Once there was a man who wandered the land. He wore a big dirty coat made of pearls and seaweed strands. He was a man of the sea, without the Waves do you believe? He walked on and on, like a fish far from home. He carried his ship, from a rope he tied to it. It floated on the sky among the clouds up so high. He once was a wanderer from the night sky. He collected up the stars, to many tiny jars, for they carried out some dreams to be given to you and me. Now close your eyes my dear and let the wanderer keep you near.

Sorry im out of practice with my poems but wrote a little bit if you want.

@tales-of-wocdes's game is interesting, looking forward to getting to learn more about the world and seeing where the story goes. My MC doesn't have a name yet becasue they don't see why they need one right now, or why they need clothes when they have the cloak. the poor kid is gonna need so much therapy after all that torture they went through... Havard and Lexia has so much work ahead of them with this kid who can't handle being around blades, they won't talk, hate being touched, their first thought to deal with anything is to hurt themself, they think they need to get rid of their damaged hands, this kid needs eyes kept on them at all times.

hopefully the gif works, I haven't done any kind of animation in years, I tried to not to make it too big so hopefully tumblr will be happy with it.

actually overall really like munkustrap's appearance, physically. gray striped cat, you'd imagine he blends in well to shadows at night. fairly tall & long, the stripes and his face markings are sharp, and with the way he holds himself it does feel like he's earning that imposing third word. then the rest makes him seem much more approachable - he's fairly fluffy, his he's a housecat but his collar has a ring on it instead of spikes, and his head furs droop instead of sticking up which gives him a rounder face. stands out starkly when he wants to, entirely unremarkable in the background the rest of the time. can look threatening, can look safe. it's like he was born to be a guardian. love him.

hes kinda dumb and just trusts anyone havard trusts (please dont kill me for misspelling it in the post), little birdie....

anytime he sees stuff he doesnt understand his first instinct is to just get rid of it. tbh he'll probably start going insane if he gets introduced to the twins, they seem too crazy for him LOL

rereading the story and got to the part where MC is like "why do i have so many teeth?" and just realized there is definitely a kid out there who started crying because they had so many teeth

There is definitely someone out there :D As far as I understand, kids get upset at the strangest things. I once apparently fell on my bike for no apparent reason. When questioned, I apparently indignantly informed my mother that "Of course I fell, I could not see where I was going because I had my eyes closed." Why? I have no idea, but I am sure little me had a reason.

Though if I am guessing where you are at, I think it was more about the smile for MC rather than teeth.. I could be wrong where you are at though :D

I really love making the Divine Warriors relevant in my rewrite, even if none of them are present :3

Been thinking about how making the DW all foils of each other could be fun from a lore perspective, and maybe something that could even tie into worldbuilding and religion? idk lol was just having fun

I think for the DW, they would be more so ideological foils if that makes sense? Like rather than their characters, it's their domains and the things they represent that mirror each other:

Irena/Shad, life vs death, creation vs. destruction

Aenia/Menphia, the peacekeeper vs the warmonger, forgiveness vs fury

Esmund/Kebek, community vs independence, selflessness vs selfishness

Kulzak/Enki, wild impulse vs self control, nature vs nurture

Roska/Absol, structure vs fluidity, practicality vs artistry

Similarly, I thought it would be fun if the Jo9 were all foils of each other, since from both a lore and storytelling perspective the jurors are meant to be representative of the Divines. Unlike the DW however, the jury's foils are based more on the actual characters and roles in the story:

Zane/Aaron, unstoppable force vs immovable object, a killer vs the lone survivor

Katelyn/Della, the one who got away vs the one who couldn't, rebellion vs compliance

Jeffory/Edric, man who would die for his family vs man who would kill for his family

Janus/Ivan, chaos vs control, brute force vs careful manipulation

Ivy/Teony, constant change vs maintaining the status quo,
