Oh… you grasp at your own hair and pull it in front of your eyes.

It is shining like crazy. No wonder she spotted you!

“Yep. Been following you this entire time. Now grab whatever snack you wanted and let’s get you back to bed.” She grins at you. “Just, don’t tell Havard.”

You eye Lexia, a bit indignantly. She could have told you... but in the end she did say you could have a snack. So, you nod happily and grab the cookie jar, holding it against your chest.”

“Not the entire jar kid.” Lexia chuckles.

The Sea Prince; Mermay 2024 (+ updates!)

shhhh what do you mean may is almost over-? i made a fun piece and everything!! well. pieces. the first one is a piece i just finished today, and the second is a piece of pearl in her prince form ;> happy mermay!

anyway! its been a good while since ive made an update post, and i want to keep y'all up to date with how things are going!

important thing to announce; act one has been completed!

me and @mewhoismyself have worked very hard to write and edit the work respectively, and its over 100k+ words! hope y'all enjoy what we have planned, im very proud of act one (in particular those final few chapters, i love rereading them) <33

as for act two, im taking a break to do other things (college mainly, but also commission work and personal hobbies) but im probably getting back to writing soon! currently, act two is on chapter three, as ive decided to rewrite chapters 2-7 in the original doc, so theres a LOT of cut content. all for a good story! i dont really mind it :0c

finally, im opening up betas again!

theres been a LOT of inactivity from most of them and i have a bit of a schedule to keep, so im hoping that a new wave of betas could help with providing feedback and whatnot. i need clear communication! betas help greatly in letting me know how they feel with the current flow, their thoughts, and anything i need to address before publishing the chapter. id hope to get some new folk on board before my friend and i start developing act two more! <3

“Help me!” you cry, hiding under a blanket form as you shake in your fairytale getup, “Oh please! Won’t somebody save me from this fearsome dragon?!”

“Rawr!” Lilia yells, arms outstretched and fingers curled threateningly, “I’m the big evil dragon that looooves eating little knights!”

You hear Silver giggle from behind the couch, but neither you nor Lilia acknowledge it. He puts on quite the show of trying to find the small human, even going so far as to lift a vase and scratch his head in mock confusion.

You watch as Silver clambers over the back of the couch, wooden sword in hand. He brandishes it with a grin and nods at you as if to say, “don’t worry. I’m here to save you.”

You smile back.

Lilia hums loudly as he continues to search for Silver, proclaiming all the ways in which he could gobble him up. You almost choke on your spit when Lilia makes a comment about eating Silver’s nose, but manage to keep quiet.

Silver stands on the back of the couch, feet wobbling as he tries to stay steady. With a loud yell, he jumps off the back of the couch and traps Lilia in a headlock.

“Oh! Ooooh!” Lilia screeches dramatically and Silver whacks him with the sword, “Woe is me! I’ve been defeated!”

“I did it! I beat the dragon!” Silver cheers, jumping off his father and rushing towards you, “I saved you!”

i started this blog at 13!!!

i was a HEAVY dsmp fan and it was my biggest hyperfixation at the time

i was very mentally ill and was getting zero help whatsoever :,(

i also had literally no friends to talk about dsmp with because they had all lost interest D:

im 16 in like three weeks! crazy!!!

im also an intense dream anti. not in the sense that i hate all dream smp enjoyers, because a lot of good came from it! but i do not like that man

honestly i didnt when i started this blog, but i was discreet about it (i think i was - i refuse to go through my old posts)

the people i wrote about have grown and changed a LOT since i started this account in autumn of 2022, and just as i have, they have moved on from the dream smp. i personally don't want to keep writing about what is essentially a time capsule of who they were. no hate to people who still write for them, obv, it's just not for me :)

since i still have an interest in mcyt, i may consider writing some life series bits and bobs here and there, but that would depend on what you lot at home want!

i would have to look into specific boundaries because, whilst a lot of ccs on the ogmcyt/hermitcraft/life series side just. dont care about fan content, a lot of boundaries are very up in the air.

also martyn littlewood is a fucking heathen and is watching like big brother iykwim

obviously, any followers from here are free to move over to my current blog, but i cant promise that any updates about a potential life series blog will be posted there! if it does happen, itll most likely be posted about on here :)

CONCLUSION

when i logged back into this account i didnt even remember this blog, and to come back to such lovely support has genuinely made my day.

if 13 year old me saw this, she'd be so happy, and that means more to me than any kind of embarrassment or cringe i might feel.

i am proud of all that i did here, but given that my last writing was like. early 2023? late 2022? i dont know. anyway it's probably time to leave it behind lol

i wont be deleting any of my work, because as much as i do not support wilbur (SHELBYSUPPORTSQUAD WOOOO), this is literally an archive of the bare minimum of my old work, which i think is cute lmao. i like looking back and seeing that my writing style hasnt changed whatsoever lol

Similarities between Deuce Spade and Ryuji Sakamoto

OKAY SO 

Hi , hello Im prefacing this with: There may be mistakes on my part, It's been a year or so since ive touched early game Persona 5 and i haven't seen every single event within TWST I did my best to double check everything i say or make reference too

ALSO There may be slight spoilers for both but i try my best to not give away anything super big and it may only be vague, but i want that to be clear regardless 

I also won't exactly call this an analysis, simply me stating how they are similar and that's it :D!! 

Imma start off with the easiest one: Troublemakers, even if they don't mean to be. Somehow the universe just throws trouble at them all the fuckin time and honestly most of the time its not even their fault. The major difference here is that Ryuji says that he’s proud of that status. 

Both have issues with temper as well, and have the problem of falling back on terrible habits or violence when upset. Both can become easily provoked and threaten those who do so.

Despite their tempers, both are absolute sweethearts and do have a pretty decent sense of morality and compassion. They care for those around them quite a lot, being protective of those they call friends. They’ll defend them even if it isn't entirely necessary. Some examples i can remember off the top of my head is Ryuji being defending Morgana when hes being made fun of. Like in Book 4 when Deuce (alongside Ace) comes to help Yuu even if he was a bit late, or standing up to Vil in Book 5 when they spoke with Epel in the courtyard (as reckless as it was). They are also quite willing to pick a fight with those that try to start one with their friends.

Absolute Mama Boys. The most obvious similarity is that they care for their mothers so much. They both try so hard at bettering themselves and achieving something great to make their mothers proud or make it easier for them. Hells, even their mothers are similar in considering themselves not good mothers because of the actions their sons took, which results in the sons trying harder to be better (to varying success admittedly-). Some small things that i couldn't write a whole thing about: Both are/were part of a track team! And both dyed their hair blonde, only difference is that for Deuce that was when he was a delinquent where with ryuji he still does

I'm sure there's way more i could find but currently this is what i have and i hope it explains it enough T uT i adore them so much my silly loveable sons

applejack headcanons in a sort of timeline i have in my head based on the flashbacks/statements in the show lol this is gonna get long i apologise

aj is born in the sweet apple acres barn to bright mac and pear butter :D

we get the apple family reunion episode flashback where she is lichrally baby asking for apple fritters 🥺

she grows up a bit, just by family gene pool luck shes a strong little fucker and as she grows her family realises she's not just physically strong but strong willed too, it becomes a running joke that shes secretly part mule with how stubborn she can be :P

bright mac had a dog from when he was younger that he loved with all his heart, big mac loved him too but applejack thought was a grumpy old lump of a beast she just Did Not Like This Animal you know how kids can be lmaooo

applejack and big mac dont really leave the farm all that much, theyre homeschooled by their parents and granny smith so, generally they dont have that many friends their age in their childhood, they say hi and play a bit with fillies and colts they pass while helping out with deliveries, aj and rarity possibly have a few interactions through this but nothing really sticks at this point, they know each others names and thats probably it, the apple siblings are a big hit with usual customer and ponies who sell them things in the market

pear butter teaches aj how to play the guitar and she practices until her hooves hurt, her ma is very proud of her, they like to play duets when they have some alone time :] then, deciding to branch out from that applejack also picks up other instruments like the banjo and the fiddle, they find out she has quite a knack for music! (applejack is only slightly disappointed she doesnt get her cutie mark from it, but unlike applebloom would be in the future, she doesnt mind all that much, after all granny smith always said it'd come with time 😌)

not long after little applebloom is born we get the great seedling episode flashback which is a turning point in applejack, a moment like finding out santa or the tooth fairy isnt real, she matures a little bit that day, gains more of the work ethic we see in her as an adult

around this time is when bright mac and pear butter die :( i dont have a concrete headcanon on How they die but the dangerous trade routes the apples have to take to make deliveries may have had something to do with it, or maybe they were trying to protect the farm from something coming from the everfree forest, im not sure

the rest of the apple family make their way to sweet apple acres to give their condolences and help out in any way they can around the farm while our apples grieve :( its sad but it brings aj and big mac closer than they'd ever been

after shes recovered a little from that, i think aj kind of loses herself, i mean how can you not after losing both parents :(( so she decides to leave the farm in the hopes she'll be able to find herself again in manehattan, this is the cutie mark chronicles flashback and where she realises she belongs in ponyville, Runs home and gets her cutiemark

after a little bit, to help her become a little bit more social with foals her age, applejack goes to camp friendship where she meets little coloratura and the two Immediately click, aj gives her new best friend the nickname rara and they're practically inseparable the whole summer, their friendship starts to grow into something more but rara is heading back to manehatten after camp and applejack belongs back in ponyville, so they decide to give a lonb distance relationship a try, they manage to exchange letters back and forth for a long time, ultimately deciding a long distance relationship wasnt gonna work so they mutually decide to break up but still stay pen pals! after a while, the letters stop and they become just a memory in one anothers minds

sweet apple acres eventually returns to a business as usual state, with groups of relatives stopping by the farm now and again to give a helping hoof considering its now run by a late-middle aged lady, two children and a baby lol, applejack, while still doing a lot of tree bucking, is starting to take on a more maternal figure role in applebloom's life as well as being her sister, her and big mac feels more responsible and protective of the foal since she would be growing up with no ma and pa, they sort of took on those roles, applejack more intensely i guess i just see her as having strong maternal instincts embedded in her or something lol, but she for sure isnt "single mom"ing it, with granny smith and other relatives ready to take the little bugger when aj needs to get stuff done :P it takes a village and all that lmao

since at this time aj and big mac are starting to go into town more often and are free to do as they please as long as their chores get done, they start actually interacting more with teens their age in ponyville! applejack starts hanging out with fillies like rarity who she had known in passing but now could finally get to know and the cake's new apprentice and ponyvilles youngest party planner, pinkie pie

after starting to hit some awkward growth spurts as she reaches her teens lol, she starts taking an interest in the business side of the farmwork too, dealings with customers, looking into trade routes stuff like that, this is when the where the apple lies flashback takes place i fuckin love that episode please watch it, and this starts applejack's lifelong promise to never lie ever again which she keeps bc shes a legend as fuck <3

one day aj notices cloudsdale passing through probably to start preparing ponyville for the next season, and she hears a Thud coming from a row or two over from where she's working, she goes over to investigate to find a pegasus filly shaking off what aj can only assume was a crash, she asks if shes alright, n the filly is like of course i am im so tough toughest around actually thanks<3 and aj is internally like hm. this kids kinda annoying. they introduce themselves and applejack finds out rainbow dash is looking for her friend fluttershy, she likes to come down from cloudsdale to play with animals or something, but applejack hasnt seen any yellow pegasi fillies around so the little blue filly says thanks anyway and zips off at what aj can only describe as probably the speed of light, she somehow has a strange feeling this isnt gonna be the last she sees of this kid

she turns out to be right when shes invited to a happy visit to ponyville from cloudsdale party thrown for rainbow and fluttershy, apparently rainbow had bumped into pinkie while asking around ponyville for any idea where fluttershy and of course pinkie Had to make an event out of it once she had helped rainbow find her friend, the party was of course a lot of fun rainbow and aj somehow managed to turn every party game into a competition and despite their first impressions of one another they actually got along really well and gained a good amount of respect for each other, aj eventually found fluttershy sort of hiding away from most of the party and fluttershy actually opened up a little after talking with aj bc of how calming her presence was for her

over the next few years the five got to know each other quite well, anytime cloudsdale passed by rainbow and fluttershy would drop into ponyville to hang out or just say hi, and once they were old enough they moved into their ponyville houses and the five of them became just a regular friend group youd see hanging out on the streets of ponyville, fluttershy helps aj pick out a border collie puppy for help with wrangling critters on the farm (applebloom was getting too old to be sent off to mindlessly run after little animals all the time and she had started going to school so she wasnt around as much lmaoo) and just as a companion for applejack, she names her Winona :]

and then after those few years Twilight shows up! you know the rest from there :P

you, on the other hand, is as cool as a cucumber. well, that what it looks like anyway. 

you get jealous quite a lot, to be honest, but your pride won’t live if you show it so you just try to shrug it off every time

but when kou gets a little too much attention it pisses you the fuck off 

you get snappy and your mood is down for the day but kou is always on his way to make it better~ 

the baby owl may be oblivious but when the topic is about you, he pays attention to your every movement and to what makes you tick

so when someone!! a person you hate because of their flirty attitude and rude remarks gets a little too close to your baby--

oh, it's about to go down!

you’re in the cafeteria sitting on one of the free tables, waiting for your hyperactive baby owl, when you see a certain someone clinging to Bokuto and pressing their chest against his arm

aND WHAT PISSES YOU OFF MORE IS THE OBLIVIOUS SMILE ON BOKUTO’S FACE

you turned around and looked at the juice box you bought for bokuto and grabbed it roughly, stabbing the straw to drink it yourself

you knew how popular bokuto was and how ‘plain’ you were but it still hurt when people never respecting bo’s personal space and your relationship as you two were publicly open with your relationship

akaashi, who was lagging behind bokuto, saw this and quickly rescued the dense captain making a certain someone whines about it but akaashi paid no mind and dragged bo away and towards your table

“hey, babe!” 

you looked at him and rolled your eyes, scoffing a little with the straw still on your mouth as you proceed to ignore him

bokuto’s eyes widen at that and sat closer to you, leaning closer and putting his head on your shoulder, nuzzling at you. 

this usually makes you break but nope, your pride said nope and you ate lunch with bo pouting and whining to you. akaashi who watched the whole scene sighed.

the next time you saw bokuto was at dismissal with him racing to your classroom the moment the bell rang. he went inside when your teacher dismissed you and waited on the side for you even though you were ignoring him. but what slightly shocked you was the serious face he has on. 

when everyone else was gone and you were about to go to, bokuto grabbed your hand and made you stay

“what’s wrong? please talk to me...” He whispered, hugging you close to his body. 

you pouted at that, the gesture cracking your cold demeanor quickly. you sighed and hugged back the sweet boy.

“i’m sorry for ignoring you, kou...” 

you felt his smile on your skin making you smile too

“It’s okay but please explain...” 

his innocent words and eyes made you shy. maybe you overreacted a little bit but your ego is too big sometimes

you averted your eyes and looked at your shoes, bokuto’s arms still around you. 

“cus... you let (h/n) touch you and you were smiling too!” 

you whined a bit, looking up at him. his surprised expression then turned into relief and he started laughing

“who knew you were the jealous type too, (Y/n)!” 

you pouted and hid your face on his chest, 

“shut up... i’m human too, ya know... and you’re not one to talk, you’re the one who always gets jealous..”

“That’s cus my girlfriend is too pretty and too many guys have their eyes on you!”

you scoffed playfully at that, not having the energy to remind bokuto that those guys were just asking for some notes or something to you, knowing well that it would brew into bokuto pulling up his ‘facts’ and arguments on you again that those guys were unto something...

you run to the courtyard where you two usually hangs out with kageyama but was surprised to only see Kageyama and his milk box

jogging up to the tall male and you asked him about shoyou and you heard an answer you were not expecting to hear

“some fancy pink letter asked him to go to the rooftop, it said that they wanted to say something to that tangerine”

kageyama looked at you with a quirked brow, still sipping on the milk box, he poked you with a curious look

“why did you let him go, you idiot!” you said, surprising kageyama who pouted and glared at you

kageyama was about to retort when a familiar childish growling caught his attention as you both looked at the side and saw a glaring hinata racing towards you two at a fast rate

hinata slotted himself between you two and started bickering with the tol blueberry

you sighed at the scene in front of you and a light pink object caught your attention. there it was, a pink chocolate bar in hinata’s hand as he waved it around, trying to punch kageyama. 

you frowned at it and started walking away, leaving kageyama and hinata at the courtyard. hiding from hinata, you ate lunch in the bathroom stall as icky feelings start to grow.

after lunch, you quickly run to your classroom wanting to avoid seeing hinata at the moment 

but luck wasn’t at your side when Hinata dragged you off and got inside the janitor’s closet with you. 

“hinata, what are you doing! lunch is already finished, i’m gonna be late for class!” 

you tried to leave the small room but hinata closed the door when you tried to open it

It happened to be an especially cold and gloomy autumn morning which (Y/N) decided was worth spending outside. The Gryffindor ditched her robes for a warmer sweater and headed happily to the courtyard. She grabbed her book on the way out. A little bit of extra reading for potions class wouldn't do any harm, she figured.

As she cheerfully skipped down the steps, she noticed that she wasn't the only one who had this brilliant idea. One other student decided it was acceptable to read under the risk of rain and freeze for the sake of silence and fresh air. The Slytherin was too absorbed in his book to be bothered to look up. (Y/N) knew better than to think Tom Riddle didn't know she was there. He seemed to be very aware of her presence lately. In class and at the Great Hall, in hallways and even during their free time. It started subtly, the (H/C) girl had felt someone's eyes on her and she couldn't figure out who it was. Eventually she caught Tom's eyes though, and from then on, he wasn't as subtle anymore.

"Maybe he likes you," her friends suggested, dreaming of the gorgeous boy who didn't seem to be interested in any of them. But behind his cold eyes, (Y/N) wasn't sure if he was capable of such feelings.

Finally reaching the fountain, (Y/N) offered a warm 'good morning' to the boy. Tom barely acknowledged her as she took a seat on the other side of the fountain. Seeing Tom returning to his book, (Y/N) followed suit.

Not long after, though, the Gryffindor grew extremely bored. After shifting and turning and switching positions, she decided enough studying was done for the day. She walked over to Riddle, and sat next to him, much to the boy's displeasure.

"What are you reading?" She asks, trying to look at a name on the cover, but with no luck since Tom had it resting comfortably in his lap.

"A book, (Y/L/N)," he offered sternly, hoping it would give (Y/N) the hint to leave him alone. And it worked for a few minutes, but the girl wouldn't stop there.

"Well... what book then?"

This time Tom took his eyes off his book.

"A Guide to Medieval Sorcery." He tried to read the next sentence-

"That sounds boring. Isn't it?"

"For me it's not." Tom grew impatient. It wasn't like he was stuck on the same paragraph since the (Y/H/C) arrived. Maybe just on the same page.

A few more minutes passed in silence, but the Gryffindor didn't enjoy that one bit.

"Lovely day, isn't it? For reading I mean. That's if you don't mind the rain."

"You would've thought students would rather stay inside."

(Y/N) knew she was annoying Tom. She was doing it on purpose, after all.

"I don't know how you're not bored with that book yet," (Y/N) complained, getting even closer to the boy just to scan the pages. Tom shut the book with an agressive snap, startling the poor girl who almost fell into the fountain behind them.

"You interrupt my reading once more and this book will become a lethal weapon," Tom snarled, while grabbing (Y/N) by arm, intercepting her fall. He swiftly composed himself, but didn't let go of the girl.

(Y/N) tried to contain a little bubble of laughter, which didn't pass unobserved.

"And what's so amusing, (Y/L/N)?"

"Just you," she said matter-of-factly, offering him a smile. As conceited and cold a guy as he was, she couldn't deny he was really attractive.

Tom stared at her for a few seconds, before he deigned to speak.

"If it was anyone other than you, (Y/L/N), I would've sent them off a long time ago."

"Why not me then?"

"I seem to tolerate your presence. Don't take it as a compliment, you are still incredibly annoying."

"I think you quite enjoy my presence actually," (Y/N) laughed. Tom chose to stay silent, averting his gaze to the fountain.

"You know, this weather fits you well," (Y/N) smirked, "dark and gloomy seems to be making you even more charming."

"Oh, so you think I'm charming?"

"It's not like you didn't know that, everyone knows it."

Somehow during their interaction Tom's hand came to rest lower on (Y/N)'s arm and he seemed to have gotten closer to her. The corners of his mouth unconsciously formed an almost smile. Quickly catching himself, he tried his best to keep a straight face. She thinks im charming...

"I can say the same thing about you. Of course, you could do with a few changes, especially that red tie around your neck."

"Im very proud of my red tie," (Y/N) scoffed. "And you could do with a little less arrogance." The girl tore her eyes off of Tom, in an attempt to look displeased.

"Could I?" Tom asked in a low voice, his free hand gently cupping (Y/N)'s chin, turning her face towards his once again. He seemed to have moved incredibly close to (Y/N).

"A bit..." The girl whispered, her cheeks were red, from the cold. Or was it his proximity? She couldn't tell which.

Tom's gaze wandered from (Y/N)'s eyes, to her lips and back.

"May I kiss you?" He asked, leaning forward until their faces were mere inches apart. His scent teased her senses, her heartbeat quickened.

(Y/N) could do nothing but nod, the power of speech having left her the closer he got to her. She felt Tom's soft lips on her own, a gentle caress. The sweet, innocent kiss lasted what seemed a long time, making her body tingle. She leaned into his hand that was now cupping her cheek, his lips on hers a wonderful sensation. It was over too soon and too suddenly. As he broke the kiss, (Y/N) could only stare into his dark eyes, mesmerised by the boy in front of her. She wanted to kiss him again, not that she'd ever initiate it. She wanted him to kiss her again.

"It's raining, we should head inside." Tom broke the silence, getting up and gathering both of their books. He helped (Y/N) up and, as they were heading back inside, she felt his hand coming to rest at the small of her back. She smiled to herself, 'I love rainy days.'

i also feel like agedre n half regressing has helped talk to myself more positively. its very difficult to talk to myself like a friend so when i talk to myself like an encouraging sweet parent, it works. im more softer and i embrace my sensitivity, and i think this in all will help me ! of course i still feel the shame of it not being the norm or still have my negative intrusive thoughts, and i know my intrusive thoughts arent something i can necessarily 'delete' or 'remove,' and are something to tame, though i think agedre is a big baby step towards a healthy coping mechanism, as even so back then my self-talk has never been very positive, and even when i was positive, id beat myself down constantly (and still struggle with this), and that positivity would lean towards toxic. im proud of myself. <3

We've been doing that for (2) seasons, I'd love if season 3 could be like, his parents adjusting to this and trying way harder to learn more and accept it (and the shenanigans that could come from that) and for fun, if he didn't wipe the students memories, it could be him being popular for a while, then everyone slowly realizing, oh, he's still Danny. Like. he might have ghost powers but hes Just The Same Guy instead of putting him on a pedestal (and seeing them all try and help him hide it from the giw/people who don't know!!)

There may be some misinterpretation/self doubt of something, as someone or people close to you may see you as someone cold and distant or you may feel that way. This may be from ones you love. I feel like the next few days are very focused on yourself more and trying to harmonized more with yourself and find clarity. You may be trying to balance yourself and your emotions i guess. There’s a sense of finding your independence once more and being proud of how far you’ve come. It’s not going to be easy so you will have to stay strong :D and continuing down your path. If he had to assign a name to this feeing, it would be warmth. He’s sure there’s a name for what he feels, something that perhaps describes it better, but he just feels warm, blissfully so.

The sun won’t set for another hour, but it’s late enough in the afternoon beams of light filter through the trees in a way that makes the clearing look like something from a fairytale. The area is speckled with pink and purple wildflowers that continue past the tree line, and they sit in the center of this break in the forest, a blanket spread out beneath them and Wilbur’s bag tossed off to the side. It’s been an amazing day already, a rare respite from his presidential duties, but it seems to only keep improving as time passes. As nice as it’s been this far, he thinks this is his favourite, sitting with his partner in his lap, their back against his chest and his arms around them to guide their hands. His music has always been important to him, despite not having as much time for it as he used to, so when they’d expressed an interest in learning he was all too eager to teach them. They sit now with his guitar across their knees, hesitant hands on the instrument, and he’s ever so gentle as he guides their fingers on the frets. He handles the strumming for the moment, letting them focus on keeping the right strings in the right places- A, D, G, A again- and when they gain a bit more confidence in it he passes them the pick, his hands still resting over theirs but letting them take the lead. They catch on quickly, and he rewards them with a kiss to the cheek when they manage to switch chords nearly on their own without his guidance, and warmth swells in his chest when they smile.

Prime, he lives for their smile. He encourages them to try again, helping less and less until his hands are hovering over the instrument without touching and they’re playing all on their own. It’s basic, only a few chords in an easy pattern, but it’s still music and he’s proud of them for it. Everyone starts somewhere, and he may be able to play more complex melodies with his eyes closed now but he began with the same few simple chords they’re practicing. Without the need to guide their hands he takes a moment to simply admire them, the way the golden afternoon light and the leaves above them cast soft shadows over their features, intently focused on the strings under their hands. They’re too cute, he can’t help but nuzzle into their neck, despite knowing it would break their concentration. It’s alright, they have all the time in the world, he thinks a break is well deserved. He presses a soft kiss to the base of their neck and moves his hands from the guitar to wrap around their middle, leaning further into them at the same time he pulls them closer against him. The guitar has gotten enough of their attention for the moment, he thinks, it’s his turn to be the subject of their focus. He still melts every time they say his name, and the fond exasperation in their tone doesn’t change that. He doesn’t apologize, he isn’t sorry and they both know it, only grinning against their throat and demanding they put the guitar down, it’s his turn to be held.

Hes overjoyed when they listen, setting the instrument aside to turn in his arms until they can catch his face between their hands, and he makes a soft, surprised little sound when they press their lips to his. Oh. He can feel the heat rising to his cheeks but he ignores it, focusing on the warmth of their body against his.

I love you, he whispers, letting the wind carry his declaration away.
