumed that McDonald was the only character in the whole world with a name with "Mc"

So.. I read the seven book, assuming Ronald McDonald was teaching a Howgarts ans was also a cat. Without asking any question.

you claim to be the most powerful wizard in the world. with the help of harry, hermione, and like the entire order plus probably other geniuses you absolutely could have figured out a way around teddy being orphaned as an infant and george losing his best friend and brother (and all the other weasleys losing him too of course)
