I need to watch more Pokémon episodes and get a feel for Matori. I really like the idea of her. I don't think Giovanni forms emotional attachments (maybe to Persian) and I don't think he's the kind of rich guy who can't get dressed without a valet. But I like the idea of one person, just by virtue of sheer proximity, being able to tell if he's hungry/tired/getting a headache. One person who knows his whole schedule, carries an extra set of reading glasses because he always forgets his, knows if he's on medication or under a doctor's care.

And knowing those things doesn't lead to that person saying "oh wow I think I love him", but "this is how I make myself indispensable. This is how I become the next Boss."
