#my characters #waiting on some info on the next commission so i indulged in ocs today bc i doubt i will have as much time for lil comics for a bit #deacon is so devoted hes like yeah i would kill for a deity that could easily kill anything himself but yknow teehee #and fulj just did you tell him you needed therapy also does he even know youd murder in his name #deacon caught red handed haha no of course i havent told him it should be obvious enough haha.... and its in his defense not his name :c #man really does have some issues but i love him so much and hes so devoted but like. unhealthily after a while #he does in fact need a chill pill and therapy but to be fair #ymber has needed therapy for centuries and yet he just bottles it all up and suffers so #its pretty unhealthy until they yell at each other one (1) time bc they are so insecure about things and get mad over very valid reasons #but then theyre like you know what that was necessary and i still want to stay by your side if you let me #and then fulj is like dude hey sorry you seem really happy did you fu- and ymber is like no please stop there we have not #fulj just squinting cause have not is very different than will not but whatever she doesnt wanna think about that with deacon involved ew #and eventually fulj is like hey ymber im sorry to say but i really do hate deacon and i dont even know why but he makes me uncomfortable #while deacon is just. in the room. hearing this and thinking how he knows she thinks hes weird but wow that wording hurts #and ymber doesnt wanna fill in memories better forgotten by fulj which she had forcefully removed #so he just says oh well his hair and clothing are black and you had someone in the past that you might see in him and its not a pleasant en #so you know maybe its that idk #and fulj is then WHATST i was rude to him for someone i cant even remember? lame im gonna try SO HARD to be nice to him now #and deacon just still sitting there with some food like this is v awkward and i wish i could not be here for it #and later he asks ymber about who he resembled and as ymber is descibing her it clicks in deacons head and he gets really sad #that he might somehow remind fulj of the woman she loved before she was punished for loving a mortal #and he feels kinda bad pestering her so much with his curiosities about deities and he kinda gets it #the fact hes close to ymber might remind her at the core that she was once that close with a mortal if not closer #anyway story time in the tags again #im so obsessed with these peeps and i have made them suffer so much but they do all end on a happy note #its still funny and nice to me that while fulj is creeped out by deacon and doesnt like talking to him #he still expresses the most emotions to her - he tries hard to remain serious around ymber and collected and obedient at all times #and when out and about with ymber he has to be intimidating and refuses smiling but fulj?? all sunshine and smiles and emotions easy to rea #and she is just that is so weird go away i hate you

im considering making percy jackson the next class novel in my class but like, do i think the kids will actually enjoy it and that they're definitely the right age for it OR am i just wanting to do it because i want to read it???

#like they're a bunch of 9/10yos so im worried they're still a year or two off it being a better time to read it #maybe i need to reread it bc i haven't read it since i was 12 and decide then if they'd enjoy it?#or maybe i test the waters with deltora quest first bc that feels a lil younger and is also fantasy #but again i want to read deltora quest thus my consideration of it like will they even like it?#like obvs you gotta be a tiny bit selfish with class novels bc like. i do have to read it and be able to essentially perform it to the kids #but stilllllllll. they're a tough crowd my class and i wanna pick something good #i should investigate some other options perhaps #its just hard bc most of my class are fully in their diary of a wimpy kid bad guys weirdo era #and they're SO unwilling already to read outside of their preferred series so they're not very adventurous with the literary world #i guess i'll see if i can find some comedy options that are still chapter books.... that could be an in #damn this is the longest rant ever about something that matters so little. soz guys.#i am accepting class novel recommendations appropriate for grade 4s tho #for context we just did matilda to mixed reviews and they somewhat enjoyed paul jennings #my post tag

Hey, do you got doctors appointments you need to schedule but haven’t for whatever dumb reason (for me, laziness. probably. no no, complacency. That sounds better)? Well, go do it! Now! or soon! You need to just hurry up and schedule that shit! I’m sorry! Make the call! You gotta! You’re probably gonna have to wait multiple weeks for the appointment anyway, so if you wait until the problem is really bad, then you’re just condemning yourself to waiting extra long to get checked out. Jeez!

#this is mostly directed at me #still having breathing issues #it maaaaay be related to sinus issues. I don’t think that’s entirely it but it’s worth a shot #My sinuses have been messed up for so so long and it’s killing me and I just now set up an ENT appointment #so now. good job at making the appointment. but now you gotta wait 2.5 weeks just for the initial check-in #I just want someone to stick a lil camera up my nose and see why my lil holes always feel so swollen 🥺#my poor lil holes 🥺#but I’ll probably have the initial meeting and then if I can convince them to scope me out that’ll take a bit to schedule. probably.#been having breathing issues lately which you may have noticed if you skimmed any of my recent flood of text posts #went looking back through old head scan reports and and saw some mentions of nasal polyps and blockage #that of course no one ever mentioned at the time #and I’ve always suspected that my sinuses might be deviated or have growths or whatever bc breathing was never my strong suit #but maybe it’s nothing 🤷🏻‍♂️#but maybe it’s something. that’s the thing. at one point i started making a tiny functional yellow guy finger puppet. i greatly underestimated how difficult this project would be, especially considering i committed to sewing most of it by hand despite having almost 0 sewing experience and not even having correctly colored fabric (i had to paint him with acrylic). unfortunately, i lost interest before finishing and he sat there unfinished for awhile.

at some point i just kinda half-hazardly slapped on the half finished hair just so i could consider him finished even if i'm not at all satisfied with the end product. just now i put a squishmallow hat on him which i think does a decent job of covering up how messy the hair looks. anyway here's some pics (angled to cover up the messy bits as best as possible) just so i can call this project done and not feel like all that effort went to waste lol

#overall i'm not COMPLETELY dissatisfied with how he came out #he's a lil scrunkly guy #a bit creepy but i guess that fits the vibe of the show #before i lost motivation i did have a lot of fun making him #and i definitely learned a lot from it too #it was fun getting to try out a new medium and practicing so many new things #turns out i did really enjoy sewing and i do plan to practice that more #just maybe next time i should start with something simpler than an entire functional puppet on such a tiny scale #this guy is like 5 inches tall standing up #oh yeah btw i didn't even use a pattern or anything #completely made up everything on the spot and figured it out as i went #anyway i should probably stop writing a whole essay in the tags oopsie #dhmis #don't hug me i'm scared #yellow guy dhmis #dhmis fanart #don't hug me i'm scared fanart #aacart

tagged by @mooshkat, thank you so much friend!! <3 I've had the first draft of this (which is for @the-likesofus) open for at least a week now, and I just can't bring myself to edit it (mostly because my life has been a ~shit show~ recently) anywaaaaay here's some of what will be a very late 6.14 coda :))

He lets her keep it, takes comfort in the familiar pressure of her hand in his, and tries not to worry that this might be the last time he’ll be able to. For a moment, he feels guilty about worrying—this is Tia Pepa, his favorite aunt, the one person who has always been on his side—but then he remembers what his parents—his father—had said when he’d tried having this conversation with them at nineteen. He knows Pepa and trusts her so much, but he’d trusted his parents too.
