CUTTING WEAKER ENEMIES TO RIBBONS WITH THE SPEED & FINESSE OF A GATLING GUN.
NOTE: Not gonna lie, I've seen some decent-enough gunpla model kits posted on this website, but this piece still takes a massive crap on every single one I've ever seen on Tumblr thus far. It's game over, man.

Model Kit Build: "Gundam Heavyarms Ver. Endless Waltz" by Bandai
Awwwwww yissss. I've been so excited to build this one.
I really dig the transformable pieces on this kit. You'll see what I mean here in a bit!
First of all, a quick look at all the sprues - lots and lots of pieces. A good chunk of color on this one!
You'll have to enlarge these to see, but I always love that you get to take the pilot and build the entire cockpit around them as the first step for Master Grade kits.
It's not easy (even with the opening door) to see the pilot later, and folks that don't build might not even know that the pilot is hiding away in the chest. It's still satisfying to me to get them in there. :)
The classic torso shot, but also one for the waist/skirt. I absolutely love the white, yellow, and red colors on this unit. It's gorgeous! A little splash of blue, too.
Here is something I put together to show the impressive mechanics of a Master Grade - You have to put together skeletal/mechanical moving parts first, and then you add the armor pieces on top of those frames.
The top piece is the final unit's leg from thigh to ankle, bent at the knee. The bottom piece is the same thing, but only the mechanical parts within. For reference, the piece on the bottom is 9-12 parts (I forget) put together. The armor on top adds around 23 additional pieces!
The ammo belt for the giant chaingun took awhile - Had to get all these pieces snipped and facing the right way, threaded on the rubber strip in the middle.
Here is the final result, fed into the fully built chaingun and ammo backback, showing off the shiny "gunmetal" color/finish from the sprue.
Goodness sakes. Lots and lots and lots and lots of tiny decals to put on this sucker. That Master Grade kit life.
The final result, with no weapons active! Argh, it's so gorgeous, I love it! What a colorful one this is. Very big samurai feel. Awesome shape and form.
But wait... There's more! Let's transform all the parts and get this sucker fully armed - the whole reason I wanted this ridiculous kit to begin with:
Hell yes!
Look at all the missile compartments! The giant, swinging army knife! That big ol' gatling! The chest cannons! This is just pure, awesome overkill.
Funny thing is, you can actually buy more kits to build on top of this to add even MORE missile racks and dual quad gatlings! Yes, 8 gatlings total... I might upgrade this guy someday. For now, though... it's super rad already.

Endless Waltz variants of the Gundam Wing suits. Master Grades.
Tallgeese, Proto Zero, Wing, Deathscythe, Heavyarms, Sandrock, Shenlong, and Epyon.
Gotta build them all, plus a model kit of the NX-01 Enterprise.
Choosing between Space Marines and Sisters Of Battle to be my first army like,
And if I were to choose Space Marines, I’d have to choose between like 4-6 Chapters I really really like, so it’d just be,
But like x2 or x3.

#Repost @colvinology Attention Please!, an 8.2% hazy double IPA from Bearded Iris (@beardediris), the Master Grade GN-002 Gundam Dynames, and the 1/72 Kotobukiya High End Master Model Liger Zero Panzer (Marking Plus Version) . Getting huge tropical fruit aromas here; lots of melon, berries, and a really nice grassy dankness layered over tangerine juice. The taste follows, with a smooth sip accentuated by bright, juicy, tropical notes, and a fantastic orange peel bitterness that mellows throughout the sip. The finish sports lingering melon, guava, and a fading, grassy bitterness that puts the perfect bookend on a fantastic beer. This is the last Bearded Iris brew I have, which is heartbreaking, since I don't think they normally distribute out this way. I'll have to do a 50 state brewery tour one day, because between this and the Double Homestyle I reviewed, I get the feeling I need to try more from these guys. Because wow. . The Dynames is awesome; you already know this, so let's talk about that Panzer. This kit is incredible. The Kotobukiya Ligers have some minor fitting issues, and a few loose parts that require a drop or two of glue, but overall this is one of the best kits I've ever built. The build process is unique, and almost every single inch of the inner frame and armor is covered in detail. I panel lined this as I built with a bottle of black Tamiya, which I definitely recommend, since in my opinion, it's WAY too much to handle with just a marker. This thing has (i think) about 92 missiles, molded in red, white, and gray, and just about all of them are hidden behind openable hatches, not to mention the cannons and tail-mounted gatling guns. Basically, this thing makes the Heavyarms shit its pants, and you most definitely need it on your shelf. I only have the Jager left, and I absolutely cannot wait to have all of these finished; I'll keep you posted. JESSE’S GUNPLA SHOWCASE #01
HIGH GRADE CB-0000G/C REBORNS GUNDAM
ORIGIN: GUNDAM 00
PILOT: RIBBONS ALMARK
DATE KIT WAS ACQUIRED: JULY 2010
ASSEMBLY FINISH DATE: JULY / AUGUST 2010
Allow me to take you back in time to a little bit of my childhood, and tell you my story of how I got into Gundam, and of course, Gunpla.
I have been into Gundam for quite some time, since I was 9 years old. Since Toonami was the only outlet i had for Gundam at the time, I started with G Gundam in 2002. Unfortunately, I was turned away due to SD Gundam Force, thanks to it being a complete nightmare of a show. I eventually found my love for Gundam again thanks to the internet and Wing around ‘06 when i was 13. It eventually branched off into SEED for about 3 years. I started to see how flawed the show was with it’s repeatedly used stock footage, and story that seemed too derivative of the Original MSG, and began to lose interest again, especially after watching Destiny. And then everything changed one Monday night in 2009 when i was flicking through channels, and ended up tuning into SyFy. They were airing Episode 25 of the first season of Gundam 00. I was immediately hooked after seeing that episode, and watched over S1 and S2 when it aired that Summer. I have since then begun to watch the shows in the Universal Century Timeline in Production Order, having recently finished with F91.
Of course, with being a Gundam diehard like me, also comes the Gunpla. AKA Gundam Model Kits. Believe it or not, I actually was building the models before I even started watching any of the shows. I found a couple of older kids playing with two Non-grade Wing kits (Epyon and Heavyarms), and i wanted one too. That summer, I got my two first ever Gundam kits: Shining Gundam and Sandrock, both NG. I knew where Sandrock came from, but had no clue where Shining was from until G Gundam aired later that summer, which made it kinda special. I began to collect more kits that year, mostly from G, but I had a few from Wing as well. That Christmas, I got my first High Grade kit: A GP-01fb Zephyranthes from 0083, and it became a nightmare. I kept breaking the small parts as i was trying to remove them with my fingers, and it looked like a complete mess. It was a very discouraging experience, and so much I didn’t build another kit for 8 years after that...
Fast forward to the Summer of 2010. I was about to begin my Senior Year in High School, and I had gotten my first legitimate job as a restaurant cook. I met a friend the year before, who happened to be as much of a Gundam diehard as I was. And he had Gunpla too, specifically a MG Sinanju and a PG Gundam MK-II. I saw his Gundam Mk-II in a small display in School, and I immediately wanted to start building Gunpla again. I went to a hobby/train store out in Pewaukee, where he got his kits. I looked everywhere, and found two kits in particular. Both were from Gundam 00, and this was one of them.
The HG Reborns Gundam.
I had very little tools to work with when building this Gunpla. A small pair of scissors for removing the parts, toenail clippers for removing the nubs, tweezers for the stickers/decals, and a nail file for cleaning the stress marks (lol).
This kit took me about a week to put together. I was surprised by how easy assembly was, and how nice it turned out in the end. Sadly, upon me taking the kit out for the Showcase, a piece of the arm broke off transforming the Reborns Gundam into the Reborns Cannon. I figured it was going to have wear after seven years, but i was able to glue it back on at least. But being the first Gunpla kit i assembled in 8 years, this one will always have a special place in my heart....
.....even if it’s pilot is a dirty, lying, arrogant scumbag twat who think’s he’s above everybody else. Fucking Ribbons.
In conclusion, I chose to build the HG Reborns first believing it would be a good starter for me. I didn’t want to dive into something that would be too challenging until I was comfortable enough building. But after building the Reborns, I felt ready.
I was ready for my first Master Grade.
Next Time on Jesse’s Gunpla Showcase:
MG GUNDAM EXIA (IGNITION MODE)

Well... what a coinky dink, as I too made a questionable purchase (and plan to make more) involving a plastic model kit.
First Gundam Master Grade I've touched since the early 2000's when I built Epyon and Heavyarms Custom.
Speaking of stupid shit I bought this year
One last thing I didn’t resist buying this year… I don’t even know when I’ll get to do something with it or where I’ll put it but this will be my Magnum opus once done.
As of now I plan to start working on it in 2023 and finish preferably before 22nd August 2028.
Can you already guess what it is?
Well. I just couldn’t resist once I saw Her in stock.
1/350 scale plastic model of HMS Hood.
Nearly 75cm of ecologically unfriendly plastic goodness.
She’s MASSIVE (for a scale model).
Here - with Brother Biggus for scale:
The kit is extremely detailed and has an entry on the official HMS Hood Museum web page.
There are a few minor and major mistakes - some of which I’ll try to correct.
The thing is. I’ll take my time. I want to make Her my greatest work.
Over the next year I’ll try to acquire the detail up set suggested by the museum, anatomy of the ship book and a set of micro servos.
What are the latter for? Well. I have this crazy idea to at least make her main cannons rotate with them - everything remotely controlled.
The ideal outcome would be to install some led lights inside of the model alongside servos and make Her just shine on my shelf.
