Doodled Ford and Wilson for my partner and I guess this technically counts as fanart for @sunstained 's gravity falls/don't starve au (it's been a really long time since I read it so I'm definitely not up to date but I really enjoyed it and my partner loves it!)

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'll definitely make whatever I'm most passionate about in the end. Currently it's Pitchin' Season and I'm pitchin' a bunch of shows. Most/all of those shows won't be picked up and I'll be choosing my project from that pool. Since they're all still technically "active", I'm not going to share any specifics just yet.

YouTube still seems like the best place to drop an indie show, but I'll admit that the rapidly shifting rules are a bit of a turnoff.

To prep for the future, I've also been using and abusing more AI. I've found ChatGPT to be largely useless for writers in its current form. No one wants a lawsuit, so ChatGPT's masters have forbidden it from generating content around "conflict" or making false statements. That means you can't really have deaths or action or anything involving violence or bad feelings unless you're willing to get really creative with your wording. I'm certain the rails can be removed with enough money, but the platform just doesn't seem as good at creative writing as the monkey with a typewriter I already have at home.

It's also not very funny. I had it write a few Billy & Mandy outlines, and while it did a great job of discerning which character was likely to make dumb noises or roll their eyes, there wasn't a joke to be had.

My favorite interaction was when I asked the program to write up a pitch for a crime procedural called "Butt Swap". It generated twelve episode ideas that started with an origin story about buddy cops who have to exchange butts to go undercover. I'm not sure how that works, but it's a fun idea. Each episode was titled with a butt pun and each one actually made use of the fact that the main characters had swapped their butts. At the end of one episode, one of the cops had to sled down a rocky hill and wrecked his butt to save his friend. Which was actually his friend's butt, I guess.

Long story short, whatever I'm writing I'll be writing myself.

I haven't quite gotten around to any of my visual experiments yet. When I do, I'll definitely share some of them here!
