Day 10: “After my Turtledove!Aziraphale... Meet the Ineffable Birds!” – Good Omens
While we were talking about this dear Turtledove!Aziraphale, one of my followers @ineffablebirds, mentioned that they would have like to see Crowley as a black-billed magpie… the idea kept running a looong way through my head. So… here is a little gift, my friend! :-D
Meet Magpie!Crowley !
[Previous] [Next Day] [First Day] - Don't forget to 💕/ reblog ;-)
Personal challenge: a simple sketch each day
Goal: forcing me to keep things simple - inking, shading, just a few sashes of colour
Improvement pursued: to get the movement, the emotion, finding how to add depth, learning how to leave things barely finished
Max time allowed: 2 hours instead of 8-20 on my previous projects (2 hours for each of these sketches! I had a lot of free time this day :-p)
Today's theme chosen by me: So, of course Crowley is linked to the crow – and even more so since his little trick in the Job minisode, and the headcanon (?) about how he chose to change Crawly in “Crowley” in remembrance of this first adventure / collaboration with Aziraphale.
Buuut, Aziraphale is often associated with a dove (white hair, purity, Heaven and so on) and yet, yours truly decided that the turtledove was more appropriated (It happened right here!)
So why stop there ?
My reasons? Even if the crow is indeed very classy and matches well with Crowley, the Magpie does too. A specie said to be intelligent and altruistic, a signature chattering that is easily worth Crowley’s sniggering, and some touches of white in its plumage which furiously remind me of our demon’s not so dark alignment…
And then there is this old tale about how the magpies like to steal everything that shines. Between Crowley’s often showy getups and the fact that he did climbed the bloody Eden’s wall to capture the attention of the most luminous of all the angels, I don’t really know what more to say :-p
Upcoming Very soon, my human Turtledove!Aziraphale ! (Edit: he's here! link!)
(And a big, big THANK YOU to my dearest @malohkeh-main who always kindly translate my babblerings!)

1250 followers gift - take a peek at my medievalish fantasy game (part 5/?)
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4
After a break, we move on to the Magic household, or actually both of them. Elders and their children live separatedly.
On this lot live two elderly couples: Baltazar and Salamandra, and Gargamel and Hogata.
I use @midgethetree's edit of aging controller, so witches live longer than regular Sims.
I also use hereditary supernaturalism, so children inherit powers when they age to teens.
Going left to right:
Gargamel is Hogata's husband and father of Janka, Barbara and Łucja (or Lucy, I can't make up my mind about translating this name). He is evil wizard. His personality is 6/5/3/9/2 and his aspiration is fortune.
Salamandra is Baltazar's wife and mother of Eugene Magic (the wizard at the court of the Dariuses). She is good witch and works in alchemy (a.k.a. science). Her personality is 5/8/6/3/3. Her aspiration is knowledge.
Hogata is Gargamel's wife and mother of anka, Barbara and Łucja/Lucy. She is neutral witch. Her personality is 5/8/6/3/3. Her aspiration is knowledge.
Baltazar is Salamandra's husband and father of Eugene Magic. He's evil wizard. His personality is 4/7/8/3/3 and his aspiration is fortune.
Turquoise (on Baltazar's shoulder) is their dragon pet.
The second Magic household is much more crowded. It is inhabited by three sisters and their children.
The sisters run a magic shop, where they sell potions, cures and magic artefacts.
Left to right:
Łucja (Lucy) is the youngest daughter of Gargamel and Hogata. Even though, she is Eugene's wife, they live apart. They have three kids: Alice, Merlin (red-head boy with short hair) and Magus (red-head boy with long hair). She is infallibly good witch with her magic skills maxed out. She's got great relationship with Janka but doesn't get along with Barbara. She's got 10 points in logic and 5 both in creativity and cleaning. Her personality is 4/10/4/4/3, socially awkward, family-oriented, workaholic, virtuoso. Her favourite colour is white. Her first personality is knowledge and secondary is family.
The boy sitting in front of Łucja is her nephew, Arthur. He is son of Janka and Caligula, and elder twin of Octavian. He's also a half-sibling of his cousin, Arcadius (weird family relationships, let's go!). His personality is 10/10/1/8/0, snob, loves to swim, hates the outdoors.
Alice is the eldest child of Łucja and Eugene. She is a teenager who only recently unlocked her powers. She's learning magic and once she's old enough she will study at the magic university - Artes Magicae. She reached her rebellious teen phase as she fears casting good spells. xD Her personality is 7/4/9/8/1, hates the outdoors, love to swim, family-oriented, absent-minded. Her favourite colour is blue. Her aspiration is knowledge.
Merlin is the younger twin of Magus (yes, there are two sets of twins in this family. No, it wasn't on purpose) and the youngest child of Łucja and Eugene. His personality is 4/10/10/2/9, night owl, family-oriented, loves the outdoors.
Next to Merlin, his elder twin Magus is playing with a cat, Fang. Magus' personality is 4/5/6/10/10, brave, artistic, heavy sleeper.
Janka is the eldest daughter of Gargamel and Hogata. She is a mother of Arthur and Octavian. She's a neutral witch. She had a brief affair with Caligula Claudius, which resulted in twin pregnancy. Of course at the same time her sister Barbara had an affair with Caligula as well, bruh. Anyway, Janka gets along with both of her sisters. She works in medicine and is a licenced physician. She's got 6 points of cooking skill, 7 points of both mechanical and cleaning, 10 points of body skill. Her personality is 2/8/2/6/7, adventurous, workaholic, bookworm, kleptomaniac, artistic. Her favourite colour is brown. Her aspiration is knowledge.
The boy hanging on the chandelier is Octavian, younger twin of Arthur. He is son of Janka and Caligula, and half-sibling of his cousin Arcadius. His personality is 5/7/4/8/10, artistic, ambitious, genius.
Then we've got Arcadius, son of Barbara and Caligula. He spent his infancy and early toddlerhood living with his maternal grandparents, only then Barbara took care of her son. Like his half-siblings, he doesn't know they are so closely related. His personality is 4/9/9/8/5, heavy sleeper, bookworm, good sense of humor.
Barbara is the middle daughter of Gargamel and Hogata. She is a mother of Arcadius. She's an atrociously evil witch and has a familar cat called Fang. She had a brief affair with Caligula Claudius. She works in entertainment. She's got 6 points of mechanical skill, 7 points of creativity, 8 points of cleaning and 10 points of body skill. Her personality is 7/5/9/3/1, over-emotional, loves the outdoors, heavy sleeper, supernatural fan, socially awkward. Her favourite colour is black. Her aspiration is knowledge.
Fang is mid between genius and doofus, mid between lazy and hyper, independent, cowardly and mid pigpen between finicky.
Next up, the Monks!

Mario’s Photo Studio
JP release: 2nd December 1998
NA release: N/A
PAL release: N/A
Developer: Nintendo, Datt, Fuji, Tokyo Electron
Publisher: Tokyo Electron
Original Name: Mario no Photopi
N64 Magazine Score: N/A
Mario’s Photo Studio (or Mario no Photopi) is a photo editing software for the N64 that was exclusive to Japan. It used a special cartridge that had slots to insert SecureMedia cards, which were presumably popular with digital camera in Japan at the time. In terms of emulation, there’s no way to load photos in to the game without the actual physical cartridge (even using an EverDrive on real hardware), however a modified version has been made that lets you test out the features without opening images.
The main part is editor. Here you can load images and manipulate them. You can add different layers, draw and add some renders of characters from Super Mario 64. Some of the menus also use sprites from Yoshi’s Story. Another feature lets you create a slideshow, and another saves your creations in a format to use in Fuji prating machines found in stores.
There’s a minigame that cuts up an image into squares and you have to put it back together by clicking two to swap them. However, it’s not as simple as it initially looks as swapping two will also flip them, so you have to get them in the right place and the right orientation. You can use the title screen image or (if you have the actual cartridge) load your own photo in to the game.
Mario’s Photo Studio is fairly basic software, built around the editing of photos to make fun postcards rather than an artist’s tool (the 64DD games are for that). If you wanted to do some basic things to photos and didn’t own a PC, this would have provided that service.
Adventurous artists can use the software to create ‘original postcards’, add text (Japanese and English), and then take it along to any FDI photostore (Fuji) to run off exclusive colour prints.
- Max Everingham, N64 Magazine #20
Remake or remaster?
This is just an interesting novelty.
Official Ways to get the game
There is no official way to get Mario’s Photo Studio

All TV series I've ever seen.
@thefirsthogokage 's search for new show to binge inspired me to list all TV shows I've seen so far. Of course I might add some along the way because I won't remember everything in one sitting.
Considering that it's going to be a lot... I might as well divide them in
1940 -1970 (this post)
1980 - 2000
2010 - Now.
Let us begin.
1944 - The Black Whip (serial)
For youngsters, a serial was like a TV show that our grandparents (maybe even great-grandparents) watched on the cinema. Sometimes all episodes (around 15 min each) would be edited together and played as a movie.
It was an experimental take of the character known as Zorro (born in pulp fiction) transported to USA's Wild West where two siblings have a newspaper but the brother is also "The Black Whip" a vigilante that keeps the peace in their town... until he's killed so his sister takes over his mantle (without anyone noticing). Fun fact: George J. Lewis later played Guy Williams's Zorro's father: Don Alejandro de la Vega.
Overall entertaining. The cliffhangers are kind of over done (keep in mind maybe back then they had to wait 1 week or more to see the next episode) and the escapes are sometimes kinda ridiculous but well... it's fun anyway. I saw it on Youtube.
1957 - Zorro (Disney)
You are not argentinean if you didn't grow up watching Zorro at noon while having lunch (or run from school to catch it before it ended). It is still being broadcasted today (in 2023) believe it or not!
Follow the adventures of Diego de la Vega, a señorito (very delicated gentleman) that during the nights turns into El Zorro, a vigilante that rights injustices and saves the people of Los Angeles.
LOVE IT. Guy Williams is Zorro, no-one will ever be better than him. It's fun for the whole family (and do not be fooled by the time it was made, the female characters are well written and very progressive for the time being). Saw it on TV over and over and over again and never got tired of it.
1959 - The Three Stooges (year they began to be televised)
How could I forget about my childhood heroes?
My first contact with slapstick comedy and absurdities galore.
In this house we believe in Moe, Larry, Curly & Shemp supremacy!!
1961 - Mr. Ed.
Ever wondered how it would be to live with a talking horse? Well, now you'll know.
Fun for all family, catchy title song... you can see it probably in lots of places because it's a classic (but for me it was on a bootleg DVD pack)
1964 - The Addams Family
We all know and grew up with The Addams Family movies in the 90's but this is the original live-action (with Gorey's insight). The family canon is different: Mom is Gomez's mother, Fester is Morticia's uncle and my favourite (yet always forgotten in the new media) is Ophelia, Morticia's twin sister -who was supposed to marry Gomez in first place-.
To be fair I saw it a couple of years ago so I don't remember too much, but its all-family-fun and if you are a spooky-inclined person (such as me) you'll end up wanting to own a house like theirs (and maybe some of their creatures as well). I saw it on bootleg DVDs, shhh... don't tell anyone.
1965 - Get Smart
Another argentinean staple (not as strong as Zorro, though) was this spy-comedy born out of mocking James Bond with gadgets and all. "Smart, Maxwell Smart. Agent 86" carved himself a space in our hearts with Agent 99, the Chief, agent K-9, Jaime and the equitative incompetent villain Siegfried.
Super fun with all the weird and borderline ridiculous inventions and plots. It sort of loses its momentum in the final seasons (when Max and the 99 get married and have twins) but there are still moments of greatness. I have all the DVDs, original ones this time.
1967 - Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons
In Argentina we use the expression "wooden actor/actress" a lot... but in this case it's probably right because they are all puppets (unless they do a close up of their hands, then they are human 😱).
Follow this colour-coded crew of space travellers and their adventures. I don't fully remember if it was a concept or if it actually happens in the show but maybe Captain Scarlet doesn't make it to the end of the day. Very early Aeon Flux from his part. Be like me buying a bootleg DVD collection or you can probably find it on Youtube.
1971 - The Persuaders!
Who on this Earth hates either Roger Moore or Tony Curtis? I'm ready to throw hands!
Two millonaires (with lots of monetary issues aparently) have to work together for a Judge solving different crimes (identity theft, kidnappings, robberies, etc). It is never quite explained why both of them are the right ones to do the job but no-one cares because you'll end up loving Lord Brett Sinclair (Moore) and his love-hate relationship with Danny Wilde (Curtis) plagued with sarcasm but, eventually, true friendship.
I'm a Danny Wilde kinda girl (and I would like to have like half of his jackets, they are awesome) but Moore is also lovable. Yes, most of the cases have a beautiful girl that ends up with any of them... yes, some things are a little too convenient... but it is a show to have a good time. Don't think too hard about it. I've watched it on bootleg DVD but it is also on Youtube.
1973 - El Chavo del 8 & El Chapulín Colorado (The Kid from the 8th and The Red Cricket)
Both shows were aired pretty much at the same time and starred by the same cast the first one tells the story of a orphan kid that lives in a vicinity with very colourful characters.
The second one is the Mexican Superhero by excellence.
Chespirito (a wordplay for the Spanish "Little Shakespeare" -Shakespeare chiquito-) AKA Roberto Gomez Bolaños -author and lead in both shows- even said that his superheroe was better than the ones from Marvel or DC because he didn't needed muscles... he just wanted to do good and had big heart.
1976 - Charlie's Angels
I really don't understand why is it so hard for the movies to get it right. They were private investigators, not super-spies!!
3 girls became cops but were destined to "girl jobs" like secretary, school crossing and making parking tickets... but were recruited by the misterious Charlie that knows that they are capable of more so now they work solving cases where the police can't or won't be called.
We only own the first season on bootleg DVD (my mom's and aunt's favourite with the three original angels). It's fun and it's for everybody.
1976 - The Bionic Woman
Jamie Sommers (professional tennis player and Steve Austin's finceé) has a skydiving accident resulting in her getting bionic replacements of her legs, arm and ear. Since the equipment was very expensive (not like Steve's six million dollars bionic parts) she agrees to use it to help the goverment in dangerous missions. In the meantime she'll keep on working as a teacher.
Adventures of all kinds and the most memorable ones are with the fembots (altough many people like the Sasquatch episode, who knows why 🤷🏻♀️). Saw it on bootleg DVD.
1976 - Wonder Woman
Really? Wonder Woman? Lynda Carter? Do I need to explain anything? Just go watch it. (I saw in on bootleg DVD, shhh! Mrs. Carter is nearby, I don't want her to get upset).
1976 - The Muppets
Do they need introduction? Guest stars in every episode, humor, music and Ms. Piggy. You just can't hate Jim Hensons' creatures.
I have the first season on bootleg DVD but saw quite a few scenes on Youtube and social media as well.
1977 - The Incredible Hulk.
Bill Bixby + Lou Ferrigno + weekly adventures + that bloody journalist that follows them everywhere (and you will recognize as the bartender in Back to the Future III) to try and caught them red handed + the saddest end to every episode seeing poor Bruce Banner with his backpack walking to another town because he can never stay on the same place for too long = this early Marvel property that gave us a sneek peek into the complicated life of a superhero.
It's good, a problem-of-the-week show, but then again... poor Bruce Banner always alone, I want to cry 😭 Saw it on TV, I don't think that all episodes were aired back then nor when my mom and aunts were little.
1978 - Mork & Mindy
An alien that looks and acts like Robin Williams ends up living with the human Mindy to learn more about us. By the end of every episode Mork gives his report about what he learned about Humanity and it's usually very uplifting.
I've watched a few episodes on TV (this was Argentina in the '90s, you were lucky if any TV channel bought 2 seasons of any show to repeat ad eternum).
Nanu nanu!!

Let's Raise Chao Together!
Welcome to the community chao garden! All chao attributes are decided via suggestions and polls.
Garden Residents || About Chao (via Chao Island) || Mod's Blog
If you have any questions or suggestions, please send this blog an ask.
In the event of a tie, unless otherwise stated, the result will be chosen by rolling a random number.
If these posts keep showing up in your Tumblr searches and you don't want to see them, blacklist the tag #let's raise chao.
More info under the cut.
Chao Attributes
After a newborn chao is hatched, I'll ask for name suggestions, and run a poll based on the replies to that post and any suggestions sent via the ask box. These will not change post-reincarnation. I'll also run a poll to determine each chao's pronouns.
Chao will not be mistreated on purpose (except for hatching via throwing because it's funny). I will also use a variety of characters to raise each chao, mostly depending on its alignment.
Alignment and first evolution will be determined upon hatching and again after reincarnation. Second evolution will be determined after the chao cocoons and becomes an adult.
Chao will be raised to max level in each incarnation. Prior to first evolution, they will be raised to at least level 20 in their intended primary stat, 0 in the opposite stat (unless affected by animals), and at least level 10 in all others. Chao whose primary stat is intended to be stamina will be raised to at least level 10 in all stats.
For animals, to simplify the process a bit, we'll first vote what animal group to give them (chaos drives only, swim, fly, run, power, random, mythical, and ghost). Then, if one of the animal groups wins, we'll vote on what specific animals to give them, either 10 of just one, 5 of two, or 3 of each. I'll alternate which ones I give them so they can have a variety of traits. Afterwards, I'll balance their stats to the desired influence and minimum levels using chaos drives.
When all of our current babies and young adults have reached a stable point (waiting for first evolution or reincarnation), we'll vote on whether to add a new chao egg to our garden via either breeding or the black market.
Gameplay
Primary gameplay will take place on the PC version of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I am playing with the Chao World Extended Mod, and some other miscellaneous ones. I also have access to various other tools, such as Krzys2's Chao Editor, but cheating/editing will be minimal for more authentic gameplay. Basically, I will only use it to view chao stats, speed up the garden's timescale (if needed), and correct mistakes.
I have not yet decided how we should handle races, karate, and lessons; I'm open to suggestions on that.
Relevant Mods Currently Enabled
Chao World Extended
HD Chao Textures
Improved Waypoints (fixes problem with chao not using whole garden)
Character Select Plus (allows for playing as any character in the garden)
Random Race Alignment (randomizes chao race opponents' alignments in some races)
CWE Settings Currently Enabled
Day/Night cycle
Gardens won't affect alignment
Egg colour will match the chao inside it
Baby chao can be a mix of their parents' colours instead of one or the other
Newborn chao can have varying shades of colour (for more variety in monotone chao)
Stronger chao drive + chao stat multiplier (for faster leveling)
More chao animation + expression + sound
Win jewel chao in jewel race (so we have to beat races to get jewel eggs)
Black Market debug menu (so we can obtain all egg colours)
(Not all of them listed because there are a lot, these are just ones I thought people might want to know about)

Is it Worth Buying the New iPhone 16?
The release of the iPhone 16 has sparked a flurry of excitement among Apple enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike. With each new iteration, Apple promises to deliver cutting-edge technology and innovative features that enhance user experience. But is it worth upgrading to the iPhone 16? In this blog post, we will explore the key features, accessories, and considerations to help you make an informed decision.
Key Features of the iPhone 16
Enhanced Performance
One of the standout features of the iPhone 16 is its improved performance. The device is powered by Apple’s latest A17 chip, which offers faster processing speeds and better energy efficiency compared to its predecessors. This means smoother multitasking, quicker app launches, and an overall more responsive user experience.
Camera Upgrades
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the significant upgrades in camera technology. The iPhone 16 boasts an advanced camera system with improved low-light performance and enhanced optical zoom capabilities. Whether you’re capturing stunning landscapes or close-up portraits, the iPhone 16’s camera is designed to deliver professional-quality photos.
Display Quality
The display on the iPhone 16 has also received a makeover. With a brighter Super Retina XDR display that supports ProMotion technology, users can expect smoother scrolling and more vibrant colours. This makes it ideal for streaming videos or playing graphics-intensive games.
Accessories for Your New iPhone 16
When investing in a new smartphone like the iPhone 16, it’s essential to consider accessories that can enhance your experience and protect your device.
iPhone 16 Accessories
There are numerous accessories available for the iPhone 16 that cater to different needs. From stylish cases to functional chargers, these accessories can help you get the most out of your device.
iPhone 16 Pro Cases
Protecting your investment should be a top priority. The market offers a wide range of iPhone 16 pro cases, from slim designs that maintain your phone’s sleek profile to rugged options for those who lead an active lifestyle. Brands like OtterBox are renowned for their durable cases that protect against drops and scratches.
iPhone 16 Glass Protector
To keep your screen pristine, investing in an iPhone 16 glass protector is highly recommended. These protectors offer an additional layer of defence against scratches and cracks while maintaining touch sensitivity and clarity.
Waterproof Cases
For those who enjoy outdoor adventures or simply want peace of mind around water, consider getting an iPhone 16 waterproof case or specifically an iPhone 16 pro waterproof case. These cases are designed to withstand water exposure while keeping your device safe from potential damage.
Capacity Considerations: The Pro Max Edition
If you’re contemplating whether to go for the standard model or opt for something more robust like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, capacity plays a crucial role in your decision-making process.
Storage Options
The iPhone 16 Pro Max capacity options range from ample storage for everyday users to higher capacities suitable for those who store large files such as videos or high-resolution images regularly. Choosing a model with sufficient storage ensures you won’t run out of space when you need it most.
Pricing: Is It Worth It?
When considering whether it’s worth buying the new iPhone 16, pricing is undoubtedly a factor that cannot be overlooked. The cost varies depending on which model you choose—standard vs Pro vs Pro Max—and what storage capacity you select.
While some may argue that newer models come with premium price tags, it’s essential to weigh this against what you’re getting in terms of performance enhancements and features compared to older models.
Conclusion: Should You Upgrade?
Ultimately, whether or not you should purchase the new iPhone 16 depends on several factors:
If you’re using an older model (like the iPhone X or earlier), upgrading could significantly enhance your experience due to advancements in technology.
If photography is important to you, then investing in this latest model with its superior camera capabilities may be worthwhile.
If you’re someone who frequently uses their phone outdoors or near water bodies, then investing in protective accessories such as iPhone 16 pro max OtterBox cases or waterproof options could save you money on repairs down the line.
In summary, if you’re looking for enhanced performance, superior camera quality, and innovative features—all wrapped up in stylish designs—the new iPhone 16 may just be worth every penny spent! Don’t forget about essential accessories like protective cases and glass protectors; they can significantly extend your device’s lifespan while enhancing usability!

ᗷEᗩT ᗩᖇOᑌᗪ TᕼE ᗷᑌᔕᕼ
Max Caulfield x Reader
Summary: Funeral, distant Max, etc.
Warnings: Mentions of death.
Max and I have always been joined at the hip. We met in my hometown in Seattle and were always close. Even though we went to different schools, we always found time to hang out together. We would go on adventures, take photos, and just have fun together. We were always there for each other, even when things got tough, and our friendship has been unbreakable since.
We'd moved to Arcadia together, though she kept rather quiet about it. I didn't mind so much, as long as I got to finally spend time with her without the boundaries of parents and different schools. Arcadia bay's a small town, but it was the best place to be, considering Max's photography wet dream and my... I'm not too sure, either way it could be found in Blackwell.
Speaking of, the final school year had just resumed after Christmas break and Max was already working on a new project. It was a secret, but I knew it was something she was really excited about. We were both so busy with school and our own projects that we barely had time to talk, let alone hang out.
"Black and white or colour?" Max mutters, eyes focused on the screen in front of her.
"What?" I ask, lifting my head to see what she's working on.
It's a photo she took last week of a doe over at the lighthouse. I smile at the memory, I remember her freezing when she notices the opportunity to snap the photo. I remember her coming to me and basically shaking with all the excitement. Later that evening, I was finishing some homework that was due the next morning and she lay on my bed, staring at the photo for hours.
"Wow, Max." I gasp, clearly not having had a good enough look at the photo to realise its true beauty, "It's really pretty," I stare into her eyes, ", the photo... of course." My face burns up, but Max keeps her focus on the photo she'd been editing the entire lesson. She doesn't respond, which doesn't bother me, I'd not been able to get full sentences out of her the past week. Though, I'd never dare point it out to her.
"Hey Max, I was thinking-" I begin, but am rudely interrupted by the ring of my phone, Max turns her head back to the screen again, knowing I probably wasn't going to finish my sentence. I check the caller ID, it's my dad. We haven't spoken since Christmas, so it'll be nice to catch up, but not exactly during a lesson. Dad always understood I'd be busy with school, so it's rather odd he'd be calling at this time.
"Hey, Dad!" I greet, smiling through the phone.
"Y/n, it's nice to hear your voice." My eyebrows furrow at his low and dragging tone. Something's not right, but I'm not sure what.
"What's up?" I ask, trying to get a read on him. But, clearly, the concerning silence on the other end of the line only added to my raising suspicion.
There's a long pause on the other end of the line, "Y/n, it's about Liam..." My heart sinks as I finally put together all the factors from the phone call. The odd timing, my Father's usual cheerful voice dimmed down to a somber, regretful one, my cousin had been overly thoughtful and somewhat appreciative.
"What do you mean Dad?" I breathe, desperation creeping into my voice. I get up out of my seat, heading towards the art room's brightly coloured door, deathly contrasted to the news I was yet to hear.
"Y/n, I know you knew about his health-" My heart stops as he speaks, "- and I don't want to just put this on you and expect to deal with it. So-"
I cut him off, "Just tell me." Quick and sharp, the words awaited acting as a signature to my unfortunate expectations.
"He passed away earlier today, around 11 to be exact."
Tears sat on the brims of my eyes now on the verge of an outbreak, waves of emotions and feelings part like the red sea as the news sink in. He was gone, gone before he could even get a chance to live. And, as much as I wanted to hold on to some semblance of hope, the bitter truth was clear.
He'd been ill for quite some time, and still more was to come. The doctors called it chronic, our family called it a bump in the road. We've downplayed it for so long, and it's finally reached its encore. But, it's the final curtain call. My mind reeled at the thought of my cousin lying in a hospital bed for weeks, maybe even months, knowing his fate. But, we all chose to look the other way. We were comfortable in our own lives and didn't want to rock the boat.
Liam and I were always hot and cold. We were usually either fighting over some silly competition or coming up with the world's greatest new invention. I remember one time for Halloween all of the first cousins dressed up as the mystery gang from Scooby doo, but there were one too many cousins so two of us had to be Scooby, and that just so happened to be Liam and me. We spent the whole night fighting over who was the better Scooby once we got home, we had 0 sweets to celebrate. Which soon lead to the both of us stealing a bunch out of our other cousins' bags.
It feels like yesterday that all that happened. Times change so quickly that sometimes you don't even notice how much it can flip your world. And now, he's gone. The one person I could always count on in a time of need is no longer here to help me out. It feels like the whole world has collapsed on me.
I sit on the floor, my back against the wall, balling my hands into fists as the tears continue flowing freely. I bury my face in my knees, wishing I could take the pain with him. But, that's not how this works.
Footsteps approach, and I hear the door open before the gentle warmth of a hand rests on my back. I don't have to look up to know it's Max.
"Y/n?" She coos, her hand rubbing circles on my back in soothing circles. "What're you doing out here?"
I shake my head, still trying to come to terms with what's happened. "Come on, let's go." The dark-haired girl helps me up, her cold fingers lacing between mine, while her free hand brushes any hair in my face. The phone call was long forgotten, assuming Dad understood and just hung up.
We make our way back to my dorm, walking in silence as thoughts race through my mind. A message notification rings through the silent air, I go to reach for my phone but am interrupted by Max, flashing me warning eyes. I shrug her off and pick up the phone, it reading:
Dad: The funeral is back home, 7:30 AM on the 27th, lots of love x
I huff and fall back into my bed, letting my hands be a blanket to my face, covering any fear presented on my face. I don't want to go back home. I don't want to see the looks on my parents' faces or the pity in everyone's eyes. I don't want to have to think any more about it.
Balled fists rub at my eyes as if to somehow erase the sadness and pass the mourning. Over the half-hour, Max had been accompanying me, she got the gist of what'd happened. "I can come with you if you want."
"No, it'd only be a bother, considering all that work you've got. I can tell Jefferson's been harder on you recently, don't let my problems-" I mutter quietly, guilty to be declining such a kind gesture.
She takes both my hands, pausing my sentence, "No, I want to. Plus, I know you'd do the same for me." She smiles softly, I don't know what to say, so I just nod
The funeral day soon comes around, I managed fine for the week or two after the news hit, but now it's time to actually face reality. I put on a brave face for Max, but I know the truth. I'm a mess. My eyes keep drifting to my phone, expecting it to ring with another notification telling me to go home. But it doesn't.
I make my way to the back of the church, taking a seat in the last row, Max following shortly behind. I know my parents are here somewhere, but I don't want to see them. They don't deserve my tears, they didn't deserve to lose him like this.
The preacher starts speaking, and I try to focus on what he's saying. But it's all so meaningless. And I'm dreading having to speak to the family later on, it'll only be full of pathetic small talk and to-the-side chats.
The speech shortly ended, and I slowly made my way out, Max following behind. We don't utter a word to each other, just make our way to an old wooden bench that would definitely give you splinters if you touched it bare skin. The rest of the friends and family gathered around the one small garden area outside the church.
I gain the occasional stare that is interrupted once I catch on, eyes full of pity, and words tip-toeing on eggshells in fear it may jab at a sensitive topic.
"I don't feel like I'm helping too much." Max sighs, deflating her shoulders in self-defeat.
I slowly shake my head, "No, you being here is more than enough."
The freckled girl glances down at her twiddling hands, attempting to gather her words, "I'm sorry."
"Please Max, that's all I've had these past few weeks," I chuckle, letting the playful statement drag out, lingering in the air.
"No, not like that. Well, yes of course- no- but, you know." She stutters, then takes a few breaths to clear her mind when she notices my waiting face. "I mean for being a bit distant, and I don't want to blame it on school or pastimes or anything, because really, I should've been making time for you. And I feel that the way I've acted has only added to how you feel." She says, slower this time.
"It's okay, I get it." I offer, tucking a few loose strands of hair behind my ear. "You're at Blackwell to do what you love most, I'm there to... well, to be with you. So, always put what you love first." I smile softly, giving her a gentle hug.
"Thank you," She whispers, burying her face in my shoulder, "But the thing is- um, never mind."
I pull back, a quirked eyebrow planted on my face met with a brightly red-faced Max, "What thing?"
She swallows, picking at a loose thread on her sleeve, "I- I'm just not sure if it's the right time." She admits, her cheeks flushing a light pink.
"Max, come on," I playfully jab her shoulder, ", tell me," I say, trying to keep my voice as gentle as possible.
She nods, but she doesn't meet my eyes, "I know, I'm just- I don't know what to say."
I can feel my eyebrows furrow in confusion, "What is it?" Concern grew for the girl.
"I just want to tell you the full truth," She pauses, "It's just- I've never felt this way before. Around anyone. And I thought maybe if I'm distant it'll go away and I won't ruin what we've had." She admits, her voice breaking. "But it hasn't and I know it won't, and I'm so sorry if this freaks you out, but-"
I wrap my arms around her, almost immediately stopping her sentence, "It doesn't freak me out," I assure her, ", if anything, it relieves me." I slowly admit, the words more or less pouring out of my mouth.
I feel her shake her head, "I don't know, that's a bad or good thing." She giggles.
I pull back to look at her, "I'm not so sure. A good thing..?" I try, scratching the back of my neck. "This is really confusing me, did we just confess feelings to each other by beating around the bush?"
"Why'd you have to ruin it." Max rolls her eyes, leaning in for a tighter hug.

So Iconic how both Joe Hills and Etho Slabs radiate such similar cryptid energies despite being opposites in many ways like
similarities: soft spoken dudes who include a lot of music they've made in their content, cryptids, talk about where they're from
Differences:
1. Nashville Tenessee and Canada are obviously very different places, that are very different in climate.
2. building style. Joe does a lot of models of historical things, and replicas, it's very based in reality most of the time. Etho likes to be a lot more abstract, instead focusing on making interesting shapes and colour palettes.
3. Humanities vs. STEM vibes. Yes Joe can code and do redstone. But when I say STEM vibes, I mean in the way that the way Etho approaches the game is very methodical and almost scientific, he likes min-maxing and figuring out the most efficient way of doing things whereas Joe doesn't really care that much about that stuff. He's just there to vibe.
4. Persona. Joe talks a lot about his life in his livestreams, and has images of his face and his name readily available. I think if I even tried to perceive that Etho has a name beyond Etho, or even a real face the cogs in my brain would stop working.
5. Editting. Joe's a lot more about those single takes with a few soft cuts, maybe a replay mod if it's something adventurous. Also, 2000's imovie transitions overlaid with his classic time skip. Etho does most of his montages in first person, often giving very small glimpses of the product before showing the whole thing, and overall there's a lot more cutting to and from different things. Also, I think Etho does montages a lot more often. Also also, I think Etho would literally explode if he included wipes like Joes in his videos

The Flavours Of Life - A Sims 4 Legacy Challenge
Sims tend to have a lack of personality. A lack of flavour. But I'm here to fix it. Are you tired of sims challenges either being too short or having wayyy too many goals to incorporate your own creative freedom? Then read ahead!
General rules;
1 - No cheats and cheaty mods. Sims tends to get boring if you cheat money, careers and skills. 2 - This challenge is about having freedom and being flexible. So feel free to edit some of the generation rules for your liking in your playthrough. 3 - Stick to a normal or long lifespan. 4 - Design your sims with the general colours/styles of the generations. 5 - The whole point of this challenge is to have fun so if you don't think you're going to enjoy a gen, skip it!
Generation One, Vanilla;
New town, new life and new opportunities. You grew up with privilege and have never had to work for yourself. Until one day, your parents pass away suddenly and you find they left nothing to you in your will. In a rags to riches style, you have to build yourself up from nothing. Eventually, you gain back your white picket fence lifestyle and marry, then have kids. You care for and love your kids - you want the best for them. But one day you make a grave mistake...
Traits: Materialistic, Snob and Perfectionist.
Aspiration: Succesful Lineage.
Career: Your choice, excluding high intensity jobs.
-Max out a career of your choice.
-Have at least two kids.
-Master parenting and whatever skill(s) correspond with your job.
- Complete at least half of your aspiration
- Have a one night stand with an evil sim, get pregnant and lie to your partner that it's their child.
Generation two, Strawberry;
You've always seemed so sweet and... charming. So charming you can practically manipulate anyone into liking and trusting you. Okay let's face it - you're evil. (I wonder who you got that from). You've been married so many times it's hard to count. It's a shame your relationships never work out. Although you'd prefer to commit crimes all day, you have a reputation to uphold. So you buy a bakery! Some say the special ingredient is love. You know it's much more sinister.
Traits: Evil, Romantic and Foodie.
Aspiration: Serial Romantic.
Career: Baking Business.
-Have a pristine reputation.
-Have multiple of your wives/husbands die under "suspicious circumstances" and take their money
-Have at least a three star business.

Growing up your parental figures came and went. Nothing was permanent. Which is why you guess stability never come easy to you. The only thing that remained consistent throughout your life was your hatred of your parents. As a teen or young adult you run away from home at the dead of night and start a new life. With no set goals or plans in your life you jump quickly from one thing from another. You live all over the globe during your life but you finally settle down in the tropical Sulani. Sneaking out to parties, underage drinking and hiding your soulmate in your room. Whatever you were doing it certainly wasn't something good. At school you never tried and got an F Grade at high school. But when P.E came around... you were the star of the show. Sports was your natural calling. For a lot of your life you were stuck in a loveless relationship that ended in divorce and kids to look after. You wrote romance novels in hopes that one day the stories would come true and you'd find that special someone to call your "soulmate". And eventually, you do! As you got older, nothing changed. You became a famous actor. People around the globe loved you and the roles you'd play. One night you spot a paparazzi and the flirtations began. At first you thought it'd be nothing; you were used to pretending to like someone. As the night progressed, you and the paparazzi hooked up and a child was conceived. You grew up and had a large family. You managed to balance work and family perfectly. You gave your children full unconditional love and they returned it. Despite being unwanted as a child, you made sure your children felt belonging. One day it all changed. One of your children passed away in a fire and you were distraught. -Reach the top of Mt.Komorebi.
-Have a child with a Seladoradian Native.
Generation 8, Sweet:
You grew up in a wild family. You often went on wild journeys with your parent but you didn't really want to live that life. Music was your passion. Anything musical was perfect to you. Through joy, sorrow and hope you played music. You became an entertainer and married your co-worker. You sang soft lullabies to your children when they cried and serenaded your partner when things were getting romantic. After a long days work, you come home and see your partner in bed... with the maid! Do you forgive and forget? Or do you divorce?
Traits; Music-Lover, Good and Jealous
Aspiration; Musical Genius
Career; Entertainer
-Max out two instrument skills and singing.
-Max out the entertainer career
-Donate to charity once a week.
-Adopt two children from less fortunate homes.
-Catch your partner cheating on you
FYI;
This challenge is my first one so please don't hate. Constructive criticism is appreciated. Also this challenge is loosely based off of the not so berry challenge by lilsimsie. Go subscribe to her :)

youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
さて2021年。あと3か月しかない。今年はやる?やらない?いろいろ越えるべきものが多くすぎてそれ以前の問題かもしれないなけど。

Game of the Year 2020...?
Ive scrolled the list of games that came out this year to see what my GOTY ended up being, but turns out the only game I played in 2020 that released that year was, uh…….
Fucking good game but like I’m not gonna hand it GOTY by default (That goes to Hades, based solely impressions from other people). Actually, I’m not handing out any awards, really. So I guess I’m just gonna go over a bunch of the other games I did play last year, regardless of whether or not they came out then.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
A mate got me this for my birthday in December 2019, and unlike the other games I got then (Kirby Star Allies which I burned through that month and Octopath which I still haven’t played) I spent a fair few hours playing it last year. This was before the sequel was announced, and also a little bit after the fact- figured I should try and finish one before playing the other. Unfortunately, I have yet to purchase Age of Calamity nor finish Definitive Edition, because the former is expensive and the latter is expansive. Holy shit there’s so much fucking content in this game. I don’t think I ever will finish it to be honest, though despite the repetitiveness it never really felt boring to me. It’s the only Warriors/Musou game I’ve played, and I’d be interested in trying others based on the experience.
(I’m not playing Fire Emblem Warriors though fuck that)
Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC: The Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra
Sword and Shield felt somewhat lacking on release, and while the DLCs released this year did much to try and fix this its still a bit shit that it required an extra paycheck out of you to get the full game- outside of outsourced mobile games like Go and Shuffle, or services such as Bank or Home, Pokemon has never actually had DLC/microtransactions, so this was a little disappointing. I’d argue that it absolutely wasn’t worth it when Isle was released, as fun as the content was it was again, lacking. Crown Tundra I would argue exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations, however- the new and returning mons are cool and welcome (I despised Calyrex’s design on first reveal but their behaviour in story redeemed it more than enough), and the Max Lair Adventure offered a surprisingly replayable romp that has been great to just try and grind out with friends. I can’t say I’d recommend the DLC pack though- only if because you’ve probably made up your mind already as to whether or not you’re getting it, or this doesn’t apply to you at all. I could also put basically every main series Pokemon game on here, seeing as I’m pretty sure I nuzlocked every region at some point during the year, but I don’t want to make this *that* long.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate Expansion Pass
Smash is still Smash. I don’t find myself playing it much on my own, and even in Perth get-togethers weren’t super common last year. As neat as the DLC characters released this year are for the franchise as a whole, none of them convinced me to play significantly more than usual, and I can’t wrap my head around half of them, so.
Also, I’m still salty about Byleth, and I actually really liked Three Houses, it was my first FE game. Why the fuck wasn’t it Claude????
Rivals of Aether
On the other hand, in the last few months I’ve found myself grinding match after match of Rivals with one of my best mates and the game is a fucking blast, holy shit. I still haven’t bought it for myself, but its basically 100% of the reason I have played 0 smash for the last few months since we’re too busy mashing Orcane vs Ranno over and over and not really getting tired of it. It requires a specific type of person to get into it, but if you’re in that group then its just an excellent game.
VA-11 Hall-A
I first played VA-11 Hall-A (Vallhalla, since typing that is a pain) by pirating it and playing it on my laptop in the dead of night.
It quickly became one of my favourite games of all time.
When the Switch port dropped, I felt obliged to actually pay for it this time around, since the developers had more than earned my money. And then I replayed it again, playing it on my switch in the dead of night (At least this time I had the excuse of being a nightshift worker). With the sequel unfortunately delayed into 2021, it might be time to run it back once more or drag more of my mates into Glitch City since I already forcibly exposed a few of em to it.
The post-credits title screen is still my phone background.
Fallout: New Vegas
I don’t really have much to say about FNV that hasn’t been said already, especially considering HBomberguy’s recently released video, but it is also on my top 5 list and I only got around to playing Lonesome Road and Dead Money this year. Also went out of my way to 100% achievement complete the game on Steam, which I believe is the first time I’ve done that for a game.
Zero Escape Series (Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors, Virtue’s Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma)
The Danganronpa series’ less colourful sibling, Zero Escape was a series I finally got around to finishing after having borrowed a friend’s copy of VLR back in high school and playing it wrong due to not deleting his save file (oops,). I think VLR remains my favourite, and I really hope the series continues at some point (unlikely as it seems now) considering how ZTD missed the mark pretty hard. The first 2 games are still excellent mystery games and a lot of fun, though you do need somewhat of a tolerance for words.
A Hat in Time
Oh god this game is so fucking cute. Also, just an excellent platformer. Is the DLC still on sale? I should buy that.
Fallout 4
Its just not New Vegas. It just isn’t. I really tried with this game, I really did. The gunplay is great, modding and building shit is fun, but its just not the same.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
A couple years ago I bought a SNES Mini, but until 2020 I didn’t really have a convenient way of playing it seeing as my monitor didn’t have an HDMI port. But now I do have one with one, so I got to start playing this classic! And then stopped because of uni. Should finish that, probably.
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
Shit Keara I still have your copy sorry I’ll get back to it :<
Pokemon Stadium
I also managed to get my N64 up and running, and despite being the wrong region for most of the games available in local shops, I somehow managed to get Stadium for a great price. Got to dig out my old Red cartridge and anything. Fuck me though, this game is brutal. Seriously, Gen 1 battle mechanics are tough to deal with at the best of times, having to do battle after battle with said mechanics without losing is just nuts. I still haven’t managed to get Round 2 unlocked.
God, fuck you Blaine. Goddamn fire spin Rapidash motherfucker.
Super Mario 64 Speaking of, I managed to pick up a Japanese cartridge of SM64, complete with BLJ glitches and 3 entire save files. After much effort, I managed to actually get it working, and spent most of the night of Christmas getting smashed and trying to beat Bowser in the Fire Sea. I played a lot of the DS remake as a kid, and I feel like an idiot for struggling as much I did with the original.
This is all of course a buildup to the fact that I was lying about not assigning a GOTY. Because there is only one N64 game in my small collection deserving of Game of the Year, because its deserving of Game of the Year every year since its 1999 release.

Isuzu’s distinctive D-Max XTR has become a very successful model for Isuzu, forming part of its ‘Adventure’ range. XTR was developed for off-road enthusiasts and drivers who want a vehicle that is competent over rough and demanding terrain. To further bolster its appeal Isuzu have launched the XTR Colour Edition.
The XTR remains the most sophisticated and authentically capable pick-up in the D-Max range but in Colour Edition trim it now offers colour coded body kit and a green Isuzu badge – aimed at refreshing the XTR’s styling whilst not detracting from its fantastic off-road capabilities.
The XTR body kit was specifically designed for D-Max and is normally coated in a durable black Raptor finish. However, the nex XTR Colour Edition offers a different paint option meaning that the front bumper guard, wheel arch extensions, bonnet protector, rear tailgate spoiler and headlight frames are colour-coded with the body. The fog light surrounds and grille have remained black to contrast the body colour sections. The vibrant green Isuzu front grille badge is a popular accessory on the original XTR but now comes as standard on the Colour Edition. As with the standard XTR, the Colour Edition is equipped with exclusive heavy-duty 6-spoke satin black 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus (all season) tyres.
The XTR durable, black side steps have an angular bar framework which makes them function as rock sliders and sill protectors too. The steps have a lozenge shaped infill which acts as a drain point for mud, sand and snow. Black door mirror covers and black door handles complement the steps on the XTR Colour Edition in conjunction with tinted rear windows. The rear light surrounds are also painted and the rear bumper also incorporates some body colour elements. The step exhaust finisher inserts are also black for added contrast. Another colourful feature means when travelling behind the truck drivers will see flashes of vibrant green from both the rear anti-roll bar and rear dampers. The XTR Colour Edition’s heated front sports seats are upholstered in leather, suede and carbon fibre leather with contrast green overstitching on the side bolsters. An XTR logo is embroidered on the back rest of each front seat and is repeated on the rear centre headrest. The D-shaped, sports XTR steering wheel is individually finished with green overstitching that is sewn on by hand.
The Isuzu D-Max XTR Colour Edition benefits from bespoke Pedders suspension and brake system designed to be comfortable on the road and capable in the extreme off-road – the XTR benefits from kevlar ceramic front brake pads and has 250mm ground clearance.
The XTR Colour Edition will be available in Splash White, Titanium Silver Met, Obsidian Grey Mica and Cosmic Black Mica (as is the standard XTR) and only a limited number of each colour will be available as Colour Edition models. Another Isuzu range upgrade during the COVID-19 lockdown is the D-Max Utility tipper conversion. Based on the Utility Extended Cab, the conversion is a cost-effective solution for customers who require a tough and reliable tipper, with great off-road capabilities. The tipper conversion combines all the essential workhorse attributes of the D-Max Utility with the practicality of a durable and lightweight tipper body.
The tipper conversion load bed is 1,977mm long by 1,800mm wide. The bed is constructed using 18mm thick interlocking alloy floor panels with 300mm high sideboards and tailboard and heavy-duty underfloor tie points. The tailboard, which opens to 180°, features a 2-way hinge assembly – meaning it can be opened from both the top and bottom – and rubber buffer stops to protect the body. Meanwhile, the spring latches on the sideboards are recessed to avoid catching on objects and the corner posts are removable to provide an open platform – perfect for loading and unloading.
A wander lead control is used to activate the electro-hydraulic power pack that lifts the body. The tipping gear and subframe have been fully galvanised to protect them from the elements and, once raised, there’s an integral body prop and hose burst safety valve to stop the body from falling unexpectedly. For safety reasons, a dual-tone alarm is activated when the body is raised or lowered and, rubber moulded body rests have been added to prevent the tipper body clattering the frame while driving and distracting the driver. Completing the tipper conversion, a powder-coated tubular gantry infilled with a protection panel has been fitted to shield the cab. The Utility has a heated rear screen as standard so the protection panel, complete with Isuzu logo, has been finished with a laser cut square design to ensure clear visibility when reversing.
The Utility features a hard-wearing black front bumper, black door handles and heated black door mirrors. The interior includes two 12-volt sockets, remote control central locking, an easy-cleanable vinyl floor covering and under seat base storage plus manual air-conditioning, power windows and an RDS radio with Bluetooth connectivity and USB port. It also comes with a wide range of safety equipment as standard like driver, passenger and curtain airbags. In addition, there is Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and Trailer Sway Control, which complements the 3.5t towing capacity.
The D-Max Utility tipper conversion will be a low volume vehicle with an expected lead time of approximately four weeks. The tipper will be sold through the Isuzu dealer network as a used approved conversion and will therefore benefit from the same aftersales support, including a 5-year/125,000-mile warranty package and 5 years’ roadside assistance in the UK & Europe.
Further information on price and availability of both new D-Max additions will be supplied as-and-when Isuzu dealer showrooms re-open after COVID-19 lockdown ends.

THE AWESOMESAUCE LEGACY CHALLENGE FOR THE SIMS 4
by alfalfalegacy (originally by awesimsauce)
Hi all, and welcome to my first official legacy challenge write up. This isn’t technically my own original idea, and is rather an edited version to better suit the ts4 gameplay, so all credit for the original rules goes to the original creator!
The awesomesauce legacy is a challenge that is carried out over 10 generations. There are rules and challenges per generation, but honestly, you don’t have to stick to them if you don’t want to. Just relax, have fun, and play the game as you want with this challenge!
Rules & generational challenges below
RULES
Basic legacy rules apply.
Like the original legacy, no cheats are allowed. Unless you want to. I’m not going to stop you!
Limit of 2 children per generation. No forcing twins or triplets. Though if it happens, it happens.
Your founder and at least one of your heirs must have a wedding party.
At the end of the legacy, at least one of your sims must have mastered the Selvadoradian culture skill (If you don’t have Jungle Adventure don’t worry!)
(Optional) Sim’s last name can be related to the rainbow/colour in some way (it can be as random and obscure as you would like).
Each generation is based on a different colour and that colour must be present and obvious in some way (make-up, dress, hair colour, house décor, etc.)
Each generation has a specific challenge(s) based on the colour of that generation. When playing that generation please make sure you meet all parts of the challenge (when possible)!
Most importantly have fun!!
GENERATIONAL CHALLENGES
Generation One
Colour: Blue
Challenge: Getting Started
As it is already difficult enough to begin a legacy with no cheating there is no “additional” challenges for this generation. I wonder how long it will be until your founder has wallpaper in all rooms??
Generation Two
Colour: Orange
Challenge: Creativity & Activity
Orange is a bright and happy colour. It is full of energy and can even convince the laziest person to get off their butt. It is even known to incite creativeness in even the most “uncreative people”. Thus for the orange generation, it is all about creativity and physical activity.
Money can only be made by music/painting/writing.
Must write all possible compositions for at least one musical instrument (guitar, piano, or violin).
Must max the Fitness skill.
If you have Spa Day, try and max out the Wellness skill.
Generation Three
Colour: Black
Challenge: Extreme Failure
Black is dark and moody. Black is the absence of light and thus loneliness. Black is fail, at least for the sake of this challenge. The last generation was all about the bright happy side of life. This generation what they want doesn’t matter…it’s all about their failures. And sibling rivalry and discord???? THE MORE THE BETTER!!!!
Sims may not follow their dream job/aspiration until they have completed the necessary skills or reached the top of an opposite career path or aspiration. Use your judgement with this.
Sims must have either the Gloomy or Loner trait. Or both!
Black generation sims have a hard time relating to people. Don’t let them have any relationship higher than Acquaintances until they’re a YA.
If you have Pets or My First Pet Stuff, give your heir a pet to keep them company.
The heir must be a black sheep. *
*Black Sheep, for the sake of this challenge, is described is the sim with the lowest relationship with their parents/siblings.
Generation Four
Colour: Purple
Challenge: Royalty
In many cultures, purple represents a position of royalty. In this generation, your sims will be treated like royalty and have their needs met as though they were a king or queen. The dark days are over, now it's time to sit back and enjoy life.
The heir must not be “forced” into doing any chores (cleaning the dishes, taking out the trash, etc). Those jobs are for lesser sims.
Your heir can only do fun things with their children. Leave the child-rearing aspect to someone else!
Generation 5
Colour: Brown
Challenge: Down to Earth
Brown represents the earth and those who are down to earth aren’t concerned with day to day boring jobs. Furthermore, they won’t spend their days cooped up in a house watching reruns of Criminal Minds. Rather, they will be out getting their hand's dirty digging in the earth. And that is just what this generation’s challenge is.
Money can only be made from harvested/dug up/fished items.
Must max the Gardening skill.
Must complete the Gardening collection.
Must complete the Herbalism collection. (Outdoor Retreat)
Generation 6
Colour: Green
Challenge: Money, Money, Money
Green is the colour of money, and this generation your sims are all about money. The more money they make the better!
Reach the top of two career paths! (Due to how hard it can be to complete one, this can be spread out between the heir and their partner).
Must make 100,000.
Must own or make your own business by the end of the generation.
Generation 7
Colour: Yellow
Challenge: The Pursuit of Happiness
Yellow can symbolize hope. What better way to represent that than the hope of setting out and making your own way in the world. These sims are not dependent on the ‘man’ for their nine to five! Instead, they set their own hours and make some friends along the way.
The heir must reach level 10 in one of the active or semi-active careers.
Must max the Charisma and Comedy skills.
Must have 5 good friends.
Generation 8
Colour: Red
Challenge: Fiery Passion
It is no secret that red is the colour of passion, of love and of explosive things. Those who love red are often extremely ambitious, but slightly reckless. Therefore, the challenge for this generation is achieving what you have always dreamed of and having passionate relationships.
Must have either the Hot-Headed or Self-Assured trait.
Must have 5 lovers.
Must have 5 enemies.
The heir must have a child with two different parents.
Generation 9
Colour: Pink
Challenge: The Glamour Life
Only the most glamourous sims can wear pink! This generation is all about living the high life. If you’re the most glamorous sim in town then everyone should know your name.
The heir must reach the top of the Acting or Musician career. (Acting is only possible if you have Get Famous). An alternative career to these is the Social Media career from City Living.
Must have at least 5 friends.
Glamorous sims are at the height of fashion. Change their everyday outfit every other day. Or at least once per week.
Generation 10
Colour: White
Challenge: Back to Basics
White represents simplicity, purity and innocence. After ten generations of ups and downs, it is time to return to a more simple life. Yes, you have likely amassed a great deal of wealth, but in an effort to return to the “humble beginnings” that money will have no use. We have come full circle and this generation is all about starting over and living a more simple life.
No boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/live-in-partner.
The heir must move to a simple one-two bedroom house.
No TV or computers in the house. Phones are fine though.
(Optional) Any children in this generation must be adopted.
