The first time they met in person, they talked for way longer than two people in a public library should. Even though they kept their voices appropriately low, other patrons kept sending them annoyed stares which were part desire for silence, and part displeasure at the librarian being hogged and not paying attention when they needed aid.

So, for the sake of Kaisa’s job and both of their reputations in the community, they decided to meet up again somewhere else. Somewhere where they could chat about Hilda’s visits to the library and their jobs and families without having to hear the irritated sighs of people waiting for help finding a book.

Hardly their fault that the gigantic library only hired one single librarian, really.

The weekend following their meeting, they found themselves in a coffee shop near Kaisa’s workplace, neither of them sure whether this counted as a date, but certain that they wouldn’t be the one to ask for clarification.

It was already late in the afternoon, the sky’s colour leaning more towards the warm colours now.

Which was why Johanna was slightly worried when Kaisa walked over to their table with an unreasonably large cup of black coffee.

As if I would pass up the opportunity to draw the kiddos 😌 drawing ref (& rambling) under the cut

Right, so I found this reference on pinterest and not only was it cute, it also played into my "Kaisa calls Mattie 'starlight'" agenda, so I decided to give it a try! Considering Mattieverse canon it would probably make more sense to have Mattie bringing Arwen along? But I just felt like the placements worked soo well with Harvey as the sun & Arwen as the moon (see, I can do sun/moon dynamics platonically, apparently), so here it is! I really love these characters and drawing them was so fun. The definetly deserve the appreciation, and I'd highly reccomend checking out the tagged blog to get to know them if you don't!
